We stayed in an over water villa and the room was amazing. View from the room was spectacular and the room was open airy and spacious. Only drawback would be there is not enough shaded areas to get away from the sun. But that really is minor. Wilfred and Shabir were amazing as they we were so personal and warm and made us feel welcomed. Really made an immediate impression on us. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic 5 night stay at The St Regis Langkawi! From pre-arrival contact with their butler service to departure drop off with one of their drivers at the airport our stay was wonderful, free from worry and truly relaxing.

Having the butler service contact via WhatsApp was extremely helpful for assistance booking dinner reservations, spa treatments, transportation etc. Every member of staff that I encountered was so kind and friendly and seemed to love their jobs and cared about creating special memories for the guests. The staff go out of their way to talk to you to ensure your stay is exceptional and to get genuine feedback from you too.

The breakfast offering is probably one of the best I’ve ever had, large variety of options and everything is super fresh. During our stay we dined at all of their restaurants and although Kayaputi was a special culinary highlight it was wonderful to dine under the stars at the Pantai Grill, amazing meats and fish cooked over charcoal. The service and care at L’Orangerie must be noted and again great food and optionality.

I had two treatments at the spa, super relaxing, plenty of treatment options but it would have been great if there were steam and sauna facilities too.

Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to visit again soon.

From the moment you arrive you feel like royalty!
The staff are so wonderful, friendly and helpful and I loved the gong being rung as I arrived , the delicious drink and sweet .
The entire property was exquisite. Our room was gorgeous, spotless , spacious and had a wonderful view of the sea .
The breakfast buffet one of the best I’ve had .

Beautiful property facing the sea, clean and well maintained property care beach.
Our second stay here and the staff are warm and try to cater to your every need. I had a last moment request for a half day extension due to changes in flight timing which they accommodated.
The spa has been rebranded the St Regis Spa and it’s a big improvement in terms of treatment and products. My daughter had her first spa experience and they were wonderful.
The staff at the beach are so attentive and friendly, lots of good food optiobs at the beach grill. The Fine Dining restaurant is a must for at least drinks at sunset, excellent service and the Orangerie (main hotel restaurant) has a breakfast feast and varied all day menu, and the Astor bar has fabulous atmosphere.
Butler service was prompt and friendly, amazing suite facilities, we were very luckily to have it.
Wonderful piece of luxurious paradise for a few days.
Hotel is a quick drive from the airport which is a bonus,

A perfect resort for couples

A resort perfect for couples wanting to relax quietly in a hotel.

Friendly staff, impeccable service, morning champagne, butler service, and a beach resembling a movie set are impressive.

However, the small swimming pool is disappointing, and the fluctuating tides make the sea water appear unclean.

For guests needing to catch early morning flights, they also provide a take-out breakfast box and allow access to the airport lounge, making it a memorable hotel experience.

The hotel is nice. The problem it is on the other side of the island which is less popular due to the quality of sea water. Activities ie swimming and snorkeling are not feasible. The issue I have with booking with Expedia is that we lose a lot of benefits as Marriott ie no upgrade of room unless you pay extra

The hotel is simply fantastic, from the view, hotel facilities until the foods. However, there is a little disappointment on the arrangement. The room amenities (including the cups, toilet amenities and bathrobe) were prepared in pair only while we have 3 adults staying in the same room with extra fees. Also, there is small cockcrouch dead body had stayed in the bath tab for days without been noticed by the cleaner.

Greeted very warmly from the moment we entered till the day we left. Staffs very kindly upgraded our room and provided many little surprises along the way - room decor, setting up of bathtub, fruit basket and desserts, even help stitched a small tear my dress when I sent one for ironing. Amazing hospitality and service, especially from the beloved butlers.

Happy that all facilities were open during the pandemic , and that the hotel offered a la carte buffet breakfast. We had such a memorable stay. Definitely a 10/10 from us.

Only regret is that for our meals at the cabana private dining, we were not served the mignardise. We only realised this after we left. Would suggest to keep track of the meal course yourself. Food was good nevertheless

We were just looking for somewhere to chill out and not leave and St Regis was perfect. From arrival to departure there was not much that could be faulted. Covid measures were in place throughout and a welcome pack was provided in the room. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the room really spacious. Loved our view. The food choices were great - efforts were made for me being a vegetarian but really there were ample options for me . Enjoyed the live music in the bar area. The staff were very friendly, I think a bit starved for conversation with guests, we were quite fussed over. The pool was a bit of an odd arrangement with only one entry/exit access point, which was right alongside, almost on top of, a set of loungers. The beach was not a wow, but certainly private and catches a good breeze. The overhead fan on our patio did not work -we did not notice until the day before we were leaving. Enjoyed the 6.30pm "opening" of champagne on the main patio. Totally enjoyed the fine dining restaurant. As well as the regular visits by Hornbills. Would recommend and would come again

our stayed was great, there's were couple of things that could have been better.
I've booked a months or so, upon check in the room was not prepared yet and need to be wait which I didn't mind much. I've booked some events but they didn't find any record so they need to recheck which still okay.
The room was amazing, booked a suite with partial sea view, loved the small living room and balcony. The coffee machine was faulty and they've changed it which was good.
Breakfast was fantastic, wished that could have been more varieties, i think COVID kinda make them changes up the spaces and the menu to suit the SOP.
Anyway the hospitality was great thanks to all the staffs that attended us made our stay memorable.

