Positives: Location (sea views, close to beach & a handful of restaurants and shops), Kids Pools (sizeable, good depth), Room (size - albeit it we were in \"prestige\" so cant comment on standard, nice balcony).
Negatives: Service (not enough staff, staff that are there work extremely long hours and appear exhausted, reception staff are a mixed bag - some helpful, some extremely rude and beyond unhelpful), Food (2 out of 10, very limited option), Food Signage (no signs and chefs frequently couldnt tell you what the meat was!!!, very dangerous for allergies etc), Drinks (small cups, big queues, terrible cocktails, beer and wine out of vending machines apart from table service at lunch/dinner), Sunbeds (not enough, people reserve them and hotel does nothing to stop this), Restaurant Availability (they also add a surcharge to non-buffet restaurants!!!), Value For Money (have had much better holiday value for the cost).

Recommendation: Not value for money. Wouldn't return. Wouldn't recommend.

Great location, very well looked after resort and a good selection at the buffet which kept everyone happy for our 10 days there. Would definitely recommend. Only down side was the themed restaurants where service was slow and food wasn’t great. Stick to the main buffet!

Butlins in Spain - 5*… not so much!

The best way I can describe this place is a Spanish Butlins. If that’s your thing then I think you’d be happy here. Children will like it as did ours, however the tedious buffet with the all inclusive deal was very tiring very quickly. Every time you went for a meal it was like going to a massive canteen. There are some restaurants on sight but you’re only allowed to book each one once… if you can find the availability, they are underwhelming and you’d be better of popping into the little town next to the complex and visiting the local restaurants a couple of them were very nice, in particular Aire is well worth a visit or two. The staff were generally friendly, but was never obvious who was in charge and everything was very chaotic, we once asked for a manger and the reply was “oh they are off today and very busy”, “Ok so who is in charge?” “Er er er”, was the response.

The rooms were very tired and in need of modernising, things like ants all over the place, old outdated decor and shower door that lets all the water run all over the floor, to name a few annoying points, but there were others.

One positive was the Kids Club staff were very good and friendly, unfortunately my kids didn’t ever want to go, which I can’t blame the hotel for!

Overall, I thought the cost of the stay was eye watering given how average this place, is it is NEVER 5* in a million years, and I think that is really misleading. I wouldn’t go there again.

Located in the quiet south east corner of the island, not far from Mahon. Large land area with many apartment blocks and communal buildings for eating, sports and entertainment. Lovely staff made us feel so welcome!

6th visit and still the best place

Our sixth visit and will be back again. Great for kids and adults, lots to do, easy to get to (20mins from airport).

Clean, uncomplicated and easy-going, nice pools, great entertainment, three shops for papers etc within 10kin walk. Bus to Mahon goes from right outside, is €1.75, takes 20mins.

Staff are friendly and work so hard to help you have a great stay

Buffet restaurant different food every night, and they have great process to avoid queues, and lots of staff.

Ents team are great, kids club full of choice, Aqua gym in the pool.

All inclusive is generous, estrella beer, good mix of spirits. Kids clubs and sports also included.

Best rooms are in yellow and red sections so that you don’t have to go up and down the hill so much. Each close by plus rock pools to explore.

We had a lovely holiday at the Punta Prima resort.The food was amazing and liked the child friendly stations.The entertainment team were very professional and we enjoyed all the different shows.Our only negatives were the bottom pools area could have been kept cleaner and glasses etc cleared at night.Also our wardrobes were damp and musky.The shower was mouldy but was cleaned when we complained.However we would love to visit this lovely resort again in the future.

It’s a ‘cowboy-job’, you can not sell what you can not delivery. IT Is NOT 5 STAR HOTEL. It is highly incontestable assumption.INCONGRUOUS. It is a exceptionally huge villa with no proper trained staff, who seemed to have any official qualifications who does work of a low standard and awful, reckless, unreliable service, offering poor low quality food, with no glamour and careless about your wellbeing. Weak, cheap, rough, jaggy. What a shame! If I could I would like to have my money back. What an unpleasant holiday experience. Shockingly unacceptable! Where you as a company and your responsibility of selling a resort 5 stars hotel for your clients and present a cheap, low-rated, disgusting self service buffet, no room service, no pool service, no available SPA service. I think is unfair and dishonest of your side as a company. It is NOT a five star hotel.OUTRAGEOUS! That is what it
ATTENTION- DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
I wish I wasn’t there. It’s NOT a FIVE STAR HOTEL. It is around 1800 people trying to shade around the noisy pools, where the infrastructure offers sunbathing beds to around 800 people. (There are even sun beds into the public park, on its grass)

No customer service whatsoever, no bar service, untrained staff, I feel sorry for those poor local employees, really (You can see they are overloaded). Ahh there are self ice cream fridge and fizzy, tea and beer machines. Wow! Thank you very much. Oh dear oh dear! IT Is NOT even a Three Star.

