The national park is amazing. If I was to go back, I would not stay at this hotel, I would simply book the park and stay somewhere that I could drive to the park in an hour or so. The hotel smelled bad and was really old and not well maintained. The breakfast was mediocre but the breakfast room was crowded and (at least on the day we were there - it was raining) dark.

The hotel is not worth staying in.
If you are there at the height of the season may be it’s worth it, but like us if you are here the first week of October, then stay in one of the local hotels or B&B and park in the park parking lot before entering the park.
The breakfast was mass produced and the hotel is most certainly using the closeness of the park to its full advantage. Certainly not worth the money. Poor food, broken furniture. Look elsewhere depending as to when you are planning your trip. The pro was worth every penny

Everything was great except one thing: the bathroom bathtub was completely clogged the last day of our stay. Water was not moving at all. We reported to the manager. Hopefully they fix it. Breakfast was fantastic and super easy access to the park, just 4 minutes walking.

1. All staff were friendly, patient with questions, and helpful. Reception staff and dining staff encountered the largest groups of visitors. At check in/checkout sorting rooms and final payment of incidentals and during meals. Staff always helpful and knowledgeable.
2. Dining options both buffet and the Waterfall restaurant were delicious. The Waterfall is most elegant, lunch menu choices included a delicate trout dish, subtly seasoned and flavorful. We ate most of our meals from the buffet. Breakfast included homemade tasty mildly spicy sausages. My husband doesn’t usually eat sausage but he devoured these little gems as did I. Evening meals included an array of meats and fish, vegetables, salads, and desserts. All nicely prepared, presented, and replenished. We spent 3 days and 2 nights so had an opportunity to sample a variety of dishes.
3. Our room was clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable temperature.
4. The fitness room is well equipped and the Finnish sauna was a nice topoff after walking the lakes.
5. One small quibble…the whirlpool features of jetted water and heated water were unavailable. One could dally in the cool water after time in the water after time in the sauna, which we did.
6. I’m glad we stayed here. I highly recommend this hotel. It provided the amenities we desired. Thank you.
7. One last item…proximity to the park entrance #2 is a short 2-3 minute walk. Also the hotel provides complimentary rides to entrance #1 & 2 other local eateries.

The hotel had promised via email to provide an electric fan during our stay. But when we checked in the reception told that there wasn’t any electric fan. We were greatly disappointed at their lack of any integrity in running the hotel. Also, owing to the shabby condition of the hotel, there’s no ventilation inside the bathroom which is always stuffy and stinky.

We stayed in superior suite lake side. Room was comfortable and clean, with quiet surroundings (if exclude sounds of tourist vehicles from early morning). Breakfast was average with not so much choice. Beverages and food were low quality for the price we paid. Tennis terrains are not maintained and not usable. Near hotel there is a devastated hotel that looks creepy and smelling bad. Strangely, the ambulance car was constantly parked in front of the hotel which gave us uncomfortable feeling. Overall, we are dissatisfied and would not recommend.

The hotel is in much need of an upgrade. The room was comfortable but the lack of air conditioning resulted in uncomfortable nights.
On the plus side, the hotel was perfect for access to the National Park. After buying the first day of park entrance fee, the hotel extended this for the whole duration of our stay. In all four days for the price of one!

This is a nice, convenient place to stay when visiting Plitvice Lakes. However, it's a popular stop for tour buses so the hotel was full of frantic crowds. It's amusing mostly, but the crowds in the hotel and the restaurant were somewhat unexpected for us. Also the wifi is non existent, which wasn't too big of a deal because we didn't visit one of the most beautiful places on earth to sit in the hotel and use the internet.

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Plitvice Lakes. The location is perfect, right next to entrance 2 of the park allowing easy access. The room and hotel itself are fine for a short stay, but could do with some updating. The buffet at breakfast and dinner, could both do with some more options, and definitely some better labelling. We were travelling with a vegetarian, who struggled to understand what food was suitable as some veggie options still looked like they contained meat.

