Very helpful staff during our stay. Rooms were clean and clean bottled water provided every day. Pool was clean and most of the time towels were provided.

Bedding was dated, sometimes had small tears in the sheet. My room had an outdoor bathroom where the shower had no roof and was always cold. It made it difficult to shower when there was storms. There was a bath with an attached hose to get warm/cold but not easily accessible. Property is across the road from a restaurant that plays loud Western music until midnight, also my window was right next to the nightclub car park where patrons played music well past 2am over the weekend.

Unfortunately it was noisy with building work next door and traffic noise/music until at least 2-00 am. The pool loungers could do with a clean and the balcony around the pool needs some upkeep. The pool was excellent but not always a pool towel, needing one to ask at reception.

Great stay at Ayu, ticked all the boxes for our trip this time. Great place to have your meals is right at the entrance - Wacko. Swimming pool and porch area is perfect to chill.
It’s super central in Seminyak yet quiet.
Bit of hiccup with our laundry, as a bikini bottom got lost but otherwise nice and attentive staff.

I stayed in the apartment, one of two at the front of the building right next to a busy road. It was noisy most of the time and the bar across the road played load music, sometimes until early morning.
The pool and breakfast were good although portions were small.
The villas down the back look really nice and quiet worth the extra price.

I booked a two bedroom villa for 7 nights, and was upgraded to the premier three bedroom villa.
The property is a traditional Balinese hotel with villas. It is well maintained and clean. The staff were absolutely wonderful, as too was the location. Would definitely stay again.

Generally the room is ok. However service is lacking. when the drinking water in room ran out, we requested few times for more than a day and it wasn’t replenished at all. When we asked for help to get cab to airport, service was lacking so we ended up have to arrange on our own. Hope they can improve else we probably won’t be back here

Super private villas in the heart of Seminyak

WE stayed for ten nights in the villas over Christmas and new year. The villa was well laid out over two floor with a bedroom/bathroom upstairs and a bedroom/bathroom downstairs and an open sided lounge area with access into a private pool. A small kitchenette with microwave and hob and fresh drinking water complimentary. On site is a spa with treatments from foot massages to full body scrub. On the front of the hotel is a restaurant which does breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff at Bali Ayu Villas are brilliant, nothing was too much. Special shout out to comma, yeoman, (pool) made and (spa) made. The front of house check in was speedy and safe. We would stay here again at the drop of a hat.

This was my second time staying here and it was once again a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got the garden villa which was spacious and lovely especially the huge bathroom. Great place to stay, well placed, friendly staff, lovely pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable with efficient AC. Would be even better if no plastic was used, 2 small bottles of water every day is not really appropriate anymore. Obviously you don't need to use them, but people will as there is no other alternative. Glass? Wifi not great but didn't use it much!

Stayed in one of the appartment just above the reception, the room including the bathroom was big and spacious but very hot due to high ceilings even though it had the aircon. Had to ask for a fan which they provided, the outside patio was hot too they should put a ceiling fan there too so you could sit out have your drinks. Also they need to do something about the shower floor which is surrounded by large pebbles when having shower the water does not drains quick enough looks dirty. Now on the positive side the room was serviced everyday including clean towels. On our first day we were cheated by one of the roadside currency place but the receptionist was kind enough to send the security guard to get our money back. overall a very clean hotel with helpful staff good value for your money.

Good location, close to everything in Seminyak & easy access to Canggu. Most staff very helpful & attentive. Room service available from cafe at front, really nice food & cocktails. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels, linen if requested. Pool area was nice, towels available but often had to request them to be supplied. Pool bar very basic but fine for a poolside beer or basic drink from the somewhat hesitant barman. Spa facilities available, super cheap but again super basic. Some aspects of hotel dated & a bit weary (mainly outside) but rooms clean & well maintained. No pushbikes available, but scooters & taxis easy to get, staff very helpful with arranging transport of required. A good base if you want a comfortable place to sleep to allow you to get out & explore Bali. Overall , nothing luxurious but great value for money, would stay again.

We booked standard room and it was far from what we expected from the picture shown. Room is too dark and bed was too hard. Not exactly like in the picture. Not sure if there weren't many guests in the hotel during our stay but it gave us the eerie feel at night & even the next morning as there weren't guests were seen around the area when my hubby & i decided to take a stroll ard hotel to check out the facilities. it was a little too old, needs a little new facelifts.