Beds are terrible, I expect the back ache to last a few more days, but hopefully not weeks... Shower leaked a ton, and we were told it would get fixed, but it didn't happen. The rule to avoid people from reserving pool chairs is completely ignored. The beef was uneatable. Everything else was great, including the rest of the food, but specially the service and staff.

We got back yesterday and we didn't want to come home. The resort was beautiful and perfect for for me and my family.. would definitely recommend. Brilliant place for children.. it was clean and the food was excellent could not fault this place at all and would go back in a heart beat...

Nice location, ok facilities, unremarkable service

Large resort, one minute walk from a beautiful and busy beach. Buildings are relatively new and grounds are very neat. Drinks are standard, food disappointing even for all inclusive standards, probably it’s biggest let down. Our room was mostly clean, very dated (‘Jacob was here 2000’ very obviously scratched onto the inside one of the kitchen cupboards is a giveaway).

In summary great and beautiful location, resort staff mostly indifferent to your presence (wait staff severely overworked) and food was ordinary. Very clean pools. Was a nice enough experience but we’ll look elsewhere next time.

Recent Stay at Punta Prima, Menorca

Just back from 11 days stay here.
Family of four with 2 children aged 7 and 6.
This is our second visit and it is highly recommended if you want a family holiday to relax.
If you want to sit by the pool and have a few activities within an all inclusive offer this is the best we have visited.
Staff on the whole are excellent. Attentive, enthusiastic and with a happy disposition.
Facilities are very good and well maintained.
I would not recommend for young couples, but for family it has everything you need.

All- Inclusive.

We have been on three all inclusive deals over last 4 years and this is by far the best. Drinks are all branded so you do not have to put up with the local brand spirits and beers as we had to at other places.
Food is of high quality and plentiful. If you stay for more than one week be aware the menu is based on weekly rotation. So week 2 will be same as week 1.

Only negative was it took a little while to check in on arrival. Not major but after travelling for 6 hours you just want to get to your room. In retrospect if this is only fault I could find then its very minor.

Not much to do outside the hotel, a small row of shops and bars a 5 min walk away, but this is not a party area so if you want a bit of life then look elsewhere.

Evening entertainments were OK with external acts twice a week. Entertainment staff on site are very good and work incredibly hard. However a bit more variety on evenings would be appreciated.

Excellent in every respect, from friendliness at all times to quietness at night to quality of services. Access to the beach is not so comfortable as in other places right on the beach, since the Punta Prima beach is some ten minute walk away, but that was not a problem for us. The only problem, and a big one for me, was the lack of reliability and quality of the Wifi Internet access. It is dearly paid and is available only on common areas but, in spite of this, it was quite low in speed and broke frequently when I used it. An issue to be urgently looked at in an otherwise excellent resort.

Definitely worth a Punt

Please note: review of stay in June 2012 but should still prove useful. Though Punta Prima is large complex it doesn't feel faceless and impersonal. When we arrived it was late but the hotel had laid on a cold buffet – a very nice and welcoming touch. Now, at the time of our stay our room was certainly not 4 stars...and probably hadn't been for the last few decades. But I was informed that a discreet refurbishment programme was underway. There is little outside of the resort, but Menorca is so accessible (hire car) and easy to get around that it makes no difference whatsoever. Overall: nice pool area; Great buffet food; Fun evening entertainment from the ‘animation’ team; Friendly staff. I’m not normally an AI fan but this place works. My young son loved it. Great hotel. Lovely Island. Recommended!

Lovely hotel on a fantastic Island! Read for an honest review!

We stayed here for 11 nights in June 2012. We have a 16 month old baby, and the place was perfect for us as the majority of the guests at the hotel were also with children. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful with a luxurious feel and quality, as would be expected for a 5 star resort. We stayed in a standard apartment (not the Prestige) and on the whole the room was lovely. However we did feel that the decor of the room could do with updating, especially in the bathroom. It was just getting a bit tired and was in need of modernisation to current standards. However this view is subjective and is only our opinion (we have very high standards!) and other guests might disagree.

