Great location for Lake Bohinj activities

The location was great for access to Lake Bohinj. The hosts were wonderful and helpful. The drying room made getting stuck in the rainstorm not an issue with packing the next day.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gasperin. It's easy to arrive at the hotel by bus from Bled. There's also parking for cars.

The hotel is in great condition, seems almost new. Everything is well built and clean. Our room was an economy double, but still quite large. Excellent wifi throughout,

Staff are very friendly and knowledgable. English is one of the native languages. Breakfast was amazing.

The hotel is a short walk to the lake, shops, restaurants, etc.

We would highly recommend this lovely hotel. The owners were super friendly and very helpful. We especially liked its location as we could easily walk to several restaurants in the town and the town next door. Finally the breakfasts were delicious and one could tell they went out of their was the accommodate people’s special food desires such as vegetarian vegan or gluten free. they even had peanut butter

Pleasant hotel in an attractive area.

The Gasperin is a pleasant hotel in an attractive area. The weather was cloudy and wet for most of our stay. The room we were in was on the ground floor and quite dark which might have been ok if it was sunny but it wasn’t. The area is pretty and although the hotel doesn’t offer evening meals there is a reasonable selection of places to eat nearby. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. The sun started to shine as we left and the lake was breathtaking.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gasperin. The entire property is immaculately clean and the rooms appeared to be recently remodeled. The owners were very helpful with recommending activities and restaurants in the area.

The daily breakfast had so many choices including many vegan options. Everything was fresh and they also made eggs to order.

It was a short 2-3 minute walk to the lake, tourist center, and small grocery store. Location is central to many activities. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel in beautiful area, good breakfast clean rooms would definitely want to pay the extra for balcony room with mountain view as the other side didn't really seem to have any very convenient for the supermarket and attractions that bohinj has to offer would love to go back and would stay here

Longing to go back

We had an amazing stay. It rained a lot but the hotel itself was so cozy, we didn’t mind hanging out in the room (we booked a large room for 4, even though there were 2 of us) in between hiking and exploring. Our room had two balconies/verandas which were great to watch the clouds from. Breakfast was superb-lots of variety which changed some during our 5 days there. Eggs on request along with pretty much everything you’d want for breakfast, including yummy cupcakes and dessert-y things. Great coffee. The owners are amazingly efficient- the hotel is really well-run. Everything was spotless, and room cleaning happened unobtrusively. We turned in some laundry- 15 euros for 5 kilos which is a great price … it was returned to us clean several hours later. The only slight drawback was no blackout curtains in the room, so we woke a little early. But other than that, I couldn’t recommend this hotel any higher. Also, we enjoyed the Lake Bohinj area more than the Bled area; it’s quieter and more relaxed/less tourist-central. If you’re considering a stay in the Bohinj area, just book this hotel! I don’t believe you’ll regret it!

The hotel is within the national park, it is only a few minutes walk from lake Bohinj and the local restaurants, a short journey (10 mins by free ski bus) to the Vogel ski cable car.

The staff speak excellent English and go out of their way to help, assist, and offer suggestions.

The breakfasts are fantastic, beautifully prepared, with lots of choice.

The facilities are immaculately clean.

We would highly recommend this hotel and location, especially if you would like a quieter location but still able to offer easy access to the all of the local amenities - we cannot wait to return!

All I have to really say is OUTSTANDING!

All I have to really say is OUTSTANDING! 5 stars without a doubt! I am usually always complaining about something, but this hotel exceeded all my expectations. Amazing hospitality, spacious, modern and clean room (it sleeps 6) even though there were only the 2 of us. We enjoyed very tasty hot breakfast with lot of choices, honesty bar at night, everybody was smiling and helpful, and let me tell you this hotel is sparkling clean. It is a family-owned business and it really shows in every aspect. I think it was a husband and wife managing the hotel and husband's parents cooking in the kitchen. I loved the special thoughtful touches like \"what to do if it it rains\" (hint it rains a lot there)..boat and bus schedules, maps..etc. The area was excellent as we were walking distance to Bohinj lake and 25 min drive to Lake Bled. Both were stunning!

We adored this hotel-a lovely small family run hotel with a great location. We much preferred Lake Bohinj to Lake Bled for a base of operations, because it was much less touristy yet beautiful and centrally located for hiking and day trips. The breakfast offered is delicious, room was very comfortable, and great WiFi. We hope to come back for a longer stay!

This lovely hotel is perfectly located for enjoying the Julian Alps. It’s 20 minutes or so past Lake Bled just a short walk from Lake Bohinj, which is much quieter and just as scenic-if not more so, than Lake Bled. They serve a delicious breakfast in the morning, which was a wonderful way to start each of our hiking days. So much helpful information is posted in their lobby-bus times, weather forecast, area maps with suggested activities, and the family that manages the hotel was very helpful with any questions we had. This is the kind of place that just feels comfortable-like home. It was the highlight of our Slovenia trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gasperin. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. We had a great view from our balcony. The hotel is a short walk from Lake Bohinj and several restaurants. We used the laundry service during our stay and it was quick and efficient. The service was consistently professional and personable. We would definitely stay at Hotel Gasperin again.

