THe hotel was simply amazing. Luxury at its best. Stayed in 3 different rooms… as odds as it seems. The one with the ocean view was amazing. Decided to upgrade to full suite with kitchen area, living room room, sitting room and bedroom. If u can splurge…. Omg. Do it. Wrap around balcony. Corner windows overlooking the ocean and the resort itself. Sublime!!

We stayed 5 days at Alila Semimyak, we were impressed with twice a day housekeeping and unlimited amount of drinking water, great amenities, cleanliness and the super nice staff.
It happened that I celebrated my birthday during our stay and was surprised with a birthday cake and a card from the staff in our room

My husband and I stayed at Alila Seminyak for a week starting August 26th, and it was nothing short of pure bliss. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff made us feel truly cared for. Special mention to Alit (Hotel Manager) and Geoffrey (Concierge)—their genuine kindness and daily check-ins made a lasting impression. While every staff member was exceptional, these two went truely above and beyond.

Our room was hands-down the best we’ve ever stayed in (thanks to Alit). The breathtaking view overlooking the adults-only pool, offered complete serenity. It was the peaceful escape I needed after recently losing my beautiful Mum. For me the hotel became a sanctuary of tranquility and healing. I couldn’t have asked for better.

It is literally steps away from Seminyak’s busy streets, shopping, cafes, and restaurants and yet you wouldn’t know it inside the grounds.

The breakfasts and coffee were amazing with a wide range of à la carte options. The open-air reception, three stunning pools, and beach bar with live music created a perfect balance of relaxation and lively atmosphere.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a highlight—delicious food, amazing cocktails and the sunset at night was just beautiful.

We met a couple who return every year, and they shared how the staff remember them and their daughter by name. That kind of personal touch speaks volumes. Alila Seminyak isn’t just a hotel—it’s a rare gem. We will be back!

We stayed here for 3 days on our honeymoon. The room was great as was the location to Seminyak. The pool was beautiful and relaxing and had great views of the ocean and the live music by the bar at night was great. The atmosphere was really lively, but not too loud/crowded that you couldn’t relax.

However, the spa was overpriced compared to luxury spas outside the hotel.

The area outside the hotel was a disappointment, with poorly maintained roads, pavements, and pedestrian walkways, making for a frustrating experience.

Alila is absolutely stunning! This was my second time staying within 2 months and I just can’t get enough! We were greeted by Yeni again at check in which she was so sweet and we were even surprised with a room upgrade!! The room was absolutely stunning with a gorgeous view of the serenity pool and ocean! The food is amazing at all times and room service is 24 hours! We went to the Beach Bar after their kitchen closed and they still accommodated to us and made sure we had some dinner. There’s a buggy to transport you to and from the lobby to the street, possibly even to Seminyak Square. Housekeeping is twice a day and they're soo fast. Overall the amenities and staff are all amazing. I'll forever be staying at Alila when I visit Bali.

This property was beautiful and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I have to give a big shout-out to Wira, who went above and beyond to help my partner who was using crutches due to a recent accident. Wira was so accommodating and always ready with a wheelchair when we needed him.

Such a beautiful hotel. We were lucky enough to stay in an oceanview room and it was even better than expected. I would say it’s worth the money to try at least once when you visit Bali or if you have a special event to celebrate. Everything was stunning. The buffet breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, also worth the money. Next door to some of the most popular beach clubs, although you won’t even want to leave because Alila’s pools are even better. Lots to do nearby including food and shopping.

Great and attentive staff member. Most, if not all of our room service requests were completed within five minutes or less. The staffs were very friendly and helpful.

The overall property is okay to good. The bar / pool area is nice with a great view of the ocean.

The room seems dated and dark. The lobby area is a bit dark too, could open it up a bit so one will feel like you are in an oceanfront property.

Overall, it is a great value for the price. Foods were good to great as well - a very positive experience.

It is right next door to potato head for variety & walkability. The staff was so sweet and gave excellent service . Initially as the hotel were busy we were out in a room in an over capacity block, that simply wasn’t very nice. It smelled, was very noisy as near the staff entrance, and was a long way from the main part of the hotel.

We asked to be moved and were offered a sea view room at a low upgrade costs. This room was really amazing! Fantastic view, beautiful facilities and quiet.

The hotel itself was very nice. The most amazing breakfast offering, great selection of pools, good food, great staff and good location.

Would highly recommend, just make sure you get a sea view room!