We can't really fault the hotel - the food is really good (although the buffet could do with more variety over the days you will stay), the service is exceptional (especially in the Italian Il Faro restaurant, the staff here really deserve to be praised). The facilities are really really great, lovely swimming pools, great Gym, Tennis, Squash Courts, Spa, kids entertainment. Really this place has everything you need and could want for.

We would highly recommend going all inclusive, as for us at least if gave us the break we needed from the regular daily (cooking, cleaning) chores that we wanted to so get away from.

One downside that was really quite unacceptable for us is that there is no site-wide Internet Access!! Which for a 5 star resort is totally unacceptable. I know you come on holiday to get away from the daily e-mail grind, but not everyone is that lucky and we wanted to use it to look up places on the Island and plan trips etc. Let me reiterate that there is internet access in the Reception (which you have to pay for separately), but if you want to sit on your balcony, or in the room or by the pool and use the internet, forget it. I work in IT myself and this is so easy to implement across the site that I personally was really miffed that this wasn't a feature. (I'd even install it myself across the site for the Hotel if they asked me!).

On the whole the Hotel is thoroughly recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, or sing it's praises to other people. The Island is fantastic, the beaches wonderful and the local people friendly and extremely nice.

I would recommend you get a hire car and go see the Island properly, don't just sit in the Hotel for your holiday, not unless this is all you want to do of course! There are some amazing beaches to suit every taste and some fantastically beautiful towns and villages and sights. Make sure you go to Del Toro, best view on the Island.

Really, highly recommended to all, you will not be disappointed - the grumbles I mention above did not spoil the holiday at all.

A brief over view by a senior citizen.

Thr hotel complex was well laid out and spacious. The part of the hotel complex that held the areas for the children and spports was set on the top of the complex and apart from the rest of the hotel. This was a sensible idea that allowed the youngsters to let off steam without intruding into the quiet for other guests. Very easy access to the coastal path and the nearby white sand beach and crystal clear sea. The path was a very picturesque walk with a lot of bird life. I felt that overall there was a feeling of tranquility. How much that was due to the begining of the season I don't know.
The Bar area and stage area in one large building was not a good set up for the guests. No real peace and quiet in the evenings. Regretably entertainment is synonymous with how can we create the greatest volume of noise. The entertainment seemed good for the children. When it came to 'Showtime' at 9.15 pm things went rapidly downhill. The resident team were unfortuneatly lacking in their ability and the content was poor.

No sun loungers left !

The hotes standards and food l lived up to my expectations as I have stayed there before about 3 years ago. It is a nice hotel with lovely pools.

The only change in the hotel is the massive increase in Russians, who now visit. And unlike the Germans who put towels out early, the Russian visitors put their towels out even earlier! There was on day when 3 of us were sharing 1 lounger by the pool.

And they are really loud, they shout at each other and their children across the pool, cafe, breakfast. Really any where ! I won't go back mostly because of the loudness of the place. Thank goddness for ipods ! They block some noise.

Lovely place ,even though busy plenty of room. Superb pools to cater for all ages. Hotel staff friendly,activity staff some more pro active than others! Only down side very expensive when you arrive, we booked bed and breakfast. Would definitely return in the future.

Good facilities.Excellent pools. The site however is on a hill and some of the paths are quite steep and wouldn't suit everyone. Had to pay extra for use of apartment safe and hire of a kettle which I wouldn't expect for a five star facility. Restaurant food for breakfast very good. Plenty of organised activity for kids and adults. Regular bus service to Mahon every hour.

Vaya decepción nos llevamos, un 5 estrellas que máximo llega a 3. Terrible la comida, para nada lo que uno espera en un hotel con precios de 5 estrellas, agua del grifo en los bares, platos siempre sucios, instalaciones anticuadas, servicio de housekeeping que aparece a las 15:40 en una habitación donde hay 2 bebés, que evidentemente están haciendo la siesta, y ya ni vuelve. No volveremos.

Les points positifs: le personnel est toujours serviable et souriant. Le buffet est ce que l'on attend pour un hôtel l'été en all inclusive, les boissons sont des vraies marques servies dans des bouteille en verre, par contre le vin ne surtout pas y toucher. Les piscines sont grandes, le club est situé proche de la plage. La taille des chambres est très bien et propre. C'est un complexe familial donc il n'y a pas trop de bruit le soir. Les alcools ne sont pas sous marques et grande dedicace au spécialiste des cocktails à base de gin, merveilleux.

