Pros: The view was amazing, heaters worked well (though missing in one room), the shower had good water pressure and a lovely massage showerhead, there was free filtered water & lots of ice in the lobby, free wifi was easy to access and worked well, front desk staff was friendly and had an excellent recommendation for pizza in town (though it didn't offer delivery).

Cons: Front desk staff are not physically available immediately (you must call, even during \"staffed\" hours), no facial tissues were present in room, bath/hand towels were thin and not great quality, the hair dryer was not actually in the bathroom nor is there a power outlet in bathroom, the walls were very thin and a large family staying in the suite above us was extremely loud at all hours of the night, the floors were filthy dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned, other items in the room weren't super clean either, most of the fixtures in the room were either missing or broken such as the door handle to the balcony, the balcony furniture, the covers to all the lights, drain plugs, etc. There were multiple large black flies in the room - in the middle of winter. There was no food on site other than a bar/restaurant open 5-9pm daily.

Overall I would not stay here again. I was pretty disappointed in the experience overall considering we paid a bit more to stay at a \"nicer\" place than others available. It was not a great experience and other than the view, this place has basically nothing going for it.

The room was absolutely filthy.Had 2 beds.Both beds had dirty sheets on them.1 of them actually had crusty discharge at the top of the sheet.Complained and had room switched.This room was just as filthy.Sheets were thin and stained.Bathroom had orange mold on shower curtain and around the tub.Tub had dark ring around it.The furniture in the room was broken or missing parts.The staff were not around and when asked for clean towels,they were putout.The towels were see through and yellow.The bathroom had 1 partially used roll of toilet paper and again had problems with staff to get another roll.The room had extension cords plugged into every outlet.The bedside lamp and clock were in one extension cord that was plugged in the wall by another extension cord with a lamp and the airconditioner.Could not go out on balcony as it leaned downwards.The room was on the 2nd floor accessable by the outside.The structure of the walkway also leaned downwards.The images on the website are deceiving and incorrect.The image of it looking like a Swiss Chalet is the other hotel.The stay in this hotel was an absolute disaster and the price was a ripoff.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.It is absolutely disgusting.The BC Health and Safety should be doing a thorough investigation into the hygiene and safety of this hotel from hell.

If you’re looking for an authentic wilderness survival experience without leaving the comfort of a motel bed, this is the place for you.

Both beds came pre-seasoned with mystery hairs and questionable stains. The pillows were a lovely shade of “used mascara and questionable yellow splotches” and my request for extras was completely ignored.. which in hindsight was probably a blessing. Bugs were included free of charge, and not the small, ignorable kind either.

The bathroom? The door didn’t close, the tub had more mold than grout, and we were greeted by someone else’s half-used toiletries in the drawers (thanks, previous guest, for your generous donation). The freezer was frozen on the outside, and the bathroom ceiling joined the tub in a moldy duet.

The balcony offered a gorgeous mountain view… until the MASSIVE spiders made it clear they had the best claim to it.

This place could honestly be something special. the location is beautiful. But until Rocky Mountain Spring Lodge invests in bleach, bug control, and maybe a bonfire for their current bedding, I’d recommend admiring the scenery from literally anywhere else.

Not As Advertised – A Disappointing Stay

Our experience at the Rocky Mountain Spring Lodge did not align with the ratings or descriptions we found online. The property is significantly older and more run-down than photos or reviews on sites like Expedia had led us to believe.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room left a lot to be desired. We found bugs on one of the beds and in the bathroom, a towel had visible makeup stains, and there was leftover food in the freeze, raising serious concerns about the overall hygiene of the space. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were poor quality. Basic amenities were lacking as well; there were no proper cups for coffee or other beverage; only small paper water cups. There were not standard toiletries either.

Outside the room, the property also seemed neglected. A recycling bin near the entrance appeared to double as a general dumping area, and at one point it was either tipped over or rummaged through, leaving trash scattered all over the walkway.

The advertised on-site dining. The website and third-party listings mentioned a lounge and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In reality, the only option available was a Hot Pot restaurant open from 5–9 PM. This should be clearly stated on all booking platforms, as we were expecting a standard restaurant with more familiar offerings.

Overall, we felt misled by the online representation of the property. For the price we paid, the experience was disappointing.

To start… paid extra for the “mountain view room”
When checking in was informed by front attendant that every room has a mountain view, complete scam. Secondly, get to room, door barely shuts, door to balcony doesn’t lock, window do not lock, screen door to balcony fell out just attempting to open it. Blankets provided date back to the opening of the lodge in the 60’s/70’s (not an exaggeration) to top all that previous guests garbage still left on floor. We questioned if it had been cleaned at all… Main lodge where you check in smells strongly of mold. Extremely over priced at $186 for the night. Went to go have continental breakfast that was supposed included, there is no breakfast. BOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Staff were great and the restaurant has some meals and Bubble Tea. The views from the room had an amazing view, Something that you don’t get to see everyday that you wake up.

At first glance of the building, it looked like a very old motel.. so i was not sure if the rooms was renovated or not. When i entered the room, the smell was like an old wood and the floor was uneven. It was renovated recently though. But you can really tell that it was an old lodge. The bathroom is not clean. The toilet seemed like clogged when you flush it. You need to flush it 2x. It was not worth paying $200+ for this hotel. They did not even serve breakfast. They have a drop box for the key when you check out early.

