If you get a room with an ocean view it is beautiful. The hotel is far from restaurants and beaches. They have only two elevators for six floors. The pool closes at 7 pm and it is small for the amount of people in the hotel. The dining room is full of flies. The outside patio is a better choice when dining. The food is not the best.

Stayed last minute due to a flight cancellation staff on reception at check in were amazing and really helpful.
They were accommodating when we requested a room change. We only ate breakfast the choice was very good as was the quality.You do need a car as quite remote but the small town has a couple of restaurants.
The chain does have other hotels in the town and has a small train that links them every 20 mins.

My stay was wonderful at the hotel.
The staff was incredible, they are very hard working and dedicated to their jobs.
Their facilities are plenty and fun to use.
The pool are was splendid.
I just have 3 elements that I was not glad with:
1. The water from the bathroom sink is not drinkable as it is chlorinated.
2. The dishes were not properly cleaned, I was always struggling to find a clean dish to eat breakfast or dinner.
3. In my room 531 in the bathroom where the glass is not properly sealed in the corner. Water was always falling down on the edge and was gathering on the floor.

The room is comfortable but noise from adjacent rooms is disturbing. No coffee in the room and no breakfast before 8 am means you should supply your own coffee if you want an early cup. Limited dining alternatives nearby and no sandy beach unless you take a long walk or drive. Recommend you rent a car to see more attractive parts of Menorca.

Our hotel was changed to the Alua Soul and we were given suites. The holiday was a birthday present to my Father and we were all blown away by the accommodation so thank you very much. All the staff were amazing especially the reception staff for booking taxis and helping my dad after he had too much wine and locked himself out of the safe. I would recommend this to anyone and thank you for an unforgettable holiday.

Great choice hotel in S'algar

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alua Illa de Menorca Hotel. Staff were professional and helpful and the entertainment staff were particularly upbeat and full of fun. The food buffets were consistently good with loads of choice. Our room had a great sea view and I would definitely recommend paying a little extra for this. The quality of the evening entertainment varied but the Soul brothers were excellent. There were very few children there during our stay but I expect the hotel is a lot busier during school holiday time.

A quiet break

A very nice hotel, with good facilities, pools, bar and gym, has a restaurant and a snack bar near the pool, a very nice buffet breakfast. Rooms are very clean and well equipped, superb views if you opt for sea view. Toiletries are supplied and there is a safe in room at extra cost. TV is a little on the small size, but adequate, free WiFi. Room has a very large comfy bed and fridge, Air Con and blackout curtains, with balcony. Staff are friendly and helpful. Situated in a very quiet area, away from main towns. There are two courtesy shuttle minibus to the Beach resort of Punta Prima or Mahon. This service has to be booked in advance and takes 8 passengers. The hotel is set in a very quiet area. There are two supermarkets, two restaurants and bars, a sandwich shop and souvenir shop. We visited out of season in May, so a couple of places were closed. There is a lovely walk, along the slightly rocky coast line to a hidden beach. There is a bar and restaurant there, or another lovely restaurant with views before you get there.

Very quiet hotel, peaceful retreat

Very quiet hotel situated at top of short hill to sea, where sister hotel Port Blue S’Algar (Adults only) hotel is situated. Guests of Port Blue San Lois Hotel could use facilities of Port Blue S’Algar and Port Blue Las America’s Hotel further up hill, but could only eat at restaurants where you were actually staying. Drinks were available where ever you were and if your were fully inclusive then these were free at all locations. Food was very good, we expected average, but were pleasantly surprised. Staff throughout resorts were excellent, very friendly at bars and resturants, Juan at our pool lunch restaurant must get a special mention as he remembered our room number after the couple of days, quite a feat as the hotel had 240 rooms and hotel looked fairly full. Sun beds were plentiful never had to get up early to reserve one, even some were available after lunchtime. Only points to note is that there is no beach at S’Algar but beautiful clear water which is easy to swim in. Very relaxing peaceful holiday, plus added benefit free curtesy bus to neighbouring resorts Punta Prima and Binibeca which was an added bonus. Will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future.

Entertainment staff were entertaining. S'algar itself is quiet resort however the hotel offers free transfers to Mahon, Punta Prima and any of the other 3 hotels in resort so enough to keep you busy.

Good value for the price paid on Expedia

For the price we paid we cannot complain, however had this been our main holiday I would make the following comments. It's not 4* in my opinion - we had to pay for pool towels and a safe key and the air conditioning is not 24 hour. The rooms were small and not well equipped (no mini bar, no iron, no guest information pack etc). We had booked a double sea facing room. The first receptionist tried to convince us that the room overlooking the mountain had a partial sea view. It didn't and I'm not easily convinced - thank fully we were moved. The new room was sea view but two beds pushed together - bizarre - and made up as single beds so you could quite easily fall in between the two. They were not even zipped together at the base.