The hotel was nice, the staff was nice, they have restaurants inside the hotel open late, which is wonderful, they offer a breakfast buffet, but not until 7 am, which is a bit late if you want to be the first ones in the park, but it wad decent food. The bed was comfortable and we had a very peaceful nice stay, the pool was not what we expected, but it was heated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I usually try andd find something positive about a hotel when I review, but in this case I'm struggling. Location, at it's at entrance 2 is possibly the only thing, but TBH entrance 1 is the best one to pick. We paid extra for a park view room, and our room overlooked the car park, when I complained the woman on reception said a park view meant a parkint lot view, in a sarcastic tone. The hotel itself screams out, help the 1970's left me behind, and it feels like mainteance was last done then. Did not try the reastaurent for dinner due to reviews, but it was OK for breakfast, a huge area of buffet, but spread out, clound have used half the space for the options provided. See pictures for my view, and exmples of poor maintenance and design. This was part of a 10 day trip, and was the most expensive as well as being the worst by a considerable margin, in hindsight would have stayed further away and driven into the park / out again

Property is best located of all hotels at Plitvice. Directly above Park entrance. If you stay at this hotel, a one day Park Pass is good as long as your stay lasts, which is a great bonus. A fabulous location close to the park entry which was fabulous to be able to leave the car in the car park and walk 100m to buy tickets and head down to the boat. It is a very large hotel and is easy yo locate and drive into off the main road. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was a little noisy when other patrons used their shower/baths. In room 214A the plumbing was quite noisy. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the cooked food was tasty. It was nice to complete the walk and be in a warm, comfortable room within 100m.

I selected this property for its prime location within the park, and although we arrived extremely late, we were warmly greeted by the staff. However, the room's condition fell short of my expectations. The lack of air conditioning and minimal bathroom amenities were disappointing. Furthermore, the breakfast quality was underwhelming. The elevators are shot as are the carpets and bathroom plumbing. Staff are great but physical plant needs and, considering the price, requires a conplete overhaul.

The main attraction is of course Plitvice Lakes, which are a wonder of nature.

The hotel is right next to the lakes. So, the location could not be more convenient. Being at the hotel makes one experience the spirit of the extraordinarily beautiful place.

It is true that the rooms look a bit outdated but who cares! My room was quite clean and huge.

The breakfast buffet was quite comprehensive and excellent.

The staff at the front desk was very friendly, as was the staff in the lobby bar and the a la carte restaurant (didn’t try the buffet dinner restaurant).

When I visit a national park, I actually prefer staying at properties like this because they make me feel closer to nature.

This hotel is nicely situated in Plitvice National Park. You can easily walk about 2-4 minutes from the front of the hotel to catch a tram that transports you to various stations in the park.

Our hotel room was dated about 15-20 years in the past and needs a refresh. Everything operated well and the mattress I slept on worked very well for me. The view outside our window was sufficient with lots of greenery and the sound of water rushing along. It was peaceful and serene. The amenities they had was a bowling alley located at a 1-2 minute walk outside of the hotel, the gym and patio area was sizable. The pool, however; was a downside since they call it a “whirlpool” which is pie shaped. I like the rectangle shape kind, either indoor or outdoor.

The breakfast buffet was great and the selection was just right. We enjoyed the food and no complaints there. The dinner was a la carte and the food was great! I really liked my selections, which I have never it prepared in that way.

The front desk was helpful and many of them spoke English without using lots of filler words. Everyone smiled and always made eye contact.

Another downside to this was the small elevator. It can accommodate approximately 4-5 people without luggages. A suggestion would be to expand the size of the elevator and refresh the rooms.

We would try out another hotel for better rooms and amenities.

