Beautiful B&B at the centre of Catania. Everything is in walking distance. The old market outside is a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the aircon works a treat.

The room was spacious and cosy. However, the owner was completely irresponsible and unhelpful when issues related to the property arose. During cleaning, the housekeeper likely threw away my friend's pills. When we informed the owner, he began searching the trash (as if something usable could be found there), and when he didn’t locate them, he acted as if I wasn't speaking to him, totally ingoring me and not understanding English! His behavior was utterly rude and unhelpful. When we threatened to contact Expedia, he suddenly offered to buy the pills and told us to wait in the room. We waited in the room for an hour and a half until I called him, only to discover he had no intention of purchasing the pills. Instead, he was in town taking care of his own business. My friend needed to take the pills within a specific timeframe, and the owner didn't consider it important to inform us that he was not actually getting them as promised, leaving us waiting in the room. Eventually, while he agreed to pay for the pills (which is the right thing to do when items go missing on your property), he refused to pay more than what they cost in our home country. This is unacceptable because we wouldn’t have incurred these expenses if the housekeeper hadn’t thrown them away in the first place. His behavior was unacceptable for someone in the hospitality industry and outrageous! Proper guest care is essential to ensure a pleasant stay. Avoid this place if you don't want to spoil your holidays!

Great Location & Continental Breakfast

Location was great. Walking distance to Old Town, subway station nearby and right in the middle of a huge flea market that opens daily (except Sundays). If you like bargain hunting as well as shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables, you'll love it. First night we didn't know there is a layer of room darkening/ noise reduction panel IN FRONT of the sheers, so it was very bright & a bit noisy in the morning, and we could not sleep-in even though we were very tired. We also did not know we have to manually turn on the air-conditioning, so it was uncomfortable. After we figured out everything, 2nd nights on-wards was fine. Place is a bit outdated but location is great & building is secured. Also we like the fact that continental breakfast is at a coffee shop nearby and there is no cut-off time, so we can sleep-in & still can get breakfast. Another thing we found out after a day or so is that you can get whatever coffee and pastry/sandwich they have on menu for your breakfast. At first, we thought it was choice of coffee and croissant only. Overall pleasant stay for budget style accommodation.

A small hotel in the very center of Catania.

A hotel with only 4 rooms. In the very center of Catania, right next to Stesicoro Square, right next to the market. Rooms cleaned every 2 days. Breakfast at the nearby Caffè Bellini (one coffee and one croissant).

Good basic hotel close to everything including the Fero o Luna Market. It was a nice place with comfortable beds. It's not super glamorous, but the price is affordable and the place is centrally located.

We landed at this bnb by default as our original bnb booking asked us to cancel.
Hotels .com arranged for this hotel and I can honestly the bnb exceeded our expectations. Very clean extremely hospitable and centrally located. Alessandro recommended some very good restaurants.
I will definately stay here again.

Great location, good facilities

The only downsides were that there actually is no breakfast.. you only get a cappucino from a nearby cafe with a small pastry. If you want a nice pastry, you even have to pay extra. On the first morning I chose one with ricotta so they asked me to pay 1 euro after I ate. Dissapointing. Also, the bathroom wasn't particularly clean, but not too bad. I would probably stay again, worth the price.

Useful overnight stay in a grotty part of town

An overnight stay was required before catching a flight out so not much was expected. Difficult to locate - on first floor above the ground level. Luckily another resident of the building was leaving as I entered otherwise getting in the locked exterior door would have been difficult. Thankfully there was a lift to the hotel. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were modern, clean and spacious, the bathroom fine. Common to many hotels in Italy no breakfast was offered. No car parking available but a secure O/N car park was only a couple of blocks away (8 Euro for 12 hrs). This is a shabby and shady part of Catania where one does not feel very safe on the streets at night. One would not book this hotel for a lengthy stay. However the price was excellent.

Rude Staff, Poor Amenities

Our flight to Catania was delayed for three hours due to so we contacted the hotel to inform that them we would be late. We finally arrived at the hotel, exhausted after searching for it in the dark of night, only to be met by the person at the desk tapping his watch and looking annoyed. I assume he uses rude body language to communicate as a substitute for his complete lack of English or any other than Italian. I speak four languages; unfortunately none of them are Italian. They only time anyone attempted to communicate in English was when they wanted money or tried to sell us excursions. Whenever we needed help or had a question they were either absent or suddenly couldn't communicate in any language. The room was clean, the air conditioner was cold but the refrigerator in the room did not work at all. The water pressure in the shower was very poor and usually you had to run the water for at least ten minutes to get hot water. The room was cleaned every day but our possessions were often moved around and sometimes hidden; I don't know why. The hotel is located on a street with a large, busy street market . This means it can be difficult to exit the building and also it is very loud when the sellers arrive early in the morning. At night it is completely different as the street is eerily empty with no sign of life anywhere, other than the occasional homeless person or stray dog, and barely any lights.

