The hotel was better than I expected for the value. It was clean and the service was very friendly. The only thing that I thought was expensive was the breakfast.
The location is ideal and having available parking was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Easy and access convenient access to downtown and sights. Great breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Unfortunately, there was minor vandalism to our rear windshield wiper while it was parked in the hotel underground parking garage. Wide cars beware when parking!!!!

I enjoyed the buffet breakfast but not tbe fact that for tbe first day and a half my room 513 airconditioner was blowing hot air.

It was only after conplaining three times that i was offered another room 313, where the airconditioner worked perfectly.

Otherwise my experience at The Darmstadt was good.

Location good. Air con welcome in hot weather. No kettle for making tea in room, and we were refused one at reception. Towels were thin and a bit mean. I agree room needn't be fully serviced every day but a very quick hoover and emptying the bins would have been welcome. Some staff v friendly. Some staff a bit abrupt.

The hotel was perfectly adequate, normal Ibis standard. But it is on a very busy road, so with the window open for fresh air you get a lot of traffic noise, even on a Sunday morning.

Liked location, room layout and cleanliness. Only thing that didn't work was the air/heat in my room, so when got into the room each evening, it was stuffy and had to open the window. Night of arrival day - it was particularly stuffy at night, but as window met flat-roof on 1st floor, didn't particularly feel like leaving the window open while sleeping.

For the price, it’s exactly what I expected for Europe. The room was small but had enough for a short stay. If you are a light sleeper it will not work for you as I could routinely hear conversations of people walking in the hallway. Bathroom felt small and cramped. Otherwise was fine for a short stay.

Our stay in Darmstadt was really nice, thanks to the great Staff ans location. Excellent breakfast. We visited most of the atractions by foot from the hotel.Don't miss Frankenstein castle.

Was a queue at reception everytime, had to wait 10 minutes once.

Room was nicely designed, with an AC which was very welcomed for the hot day that I spent there. Nice desk and window area. Unforunately no kettle or place to make oneself tea.

Location good in terms of closeness to city center and train station, but negatively it is right next to two very large roads which makes it noisey and also difficult for a pedestrian to navigate oneself.

Have stayed here before, a classic Ibis with the compact rooms. Comfortable, friendly, English speaking staff, with a nice breakfast buffet (extra cost). The hotel is about 1/2 way between the main train station in Darmstadt and the central square on a busy street. One block to the main tram line so it is easy to get around -- I recommend getting a one-day or one-week pass for the trams and busses.

Have stayed here before: clean, modern hotel with friendly (English speaking) staff. The hotel is s short walk from the center of town. Nearby bus/tram stops to get anywhere in town and even connect to the bus to FRA airport. Not too much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel near the corner of two busy streets.

Just a 5 minute walk to Darmstadt centre

The room looked lovely and welcoming and the bed, pillow and bedding was extremely comfortable. We were there for 3 nights and slept well every night. We had requested a room away from the road and this enabled we had no traffic noise as we prefer to sleep with the window open. The bathroom was more than adequate and soap was provided for shower and sink.

We did take our own kettle and european extension lead and this was used frequently for hot drinks in the morning and at night time. (The only available electric point was halfway up the wall so the extension lead was invaluable and it also enabled us to recharge our mobile phones.)

The hotel was just a five minute walk away from the town centre and ideally situated. It is also quite close to the railway station.

We did not try the breakfast at the hotel, as we met up with family during the day. There was no wifi in the bedroom either, which was a surprise. I believe it was available in the bar area but we chose not to use this facility.

We would stay there again.

I needed to be in Darmstadt for one night and was surprised at how expensive hotels there seemed to be. The Ibis was one of the less expensive choices, but I was worried due to the negative reviews regarding noise. However, this was not a problem at all (though I did request a room away from the street). The hotel is recently renovated and my room was clean and comfortable (although the bed could have been softer). The bathroom had no tub, but the stand up shower was roomy and the water pressure excellent. In-room internet was an extra few EU for 24 hours, but well worth it - the signal was strong. The hotel is also conveniently located between the train station and Luisenplatz (although the neighborhood directly surrouding it is nothing special). I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Typical IBIS standard, clean comfortable rooms, somewhat industrial feel but the staff was very friendly and all were very fluent in English. The location is very convenient to the tram system but is a little bit off by itself. Get a pass for the tram (day or week), it will make your visit a lot nicer.

Die Tiefgarage ist sehr schmal, worUf auch an der Einfahrt hingewiesen wird.

Wäre nicht das Thema gewesen, jedoch wir es erschwert in der Ausfahrt und durch eine Reling am Boden.

Wem die Felgen lieb sind bitte meiden und idealerweise für Autos kleiner Golf geeignet.

Nich gefallen hat mir, dass Expedia nur eine Person an das Hotel gemeldet hat, obwohl 2 Erw, 1 Kind gebucht und bestätigt wurden.
Gefallen hat mir, das die Mitarbeiterin souverän damit umgegangen ist und eine schnelle Lösung dafür hatte.

Fijn hotel, midden in het centrum. Wij waren er voor de gezellige kerstmarkt op loop afstand. Kamers zijn prima, met een ruime douche. Ook het ontbijt of voor deze klasse hotels uitgebreid. Je kunt zelfs zelf je wafels bakken. Parkeren kan in de garage voor maar 5 euro. Die is wel heel krap, dus je moet goed de maten van je auto weten.

