Gables is a good option for a short stay. The rooms are clean though a little compact in size. There is open space outside the rooms to eat/drink or simply chill. I rented room 3 but I got room 1 and since that was the smoking area I couldn't even open my window to let some air in. The door was flimsy and lacked a deadbolt, and both the property and the rooms were quite dated, showing clear signs of wear and a need for repairs and renovations. For the price being charged, I expected significantly better quality. I also expect more from Expedia in terms of ensuring property photos are a true representation and providing transparency around the sources of reviews.

This was our second stay here, and it’s officially our go-to place from now on. The property is spotless, peaceful, and everyone we’ve met has been so welcoming. The views are stunning, and on both visits we’ve been lucky enough to spot wildlife up close. I especially love the outdoor setup—chairs and tables right outside each room where you can relax and soak in the scenery. The beds and bedding are incredibly comfortable, and the charging station in the room is such a thoughtful touch—I haven’t seen one like it anywhere else I’ve stayed.

They advertised AC in every room but all we had was a fan. The room had a horrible musty smell. No deadbolts on doors. The carpet was very stained. The walls were paper thin, my neighbors above me kept me up. I was shocked after all of the excellent reviews they have. The one positive comment I will give them is the bed was very comfortable. Not worth $190 a night.

This town full of tiny, somewhat older motels. That is a part of the charm, particularly when you stay somewhere like this. The owners and staff are very friendly, very helpful. The property is older but well taken care of, and you can see that efforts are made to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Stayed with my wife and 8 year old, went to the hot springs with discounted tickets and free towels from the hotel. Hard to go wrong in this quaint, little motel nestled in a beautiful mountain town.

A sign of love and FREEDOM! The Christmas lights at night felt like I was both in winter even though it was summer. Very classic style too it was like being in the past. It’s a cute motel that is close to the hot pools. There are a lot of dining options in the area. It’s easy to locate because it’s just by the highway. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will come back to this property again.

Also, it was advertised that we would have air conditioning but we just had an oscillating fan.
