Good location.
Quiet large room with a very confortable bed.
Great shower but the bathroom has paint peeling all over and definitely need a fresh coat of paint
Nice assorted breakfast served in your bedroom.
The main problem is wifi was not working at all so if you care I would not recommend this place.

The check in was lovely and so was the staff. The room condition was not great. There was some mold in the shower and paint peeling in the bathroom as well. There was a horrible septic smell in the room and the outside of the building was full of graffiti. It was not worth paying for a balcony only to look at a dirty area. The location was decent.

This is a lovely hotel once you enter the facility. There is graffiti on the structures around d it. At first I was concerned but once inside it is beautiful. I never felt unsafe walking at night. It’s perfect for all of the historical sights. TONS of places to eat within walking distance. The host made several excellent suggestions. The rooms are huge and shower is very nice!!!! Also breakfast is over the top!

Never judge a book by its cover!

On arrival at the small hotel we were shocked at the state of the outside, both the building and the road which looked dirty and had rubbish around.
The stairwell was also quite shabby.
BUT inside the hotel it was beautifully clean with good facilities.
The breakfast, which is served in the rooms, was amazing with so much choice and wonderful tasting coffee and fresh orange juice.
Giussepe, the manager, was so helpful with any questions we had especially about getting around on the trains and buses.
The hotel is near to a few great cafes and restaurants and a short walk to the main eateries further down the road.
I would definitely give this hotel 10/10 if it wasn’t for the surrounding area. But to be honest we found that a lot of Catania was dirty with rubbish in the roads.
Giuseppe tries very hard to please those staying at the hotel.

Bringing amazing breakfast in the room in the morning was great experience. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Since the hotel is in the old city center it requires a little effort to get to with luggage. Taxi might be the most convenient. My only thing is the 10AM checkout, hard when you are on vacation, but it is like that in Italy.

We thought this property was amazing. So charming, historical and in a great location with beautiful restaurants close by and the main city a walkable distance. We loved the story of the Palazzo and our hosts were kind enough to deliver breakfast to our room the night before as we had an early flight. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is charming and beautiful. The outside of the hotel is not charming. There is a small sign outside of the hotel with the name. You arrive on the main floor and there is no lobby. You. have to walk up to flights of stairs to the lobby. There should be a sign in the main floor welcoming you to the hotel. We had no idea where we were going and no information. The main floor does look sketchy. Otherwise, the rooms are beautiful. Outside of the hotel is not very clean. Lots of graffiti and very dirty.

Is a nice remodel old room but with lot of humidity odor, even the towels (that needs an upgrade were smelling the first day). There is no parking available in the place as we were told and the area feels weird to walk around late at night. We parked 4 block away and paid $25 euros per night 😕 and the only day we left the car in the street we were told to be careful by other tourists for car theft.

The pros The rooms are large very nicely decorated beautiful elegant old style with history but all the modern fittings and bathroom are all modern

Breakfast is amazing and delivered in the room

The only thing is if you are not able to take the stairs may not be the place to stay for you or if you are traveling with very heavy luggage
Having said that the owner helped up with our luggage up and down the stairs So we were ok

Overall enjoyed it and would highly recommend it

We actually walked to the property from the Catania bus station. This location is near bars, sex shop etc. I would it was unsafe but it also didn't feel very safe either because all the bars it's surrounded by. Outside of the property/street isn't super clean but it's Catania and most of the street were dirty. Inside the hotel was clean and super beautiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. Our AC seems to not work correctly.. so we got super hot at night..we stayed only one night so we just kinda dealt with it..

The exterior of the building looks more like an apartment building, but once you are inside the door of the hotel area, everything changes. My only complaint is about the outside, as there was a lot of trash out front. Inside everything was clean and the device was very good and well organized. This hotel is very close to a lot of things you can walk to. I recommend staying here.

The hosts were excellent, responsive. The rooms were clean and well appointed and maintained. The included breakfast was fantastic with far more food than we could eat and it was all delicious. My only complaint was the A/C was not working in our room, and it was pretty warm for September. Our friends across the hall said theirs worked great and their room was very comfortable. There is parking and it was safe off the street for a small extra fee, about a 5 minute walk from the property.

Conveniently located in central Catania - close enough to everything but in a quiet street. Rooms are spotless and spacious with excellent furnishings. Air conditioned, which is welcome when you get out of the 30+ degree heat.

Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Restaurant recommendations are provided too - covering all types. Breakfast can be ordered to your room or a voucher for a local café.

