The stay was overall OK. We realized after unpacking that the lighting in the kitchen area did not work. We arrived on Friday and were asked to allow until the following Monday when maintenance would be available. After asking on Tuesday we were told it can’t be repaired and we were offered another room, but it was too much of a head at that point. Also we didn’t have a microwave as promised.
The stay was overall OK, but I probably will choose another property next time.
The hotel needs to be updated. The carpet in the hallways is stained/old as well as the carpet in the rooms.

The stay was pleasant. At times there was some traffic noise but with the windows closed it was very quiet. I liked the small kitchenette with the microwave, hot plates, and fridge. Makes longer stays much easier. The place was conveniently located near the autobahn to make my travels very easy.

OK! Could be a lot better

Good parts:
1. The staff is very polite and helpful with info.
2. For the price I got, it was fine.

Not-so-good parts:
1. Cleanliness, maintenance and comfort could be significantly improved
2. Parking is a challenge. Though the staff informed about the possibility to leave your car in the Rewe parking lot nearby, it leaves you stressed because the parking lot has boards suggesting potential towing. I left my car there overnight without having faced any challenge.
3. Breakfast is basic so don't expect anything fancy. Coffee was great though.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean with extremely comfortable beds. Although the building is a little older, it does not lack comfort.
This place was booked out when we stayed and I can see why: exceptional value for money!

We arrived after midnight and left before 8 a.m. so our time here was short. After traveling through Germany and staying at numerous darling hotels is historic neighborhoods this was pretty basic. But it met our lodging needs and was convenient for our purposes. I missed AC and had to have the window open for cool night air. Clean, friendly, affordable.

Great place to rest your head; Needs better Wi-Fi

This hotel was a last minute decision but it was a great one. The receptionist was nice; I appreciated the garage parking. With the garage parking - I wish the little area to get to the elevators had motion sensored lighting or something like that - when the area is unknown to you - things seem a little weird but you get past it quickly. Bed is comfortable and room is cozy - only one annoyance - the wifi signal was pretty poor in 408 and was low signal and easy to kick off.

Hotel was fine for getting a good nights rest. Nothing fancy but adqeuate. Quiet location but somewhat isolated - you'll want to have a car if you stay here. Restaurant downstairs of hotel was very good and conveniently located.

A very budget hotel

I guess this is everything you can expect from a budget cheap hotel.. Not great, but the rooms are clean. The bed is not the most comfortable. What was said in other reviews about noise is true. The breakfast spread was disappointing. The free wifi connection was better than most hotels - a decent usable speed. There is a tram stop across the road that goes straight into town.

I have to say that this place is kind of depressing. It's along an obscure road somewhere, and there's no where to walk to. It's clean, and totally fine if you're just looking for a place to crash. But a little depressing in terms of the energy. For a three star hotel (I think it bills itself as a three-star hotel?) it should offer a bit more.....

Unless you are on business and you do not have to personally pay for the outrageous Hotel rates in Frankfurt, try the Achat Hotel in Darmstadt. I would recommend it. Frankfurt is for those who have business accounts which due to tax incentives for corporations, eliminate affordability for the average vacationer. Avoid Franklfurt and enjoy the rest of Germany.

Good value for the cost

This is a modern, clean and comfortable hotel with a restaurant and free parking. The staff is friendly and efficient. It's near the autobahn and easy to locate. If you are using public transportation it's on the streetcar line, which connects to the train. It's also within walking distance of a large store where you can buy food, wine, and other items. No air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room which was adequate for our early Sept. visit.

Location wasn't as close as I was expecting to Darmstadt centre, but I was faced with limited choice when I booked. Rooms were basic, with only one accessible plug in the room meaning I couldn't charge a laptop at the desk while working. Staff were friendly, restaurant seemed busy, but I didn't eat there. Not bad for the money paid though....

We only stayed for 1 night but it was comfortable. Taxi service is expensive but the tram and bus service saved us a lot of money. The italian restaurant was good. Did not have time for breakfast as out plane left early morning. I would recomend this hotel for someone wanting to save some money. Good value for the price.

Hotel Achat in Griesheim/Darmstadt

The hotel is conveniently located to major highways. A street car stop nearby that goes past the railroad depot and takes you right into Darmstadt, a quaint little town. A couple of chain stores open from 7-10 near the hotel took care of our needs.Griesheim is a smal town with a lovely bakery, cleaners, post office, restaurants and lots of small shops. A Italian restaurant is located right on the premisses and the food is real Italian. On the whole it was a quiet stay except for the highway noise. Nothing earplugs could not fix.
Parking garage is available but we took our chances and always found a spot.

Sehr verkehrsgünstig gelegen mit dem Auto, aber auch unsere Anreise vom Hbf Darmstadt mit dem ÖPNV klappte hervorragend.
Natürlich ist das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles ist sauber und viel Platz. Die Appartements zu viert passten super für uns.
Das Frühstück ist lecker und frisch und wird bis zum Ende der Frühstückszeit nachgelegt.Toller Start in drn Tag.

