The B & B Stesicoro was very well located. The rooms were clean and fairly quiet except for some occasional street noise There is an elevator being installed which will help with the access. Now one must go up 2 flights They were helpful in being the bags down. Internet was available but not very strong and reliable
The staff was very friendly but English was not strong , so great if you can speak some Italian

Clean, quiet guesthouse in the center of Catania

The location in Catania is perfect and the room was clean, modern, cool (AC!) and spacious. We left too early for the breakfast but were given an excellent recommendation for dinner. The two drawbacks to be aware of: no elevator to bring luggage up 2/3 flights to entrance and the entrance is hidden behind the building, in an unattractive alley which was a bit daunting at night. However, the rooms were secure and we had no complaints. The host graciously arranged an airport transfer at 5am and walked us to the car. We had an excellent experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I would stay there again, very friendly staff who were always here to help.
They gave us a voucher each day for the next mornings breakfast for the cafe over the road. We were late getting breakfast one morning due to a trip to mount etna however we were able to get our items up until 4pm so we had a late lunch.
The street was a bit noisy out of the window on a Saturday night until 3am however we had some earplugs so we didn’t notice it after we put these in.
Clean rooms, lovely balcony to sit out on, great location on the main road in Catania.
Would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

We stayed for one night only, prior to an early flight. The room was very clean and comfortable.

It’s located conveniently for sights in central Catania and is well run by a couple of gentlemen who spoke enough English to communicate the basics.

I’d certainly stay for longer on any return to Catania. Good value.

Great option in Catania.

Nice clean modern rooms. We also had a nice balcony in our room for four family members. The checkin checkout service was excellent. They arranged a 4:30 am taxi for us. Very central location. Nice towels, soap, good shower. All non smoking. Lots do, places to eat and drink nearby.

Easy to get to. Great view. Lovely modern rooms. Very clean and pleasant. Staff very helpful.
Only issue when booking I can't remember whether I saw anything about only stairs. There is no elevator at moment which could be hard for older guests. However the managers are very helpful and will come help carry your bags.
A very pleasant stay.

Nice B&B in the middle of the historic centre

I have stayed at B&B Stesicoro for 5 nights. The reservation was made through Expedia and managed very well by the manager of the B&B. The entry of the B&B is located in a little back street, and contrary to some comments I have read on various sites, the location is extremely safe and heavily patrolled by local police, police and carabinieri.
On arrival I was welcomed by Fabio, the owner-manager of the property, who undertook every effort to explain the amenities and provided information of the area.
Breakfast was served from 7.30 am each day and consisted of fresh fruit, fresh pastries, freshly made coffee to order as well as small goods and cheeses.
The breakfast area was clean and well maintained during breakfast service.
Rooms were cleaned and made up every morning - this included arranging beds and linen.

Don't let the alley put you off

The entrance to the b&b is down a foreboding alley, but once you make it through the threshold the place itself is nice. It's on a main square in Catania, connected to the main shopping street - so very handy for shops/restaurants/bars, but with the corresponding noice

Don't judge a book by its cover, a small front door is in a dark alley, it did not look like much plus the residence is on the second floor. As they answered the door we felt at home, they only have 5 rooms with all you need. We had a full breakfast as good as it gets in Sicily. But what mad this place great it the night watchmen who help us with directions, recommended restaurant and suggested places to visit that made our stay in Catania enjoyable. As we were driving around Sicily the only down fall is parking in the municipal garage a few blocks away just across the town market

Very nice room on 2nd floor of a Baroque building - no lift but staff carried bags upstairs. Owner and staff cheerful and pleasant. Room on corner of busy Via Etnea and Piazza Stesicoro -very noisy at night. On street parking hard to find.

Fin beliggenhet midt i Catania. Nærme til alt. Rene og store rom. Hyggelige folk som jobber på hotellet. Husker ikke navnet på han eldre mannen som tok oss emot ved insjekk. Men veldig hjelpsom og hyggelig. Samme ved utsjekk, fikk gode tips og veldig hyggelig personale som jobbet på hotellet. Hotellet anbefales.

B&B in centro storico, con accesso da via laterale e due rampe di scale senza ascensore, offre camere comode, ma poco insonorizzate, sia verso i rumori del corridoio, sia verso la Via Etnea dalla quale gli schiamazzi arrivano fino a tarda ora.
La colazione si fa al bar di fronte, ottimo.
OK per breve soggiorno.

Sommes venus, il y a 6 ans satisfaits. par contre lors de ce séjour , 2 jours sans faire le lit, et vider les poubelles chambre et sanitaire. Cerise sur le gateau, pas d'eau chaude ,le jour de notre départ à 7H30. Par contre, avons beaucoup apprécié l'accompagnement, du Monsieur surveillant le soir et la nuit . a descendu les valises jusque. sur le trottoir. Merci à lui.