Truely one of the best

From the drive in to the drive out we encounted nothing but polite friendly people. The rooms are clean, great water pressure (not drinkable of cause but plenty of free bottled water on hand) 3 pools (one being adults only) they have a daily shuttle to take you onto town if you dont feel like walking. Will definitely return

Hotel was beautiful but because a lot of the area was open planned there were no air conditioning around the hotel. My room was 5 minutes away from the lobby and we had to walk outside to get to the lobby. All corridors were open so there were no air conditioning and the heat hits you as soon as you leave your room. They do provide a buggy for you to get to the lobby. I could not fault the staff. They were always so warm and welcoming. They always greeted you with a friendly smile and always happy to help. All in all the hotel was beautiful. The pools were clean and the water clear. It was convenient to get to the shops and restaurants but wished they could have offered the buggy to the restaurants and shops. As a 5 minutes walk to anywhere in the heat is a feat.

Beach view rooms are perfect with bi-fold doors that open your room right up. Choice of 3 pools (2 of which are no kids, so for quiet dip or stay these are perfect) . Cute flying squirrels in the palm trees, nice cocktail list and 24 hour room service.

Beautiful property in a great location. Checkin was slow and I had asked for it to be setup for our 15th Anniversary, which was forgotten. The staff are all very friendly and attentive and provide great service.
The pools are devine and all look aver the beach. However, they close them very early and there is no swimming at all after 7pm. This is very odd for a luxury hotel in a hot climate. Most other hotels we have stayed at have the pools open til 9pm, especially around the bar area.
It is secluded and private, but that means its a fair walk to shops and dining. But, we wanted a luxury stay away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly, however make sure you do not get stuck at the 3rd building closest to the street like we did. We could not sleep due to the amount of street noise, especially the homes next to us that had roosters, chickens, birds etc that would make noises at all times. There is a “bridge” you have to take to get to the main hotel where the restaurant and pools are which was very inconvenient. Overall I liked the staff, as they were nothing but friendly but the 3rd building location is terrible. Especially to spend your honeymoon in.

It was our first time staying at Alila Seminyak. The lobby was very impressive and it has a lovely view of the pool and the beach.
The room was very spacious and clean. We love the spacious double sink in the bathroom. And the bed was super big, can even sleep 3 persons. The location is good. We could walk to a few restaurants for our dinner.

The staff was incredible, many hellos and happy to help. 3 or 4 pools, free yoga in the morning, beach in view from almost all “public” areas at the hotel. Wonderful lobby and grounds. Seasalt and Beach Bar were surprisingly affordable for how prestigious the location is and the breakfast buffet was unstoppable. Many other restaurants walkable and I felt safe the entire time. Honestly, my second stay here and just as wonderful as the first. Very much worth the cost! I’ll miss it again when I leave…

This did not feel like a 5 star hotel it felt like a 3 star at most with 5 star prices. The hotel is in such a terrible condition who many patch ups, water leeking from walls and ceilings, flooding all-through the foyers, water coming into the rooms, very bad mould problems. Workmen were there every day of our 10 day stay gynrock all over the walkways all the time. I would not recommend this hotel.

For the distance we have to travel from USA to Bali, I think the Hotel should inform customers during booking the current weather forecast. We encountered gusty wind and rain everyday. Also let us know the beach conditions i.e., Sand is not white and water too rough for swimming.

At the Hotel, inform customer risks of eating outside the hotel. All of us got food poisoning eating outside.

The front desk did a great job finding us urgent care at 2am.

When I saw the price I wanted to find a bad review of Alila as a way to justify NOT booking this expensive hotel, however I was not able to find a bad review! Everywhere I read said it was worth the extra money and now having stayed for 8 nights - I can absolutely agree that Alila is one of the most spectacular hotels we have EVER stayed at globally and we have travelled a lot. The view and breakfasts; with that view where incredible, staff were amazing! Had a medical issue and they helped so much but damn it was expensive, having stayed in Bali it used to be \"cheap\" to holiday in Asia, that's the benefit right? Less developed nation = a cheaper holiday? But that is not the case anymore, prices were equal to Australia if not MORE than staying in Oz which means for future travel I would spend an extra couple of hundred bucks on the plane ticket and fly to Europe to spend the same money on the Alila hotel in Paris or Venice because the price would be no different and you get to skip the Bali Belly that floored us for 3 days out of 8.

The location was excellent - walking distance to shops and dining areas. The property was on the beach so it was great to take walks or breathe in the sea air. But as VIP members, we were possibly given the worst room in the hotel: one that stank of mould (we requested a change in the night), and the room was next to Missy Sippy so lots of thumping music. It was not what we had wanted, which was rest and relaxation. Perhaps it was just the wrong selection of hotel for us. It was just not for us.