I would not stay in this place again under any circumstance.

We would stay there again.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is a 4 room structure, without permanent reception. The owner and the very nice girl at the reception welcomed us and gave us all needed information. It is located very close to Piazza Stesicorea, where the historical area starts and a 15 min walk from the station (the walk is through a not so very nice area, but that's Catania; the street gives a slight impression of being a bit insecure, but we were absolutely fine and in the end we had lost the initial impression). The hotel faces a street where there is a big market, so it can be loud early in the morning, but if you plan to start sightseeing early it's fine. And it's not that loud.I was actually very impressed with the comfort of the room and the quality of the furnishings, they do look like a 3 plus or 4 star hotel. The room was very large, and epecially the bathroom, which in the case of our room was equiped for disabled people, so there was no bathtube, and the bathroom tended to flow. But that wasn't so much of a trouble. We had a problem regarding brekfast: we had booked a room with breakfast included and our reservation at the hotel didn't include breakfast (which is served in a caffe nearby). So they didn't offer us breakfast, but they were helpful in settling the issue, they phoned hotels.com for us, and I'm still expecting a reimbursment, it was appearently not the hotel's fault. In conlusion, with a few drawbacks, the hotel was nice and I would defenetly stay there again.

Very central firs floor property in an ugly building. Very friendly and polite owner, big clean room but the bathroom was for people with special needs and it was uncomfortable for us. Shame about the breakfast. Almost nothing: one coffee and one croissant in a bar across the main street with rood staff. Recepion is open from 15:00 to 22:00. I don't recomend this accomodation as there are many hotels with full service at the same price in Catania

Great place with fantastic price.

Great B&B (used to be a 4 star hotel). Super helpful owner, gave lot of hints where to go and where to eat. Bathroom was big and in great condition, just like the room itself. Only bad thing was the location of the B&B - right in front of a market that takes place every morning. People started setting up their tables at 6:30 AM and the noise was pretty annoying. If you're a heavy sleeper or sleep with earplugs on, it's a perfect place to stay.
Oh, and they don't serve breakfast, that is offered in a café around the corner (you only get a coffee/tea and one sweet pastry).
There's a parking house one block away (costs 10€/24h and it's safe).

Die Unterkunft ist soweit Okay, aber das jeden Morgen um 6 Uhr ein Markt aufgebaut wird und dass es danach ausschaut wie auf einer Müllkippe, dass sagt niemand!!!
Das Frühstück ist nicht im Haus, dass ist in einem Caffee um die Ecke, aber das fanden wir ganz nett.
Die Zentrale Lage des Hotel's hat das Negative vom Marktaufbau und den Müll wieder gut gemacht!!!
Fazit, wenn man nicht so viel Wert auf Schicki/Micki legt kommt man damit klar !!!
Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, Top
Die Zimmer sind Sauber und funktionell eingerichtet!!
Parkplatz gibt's vorm Hotel nicht, da muss man 500 m vorher suchen und es ist alles Kostenpflichtig, aber nicht so teuer
Mit Abstrichen ein gutes Hotel!!

La pensión está en el centro de un mercado callejero que solo cierra el domingo. El ruido empieza a las cinco o las seis de la mañana y dura hasta la tarde, pero entonces llegan los camiones de la limpieza. La habitación no está mal por el precio que cobran. El desayuno es en un bar que está en otra calle: un café y una pieza de bollería.

la habitación estaba limpia, la localizacion es inmejorable estas en el centro, por supuesto en los centro de las ciudades hay un poco de ruido con los mercados etc, pero para nada un problema. Si vas en coche hay un parking por 10 euros el dia a 200 metros. Las recomendaciones del staff son muy buenas y todo fue muy bien hasta que encontramos 8 o 10 mosquitos en la habitación. Cuando contacte con la persona responsable me recomendo que comprara algo para matarlos en el supermercado porque ellos no tenian. Esta respuesta esta fuera de lugar bajo mi punto de vista. Si no tienes un producto para matar mosquitos, se tiene que comprar uno y dejarlo en el B&B para el futuro uso de otros usuarios. Total, que compre un bote y me lo lleve de vuelta para casa.
Lo dicho, excepto el inaceptable comportamiento del bote para matar mosquitos, lo demas perfecto.