B&B situato al secondo piano senza ascensore in un contesto esterno lasciato andare, tuttavia il b&b internamente si presenta appena ristrutturato, in chiave moderna. A due passi da piazza Duomo, posizione strategica. Colazione con croissant al pistacchio, semplicemente delizioso. I due cognati presenti in reception sono molto gentili e disponibili.

Nos anularon otro hotel y tuvimos que cojer este. La ubicación es lo más bueno, está en el corazón de Catánia. Cuando ves la escalera y la calle te temes lo peor, pero despues no está mal.

Nous sommes arrivés un dimanche soir, il est impossible de stationner à proximité de l'hôtel et nous avons eu un PV vers 22 h alors que selon notre hôte le stationnement trouvé était gratuit le dimanche.
Le lendemain matin, nous avons demandé à changer de chambre car le sanibroyeur ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons passé le restant de la matinée au commissariat pour régler notre PV. Les petits - déjeuner sont plus que médiocres et la salle ne permet qu'à très peu de personnes de s'asseoir.

Mi sono fermato due giorni al B & B . Posizione centralissima in via Neve angolo piazza Stesicoro a circa quindici minuti a piedi dalla stazione centrale e comodo all'alibus, la navetta per l'aeroporto. Ubicato al secondo piano senza ascensore. Ambiente accogliente. Check-in gentilmente eseguito al difuori dell'orario indicato. Personale disponibile, premuroso. Camera spaziosa, bene arredata, armadio ampio, letto comodo, un po' rumorosa la notte perché affaccia su via Etnea, la via del passeggio di Catania, televisore di medie dimensioni, distante, aria condizionata efficiente, una abat-jour non funzionante. Colazione un po' al di sotto dello standard dei b & b frequentati.

la camera era gradevole e pulita, buona colazione e personale cortese.Mancanza di ascensore.
Peccato che la camera che avevo prenotato nella stessa struttura per una coppia di amici è stata data in altra struttura (B & B Gattopardo) fatiscente e con il bagno esterno. Queste cose non si fanno!

B&B nel cuore di Catania

Una sosta nella città di Catania è senz'altro consigliata e questa struttura, situata nel centro, è sicuramente adatta ad un soggiorno breve ma confortevole. Il rovescio della medaglia è che la posizione centrale comporta lo svantaggio del rumore notturno e la difficoltà di trovare parcheggio: gratuito è impossibile anche se comunque i prezzi sono accessibili anche per lunghi periodi. Trovare l'ingresso del B&B non è stato facile, in quanto si trova in un vicoletto, posto tra piazza Stesicoro (quella con gli scavi) e Via Etnea (il \"salotto buono\"), che non è proprio il massimo della pulizia. In compenso una volta arrivati al secondo piano (solo con le scale) si scopre una struttura molto pulita e accogliente. Il personale è gentilissimo e uno di loro ci ha accompagnato al parcheggio pubblico coperto, vicino ma complicato da raggiungere al mattino quando c'è il mercato (tutti i giorni). Ogni mattina la colazione è ottima (buonissimi i cornetti con crema al pistacchio) e abbondante. Nonostante sia un B&B almeno uno del personale è sempre presente (giorno e notte) e comunque viene fornita la chiave del portone per rientrare a qualsiasi ora

Romantic holiday in Catania

The accomodation is located on the main road of the city, the main sights were in ~ 5-10 minutes by slow walk, the only disadvantage was the constant excessive noise (caused by the ambulance and/or police sirens; the street cleaning car every dawn; the young party people on the way back home etc) the during the nights, which made our relax harder. The breakfast is buffet, but the choice is limited to 3 types of croissants and 1 type of bred and ham. Despite the daily cleaning the room was always dusty (probably the proximity of the main road). The B&B is located on the 2nd floor, there is no elevator. The stuff were kind, but better to bring a dictionary or be good in activity games, because the language knowledge is very limited. Guarded parking house is about 500 meter from the accomodation. Overall good feeling, but if you are not a 'deep sleeper' for sure you will be awaken the whole night.

Siamo stati in questo B&B per un paio di giorni. Si trova in una zona centralissima di Catania, la struttura e' abbastanza accogliente e nuova, camere pulitissime, ampie e molto luminose. Colazione a buffet dolce e salata. Durante la colazione abbiamo fatto 2 chiacchiere col proprietario,simpatico e gentilissimo.
Lo consigliamo e se ci sara' occasione torneremo sicuramente.