The great thing about this hotel is the perfect view when you look out the balcony. Its breathtaking. The staff are really nice too. Although it seemed like a one man show.

They also have a good restaurant that serves all you can eat hotpot. They also have a bubble tea which was so yummy.

I would come back for the restaurant but not to stay the night.

The exterior building, the Chalet, is falling apart, need badly a renovation. Interior rooms have a laminated floor and walls are painted however dirty areas and bad smells shows a poorly cleaning job. Bathtub sink clogged. Door locks are cheap, not very safe and not properly adjusted. People talking can be heard from next rooms, so no sound barrier for sure. $300/night, I wont come back.

If I could give this negative stars I would.

The hotel was nice enough, great view. Wasn’t the cleanest as there was months of built up dust behind the toilet. View was spectacular.
What ruined it for me was the hotel changed computer services, and I ended up being double charged for my bookings.
The hotel staff weren’t helpful, and simply said it was the computer’s fault, and told me to call the rcmp and lock my credit card. Which wasn’t helpful when I had already paid for my stays before staying, and was charged when I checked in.
It seemed really sketchy, and I feel thankful I kept my receipts so I can go resolve this issue with my bank.
If you book with this place, check your statements, do not pre pay for your stay, or honestly save yourself the headache and don’t stay here at all.

The room had a great view as advertised. Large room, had a separate living area to bedroom. Definitely not sound proof rooms or updated. Everything electrical was run off extension cords, could only have one appliance plugged in at a time (fridge, microwave or coffee pot).
I would question the road to the hotel in the winter, basically one way traffic, but very quiet and secluded. Felt very safe, even though windows didn’t lock.
No one cleaned during our stay which I was okay with but had to go request extra condiments for our coffee and toilet paper for our room.

This is an older property which could use some modern renovations. Having said that, it is everything you need with a decent bed, shower and tub. I appreciate having a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. A huge plus is the balcony with an exceptional view of the valley and distant mountains, and being 5 minutes away from the hot springs, I highly recommend starting your day with a plunge when it’s uncrowded.

Unfortunately, a beautiful hotel turned out to be a horrible stay.
I was charged for this stay before arriving to the hotel, and then charged again once I checked in because their “computer system changed”
I did not receive a refund for my original booking although having proof. I was told I would automatically receive a refund, which I did not.
The management was also extremely unhelpful… saying to lock my credit card or call the RCMP. This is unbelievable and I’m now attempting to deal with this through hotels.com as well as my bank because they chose to double charge me almost $1000.

I’ve stayed in many places over the years, but this one stands out as one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. It was dirty, old, comfortable, noisy, and seemed to have no service.

We paid through Hotels.com, only to be informed that there was a $20 pet fee, which was not mentioned on the website. There was no screen on the balcony door, so we had to use the old, noisy air conditioner. The microwave, bathroom, and air conditioner were all dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. There was no screen on the balcony, so instead of leaving our balcony door open with screen to get cool fresh mountain air. We had to use the old noise air conditioner.

When we dropped off our key, there was no one at the desk, so we couldn’t talk to anyone. The battery on the remote was almost dead.

We got two towels and face clothes that seemed to be something you find at a garage sale. No tissues in the tissue box.

I’ve never written a review before, but I feel like I have to because of the price of this place. The standards should be significantly higher.

Bring something to secure the doors.

There's no deadbolt on the room door and the balcony door and screen were damaged making it impossible to lock the sliding door to the balcony. Those are my major objections to the ppace. Overall, a decent, night's stay. The room was huge but the way it was layed out was backwards in my mind. The living area was at the far side so if you have guests they need to pass through the sleeping area.
The balcony had a great view. The two chairs were comfortable enough.
The AC is a standard window unit.
There's nothing within walking distance except the hot pot restaurant on site.

Upon my late arrival, I encountered some difficulties with my network connection. However, the staff kindly waited for me until after midnight. The lady who assisted me with check-in was exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. I experienced a moment of confusion regarding the two adjacent buildings, as I was unsure which one housed my reservation. Nevertheless, the room was delightful, boasting cleanliness, ample space, and a scenic mountain view. The view was the only good thing about this property. The building appears to be leaning down the hill as this is evident by just looking at the front entrance. We were booked to stay in the Motel Bo building and after walking through our room and looking at the building we decided to talk to the young man at the desk which was in the Chalet property next door. He told me we could not be refunded our money, but he did make an effort to put us in a room at the Radium Chalet which is next door to the Motel Bo. For that effort I gave the staff a good review. Turns out the Radium Chalet was in worse condition though. Very dirty and run down. This property needs some serious repair, and I hope the young man at the desk gets help as he will soon be overwhelmed with work.

The stay was great, expect for one thing! We were able to check in early which we really appreciated, the staff was nice and accommodating, the view from the room was absolutely amazing. The room itself is a bit older, but that's been the same as all the motels I've stayed at in radium so far. The only issue would be the bed isn't very comfortable. I hope they get new ones. Also I thought breakfast was included, but it was not.

Amazing view

Amazing view, love the belcony. We got in late the front desk was able to help us check in even after the lobby closed thank you so much. Cute retro themed rooms the classic wood panneling in the room made it feel like i was kid again going to my familys cabin. Great expirence will definitely stay here again.
