Great location. No 24hrs food, definitely not a resort, me thinks a bit naughty saying that, edging on 4 star hotel Singapore standard. Pools get ridiculously hot with minimal shade. So probably avoid on the pool front. Bali staff 5 stars that is the norm at any hotel these days in Bali. Believe chain based hotel, so probably too many layers in the organisation to actually make it more guest friendly. Would I stay again ? Probably not so many other options. Let’s see in six months what they do …….

Our favourite hotel in Seminyak which we go back to time and time again for very good reasons. Montigo is a well designed property, well cared for, very comfortable and with a relaxing holiday vibe. The Balinese staff are the making of this hotel -always smiling, helpful and engaging. Highlights are Montigo Wellness Spa - fabulous treatments, especially massage at sensible prices. The onsite Japanese restaurant food is so delicious that many nights we simply stayed in the hotel. Breakfast is brilliant and served poolside, and lastly, my husband loved the personal training sessions either in the gym or the boxing pavilion. Terrific place for couples and families. Great location.

Everything about this resort is excellent.
I cannot fault anything. The food was delicious, the room was spotless clean. The location, the pools, the restaurants, the spa treatments were fantastic but most of all the Staff at Montigo are the best staff we have ever met.
They go above and beyond to help you and make your stay there so relaxed. They are all so kind, humble and respectful. I will recommend montigo resort to anyone i know that wants to ho to Bali and we will definitely be back there to stay again.

The room was leaking water from upstairs at around 1am, and leaking again at around 4am, no follow up. Buy drinks at the pool, but said put under my room number, but can't, need to pay right away. The shower inside the washroom was not good, designed bad, flood on the shower area.

Breakfast was the BEST yet (& we have had a lot of continental breakfasts) this did NOT disappoint. Cute room - great layout, comfortable bed, laundry service was awesome. Staff were great and very helpful, rooms need an upgrade, Bathroom tap, shower are all dirty so they either need a deep clean or replacement. AC seemed to be mysterious, it would only run the compressor for few hours and then turn off so no cold air would blow out from the AC even if we lower the set temperature. The solution to that was to power off the AC for some time and then turn it back on, this is inconvenient to at night time. Pool and spa facilities are great!

The hotel facilities were excellent, the breakfast options were great and the staff were very helpful and attended to our every request. The beach, shops and restaurants are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a secluded place to stay with the convenience of being minutes away from everything - we will definitely stay here on our next visit to Bali.

Value for money here was incredible! Kids club AMAZING - The food was so yum from the pool bar to the kitchen to the Japanese restaurant it was all great quality!! Location can't be beaten and the room we had was so nice - large with a lovely day bed in the balcony it was just lush! The cleaners did a beautiful job with the room also - always fresh and clean! The staff are wonderful!!!! The PTs are great too- Deva and Natasha definitely put us through our paces with boxing - they are wonderful coaches! We are definitely coming back!!!

The spa is the highlight—Eka is incredible. She worked on my back, and I left feeling 80% better compared to the 20% I walked in with. Easily a 5-star experience

Food & Breakfast
Breakfast was a disappointment. Unless you show up right at 6:30, the food is cold—no heating dishes meaning pancakes, waffles, and potatoes turn hard quickly. By 9am, many options are gone. Instead of feeling relaxed, it feels like a race just to eat.

Dining Service
Service is inconsistent—sometimes attentive at lunch, other times indifferent at dinner. Food quality outside of Indonesian dishes is poor; even simple items like pizza fall short.

Pool & Facilities
The pool is extremely small. If you leave briefly, your towels are removed and your spot reassigned. The cabana setup feels more like a beach club upsell than a resort perk. Rooms are also not soundproof—you can hear footsteps and conversations from next door.

Amenities:
No small towels, you have to call for it. Robes are dingy, towels are scratchy, and the “king bed” is just two twins pushed together, leaving a hard ridge in the middle.

Guest Treatment
The most concerning issue is how guests are treated. I witnessed different treatment based on skin color, and staff openly chiding children in front of parents, telling them to stay quiet—on a vacation. Very disappointing.

Highlights
Eka at the spa deserves full recognition, and one pool attendant was very kind, though I didn’t catch his name. Room is spacious and clean.

We had pool access where we could just walk out our balcony and jump into the pool! The hotel is surrounded by lush tropical gardens it really feels like a private retreat! We loved our stay here!

The staff were so lovely, they knew our names by the second morning, they celebrated my son’s birthday and could not be more helpful. The front pool had a great vibe and we ate the breakfast, lunch at the restaurant and dinner at the on-site Japanese restaurant and the food was exceptional. The location was great for shopping and restaurants, a few dollars on a Grab got you to the beach or you can catch the hotel shuttle!