清潔さでは問題なし。ただシャワーの水圧が著しく低く日向水のようなちょろちょろ水のシャワーだった。またシャワーの水温も一定でなく、すぐに熱くなったり冷水になったり。こちらは文句を言ったが改善せず。暖房もきかずに夜中仕事をしていたら凍えるようだった。あとアメニティーはシャンプー兼の液体石鹸だけなので、要持参。値段相応というか、あと20ユーロ足して駅前のMaritimにすべきだった。
Extremely low water pressure of the shower. The water temperature was not stable. The heating not proper so it was freezing cold at nights. Would recommend hotels in front of the station which were 20 or so dollars more expensive. The staff were nice though.

Für einen Kurztrip völlig ausreichend

Wir haben 2 Nächte im Hotel verbracht. Das Bad und das Zimmer sind relativ klein, aber für 2 Nächte war die Größe ok. Ausstattung war auch gut. Es fehlen nur Steckdosen direkt am Bett und eventuell ein kleiner Kühlschrank/Minibar. Es gibt auch keinen Getränkeautomaten. Man kann nur an der Bar etwas trinken. Das Frühstücksbuffet kostet 12 € und es ist von allem etwas vorhanden. Sogar eine Waffelstation gibt es. Das Frühstück war lecker und das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.
Restaurants sind in direkter Nähe. Die Fußgängerzone ist ca 15min zu Fuß entfernt.

Accomodatie was niet slecht! Enige nadeel is dat als je wilt annuleren dan houden ze 90% van het geld in. Je krijgt maar 5% terug.

Notre séjour s'est globalement très mal déroulé nous avons voyagé avec notre bébé et il a fait très chaud dans la nuit du 15 au 16 juin 2019 et la climatisation de la chambre ne fonctionnait pas.

nous avons signalé cela à la réception dans l'après midi et le personnel nous a précisé qu'un technicien passerait dans notre chambre pendant notre absence dans l'après midi.
nous sommes rentré à 2h30 du matin et la clim etait toujours en panne. notre bébé a été perturbé pendant toute la nuit à cause de la chaleur.

nous demandons purement le remboursement de notre nuit d'hotel si vous souhaitez conserver un client.

Für mich ging dieses Hotel überhaupt nicht:
1. Sehr, sehr laut. Zimmer auf vielbefahrene Kreuzung, nach Rückfrage wurde auch kein Zimmer nach hinten angeboten.
2. Zimmer sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, nicht mal ein Glas vorhanden. Bad ist eine Art \"Nasszelle\" aus einem Stück Plastik.
2. Lüften nicht möglich: Fenster nur kippbar (Auf Rückfrage Antwort:\" Menschen springen manchmal\" - es ist der 4. Stock, kein bodentiefes Fenster): Klimaanlage: \"aufgrund der kühlen Witterung (Mai, Außentemperatur 19 Grad) steht die Anlage auf Heizen und kann nicht umgestellt werden auf Kühlbetrieb.
3. 8 Uhr: Frühstücksraum in der Lobby viel zu klein, Frühstücken nicht möglich da alle Plätze restlos besetzt.

Hotel NICHT empfehlenswert.

Was mich geärgert hat war, daß ich vorab im Hotel anrufen wollte und per handy nicht durchgestellt wurde, bzw 30 Minuten in der Warteschleife hing. Als ich dann vom Festnetz angerufen habe, wurde mein Anruf komischer weise sofort entgegengenommen. 😕

Für kurzen Stadtaufenthalt ohne Komfort ideal!

Das Ibis Darmstadt liegt ganz in der Nähe des Klinikums. Da ich mehrmals am Tag einen Patienten besuchte, waren die kurzen Wege sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber funktional.
Man hat alles, was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt braucht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und eine Verlängerung der Buchung verlief reibungslos. Das Ibis liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Straße, aber die Fenster haben totale Schallisolierung, so dass man ruhig schlafen kann.
Das Frühstück ist mit 12€ nicht teuer, bietet aber auch nicht viel. So ist alles angemessen und ausreichend.

A place to stay overnight

Nice, clean hotel, good place to stay overnight.
I dont recommend the parking garage if you have a bigger car. Its very narrow to get though the exit.

Très basique

Très classique. 1 personne à la réception donc check in / check out relativement long. Cette même personne sert au bar ce qui complique encore plus la situation.
Très petite chambre et douche.
Parking voiture ridiculement petit.
Bilan: tout est petit sauf le prix

저렴하고 숙박하기 좋은호텔

가격에 적당한 호텔임 냉장고가 없어서 불편함. 객실내 비치된것이 아무것도 없음. 전형적인 IBIS 호텔임.

Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Ich war nur für eine Nacht auf Geschäftsreise hier, dafür hat alles gepasst. Das Personal sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sauber. Lage ist in Ordnung, in 10min ist man zu Fuss am Bahnhof und in der Fussgängerzone. Die Badezimmer sind von der Grösse her sehr minimalistisch, haben aber alles, was man benötigt (WC, Dusche, Waschbecken auf (gefühlt) unter 1m²), auch die Zimmer sind - Ibis-üblich - relativ klein. Wenn man wenig Zeit im Hotel verbringt aber durchaus empfehlenswert, überhaupt bei dem Preis!

Zentral gelegen, ruhiges Zimmer

Wir haben nur eine Nacht hier verbracht, diese war aber völlig in Ordnung. Frühstück haben wir nicht genutzt, da man in der Nähe kostengünstiger frühstücken kann.
Gut: das Hotel hat eine Parkgarage u für 5€ am Tag können Hotelgäste dort parken. Allerdings: die Ausfahrt ist dermaßen steil u das Ticketeinlesegerät oben auf der Schrägen (meine Handbremse war überfordert) - ich hatte echt Angst, dass ich dem Hintermann aufs Auto rolle.