Das Hotel ist zweckmäßig, sauber und der Service nett. Der Empfang war gut und freundlich.
Leider halten die Fenster den Straßenlärm nicht sehr gut ab, was ich als Mako empfinde, da der Standort ansich gut ist. Man ist schnell in Darmstadt und auch auf der Autobahn.
Die kostenpflichtigen Parkplätze sind leider etwas eng durch die Betonpfosten.
Das Frühstück kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich dieses nicht gebucht hatte.
Grundsätzlich übernachte ich ganz gerne in den Hotels der Achat Gruppe.

Zum schlafen reicht es allemal.
Die Straßenbahn fährt vor der Tür weg und es gibt einige Parkplätze.
Leider war mein Zimmer ziemlich altbacken. Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht und als ich lüften wollte kam mir direkt das Fenster entgegen.
Auch die Beleuchtung im Zimmer war sehr fragwürdig. Es gab keine Deckenleuchte, sondern nur 2 Tischleuchten. Davon eine auf dem Schreibtisch und eine an einer Bettseite. Hätten 2 Personen lesen wollen, wäre das nicht möglich gewesen.

Eine sehr heruntergekommene Unterkunft. Es war schrecklich laut, da sich das Hotel direkt neben einer stark befahrenen Straße und einer Straßenbahnschiene befindet. An der Decke habe ich zwei große Spinnen entdeckt. Die Betten sind hart und unbequem. Als ich fragte, ob es möglich sei, um 12 Uhr statt um 11 Uhr auszuchecken, wurde dies sofort mit einem kurzen 'Nein!' abgelehnt, ohne überhaupt nachzusehen.

Hotellet virker noget slidt, og lidt outdated. Sengen var ok, men der var ingen loftsbelysning i værelset, og kun 2 stikkontakter, hvilket ikke er nok når man har mange ting der skal oplades.
Der var meget varmt, og vi var derfor nødt til at have vinduerne åbne, og der var virkelig meget støj fra vejen og togbanen.
Da vi kom var der ingen parkeringspladser, og vi måtte derfor betale 10 euro ekstra for at få en plads i en garage.
Morgenmaden var rigtig fin.

Zum Zimmer:
Im Schlafraum gar das kleine und das große Licht nicht funktioniert. Es gab keine Parkplätze am Hotel oder in der Tiefgarage, sodass wir am nahegelegenen Einkaufszentrum parken mussten.
Es gab keine Lüftung im Badezimmer.

Zum Personal:
Das Personal war super lieb, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Fernseher hat auf den Zimmer leider nicht funktioniert, dies wurde dann am Empfang mitgeteilt. Sehr kurze Zeit später kam schon jemand und gar es repariert. Vielen Dank dafür 😊

Preis-Leistung gut, Hotel hat jedoch Null Glanz

Die Umgebung ist nicht besonders vertrauenserweckend. Es gibt zu wenige Parkplätze und die Duschkabine ist eine Fehlkonstruktion: es ist gerade mal so für schlanke Menschen möglich, die Kabine hinter sich für den Duschvorgang zu schließen.
Die Zimmer sind sauber und es gibt einen Supermarkt in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Ich mag Darmstadt ohnehin nicht besonders, diese Hotel hat mich nicht umgestellt 😁

Wir sind als Familie dort gewesen, um die Buchmesse zu brauchen.Es war sehr gut zu erreichen von der Autobahn. Im Umkreis gab es einige Lokale zum Essen gehen, gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal war freundlich. Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Das Frühstück war gut, für jeden etwas dabei. Wir waren zufrieden.

Das Hotel ist langsam etwas in die Jahre gekommen und sollte teils Renoviert werden.
Die Sauberkeit war so lala, Stichwort Haare im Bad die nicht von mir stammen, da könnten mehr wert auf die Reinigung gelegt werden .
Interessant waren eigentlich die Kochmöglichkeiten in den Zimmern. Allerdings hatte das Zimmer zwar einen Herd aber keine Töpfe oder Pfannen mit denen man ihn nutzen könnte. Das war früher anders geregelt, verm. Nicht mehr gewollt das in den Zimmern gekocht wird.

Also erst Mal das positive das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Sauberkeit war auch völlig in Ordnung.
Allerdings war der Zustand des Hotels selber eine Katastrophe. Brandflecken auf Möbeln und Teppichen, ein herunter hängender Lampenschrim, weil sich der Kleber nach den Jahre bereits gelöst hatte, Lampen die garnicht gingen, im Flur heraus hängende Steckdosen.
Die Lage ist auch nicht wirklich gut von der Lautstärke her, da sie an einer mehr spurigen Hauptstraße mit Straßenbahn liegt und dahinter direkt die Autobahn. Da die Fenster natürlich wie der Rest nicht die neusten sind, hat es nicht besser gemacht.