Upon check-in, there were 2 bell boy anticipated to help us with our luggages and were quick. Once they brought to our room, they insisted to stay in the room by showing us the bars, toilets cupboards and almost everyth in the room. They didn't wna leave the room and expected tips. We gave tips but they were still unwilling to leave. We didn't feel great at all.

There's a huge swimming pool but the bar next to the pool as rundown and seemed like it has not been operating for years. there's dust and ruined. we took morning swim the next day and i almost got drowned due to the sudden depth of 2metres in the pool. i'm a 5ft2\", i knew i shd have noticed the notice board on the depth of the pool before i went into the pool.

Breakfast menu is limited but is yummy. Portion was abit too little though.

5mins walking dist to potato head beach, gardin bistro is directly opposite. Biku, sarong and many great restaurants are all within walking distance.

A touch of old Bali

Older style Bali hotel,not sprawling.Upgraded on arrival,took the upstairs room..high ceiling made cooling difficult, and noise travelled..vacant block used as bike parking next door..very noisey,also open bathroom.Moved to unit underneath next day...much better. Lovely sitting area at front, and a green view looking into outdoor bathroom inside.Pool was deep and cool, but no atmosphere,but great for cool down. Staff,as always, accomodating and friendly. Surrounded by amazing restaraunts(Sarong next door) & Revolver coffee shop, laundry up the road, local warungs...this is a great find in Seminyak.
I would suggest this is not suitable for family's with kiddies..

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with private pool. Location was excellent & was close to (short walking distance) some of our favourite restaurants - Sarong, Biku, Bambu, Potato Head & more. Great coffee shop called Revolver located a minute's walk away - best coffee in Bali! Had breakfast delivered each morning - menu limited but tasty. Villa cleaned daily. Staff were friendly & accommodating. Villa was more than we expected & very spacious. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to family & friends

We have been staying at Bali Ayu for 11 years & seen many changes. Most of them good. The lack of opportunity for guests to mingle & socialise means this will be our last stay. No bar or restaurant at the front. Pool bar closing at 5pm. Pool area closed at 6 pm. Having to go out each night to get a meal means our stay was not as we would have liked. It has been great in the past to be able to relax by the pool & get a meal & socialise with other guests. The menu now is very limited and very ordinary.

We really enjoyed the Bali Ayu from the great staff to the great breakfast. We stayed first for 5 nights them returned about a week later for another 2. We loved the location, there was so much to do and in walking distance. The added shower gel and toiletries were nice. Wish they would have changed the bedding a bit more. No bed bugs!

Pictures unfortunately don't show exactly what the place looks like. Room was comfortable and clean, towels were very stained. Restaurant outside facing the street, a lot of noise and dust coming from the construction site across the street. Breakfast menu a bit poor. The outside bathroom was beautiful, shame was the bad sewerage smell coming from the drains. It's an ok hotel for the price you pay. Location is good, close to Potato Head.

We liked staying here because it was close to the beach and lovely restaurants. The front desk girl was hard to understand and she a bit snobby, either than that the men were nice and helpful... Room floor was clean...bathroom was clean accept the sink...it needed to be cleaned.. the room size was average. The wifi wasn't strong much. e. Attached are photos...there was a footprint on the wall and for the third bed...don't know why my bedsheet had a writing that said \"BAD\" on it...? Was this a bad sheet they had given me?! I understand if the staff didn't mean or see the word on it...but it was not cool. I would still recommend my friends and family to stay here, however I would like to see this hotel fix these minor issues and go an extra mile to take into consideration of minor issues...to make it a 5 star rating for me.

Great location only a short walk to Seminyak square. Lots of great cafes and restaurants close by including Revolver café which has great coffee! Staff at Bali Ayu are really lovely, couldn't do enough to help they are very obliging. Consistently good breakfast.
A clean and safe environment and this was our third stay there.

Facilities are certainly showing their age so if you are expecting modern you will be disappointed. Having said that we were very impressed with the cleanliness of our rooms and the efforts made to the upkeep of the pools and grounds. The staff are the standout here we had a problem with our villa being double booked and the problem was solved quickly and satisfyingly. Minutes walk to W and Potato Head and a 10 minute walk to Seminyak Square and eat street (or very cheap taxi ride). We were paying approx 70,000 for a taxi to Kuta. A lot of development going on and this area will quickly become very exclusive. All in all very good value for the price.