Hébergement très bien situé et confortable.

Séjour au cœur de CATANE, à 15mn à pieds maximum de toutes les visites de la ville. Quartier très populaire, avec le marché quotidien au pied de l'immeuble. Accueil jusqu'à 21h sans supplément, car notre avion arrivant à 19h, il a fallu tenir compte du délai de trajet entre l'aéroport et l'hébergement. Chambre spacieuse et relativement calme malgré le marché. Renseignements sur les visites et restaurants fournis par l'hôtesse. Par ailleurs, le petit déjeuner est pris dans un café à 3mn de l'hébergement, pas beaucoup de choix ... mais nous côtoyons les siciliens dès le matin. Par contre, nous n'avions pas de véhicule et heureusement, car il me semble que ce soit compliqué pur se stationner.

鉄道駅やバスターミナルへのアクセスも容易。
建物は古いですが、室内は広く清潔でした。シャワーの水圧は弱め。ドライヤーはホース式ではなく使いやすかったです。
朝食は近くのバールにチケットを持っていく形式でした。

Very good location in the Centro Storico, minutes to the Metro, airport shuttle bus, bars, good restaurants, the Duomo, etc. Large clean room above the outdoor street market. The noise dies down when the stalls shut down
Do not be discouraged by the dilapidated appearance of the street entrance , the building, and approach to the bnb located on the 1st floor (actually 2nd floor in the U.S.)Rooms are clean.and ample. Tjere is no 24 hour reception; must notify approximate time of arrival to check in. We would return if coming back to Catania. Grazie tanto!

Bnb super bien placé, à moins de 5 min à pied du centre de CAtane.
Le quartier comme l’immeuble Sont de prime abord vétustes mais ce n’est pas le cas.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et bien entretenues.
L’acceuil Est sympathique.
Il y a un marché le matin au pied de l’immeuble.

B and b en plein milieu du marché

Tous les matins sauf le dimanche il y a le marché donc dès 6h beaucoup de bruit et dès que le marché est fini et ramassé, la rue est sale
Sinon faut savoir que le petit déjeuner n est pas servi sur place, il faut aller le prendre au café à 200 m du b and b et c est un café et une viennoiserie , un peu léger mais très bon

Ottima posizione, centrale e tranquilla e si trova subito parcheggio. Bagno e doccia spaziosi, letto comodissimo, pulizia al top, camera accessoriata, con piano bollitore , cura dei particolari. E' la seconda volta che soggiorniamo qui per tutti questi motivi. La disponibilità e la cordialità dello staff è sempre quella nota in più che fa la differenza.

Nette comfortabele kamer in het centrum van Catania dicht bij alle bezienswaardigheden. In de straat is het elke dag markt. Typisch Siciliaanse omgeving.Frederico die ons kwam ophalen in de luchthaven was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam met tips over de omgeving en restaurantjes in de buurt.

Struttura accettabile accogliente il personale stanza ampia a ridosso del mercato rionale (ovvi e comprensibili rumori) bagno comodo. Manca qualche attenzione in più per i piccoli particolari di manutenzione tipo rubinetto del bidet che si muove, plafoniera rotta, moquette consumata, aria interna alle camere (almeno nella mia) con sentore di fumo di sigaretta. Tutto sommato accettabile e comodo soprattutto per la vicinanza con il centro storico e un parcheggio custodito a pagamento nei pressi.

Posizione fantastica, nel pieno centro della città, facilmente raggiungibile dall'aereoporto con i bus (fermate dei vari bus appena fuori casa); ottimi i servizi e la pulizia della camera, silenzio la notte anche se le stanze si affacciano sulla (Fiera o luni)ottima colazione Alessandro, il proprietario, gentile e disponibile, pieno di ottimi consigli sui vari locali della zona; ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo! Consigliatissimo!

Magnifica struttura in centro a Catania»
Magnifica struttura al centro della Citta\", stanza molto grande e ben arredata, con bagno altrettanto bello. Parcheggio immediatamente sotto casa, con personale disponibile anche li a dare una mano (e soprattutto a fare manovra nel parcheggio il cui ingresso è piuttosto stretto). Ottima la colazione e strategica la posizione per visitare a piedi la città di Catania.

Esperienza unica al centro della città.Personale dell'albergo qualificato e cortese,camera pulitissima e dotata di tutti i comforts.
Location ideale per chi vuole visitare la città in poco tempo in quanto la struttura si trova in pieno centro....gli spostamenti vengono resi semplici dalla vicinanza delle fermate bus,metro e dalla stazione centrale ferroviaria.
Lo consiglio a tutti. :)
