Upon checking in late in the evening the receptionist wasn’t very accommodating and helpful. The apartment was in a great size and the private pool and terrace great, the floor was dirty and the windows as well making me feel like the room had been empty for a while and they had forgotten to do a little extra clean before my arrival.
The food on offer and the variety of the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner is very limited and I must say I did not feel like I was in a 4 star hotel.
Overall I had a good stay and enjoyed the quietness

Brilliant stay!

Perfect! Everyone who works there, from the hotel to the pool, were/ are absolutely fantastic. Cava at check in and available for breakfast 😘👌we went for a totally chilled holiday, and that is what we got. Would have stayed longer if we could!

We had a great week here at AluaSoul, I don’t know what the poor reviews are about but the all inclusive option had as much food and drink to satisfy an army. The adults-only pool is lovely with lots of loungers with own fully stocked bar with snacks. Great staff. Really quiet and friendly place. Will be back.

Beautiful relaxing escape away in a peaceful location. Numerous beaches short walks away with easy access to other touristy areas as needed. Didn't really want to leave the hotel most days. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and good choice was impressive

It is a lovely place and a nice location although not very much around the area to do in the evening we still had an enjoyable stay.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Alexa really stood out and was so lovely, always upbeat and very positive. I can’t believe that she remembered everyone’s name. She definitely deserves a five star rating.

We were only here for a short stay to attend a family wedding, but would probably return again and do a lot more exploring. Although admittedly taxi’s can be quite expensive

The area is very quiet, close to the ocean and 2 supermarkets close by as well.
The property offers transport to a beach (free) as well as to the city MAO (4 euro).
If you like to dive, you can do that too right at the property.
Also the food is great.
There was nothing I did't like.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff are all friendly and helpful, especially Alberto and Alexa.

Great facilities and peaceful. Lovely pool area and spa. (Steam room wasn’t working)

The pool area has one adults pool for guests only, which they had reserved for a private party one day which was annoying. But the days we did use it weren’t overcrowded and always a sunbed. The other pool is open to the public and it seems they allowed kids.

The restaurant is great with pretty views over the sea. Food was good, the only negative was the labels weren’t updated so was hard to know what was veggie.

Good singers for evening entertainment most nights.

There isn’t much in the location so I’d recommend all inclusive. There is sea to swim but not a beach, the hotel offers a free shuttle to a nearby beach. Also Hop on the free land train for a tour around s’algar.

We would return.

Great experience! Quiet, clean, great location (only 10km from Mahon), easy parking, variety of food, staff always polite and smiling (from Sara and Racquel at front desk to Beatriz and Maria Jesus in restaurant). Just clarify any doubts at front desk from using mini bar to staying around pool area so no confusion later on (basically listen carefully for the instructions even if its all inclusive). I would highly recommend you stay at this Hyatt property!

Old fashioned building but nowt they can do about that. Def not a 4 star.
Claims to have 4 restaurants/bars. It has one restaurant- buffet style - similar food for lunch and dinner for 4 days.
When one bar at the pool closes, the hotel bar is open.
Pool opens at 10 and closes at 6 (must be out by 7 from the pool area) - the best time of day to not burn your skin is missed. The techno music by the pool is infuriating and not relaxing.
They kept our washing and ironing for 3 days - meaning it needed re-ironing. They gave us a voucher for the pool restaurant as compensation- but the entrecôte was so chewy it went in the bin.
The only evening bar has loud music, or you can sit outside and get bitten by mozzies.
The rooms we booked were wrong. Then one of us got the wrong tag which was not all inclusive.
When you want to change anything on Expedia, you cant, because they deal with head office who only have an answerphone. When we did it, the request for the doubles sea view which we had paid a higher price for, did not relay to the hotel. Keep any e mails!
One of our rooms was allowed for a late check out by a previous guest so we could not get in until 6 compared to 2pm as advertised. No compensation.
They charge for bottled water.
Nowt to do locally and only 2 other small restaurants and bars in town.
The lift in the hotel takes you upstairs one floor, after that you have to carry your luggage to get to your room up/down at least 10 step

It was a pleasant enough experience but learning on arrival one had to pay for loungers by the pool or be crammed into the adults only section was sad. It felt like a meat market of loungers lined up or €10 or more for a sunlounger by the pool. This should chage.
The coffee at breakfast was just a long sweaty queue. Unpleasant. It would be easier to make a pot per table I’m sure.
The staff were wonderful. But all in all quite basic across the board. A nice pleasant stay But there are definite some things that need work.

Only downside was that we were booked in for an early breakfast this morning (6:50) before our airport pick up - but when we got up to the restaurant we were not expected - no coffee available (except water) felt like we were turned away - did say we were booked but it may have been lost in translation. Staff very good in general.

Swimming facilities are excellent and location immediately on the water. no sandy beach within walking distance but this wasnt missed. there is much fun to be had jumping off the rocks into the sea! the water there is truly exceptional - super clean and crystal clear.

