Hotel Monika was the perfect place to stay! The location was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit special. They even prepared a to-go lunch for us since we had an early flight and would miss breakfast. The night before our departure, they ensured staff was available to serve us drinks on the beautiful terrace, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this hotel for both the service and the atmosphere!

A very charming hotel in the heart of old town Trogir. Our room was spacious and clean. The owners and staff were so friendly and accommodating. They made our stay very enjoyable. There are lots of shops, restaurants and all the historical sights just steps away. The only thing is ,you have to walk in from the north gate as vehicles can’t get inside the walls of old town. It only takes a couple of minutes to get from the north gate to Hotel Monika but it is on cobble stone streets. We had no issue ,but if you have mobility issues it may be a concern.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Monika. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful and the rooms are very nice, clean and we had no issue with noise at night time. The terrace area on the first floor is a lovely place to sit and relax. The restaurant was also very nice with lovely service and delicious fresh food. I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to this lovely part of Croatia.

Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of old Trogir. No vehicle access thru the maze like old town so hotel front desk met is where taxis drop you off and carried our bags thru the beautiful narrow old streets to the hotel. Parts of hotel date to 15th century, but all the modern amenities and indoor finishes fully up to date.

Beautiful location in the heart of the old town district within a maze (literally) of cobblestone streets. Not accessible by car, so a couple minutes walk to catch the morning taxi. If you’re looking for a quiet place this might not be your best option as it’s quite touristy late into the night and the fortress walls have a way of echoing the sounds. Otherwise great spot with wonderful staff and first class concierge service!

Fantastic location. A quick note on parking instructions would have been great, but our lady was so nice, as were her two male colleagues. They fed us, despite the late time. The food was also very good. We ended up staying an extra night.

We had a lovely five-night stay in this hotel in early September. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous throughout. A member of staff called to check on us, as our flight was a little delayed, and, later, they let us borrow some beach towels. The room was comfortable, clean and air conditioned, with a good shower. Window shutters and curtains allowed for a quiet and dark sleep with little distubance. We got a plentiful breakfast buffet each morning, included in the price.
The hotel is a very short walk from the Trogir bus depot, so easy to reach by bus from Split airport (37 bus, runs into late evening, and costs about €2). The hotel is located in the midst of the old town of Trogir, an attractive warren of narrow, cobbled streets. All parts of Trogir island can be easily reached on foot.
There are lots of restaurants nearby (most relatively similar in their menu, but all of decent standard, with good seafood). Expect to pay €30-50 per person for dinner with a glass of wine. For a cheaper option, there is a market just outside the Trogir walls with copious food, sandwiches, etc.
Walking to the promenade, one can take a quick taxi boat to the beach on Okrug, for €5 per person. There you can swim and do a range of water-based activities. The beach is pebbled rather than sandy, so consider some swim shoes or hiring a recliner for €10 each. Or sit in one of the open air cafes overlooking the beach.
Altogether a lovely stay and a lovely hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel close to the marinas and airport. About a 2 minute walk into the town from the bridge which is the closest spot a taxi can drop you to the hotel. The staff were attentive and friendly. There’s a restaurant at the hotel and many other food options all around. I also appreciated how clean the bathroom was.

We arrived late and needed an early shuttle to the airport. Tony stayed late to greet us and to ensure that our shuttle was scheduled and secure. He went the extra mile by walking us to the shuttle pick up spot which was Les than 1 city block away. We were unaware that the whole area was only for pedestrians but pushing our luggage wasn’t too difficult. Some of the roads are in distress and it is obvious that they are currently being addressed. The town and Promonade is charming and there were many fish and Italian dining options even at 9:15 pm on a weekday night! The room itself was very clean and the linens were sumptuous. This was a definite “find” of both a hotel and town the night before we departed from Croatia after a wonderful vacation. Airport ride was 10-15 minutes tops.

The staff was great. We got there pretty early due to our early flight arrival. They stored our bags at the front and were able to let us check in an hourly early which was greatly appreciated due to our jet lag. They also had our bags already in our rooms when we did check in. The sitting area on the 2nd floor was fantastic for 6 of us to meet and have a drink and some mussels from the restaurant. Air conditioned rooms were fantastic and cold which was much needed on the hot day.

We stayed in the family room and had plenty of space for a family of 5. Wifi was ok. Breakfast was included and sufficient. Coffee was excellent! No lift available so be aware that there are stairs. I would highly recommend the Hotel Monika!
We stayed in the family room and had plenty of space for a family of 5. Wifi was ok. Breakfast was included and sufficient. Coffee was excellent! No lift available so be aware that there are stairs. I would highly recommend the Hotel Monika!

Loved this hotel. We knew we would arrive late, so we scheduled a pickup with the hotel (additional fee, very reasonable price!). Pickup was great, checkin was also great, and the room was amazing (we stayed in the attic suite). Right in the middle of Trogir, and the breakfast was so lovely, a few days later we went back to the hotel (we only stayed one night before heading to Jesenice) for lunch - one of the best I had in Croatia! I had the local grilled special - all fresh and if you sit on the patio, you can watch them cook it in the outdoor grill.
Overall, would highly recommend. Staff was lovely, and they all are willing to help. Location can't be beat, and food was phenomenal.

This hotel is in a walled medieval enclave with a maze of narrow sreets and no room for any cars, which require an outside lot for parking. It is totally inappropriate for handicapped individuals. It was not a good choice for an early trip to the airport, which we had expected. We saw no other guests and no more than one hotel staff on duty at a time. Our room was a fifth floor walkup -- not so good for octogenarians. We had to crawl into bed beneath the sloping rafters. Has a sunstantial restaurant that provided excellent room service. The town has a lot of charm, and the hotel setting might could be perfect for younger more agile folks seeking to understand Croatian life five hundred years ago.

Just a few minutes walk from the bus station and easy access to all the sights of the City - although we arrived during the morning, we were welcomed by the Manager and shown immediately to our room.
The room was on the first floor and was pleasantly decorated and had a lovely timber ceiling - not large, but morev than adequate for the short break we had booked -- a very comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep and it had a nice ensuite bathroom with a good shower. The room overlooked the courtyard restaurant and while we wondered if it might be noisy at night, we found it to be lovely and quiet.
Although they have a \"breakfast room\", it is possible to eat outside in the nice weather - a reasonable variety of food being offered including eggs cooked to order and VERY good coffee!