One cautionary word. This property is located at the top of steps (or a hill) so be careful with the route you choose to get there if using Google Maps from the central bus or railway stations.

I stayed here with my mother in one on their suites. Such a lovely room. The city Catania has quite a bit of graffiti. Don't let that fool you. As a creative I can appreciate the vibe of the city. I noticed a lot of review were about the outside. Anyways, the staff left me a very detailed explanation of how to get into the building and where everything was. They were very punctual in replying back to me. The room was stunning. Breakfast was included in my package. They brought it to our room and we got to decide what time was best. One of the employees organized a tour of Mount Etna for us. The tour was amazing. We ended up quading up Mt Etna and having a tasting tour. Everything was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend staying here for anyone.

Very helpful message before arrival explaining how to gain entry to the building , how to order breakfast etc. The outside street would benefit from anti graffiti paint, but once inside the B and B , it is beautiful and elegant . Staff are very friendly and helpful . Breakfast is amazing , delivered to your room at your requested time . Very convenient location - next to the university law facility , many very good restaurants nearby and very close to all the main sites of the city .

When we arrived at the front door of Palazzo Cerami and we weren’t sure what to think. Don’t let first impressions fool you. However, once inside we fell in love with this renovated property with a unique history. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff were divine and so helpful. Always contactable on WhatsApp. You have to order breakfast the day before and you will not be disappointed. Delicious local produce, brought straight to your room at your time of choosing. Nothing was too much trouble. When you come out of the B&B, turn right and immediately in front of you as some steps that lead down to some delicious local trattorias. Reasonably priced and delicious. If you continue down, you will reach the main shopping Street, Via Etna, If you look to your left, you will see Etna standing proudly in the distance. We felt very safe in Catania. Very little tourists during the month of May and you are mainly mixing with locals. We did not have one bad meal and all very, very reasonably priced. We stayed at Palazzo Cerami for four nights and we used it as a base to visit TaorMina, Etna, Monica, Siracusa and Ortiga. Highly recommended it.

We had an excellent stay at Palazzo Cerami. It's very well located and a lovely space for a very reasonable price. The rooms have nice showers and charming little balconies and in general have a luxurious feeling without too many frills. We had been traveling Sicily for a week and this was by far the best service we encountered. The concierge Giuseppe was very friendly and went above and beyond to answer any questions, helping us reserve a tour to Mount Etna, as well as a taxi to the airport, and was very accommodating about bringing us breakfast (which was excellent and extravagant) at an earlier requested time, so that we could make it to an early tour. We were sent frequent updates via text message and check in and communication was very easy. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the sights and was all in all a great experience.

This property was a surprise. No curb appeal at all. Neighborhood seemed unsafe to us. Tons of graffiti, seemed located in a back alley. No tourists around. We asked to cancel and get our refund. I make bookings all the time with no refund policies but have never had a problem. We were told to contact Expedia for the refund which we did. They called the hotel and then agreed the room was what we paid for and satisfactory. We left without staying and without our money. We spoke to other couples who lost money on bookings because they didn’t want to stay in less than what was promised accommodations. I guess our safety is not a consideration. Sad to say give Palazzo Cerami a miss and save your money. We have pictures of the surroundings- not where I would stay. Check your refund policies before you book.

This small but perfectly formed hotel is right in the centre of Catania but in a quiet street so no problem with noise. Our room was beautiful with a high ceiling and floor to ceiling window leading to a small balcony over the street. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom. Great place to stay for a 3 star property. It’s right in the heart of Centro Catania on a quiet street. Don’t be put off by the street …it’s typical Sicilian with graffiti & trash. That’s Sicily! Be careful with watching tv in the room. I was traveling alone so at night I was watching Netflix or Prime in the room. I wound up with a $500 bill for that! Book with breakfast…it’s delivered to your room and to die for!

Inside the room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was great, a rain shower with a seat to allow sitting under the rainfall!

I’ll start with the positives.

When it comes to service, on a scale of 1-10, I’d give Martina a 12. She’s very helpful, patient, gracious, responsive, professional and thorough in her introduction to the hotel. If I had a question or needed anything, she was quick to help.

My room was very large and had a comfortable bed, nice shower, beautiful chandelier, reliable Wi-Fi, nice furniture and working AC.

The box breakfast was a pleasant surprise - filled with meats, cheeses, puddings, crackers, bread, muffins, croissants. It was better than the standard buffet at many hotels.

The hotel is in an easily walkable area with many shops, restaurants, cafes and a street market nearby.