Being in the park is wonderful. It is easy to get to both entrances from the hotel. The rooms are a bit drab. Definitely face the lake if you can. You won’t be able to see the lake once the trees leaf out, but sitting on your balcony facing the woods is lovely. Be aware that the food is pretty awful. The whirlpool is only 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 C) so fairly cool. Sauna is an additional charge. Apparently if you book your room directly from Hotel Jezero, your park entry tickets are included - worth checking on that!

We chose Hotel Jezero due to its proximity to the entrance to Plitvice Lakes. It’s just a few minutes walk (down a lot of steps) to entrance 2. From there you can do either the upper or lower lakes.
Parking was easy and check in went smooth. The rooms, while adequate and clean, are a bit outdated. There is both buffet and a la carte dining options. The buffet was 20 euros each, not including drinks. We chose to skip the buffet and our meal was 44 euros with drinks, so it worked out well.
If you are doing more than one day in the lakes only get a one day pass. The hotel will give you and extra day stamp after your first day.

Due to its location it has a monopoly on options. There is literally no competition for them. The property for the most part is nice but where they fall very short is in the rooms. The beds are terrible. The bathrooms haven’t been updated in probably 30 years. They don’t provide hand towels or wash cloths. They don’t even have tissue paper . They suggest that you buy some at the market. We found the food options pretty mediocre. On the plus side, most of the staff is very nice and helpful. This property is state owned which explains some of this.

Fantastic location for seeing Plivitces

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, even though it did not get great ratings. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the location was unbeatable! Literally less than a five minute walk to the entrance to the park! And the bus dropped us off 700 meters to the hotel, so it was easy access with no car. Plus, the hotel provided transportation to the bus stop the next morning, so it was a win win for us!

The only reason to stay here is because of the location, but honestly you can find a better place (and much cheaper) with parking near the park wifely available! Do not recommend!

There is no way this hotel should be rated as high as it is. The hotel is outdated and feels unclean. Our room was even more so. The hallway and room smelled of stale cigarette smoke and mildew with no ventilation opportunity. The carpets were so old with stains on them, the beds hard as a rock and sheets that felt moist most likely because of the mildew smell/air. We had to close the door to the bathroom while we slept because there was some unknown constant dripping sounds. And the staff was generally unfriendly (with the exception of the bartender, Ivana, who was lovely).

This hotel clearly gets by because of its location abd the fact that most people, like us, stay one night and figure we can put up with it. They clearly don’t feel the need to operate properly, update as needed or provide friendly service. It is hugely over-priced.

Property is well located to the park, but severely outdated and buggy. There were only 2 outlets in the room, neither well located. The balcony was unpleasant due to bugs, the shower was challenging to use and frankly unsafe. The drain was plugged so you showered in your own dirty wastewater. Room has no ventilation or A/C. Ugh. Glad it was only a one night stay. The hotel’s only reframing feature is it’s proximity to the national park. Easy short walk to Entrance 2.

There are three hotels in the park. I believe this the \"nicer\" one. You are definitely paying for the location but for the price it could be a little better. The Shower did not drain at all. The room just felt dated and not great, felt like an old US Holiday Inn. The checkout woman almost charged me twice because they somehow didn't realize it was pre-paid via expedia. The breakfast was also fine, not great. One plus - there are two or three park entrances, and we booked the other main one thats far from the hotel. The woman who checked us in scanned our ticket and switched it to the entry 5 minutes walk to the park.

Lovely property right within walking distance of national park. Only comment would be that room was advertised as having a lake view…maybe if you leaned out the veranda…

Great location. Got room with balcony so nice view. Breakfast was okay, cereal, salad and normal stuff. Room was normal size although furniture was really old with stains. Staff was helpful. Highlight of stay was massage in the spa. After 5km scheduled 30 min leg massage and it was amazing. Spa staff was very nice and courteous.

The location was the best thing. It was situated right at entrance 2 like 5 minutes walk to entrance. Parking was free.

Old communist hotel not renovated with low ceilings, old non working plumbing ( basin and bath tub clogged) and terrible service. Forgot a pajama in the room and it disappeared thereafter.
