The motel room was very clean, quiet, had a comfortable bed, and the shower was good.

That’s all I ask for in a budget motel where I’m only staying for one or two nights while working. The owner met me quickly as I was outside their check-in time and was very cheery and helpful.

We had booked 3 rooms with 2 queen beds and when we got there we had to take 2 rooms with 3 queen beds. Not enough towels in the room and with rhe office closed in rhe evening we didn't have enough until morning. Over all not a good place to stay

The place was not maintained at all. Very dirty on the premises. The beds were literally cots with extremely old thin mattresses (if you could call them that). Rooms and premises were extremely run down and definitely not unkept. The parking was good. The air conditioner worked. The hotel itself was very rundown. Just looked like a very old rundown shack. Would definitely NEVER RETURN or recommend it.

The rooms are clean, the staff are very friendly.
The motel is very old and needs renovated. There were no drawers to put things. Not enough plug-ins for the appliances. Very poor water pressure. The host did say that they are planning to renovations. I hope so as it has been a place I like to stay as it is central to everything.

It said non-smoking room but it smelled like people have been smoking on there for a long time, it was awful and stuck to my clothes. Some stains on bedding, one of the pillows was missing a pillow case, and overall not super clean. I would have been better off sleeping in my car.

Pros: Clean rooms, friendly front desk staff, firm futon-like mattress, good location and budget price.
Cons: Could hear next door occupants speaking although muffled, paint peeling in bathroom below windows, and a musty smell in room.

This is a good budget motel. Nothing fancy. Room was fine, sparse but it did the job for a ski weekend. Bed was very firm. I like that, but note that if you want a soft mattress. Price is right. TV is confusing to operate, but it at least had CBC Gem for the Olympics. Stayed here Family Day weekend 2026. Staff was friendly and easy check-in and out.

The two light switches for the lights on the wall was on the same circuit for the tv, cable box and the tv. So it made kinda wired to work around that because it turn off these thing's of operation at the same time. Be sides that it was oky place to lay your head at. So over all it was oky and ill stay angian.

The Canterbury Inn is a good low priced accommodation. It appears that they are trying to refurbish it and modernize it. I have a poor back, so I found the bed a bit uncomfortable but adequate. I also have a vision impairment so I would recommend they improve the lighting! Staff was friendly though perhaps a bit difficult to understand at times. The town itself is quite quaint with many unique shops. Every visitor needs to acquaint themselves with the Invermere Bakery. Yummy and such friendly people!

The location was excellent, we could walk all around the town. We also enjoyed havong our take-out lunch in the little gazebo on the corner of the parking lot. Staff was very helpful and politely answered my stupid questions. The room was very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel and was glad to see a number of guests.

The window in my bathroom was not attached to the wall. When attempting to pull the window frame, a huge spider crawled out. That was one of MANY spiders that showed themselves during the stay. There was an undetermined buzzing sound coming from somewhere. The coffee machine was dirty, as was the shower and bedroom. The staff was lovely and so kind, but unfortunately my stay was incredibly uncomfortable. For the price that I paid, I was appalled at the state of the room and the lack of safety that I felt.

The property is old, wich is okay, but the room was disgusting. The windows are all filled with moisture, so no view outside. The mirror had several layers of dirt as well as the walls and floor. No rooms at other properties available so we had to make it work.

This hotel is worth $50 a night. Very run down. The fridge wasn't plugged in, the bed feels like an air mattress, the shower was dirty and repairs were done with tape in several places around the room. Wouldn't stay here again if you paid me. They need to invest in the property. Terrible. Room smelled lile smoke too, and in the reviews they say its the air freshener, it is not the air freshener, as ours was all dried up anyway.

If all you need is a bed and a shower for the night, it'll do. I got the "cheapest" room and boy was it spartan. I've been in cruise ships with bigger rooms. The bed was broken down where one would naturally sit to get in and out of it. But the center was comfortable enough.
The room was not dirty, just warm, scratched and scuffed. The porcelain coating in the toilet bowl was cracked so it looked dirty, but it wasn't. The AC was missing the temperature adjustment knob, but you could still adjust the temp if you can grip the little spindle. The hot and cold water knob in the sink were mismatched. But everything in the bath worked. I was put off by the brown towels rather than white. They looked clean, but the brown color can hide a lot.
The staff was super friendly. It seems the owner/operators live on site.

The cheapest place I could find in Invermere - only to find the location was fantastic, staff were quick and helpful and more surprisingly the motel was quiet and peaceful despite being fairly busy.
Pros - hot water was reliable and showers were as expected, no hot/cold flashes. Food in the area was easily accessible and walkable, a huge plus here.
Cons - definitely a dated, basic, minimum amenities facility. On the ground floor I could see the light of day under the door sill, and easily accessible by pests etc. would suggest a refresh on weather stripping.

Beds were good. A/C unit was extremely loud and sounded like it was going to blow up. Thankfully it still worked as it was would have been unbearable to stay in the room. Bathroom had some moldy spots on the roof, tub surround needs to be resealed and the window screen was ripped and needs to be replaced. Definitely could use an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Location is great and lots of parking.

Staying 1 night decent enough as you know what your getting for that price and it’s just a night to sleep

Beds decent but cleanliness of bathroom is ooor quality. Dirt and lint lots in bathroom vent
On floors in a thrill you can see they don’t sweep as dirt

Again .. we knew this wasn’t the Hilton we just need a place to stay but cleanness should be better as eu down and not fancy for a nights sleep is good but dirt and filth is unacceptable

We could get over the cinder block walls and the old mattress and garbage stored outside in the parking lot, however the quality of the mattress was absolutely awful. I feel like they may have some better rooms, as the pictures posted made us believe it was going to be much nicer. In short, we got catfished with the room pictures and would’ve had a much better sleep on an old couch somewhere.

This is the perfect place to stay if you just need a convenient place to sleep. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is very central and within very easy walking distance to multiple restaurants. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The price was great. I would definitely stay here again.