Great place, we got upgraded which was amazing. Staff super helpful, small food gifts in the room every day. Its worth a stay.
Some little adjustment: pillows too hard, menu super expensive, no kids club on site, they should offer small toys to kids every day to make them feel special, the beach..gosh not sure if water muddy or dirty, loads of plastic in it. The views are amazing even with dirty water.

This was our first stay at a St. Regis and the first time we’ve splurged for a 5 star hotel. Incredible property, amazing amenities (free pressing, complimentary coffees delivered to your room, free packing services). I think I read from a review that kayaks were complimentary but there was a charge for them. Beach was not great for swimming but still beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful. We did have an issue getting in touch with the hotel prior to our arrival which did not give us the greatest first impression: we asked about a pickup from the airport and the cost- we reached out via Expedia and they promptly replied, however did not address the question we asked and mentioned looking forward to seeing us at a date that was one year BEFORE our arrival... that was concerning. I replied several times again asking for confirmation on our dates/try to get the price for the airport transfer and they never responded. We decided to call and they transferred us to the concierge desk, it rang for 2 minutes then brought me back to the main operator and the cycle continued 3 times before the main desk told me no one was available who spoke English. I told them what information I needed and that I needed an answer ASAP. Gave them our return contact information and they never called back. Finally got a response via email (about $50 USD each way, we ended up renting a car for like $65 for 3.5 days which was great because we got to leave the hotel for dining). In person staff was great.

Unfortunately this is not a luxury resort, although St Regis has some real luxury hotels. So we did not expect the uncleanliness: I was watching fascinated this long black hair (not ours!) at the bathroom floor which did not move during our five days. Obviously the floor was never cleaned as well as many other things like all the cushions around the resort. But even worse was the non-existing service: you could die of thirst on the beach, nobody would take notice. A real laughing stock are the legendary butlers, this means they do no longer work for St Regis; we saw our butler only at the welcome when he promised to arrange a table at the nicest restaurant in the resort. When we arrived hours later, nothing was arranged and the restaurant staff handled the situation so badly that we went out. Of course there was never any feedback from anybody. I could go on and on. So if you want to pay a lot of money for youth hostel service, go ahead, otherwise check out the other hotels on the island.

Beautiful property in an excellent location for peace, tranquility, and lazing about.

The food and staff are to a high standard, though at this level of luxury efficiency runs a distant second to the delivery of an experience. Checking in was frustratingly long and not helped by the fact that one was invited to sit while paperwork was processed elsewhere and shuttled back and forth. For those for whom time is of the essence, like me, and appreciate rapid task execution, be warned that this is not what the property is about.

Counterpoint: an emergency called me away at the last moment and they processed my checkout within moments.

My room was large and comfortable, the sleep quality excellent, and although the decor was not to my personal preference I found no fault to it.

Great property overall. I’ve also stayed at the aLoft Langkawi. I prefer that one because of its simplicity, but that’s just me. The St Regis is there for when you want to be pampered and are willing to pay for it. That’s where I was for this stay and the hotel did not disappoint.

The property is new and elegant in design. Staff are friendly and deliver a personal touch in service. For example, I was greeted by my name as soon as I alighted at the hotel, before I checked in. There were drinks provided while I sat at the lobby waiting for my check in process to be done.

We were upgraded to the 4bedroom sunset villa on our 10 year anniversary. It’s mind blowing, views from each room, piano, multiple areas for dining, a gym, a kitchen and countless chandeliers. The food is amazing, staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend you try this place once before you leave this earth or even twice. Took my breath away! This hotel was absolutely amazing! 5 star experience and service all around. We took a lot of time deciding which property to stay at during our weekend in Langkawi and are so unbelievably happy we chose the St Regis! The staff is so warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in until you leave to your plane gate! That’s right - they even have an airport lounge to get you ready for your flight with refreshments and light snacks. They literally thought of everything from A-Z in terms of customer experience. When we first checked in we had a small issue with our room that honestly wasn’t anything major, we just wanted a newer/more updated room. We were instantly upgraded to a suite and the staff made sure we were taken care of for our entire weekend stay. Everything was so appreciated, they really do think of the small details and cater to every single guest. The hotel itself is absolutely breathtaking and perfectly located. Clean beach, an UNBEATABLE, 5/5 breakfast (best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel - which says a lot), family friendly and still perfect for a couples getaway!! Loved everything about this place and can’t wait to go back.

Lovely beach and nice decor. Some of the staff very professional and some less so. Would score higher if we get a more personal touch. We stayed at the Danna too and they had the more personal touch there

Stay here if you can at all!

Room was fantastic - we were upgraded to a penthouse suite. Staff were super friendly and very willing to help with anything at all that they could. Breakfast is superb.

The beach is not swimmable, low tide and muddy. Watch out for sharp broken coral pieces. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. Hotel ground is beautiful.

Couldn’t arrange a twin room for me even though I made reservation one month ago. During the check in, the staff advised me to book through official website instead of booking through Expedia. Implying that I’d be given a very low priority no matter how early you made such request and they didn’t even bother to inform you before your arrival as my room was non-refundable anyway. C’set la vie but still, didn’t expect such experience from St Regis.

And the butler might be very busy and never returned our calls. After all, the hotel is luxurious and well maintained.