Facilities at the pool are in excellent condition, especially the hotel guest only pool which is 10/10.

Hotel itself is in good condition - lobby, restaurant, rooms although the lift and the corridors let it down (not a big deal). Food in the buffet was good with lots of choice including a good salad bar with ample condiments and dressings. Food at the beach club restaurant was not good.

Service was generally good, although some of the works were not that friendly.

Location is good - as mentioned above on a nice part of the coast line and < 30 mins from he airport. Note that if you want to do stuff outside of the hotel in the evenings you will need to get a car or taxi as the whole area is a resort town mostly focused on this hotel and its sisters.

Where to start. It was our second visit there, and we will continue to visit for many years! The staff are unbelievably friendly and it is situated in such a lovely area. The locals are also very friendly and luckily speak a bit of English. I would highly recommend to anyone.

First time and we liked it a great deal,we where the first party after the hotel had been closed for the winter it was just getting to grips with things like no information package to tell you how to use the telephone and times of meals(but displaced at entrance to the dinning area)etc The whole area was so clean and tidy well painted,staff always helpful and greeted with a smile, A big thank you for a very nice restful holiday

Wonderful holiday. Hotel staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food plentiful and very good quality. Spotless room, bathroom particularly good- looked to be recently refurbished and had an excellent powerful shower. Only issue was that air con was inadequate.
Shared gym and sport facilities at sister hotel were excellent. We hired bikes and set off along the Cami de Cavalls for a fun day out.
Overall, incredibly pleased with S'algar and our choice of hotel. Disappointed it closes over winter so we have to wait a while before we can return!

Great last minute choice for a restful break.

Menorca first visit is great - hotel fitted in perfectly with this and we could find no fault with anything at this hotel. We will visit again.

Note: Expedia will need to advise passengers when they book that airline may charge extra for hold luggage - Monarch charged £78 for one case which changed for us the cost of our holiday.

Good hotel, good restaurant, nice setting, but when they say \"adult only\" hotel, the age group were people starting to get grey hair. i.e.: 45 plus plus plus. Then this is called a resort, but the activities are minimal, scuba diving ( wrong age group ! ), football pitch ( wrong age group), tennis courts ( ok for the younger ones ha ! ) and table tennis ( yippee !!).
As no beach or activities to talk of, a car is essential or you will miss the beautiful island of Menorca !

Outstanding customer service in top hotel

We arrived prior to check in time, but the hotel gently kept out baggage while allowed us to use the swimming pool and public facilities. At check in time, our room was not available due to an internal error, but they offered an upgrade at no extra cost. We were greatly surprised by their kindness. We found the rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff were at all time outstanding with respect to attention to detail and customer comfort. Breakfast was excellent, and staff at the restaurant extremely kind. The swimming pools were great, clean and well equipped, and fun social activities were held several times a day. We had a wonderful stay and we would definitely come bak and recommend it!

Lovely hotel, but!

This is a lovely hotel but a bit tired. Please do not advertise as double rooms, because they are not. Simply pushing two single beds together does not make it a double! The pool bar food on the day we had a club sandwich. The chips were cold and under cooked, these were replaced with more uncooked chips and the deep fried chicken on the sandwich had been cooked in cool fat so was full of fat. The meal was sent back, but we were still charged, I challenged this when checking out and it was quickly removed from the bill.

Here to visit friends who have a home in the town. Hotel reception staff were very nice - room was ready before actual check-in time which was a bonus. We had breakfast included in our price and the food was very good - lots of choice, staff in restaurant were helpful. Pool staff not so friendly - we had to pay for drinks which were very expensive I felt and staff could see you were waiting but did not attempt to come over to serve you until they were ready. I would not say it was a 4 star - quite tired in places and could do with a revamp but very clean, fresh towels every day and rooms were cleaned very early each day.

Hotel has multiple locations within this tourist urbanisation. Hotel fine, somewhat dated, but clean. Fixtures need updating. Breakfast again OK but poor quality catering.
Pool located over the road next to the water, and this was the star of the hotel, although no beach, access to the beach was via steps.

A real treat!

I can't speak highly enough of The SAlgar Resort overall & the hotel in particular. We were delighted to be upgraded to a sea view suite which had a covered terrace - absolutely lovely. The facilities were excellent and all the staff, in the dining room, the maid who cleaned our room (spotless) and all the staff in the coffee and bistro areas around the pool were polite, friendly and very efficient. It was noticeable how clean the whole of the local areas were also. It was a child free hotel, not that we dislike them, but it added to the quiet and relaxing atmosphere we were looking for on this particular holiday!

Stayed in seaside suite. Room lovely and spacious with huge comfortable bed. View to sea very good. Have to walk to hotel for meals.

Breakfast ok. Lots of fruit which I like. Cooked omelected which was very good.

Evening buffet poor, lots of flies on salad. Dishes empty with very slow replacement. Not very good. Had to chase someone for drinks with meal (water).

Following day did not bother with dinner in.

