We stayed at the section that is across the street from the casino. We choose to stay here because we thought there would be more to do. The parking is far from the hotel and unless you drop your baggage at the door or pay 30$ for valet you have to drag it all the way to the hotel from the parkade. Additionally the room service closes early at 10 same with the lounge - only the casino is open which doesn't help when your traveling with children. As we walked outside you could smell cigarette smoke almost everywhere even though people wernt around. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location by the airport, easy to get to on the Skytrain. Did not have time to use the pool or gym but both looked good.
Be aware the hotel charges a $20 per person, per night resort fee!!!
I am unhappy with expedia as it was not included in the price and is not optional. So the room cost us $40 more than expected. Had we have known this we may have chosen another hotel.

I believe that this hotel would normally be good. However I was staying for one night and the electricity was out from 9am until after 11pm. This affected the ability to reach the Canada line station with heavy bags. Advanced notification or reduced rates should have been available for this stay. Difficult situation for a senior!

This is a great hotel, and my third visit. The skytrain is across the street 20 min to the waterfront. They have several nice restaurants including Gordon Ramsey, a nice pool and nice casino. A great Night Market in the summer.

Location of this hotel is exceptional. Proximity to the Airport and transportation is a massive bonus. Outlet Mall close by and easy trip by rail into Vancouver. Staff friendly and approachable. Would have enjoyed more time here and if heading back to Canada will definitely stay again.

Although we just overnight at the River Rock prior (many times) to a trip from the airport…..we were upgraded and we discovered someone’s old Chinese food in the fridge. They immediately took of the resort fees (which is substantial) off our bill!!! Class act! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very Disappointing Birthday Stay

We booked a **2-night stay at River Rock Casino Resort to celebrate our child’s birthday because his birthday wish was simply to swim. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were informed there would be no electricity from 9 AM to 11 PM due to hydro maintenance, which was not communicated before arrival. Our room had no lights, no TV, and no hot water, and all restaurants were closed, leaving us with two scared young kids stuck in a dark room. No emergency lights offered.

Although we appreciated the room upgrade, it didn’t really matter since the main reason we booked the stay was for the pool, and we were never able to use it. When the pool finally opened, the water was freezing cold, and even other guests chose not to swim.

Our kids were crying and so upset that we actually had to leave the hotel and take them to Watermania just so they could swim on their birthday.

Overall, the lack of communication, unusable amenities, and charging resort fees despite these issues made the experience very disappointing for what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration.

This has been one of my favorite places to stay over the years. This particular trip was very disappointing, there was a planned power outage that lasted the entire day, which meant that the restaurants were not open, e had no power in our room, and there was limited power elsewhere in the building. Although we knew it was happening, I still felt that they should’ve offered us something as compensation which they did not. They also charge us $100 per night deposit, which was new and not appreciated.

I’m so glad they used one of those extra loud industrial machines too, the quieter ones are so ‘yesterday’!
