I actually stayed at the 183 via Etrea apt because it has a lift. It is a very well appointed apt. On fri night it was very very loud outside with bands etc til after 1am. It was a little better sat and much better Sunday. The shop across the street has big tvs on its outside walls and they beam eerie green lights that go on the walls and ceilings of the bedroom. They need better window coverings to block this out. It’s very northern lights.

It started with no water available in the apartment but they were able to fix it late in the evening ( you can just imagine ). The host did not introduce herself and was focus more on what the contract is. Didn’t give any recommendations and communicate . You have to ask questions on what’s up if you have any concerns or issue. Otherwise , the place of very convenient to everything . You are literally in downtown Catania .
The place might not be good if you are a light sleeper as you can hear everything from your next door neighbor. The wall is so thin!!

The accommodation surpassed our expectations.
The whole apartment was extremely clean and had everything that could possibly be needed, including an iron and ironing board. We didn’t cook any meals during our stay, but everything was provided, had we wanted to do so.
The apartment is in a fabulous location, just off the main street which runs through the city centre, but tucked away and very quiet.
Another outstanding feature is the staff managing this Ferrini Home. From the contact beforehand arranging check-in, the key handover, introduction to the accommodation and local area, advice on taxis, luggage holding, the list goes on, the staff could not have been more helpful, friendly, kind and considerate.

Lovely apartment, very clean and spacious, and it was lovely having a terrace to sit out on. The hotel staff were very friendly and communicative. The location was brilliant- central to everything, but on a quiet side street so not too noisy.
Only issue was the stairs up to the kitchen area were creaky and a bit unstable.

The staff was wonderful - very responsive and friendly. The apartment was quiet while being just steps away from Via Etna with all the historical sights, restaurants and shopping. Grocery stores were close by as well as the fresh food markets. We used the pull-out couch and it was comfortable. We also used the small terrace every day. There is no view but we enjoyed feeling like we were part of the neighborhood.

It was probably the worst service and experience i have had in any place i have stayed anywhere in the world! The single aircon in the mezzanine attic room with skylights in a siclian summer is ineffective to say the least and when there is a pillar in front blocking it, it is unlivable. And when you complain, the manager on night duty was unapologetic, unhelpful, abusive and as much of a nightmare as the room!

Fantastic stay with the Ferrini. Great base to be in the heart of the city, yet quiet and well air conditioned. Great place for a couple. The staff were super helpful and hospitable from introdusin us to the place to helping with ideas or things to do. Very polite and helpful, can't rate them high enough. We did not have a car, maybe harder with one and where youy park etc.

The living quarters were loft style which is a favorite for me.
Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very cute and well organized with many gadgets for the stay. The hotel is central to restaurants and historic buildings and sites. Transportation is convenient and you can find tours and markets that are accessible by just a short walk.

Fantastic apartment!
Very comfortable and you can’t beat the location.
Comfortable bed, but you have to go up stairs to the bedroom and the bathroom is on the main floor. That is the only negative.
Office for the building is around the corner and they arranged a taxi for me to the airport. The ladies in the office are very helpful.
The metro is just around the corner and takes you (one stop) to the bus and train station.
The restaurant outside the front door is very good! Say hi to Katiana, she speaks great english and is very helpful.
There are also a few markets close by to get things to cook if you like, and bottled water.

It’s not as expected but luckily the location is very good, short distance from the main road Via Etnea which is very happening and almost car-free, relaxing walk. Staff communication is excellent and they started to assist airport transfer way in advanced, so much appreciated. Giorgio is also cheerful and friendly during check-in!

Thin walls & crazy customers

Check in time was 2pm and i have been communicating with hotel on my arrival. I arrive after 2pm but room wasn't ready. Then i found the room only had rain shower and no hand held shower which is really inconvenient if you don't want to wash your hair daily. Next , i a neighbour who rang my door bell profusely and bang non stop at my door at midnight cos he wanted me to turn off my aircon. This was totally disturbing on the 2nd night of my stay . Hence, i didn't enjoy my stay at this place at all.

Hotel is in an excellent location, close to shops, restaurants and bars. Communication prior to arrival and check in was excellent. We arrived a bit later than expected, and we were greeted and taken care of by Marina. The hotel staff even arranged airport transfers for us. We stayed in a studio, everything was very clean and well equipped. Would recommend if staying in Catania!

Overall good property in a great location, we loved the balcony and the small kitchen in the room. The only negative thing is the AC in the room, it is very loud and doesn't seem to be very effective (the property owner might need to look into upgrading the ACs) and if you want to keep it on at night you will struggle to sleep.
There is no front desk at the property itself but you can reach out to the staff via WhatsApp, they are friendly and responsive.

Beautiful apartment / the favorite of our two week trip to Italy. Not a good property if you have a car. There is a garage nearby but parking in the area is stressful. Great location but difficult to find as the apartment was on the first floor of building and almost hidden in an alley next to some restaurants, one of which was very good. They are very responsive. An earlier check-in is better with is property. The apartment had two balconies one of which was private and quite pleasant. The air conditioning worked very well. The bedroom is a loft with narrow steps - very modern, but you need to be able to ho up steps. We loved the place!

Hidden gem in Catania.