From my room, I could hear a singer at a bar until close, so I’d suggest bringing ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The hotel is in an older building with a lot of graffiti in the area, which was intimidating at first, but I saw it is common throughout the city. The open, long staircase is a bit of a challenge to maneuver with heavy luggage. None of the doors have typical doorknobs/locks and you are given 5 keys and two passcodes to get in and out of the building, which is more complicated than I have ever experienced. I needed someone to show me how to simply unlock and open doors.

Other than the last few issues, the hotel is fine.

The Palazzo Cerami surprised me. The pictures looked beautiful but I know pictures can be deceiving. The room was ACTUALLY quite beautiful! We were only there for a very brief time, but the people at the front desk were very polite and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and you can pair your phone with the TV which is really nice (so you don't have to watch Italian TV :) Overall I'd definitely recommend this place.

An extremely comfortable B & B in Catania.

Just completed a 7 day bike tour (staying at 6 Hotels/B & Bs) in Southern Sicily, beginning with a 2 day stay at Palazzo Cerami and ending our holiday there with another 2 day stay. In terms of comfort, location, cleanliness, assistance, helpfulness, efficiency and of course, the magnificient breakfasts provided by Petya, it was wonderful relaxing and pleasant guest house to stay. Martina who manages the Palazzo, could not have been more friendly, helpful and flexible during our stay - printing out boarding passes - allow luggage to be left well before booking in time - earlier breakfasts than scheduled.
Via Cerami is just off the central area but very close to historic sites - 15 min walk to catch the Alibus to the airport (4 euros) - some excellent restaurants 5 mins away. Would we recommend for a stay in Catania - absolutely.

The place is awesome and feels like you in a palace perfectly located with 5-10 minutes walk to impressive parts of the ancient city. For visitors with vehicles you can manage somehow the parking around the place, but make sure have coins to feed a meter (each hour is $1 Euro, but if you are staying for a day you should pay for 1 st half morning from 8:30 to 1:00 pm for $2.90 then take a siesta break till 3:00 and from 3:00 to 8:30 pm another $2.90 for the second half of the day and free till next morning till 8:30 am. You find a white lane, then you could be in huge God’s luck😄😄😄

Palazzo Cerami is a small B&B in the heart of Catania…very close to all the sites. Martina is very personable, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable of all the places to dine, means of transport, and arranging parking. Their breakfast was really impressive! Though likely the result of Covid-19 protocols, it is individually served to your room, and it is tailored to your tastes (sweet, salty, or both). The rooms are very spacious with nice amenities as well, with what seem to be very traditional decor.

Great stay, lovely staff in a good location. The only issue was that the walls were so thin you could hear everything going on and would get woken up at 7am every day as the hotel prepared for breakfast.

Great decors in an otherwise nondescript building . Probably the most worse check-in ever. I happened to call that I was on my way but was told no one would be there at 6pm, even if site indicated 8pm as reception closing time.I was informed that the access codes had been sent via email but I had not received them so I was told them over the phone in my poor comprehension of Italian. Had I not happened to call, who knows how I would have entered the building given no would be there around 6pm to receive me . Breakfast was very bountifully brought to my room the first two of three mornings….the last I was overlooked even though the hotel had assured me without my requesting that it would bring it to me first thing at 8am so as to be in time for my 8;30 taxi pick up . No apologies or excuses as I left without the promised breakfast.

We liked the fact that we could walk to a lot of historical areas; lots of restaurants & cafes; shops, etc. Perfect service. We printed our airline Boarding Passes there. We were given a bit of extra time to check out as our train was in the afternoon… all in all super good stay. We plan to return.

Very nice place to stay, it’s 2 blocks from all the action but some how very quiet and calm. It’s convenient for night life, and city center so you can easily get to the beach. Staff is really friendly and they helped a lot with every request. They also helped to call for Covid test as I don’t speak Italian. All in all it’s a good place in a comfortable historic building

The hotel is a palazzo converted into a Hotel. The rooms were very nice. Chiara the receptionist was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good and abundant and for covid reason it was delivered to our room. Very quite and few minutes from via etnea.

Disapointment in Catania.

Cleaning standards were low. Very tired decor, ripped worn-out sheets. The courtyard view was of a derelict building. Breakfast was a varied and rich assortment but nothing was refrigerated which was off putting ,in a very cramped room. We expected much higher standards for the price payed.

Quite nice with an adequate breakfast. Very tricky to find if driving by car, especially with limited GPS. Parking a bit of a challenge too. Otherwise, very pleasant.