Not information regarding pool towels, had to ask. No information about early breakfast before leaving for airport. Was told should have requested the night before.

Nit what is expected of r star hotel.

Arrived at the hotel soon after some bad weather that had damaged a few rooms, so spent the first night at a sister hotel a few minutes away. Provided with all inclusive food and drink and a sea view room, and very good service. Next day returned to hotel S'Algar where our new sea view room, with balcony, was ready for us. Beautiful setting, newly fitted bathroom and pleasant and helpful staff. Our only moan would be for a wider choice of buffet food. Although what was provided was OK.
Would gladly return to this peaceful resort.

This hotel was booked as a 4 night respite break for me along with my mother, sister & niece. I couldn't have wished for anywhere better. The atmosphere is totally relaxed as it's an adult only hotel. The staff were the friendliest of any hotel I've stayed in. Nothing is to much trouble and they always greeted you with a smile. My sister emailed the hotel prior to our stay without my knowledge to explain the importance of this break for myself and on arrival we had all been upgraded to a Seaview suite which was just wonderful.

If you're looking for a lively, lots to do resort then S'Algar is not for you. Otherwise it's just lovely as a chill out, do nothing holiday to feel totally rested at the end of it.

SEASIDE SUITES SALGAR HOTEL MENORCA

We were interested top see what they had done to the \"Old\" Raflet bungalows, they upgrade them to the Seaside Suites, 10 in total.
Must say that we were really impressed with the overall appearance and loved the location of the suites.
You went to the Hotel Salgar for your meals if you were Band B or Full Board.

The only negative is the fact that the food, improved overall from previous visits has improved, BUT the hot food on the Buffet need to be HOT not just warm. They could easily improve this by having HOT plates and not cold ones to put the food on.

Me decepcionó la habitación. Nos pusieron en una habitación vista al mar, pero no se parecía nada a las fotos. Estaba en planta calle por lo que no podías relajarte en la terraza sin ser visto por las personas que pasean por la calle. La vista era a un aparcamiento y más allá se veía el mar. Nada que ver con las fotos.

Nous avons séjourné à l’hôtel AluaSoul Menorca en formule all inclusive et tout était parfait. Rien à redire : large choix à chaque repas, ainsi qu’au bar le soir, et les services annexes sont d’une grande qualité (plusieurs piscines, jacuzzi, salle pour stocker les bagages le jour du départ afin de profiter de la piscine jusqu’au dernier instant :) et appel de taxi en cas de besoin). Le personnel, et tout particulièrement les serveuses et les réceptionnistes, a toujours été agréable lors de notre séjour, souriant et surtout très disponible. Toutes nos demandes ont été prises en compte rapidement. Nous avons passé un séjour vraiment agréable et reposant. Encore un grand merci à toute l’équipe !

The staff is excellentand always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner also are very delicious, the waitreses and waiters do a very great job. We enjoyed our stay very much and we are sure to return there.

Nice hotel, but if you really like ot quiet it is not the best option. The walls are very thin, you hear every word the neighbour say, even if somebody plugged in the electronic device you could hear it very loud. Also the shows which they have 5 days a week you can hear in the room loud and clear. Even if the room is on the other side of the event. A pitty that you could not read that kind of info at the booking. We would have decided differently. The floor in the room was not very clean, breakfast was ok - huge varieties. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. All in one - nice hotel but not for us - we will not come again.

Bel endroit

Bel hôtel chambre moderne et confortable. La piscine est en face de l'hôtel séparée par une route mais ce n'est pas gênant. Par contre transats dans la partie adulte Only payant, ce n'était pas indiqué à la réservation. Sinon on peu facilement s'installer gratuitement ailleurs. Très peu de restaurant autour. Mer à accecible via la plate-forme devant la piscine, chaussures de mer conseillées.

Me garantizaron que podría comer sin problema y con todas las garantías siendo celíaca, pero la realidad fue que había poca variedad para celíacos y sin garantías, no distinguían entre la lactosa y el gluten, y más de uno no sabía lo que era. Pase 4 días horribles, los últimos dos dias tuve la suerte de que llegaron cocineros que sabían lo que hacían y pude comer más tranquila.

Me parece de vergüenza que garanticen un servicio que no están preparados para ofrecer solo por tener un cliente más.

Ojalá aprendan de esto y formen a sus trabajadores, la mala experiencia se viene conmigo.

We stayed there for three nights. It’s was to be honest okay.
The Hotel is far away from civilization, there is nothing around, the only way out is taxi, which costs at least 20 euro.
The hotel was clean, room as the pictures and clea!
The food breakfast was okay, lunch and dinner weren’t that good though but we were forced to eat there because there wasn’t another choice.
Total i would give this Hotel 3 stars!

DIe Unterkunft hat gehalten was sie versprochen hat und wie es auf der Hompage ersichtlich war. Super Lage mit Aussicht auf das Meer, ruhig, sauber, freundliches Personal, hervorragendes Buffet.....
alles was es für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht!