Our second stay here and we had a balcony suite. If you have worn out knees I do not recommend a balcony suite because the stairs are steep & unfortunately there is no lift where we were.
We were disappointed by the removal of a lot of sun beds and ALL umbrellas around the middle pool. The sun beds have been replaced by Cabanas that you have to spend a minimum of $300,000rp ($30AUD) to use and this prevented us from using the pool because the remaining sun beds were all taken and there was no shade.
The rooms are clean and need refreshing - our A/C was noisy with a rattling fan that was rectified after reporting to maintenance, the fridge was very noisy & we had to turn it off each night to sleep and the tap ware in the wet areas were all corroded along with poor water pressure.
This Suite did not match the our previous experience in the ground floor Suite that we stayed in back in March.

We will not be returning to Montigo in a hurry because we cannot enjoy the pool with the lack of shade and sun beds or chairs.

There was a lack of pool towels at times and the room towels were quite dated. No face wipes/flannels in the rooms. Milk for tea would have been nice too.

This is our second time at the hotel. The staff are brilliant and the breakfast is nice. They even cater for my gluten intolerance which was lovely. They also had staff say hi to us that remembered us from the last visit although the pic taken at time of check in may also have helped but was a nice touch. They put an anniversary message in our room and some cake which I couldn’t have due to previously mentioned intolerances, still nice though. The only negatives are that the hotel is starting to look like it needs some updates and that the drinks are quite expensive for bali. Seminyak isn’t my favourite place to visit due to all the ‘bike bike’ requests as you walk along but this is a nice hotel amongst it all.

Very spacious & a big balcony area to relax.
The staff are all so friendly and the breakfast had fantastic options to choose from, and all so fresh.
We were only there for 5 days, so sadly we did not get to try the in-house dining options, but I am sure we will come back to Bali again.

The Montigo Resort is a fabulous hotel suited to anyone who enjoys a smaller hotel where everyone knows your name. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you are having a good time. Our room was delightful - overlooking the pool, lovely balcony with extra large daybed that you can easily lose a few hours snoozing on! The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The Wellness Spa whether for a massage or mani/pedi was fabulous. Three swimming pools, yoga or boxing, room service or dinner at their Japanese restaurant, the urge to head to Seminyak’s main shopping area or next door to Potato Head easily disappears for staying in! We saw lots of families with young children, couples of all ages and groups of friends here on holidays. Our second visit was even better than our first. Everything is here for a good holiday but it is the Balinese staff that look after you with a genuine heart, natural eagerness to please and a gentleness that is both inviting and calming… love Bali… Recommend Montigo Resort Seminyak.

We were stuck in the smelly room for 3 days with drain and sewer issues and were not allocated a different room even after multiple requests.

Bali was closed due to NYEPI and we were locked in our rooms for more that 2 days, hence couldn't change the resort. Also the staff's behaviour is discriminatory with non-whites.

Please visit if you want to experience the above.

Perfect hotel in Seminyak when looking for an affordable yet beautiful stay. The staff were super accomodating and friendly, the food was great including the breakfast and the location was very central to wherever you want to go. There’s also a free shuttle to Seminyak Square and the beach I believe. The rooms are very clean with plenty of complimentary water, coffee etc
The spa was gorgeous and so relaxing! Overall, would definitely recommend!

Our stay at Montigo Resorts Seminyak was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, showing genuine care for their guests. They consistently checked in to ensure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make us feel valued. Knowing each guest’s name added a truly personal and special touch.

The check-in and check-out process was seamless and efficient. A special mention to Tiwi, Flo, and Laura, who are incredible assets to the resort. Their outstanding service, especially when we were dealing with Bali belly, was beyond impressive. They took care of us with such kindness and professionalism, making us feel truly cared for.

The service quality is far beyond five stars, and we cannot recommend Montigo Resorts Seminyak highly enough. Thank you for making our stay such a memorable experience!

This property is in a heart of Seminyak right opposite to Potato Head, and so many other dinning options. For families with young kids perfect spot, they have the biggest kids club in Seminiyak and my son just loved ittt…. He had so many activities and was very well looked after by Luis lovely teachers special thanks to Ms Dayu, Ade, Waite, and sorry if I forgot any other names . All the teachers looked after him like a parent kept him engaged and safe and fed him.

Deva and his team is amazing if you are looking for Pilates, boxing and any workout activities.

Ms Lora special thanks to you from the very beginning to the end she made sure we had a pleasant stay, and even if we need anything she was there.

I will certainly come back to this property. Overall excellent stay thank you .

We have stayed at Montigo several times and it is always a nice place to stay. The breakfast is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool areas are nice, particularly the adult only pool. Great location and a short walk to shops, beach, restaurants. We will be back!!

The service and staff were incredibly friendly, and they had quite a spread for their breakfast. They were very nice to prepare a birthday message and cake for me in the room when I arrived, and even on my actual day, their staff sang during breakfast!

The pools were cute, and the lobby/cafe area was very chic. One thing I found a bit off was that there wasn't much amenities in the room itself compared to other hotels - I'm not quite sure how to put it but the room looked a bit bare.

Other than that, it is located really conveniently, with shuttle to Seminyak Village and Square. It was also a short walk away from the beach, and the entrance to Potato Head beach club was just right next to their entrance. Overall, a very good stay!