Loved everything!

We loved our stay and wish it had been longer. We had a smooth check-in and had the best breakfasts of our month long trip. There were so many options and the fresh made to order eggs were served by the hosts children who were so professional and polite. Everything was terrific. The room was so clean, comfortable and spacious for our family of four. The location was terrific as it was a short stroll to the lake and nearby restaurants. We loved the calmness of the area and can’t wait to return.

The hotel is well situated, a short stroll into the main area and giving great views out to the mountains. The rooms are very clean, good size, well equipped and comfortable with a balcony to enjoy the views. The staff were very helpful with suggestions of where to visit and friendly through out. Free hot drinks available 24/7 on a self service basis and a great choice of breakfast to set you up for the day.

An excellent few days at a lovely location.. Extremely peaceful and a great area for walking. The hotel owners were very friendly giving advice about the area as required. The choice at breakfast was very good too and this was our second visit to Slovenia , and we were so impressed at staying here last year we rebooked this hotel again this year. We went on our first ski trip together as a married couple & could not have asked for a better hotel & set of owners. The hotel was very well equipped (including a sauna) & set in a lovely idyllic town. The snow conditions were perfect for skiing. And the hotel owners reccomendations for local activities were a bonus for our trip (bowling, aquapark, waterfall & restaurants).

Staff at Hotel Gasperin were lovely and friendly. Recommended activities for our stay based on interest (and fitness level). We did all.
No car - not a problem. Excursions further afield available via bus. Timetables available at tourist office (2 mins away). Bus stop right in town (2 mins from hotel).
Asked hotel on airport transfer options to hotel. Recommended GoOpti. Very good service.
Spent last few days in Ljubljana. Bus direct from Ribcev Laz = 1.5 hrs.

Friendly, scenic & new

Although the hotel has a rustic-modern decor, everything seems fairly new, very clean, and nicely detailed with lots of woodwork. The family that runs it is very friendly, always active (even the kids help out), and cooked eggs to order with the excellent breakfast. Our balcony view across the valley was a delight each morning and evening.

We stayed 3 nights doing mountain activities. It's a 10-minute walk to Lake Bohinj and the village there; about half an hour from the more crowded sights of Lake Bled. Several restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel but we most enjoyed a modest outdoors place with good pizza & beer just a hundred meters toward the town.

My wife and I liked this enough that we have already recommended it to friends, who will be traveling through this area in a few weeks.

Spectacular area super venue

A home from home amidst stunning scenery, nothing too much trouble for the owners. Relax, enjoy and take in all that this b and b hotel has to offer in a small friendly village. Picturesque Ribcev Lev on Lake Bohinj a photographer's paradise, lake bridge and church. Active sport for those who wish for canoeing, paragliding, rock climbing and walking. The high season is July August and really things only get going on June 1st. May and June, lovely spring flowers walking and everyone so friendly.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect. Owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. Good info on where to go, what to do. Breakfast was homemade and incredible. You can do a room (which included balcony and partial kitchen, or an apartment with full kitchen. It is very modern and clean.

Lovely hotel, well situated

We based ourselves at the hotel for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. The hosts were very welcoming, giving us information on the area as soon as we checked in. The room was exceptionally clean, plenty of space and storage. The breakfast had everything you could want with fresh eggs cooked to order and a choice of homemade cakes everyday day. What once looked like the bar area was now a room to sit and drink tea and coffee whenever you wanted for free. The view from the terrace was amazing, looking out over the Julien Alps, bus stop and centre close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay due mainly to the location of the hotel and the friendly and approachable staff. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Loved the location. Beautiful view of the mountains. The staff was wonderful. The only down side was that we had to pay for breakfast at the end. It felt like it was a hidden fee. When booking it, it said breakfast was included. When checking out we got a bill. If we would of known, we would of gotten breakfast some where else.

Our only complaint (my wife and son - not me) is that the beds were too hard. A minor gripe was that the accommodation was a few mins walk from the lake - but I knew that when I booked it. I only mention it so you're aware that it's not on the lake.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Very nice room with a small kitchen. Balcony looked out onto beautiful snow capped mountains with Lake Bohinj just about visible as well. Staff were very helpful with things to do in the area, restaurants, hiking routes etc and the breakfast was great. The TV was a little difficult to figure out and the bed whilst comfortable was an unusual double/twin hybrid but, essentially the hotel was great and I'd highly recommend it.

B&B Gasperin is a nice inexpensive hotel near lake Bohinj. The surrounding area is quite beautiful. The room was big, clean and comfortable. The included breakfasts were also good.

Look forward to returning

Welcoming, relaxing - with a bountiful breakfast and tips on the area. For me, staying at B&B Gasperin for 4 days was delightful. They're well stocked with board games when the weather turns wet and let me leave my luggage for the morning on the day I was leaving.