It’s a gem in this old city! It’s hidden from the main road, so it’s quiet! They actually took 2 years to restore this old building to turn it into an apartment block. There’s even a loft inside the building! Rooms are spread over 3 floors. You do need to buzz into the reception office in order to go in for the first time. Reception office is on the third floor. The staff is always friendly, courteous, polite and willing to help. The apartment is modern, clean and comfortable. There’s even an electronic kettle, tea and coffee available for the guests. Location wise it is convenient to walk to everywhere else. The Main Street is just outside the building. And the best thing, the alibus stops right outside the apartment, so that you can take it to Catania airport. Love this property.

Ferrini operates 50 apartment units in Catania. My family and I were in two different apartments in different buildings. Both were conveniently located on the Via Etnea, which is where the action is in this town.

The apartments are fully renovated and very tastefully done in totally modern Italian style. They could do with a few more touches to \"warm up\" the atmosphere and also need shelves in the bathroom and showers to hold shampoo, etc.

My husband and I were on a month long trip of Sicily so being on the road for so long, this apartment is perfect. It is quietas it is located right on a pedestrian only street and the location is fabulous your can walk to everything. There was a nice balcony on the roof top with very comfortable wicker seats. The apartment we stayed in was two stories and a loft. The loft was were the kitchen was located and everything we needed was there. We had another balcony in our bedroom that overlooked the pedestrian street and all three levels were warm and bright. The reception was warm, friendly and extremly helpful they booked a trip to Mt Etna for us and looked after all the arrangements, we didn't have to do a thing.

Ferrini Home on Via Monte Sant'Agata was a very nice place to stay. It is conveniently located, very clean and the staff was very helpful. Though breakfast was not included, our rooms had kitchenette which allowed us to purchase food items at the market. We also were able to make coffee, which was provided by the hotel. There are two good restaurants just outside the door to the hotel. I can't say enough about the professional and helpful staff who reviewed the local map and acquainted us with the various sites, assisted us in arranging a tour, helped us with bus information and schedule to and from Taormina as well as arranging transportation to the airport. We felt very secure and comfortable staying at Ferrini Home in Catania and would stay there again.

Ferrini Home is NOT easy to find but once you do, you will realize that it is well worth the effort. The best part is the location. Because it is in the heart of Catania, everything you would want is within walking distance. Great shopping, the fish district with wonderful restaurants etc. are right there. The apartment itself is rather dark but very comfortable. It is two story with a very steep, circular stairway so people with any type of disability may want to stay away. The loft bedroom is very comfortable and your host (who is one of the actual Ferrini's!) is really informative and helpful. Count on paying for parking in the local garage (about 12 euros overnight) which is 2 1/2 blocks from the apartment. The only other warning is that the shower is VERY small. If you are a person with any girth, you might find it difficult to fit through the sliding door AND/OR to maneuver once you are in the shower.

The location is faultless: central, bus stop to airport right outside, hotel clean, secure and modern. The staff were welcoming and very helpful - even sent me a birthday text. We would stay again - but not in the studio apartment. Small, lots of noise from people moving around in the apartment above, very dark and the apartment “balcony” was really only a space for the air conditioner. Only stayed a few days and was out most of the time, but just a bit disappointing. Would recommend as a good place to stay in Catania, but choose apartment carefully.

Having so much sought accommodation, with some perplexity I opted for this solution. It turned out to be excellent. Meanwhile, the location, a small street of Etnea street, very central, right at Alibus stop to and from the airport, as well as for example the urban bus to Aci Trezza / Castello. Check in with the kind Noemi, was exhaustive in every detail. The apartment has been furnished in a modern and tasteful style. For breakfast, if you do not want to take advantage of what is available, just cross the street to choose from the many cafes available. If I was the \"Margherita Buy\" of the famous movie reviews, I could perfectly reflect the fact that on the third floor there is no mention of the \"reception\" that the window blinds have to be affixed by matching the velcro with the one already on the glass , that in the bathroom there are no hangers attached to hanging towels and that the cleaning is every 3 days, without any need to be shown, so it is necessary, if it can not be done without it, to provide alone to rebuild the bed. All the many advantages in my opinion, obscure and just the case to say, these details. Highly recommended.

Lovely modern apartment

We had a lovely time in Catania. We stayed in Ferrini Homes in Sant Agatha and everything is walkable. The staff are amazing. The apartment is clean and modern. They gave us a red wine welcome gift. Thank u Ferrine Homes for making us at home in Catania.

Room OK, Finding it is not!

Staff was friendly and attentive. This is a private apartment for rent, not a hotel so do not expect normal accommodations.

The room was clean and well appointed for two people although very small. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom/shower was also very small. We were warned to wait between showers because the water heater was only effective for one person within 15-20 minutes. Washer but no dryer,

Biggest issue was the unavailability of nearby parking. Parking lot is about 2 blocks away unless you can find a spot on the street nearby(unlikely). Facility is located in the middle of a pedestrian/business alley so there is no direct street access or signage except for the address number \"5\" on the wall past the restaurant, across from transient vendors. Easy to miss!

Chic city apartment in central location.

I was welcomed by a friendly and helpful member of staff who explained how everything worked in the apartment. The building has been thoroughly refurbished and the common areas were lovely. The flat is arranged over two floors with the large bedroom on a first floor balcony. Everything is beautifully designed and well maintained. Kitchen is small and there is no oven but it has all you need for a short stay. Although the building is just off the main shopping street it is very quiet.