The reception staff in the adult only hotel were of a significantly higher calibre and spoke English although the S'Algar was let down by the lady seating guests during the evening in the main restaurant who was exceptionally rude and some of the waiters clearly had no idea what drinks were included in the AI option and so we were given duff information. Overall I would say that the food service, selection and waiter service was significantly better in the San Luis. The evening entertainment in the S'Algar was exceptional but if you have kids it would be better to stay at the San Luis which seemed to have a dreadful animation team catering for the younger clientele.

Beach Transfers Available By Booking.

We found the staff to be helpful, friendly and for the most part able to communicate well in English.
We never had any problem finding a sunbed by the pool but unless you wish to be by the sea every day its ideal if a little out of the way. The hotel provides FREE transfers to two beaches but bookings are limited and first come first serve. Food and eating area were excellent and air conditioning is very good throughout the hotel with an option to dine outside on the terrace if you wish. There were a few broken tiles in the bathroom but this did nothing to affect our stay as it was purely cosmetic. Don`t make the same mistake if booking transfers as the hotel is in S Algar and NOT St Luis which is quite some distance away from the hotel although it is called St Luis. There is also a free train ride that takes you for around 10 to 15 mins between the sister hotels and which you can also dine at and use the facilities I am told, There are also different activities organised by the animacion team including archery, soccer and aqua aerobics and some form of pool based activity ie volleyball daily also so if you are not too bothered by not going to the beach every day, unless you have a car or want to go by taxi its an ideal place to relax.

Clean hotel with pleasant staff

My wife and I stayed in the middle of July for 4 nights getting a short break from working life. We arrived late on a Friday evening at about midnight. The staff on duty were very pleasant and helpful and we were checked in in no time. The room was immaculate, clean and just what we needed for our short break, I would liken it to a Premier Inn type of standard, nothing too exciting, but clean and functional, it worked for us.
The hotel as a whole is very clean and well run. The staff in the hotel are very pleasant and keen to help.
If we had to make any grumble about the hotel it would be that the food selection at meal times (we stayed half board) was not very exciting, I would imagine if you stayed any longer than the time we did you would get bored of the food pretty quick, having said that, what was on offer was well presented and tasted exactly how you would expect.
The entertainment team were very good and there was always something going on day and night in the pool and shows in the evening. Children were also entertained in the evening for a short period. All the entertainment stopped at around 11.45pm and went quiet as the hotel is situated in a residential area.

There is a large sports complex over the road which the hotel runs and the facilities were very good. The centre has shower facilities with free towels from reception if you have a late flight and want to use the hotel pool all day and clean up later, as we did when checking out.

I really loved this hotel. I am 30 years old and went with my boyfriend for some days to menorca. I feel i couldnt have chosen a better hotel. The all inclusive is a must. Good drinks and really good food. Staff was behond attentive and nice. Erik at the front desk went out of his way to help us with anything we needed. The hotel chain owns a couple more hotels and restaurants in the same part of the island so you can use your all inclusive plan in other facilities. Some reviews say this is a hotel for older people, I did not feel that way! Its not a hotel for drunken young single people thats for sure (if its party what you want go to ibiza). Its a great hotel for couples, families and low key single people. 2 thumbs up!!

This large hotel mainly caters for elderly tourists and families in all-inclusive holidays. It is situated in a quiet town with numerous elderly ex-pat residents. Beach here not great, but several nice coves nearby. Two swimming pools available including one for children.

L’établissement en lui même est bien, dispose d’une grande piscine un espace spa un peu plus loin, etc etc, mais la salle de bain de la chambre n’était pas bien entretenu (joints sales, salle de bain abîmée…) , les chambres sont très mal insonorisées, nous entendons tout dans les couloirs ainsi que les bruits des lits que les femmes de chambres font les matins. Le restaurant et petit déjeuner est varié, la nourriture assez bonne mais pas d’une qualité extraordinaire (jus et confitures industriels…) J’ai apprécié le séjour de 3 nuits mais c’était suffisant.

Das Personal ist teilweise unfreundlich. Das Buffet wird nur sporadisch nachgefüllt und an manchen Tagen gibt es nur Dosenobst. Die Zimmer sind hellhörig und in die Jahre gekommen.

Je recommande cet hôtel, un accueil chaleureux, une équipe d’animateur et de restauration superbe. Les activités proposées été superbe.
Niveau restauration le buffet à volonté était super, manque peut être plus de variété, que ça soit pour le dîner que pour le petit déjeuner.
La navette privé pour aller sur la capitale ou même la plage la plus proche c’est agréable ça permet de faire autre chose que de rester à l’hôtel. Le personnel est super.

Nice hotel. Island is not to big, so location of the hotel is not the most important. Its about 20 minutes from the capital. Staff is nice and rooms are good.

Cleaning Service is very bad, they forget to refill stuff and they are not very careful. Never experienced that in a 4 star hotel.
Reception is amazing and very helpful though.

Très sympa, très agréable

Séjour très agréable.
Équipe d’animation très sympa et très dynamique.
Buffet de repas plutôt correct et varié. Mention spéciale pour les viennoiseries, bien meilleures que dans la plupart des hôtels de cette gamme.
Le seul point négatif est la mauvaise insonorisation des chambres.