Les points négatifs : l'accueil, notre chambre n'était pas prête et aucune info des personnes, ils étaient débordés avec pas grand chose.Pour la litterie des chambres, j'ai eu mal au dos tous les jours, la propreté des sanitaires communs. Pour notre chambre nous avons été obligés de passer à l'accueil pour avoir du papier toilette et pour faire notre chambre. Les restos à thème ont aucun intérêt pourquoi faire un resto italien dégueulasse alors que tu peux faire un resto avec des produits locaux et typique de Minorque....je ne vous parle même pas celui proche de la piscine.... Il faut absolument mettre des regles pour les transats de la piscine, les mecs posent leurs serviettes et reviennent 2h apres donc plus aucune place a 10h du matin.

En résumé un club plein de charme avec du personnel charmant, mais à privilégier plutôt juin, début juillet ou septembre mais pas en pleine saison car il m'a que du personnel.

La struttura ha camere pulite e belle piscine. Tuttavia la ristorazione è poca varia, di media qualità. I due ristoranti non a buffet sono difficili da prenotare e la loro qualità non è all'altezza di un 5 stelle. Servizi deludenti con orari poco consoni ad una vita da villaggio.

Instalaciones y lugar top pero enfocado a familias inglesas de clase media-baja que buscan estar todo el dia en la piscina y el restaurante bebiendo y comiendo... La comida bastante regular y TODAS las actividades en inglés. No creo que sea un 5 estrellas aq tenga instalaciones y ubicacion para serlo, mas bien un 4 estrellas justito. Los horarios de restaurante son dificiles de seguir por un español, comida de 12,30 a 14 y cenas de 18,30 a 21h

Bel établissement, logement spacieux, la literie manque de fraîcheur, les oreillers très plats pas confortables, les draps sentait un peu l'humidité.
Le service et la restauration sont bien mais on n'a pas accès à l'eau potable directement (distributeur de soda mais pas d'eau) il faut toujours demander au bars.

El trato amable de TODO el personal del resort fue perfecto. La masajista maravillosa. Hemos estado super super a gusto, con mucha pena de volver. Si tengo que poner una pega... Sería la comida del buffet, sin más pero bien dentro de lo que cabe. Otra pega es que no me parece muy lógico que el restaurante temático mexicano solo este abierto lunes y martes 😭 nos lo habían recomendado y nos quedamos con ganas. Nosotros volveremos. En general ESTUPENDO!!!

Bastano pochi commenti, ma essenziali, per descrivere il resort in questione:
1) pulizia nella norma
2) staff poco professionale per un 5 stelle, barman incapace di fare cocktail diversi dal solito, non è ammissibile per un 5 stelle
3) cibo non classificabile per un 5 stelle, direi al massimo sufficiente per un 4 stelle
4) Poca attenzione alla pulizia negli spazi comuni (piscine in particolare) per colpa dei soliti cafonazzi che non si degnano neppure di alzarsi e camminare 2 metri per buttare il bicchiere sporco
5) troppi stranieri per i miei gusti, e per fortuna mancavano gli inglesi quest’anno
6) animazione sufficiente, niente di che soprattutto negli spettacoli serali
7) nessuno controllava che ci fossero i distanziamenti sociali previsti per la sicurezza e non misuravano la temperatura corporea, non va bene
8) chiunque può accedere alla struttura dalla stradina che porta al mare, non esistono recinzioni

Tutto sommato il mio giudizio da 1 a 10 e’ 6

Le complexe est agréablement reparti. Bâtiments de deux niveaux, vue mer de certaines chambres. Espace vert bien entretenus.
Concernant les chambres, celles qui sont rénovées sont fonctionnelles. Seul hic l isolation haut/bas (bruits d utilisation des sanitaires du haut)
Hôtel fréquenté par de nombreuses familles et pour cause tarif attractif en tout inclus avec enfants.
Salle de restauration beaucoup trop vaste et bruyante donnant l impression d être dans une cafétéria. Dommage..alors que quelques aménagements permettraient de rendre les repas plus agréables.
Piscine intérieure accessible aux familles de 10h/14h. Elle est ensuite réservée aux adultes.
Cours de tennis corrects avec prêt de raquette.
