Not a 5star, only the spa , gym , indoor pool qualify for this. …3star at best, the Grecian chain need to invest in their staff & customerr service training. No staff at breakfast to greet guests formally and ensure sign in that they are actual guests and not walk ins. Sunbeds at the beach are allocated in first come first serve…at £500 per night it’s insulting to your guests to have this arrangement. Aqua aerobics class was out of touch and dated. The instructor had a more discerning clientele but decided to conduct a class with a chosen tracks which were jarring, dated & loud techno music…please update your music choices which will enhance and enrich participants experience while entertaining the spectators around the pool area. Do not order a Classic Martini …bar staff do not know how to make one . Mine came in a tumbler, with ice no slice & made with a martini mix !!!!

I have been to the hotel many times. The best place in Cyprus. Right on a beautiful beach with more than enough beach chairs and umbrellas (belong to the hotel and you can even make a reservation of your favorite place if you wish for the whole length of your stay). Staff is above any expectations. The place is quiet, decent and welcoming as I only saw at other 5 star resorts.

Completely ineffective A/C makes you suffer

This hotel has a nice green area with a large swimming pool, private beach and numerous lounge chairs for guests around the pool and on the beach. There are hundreds of similar hotels in Agia Napa and other towns on Cyprus. Hence, this hotel does not stand out. The down sides, however, are overwhelming: A terrible 'shower in the bathtub' where one can barely move. And the completely dysfunctional A/C: It was impossible to cool my room to a reasonable temperature, especially in the afternoon/evening. My room was facing west and the sun would shine on the large window in the late afternoon. Cyprus is very hot, up to 95 F during my stay and to above 110 F in August. In the afternoon and evenings my room could not be cooled to below 82 to 85 F. Thus, I was sweating terribly when trying to sleep. I had complaint about the A/C and a technician worked on it but without any real improvement. He told me that this is the best the A/C can do. I can only recommend to avoid this hotel.

One adult 2 children the room was tiny with a flimsy cot bed. Breakfast served until 10 so it was EXTREMELY crowded with line for everything. 9:30 they stopped replenish the food. Horrible experience all together.

Overall, it’s not 5 star hotel. Stuff unfriendly, room cleaning was not good at all. Area near the sea, which hotel own - always was not clean . I stayed many times at Grecian Sands and it’s absolutely amazing hotel .

Very average

For a five-star hotel, I found the rooms surprisingly basic. The furnishings and amenities were of average quality, which is not what you expect at this level. The room itself was on the small size, and the bathroom was even more cramped—only one person could fit comfortably at a time. The hotel does have large facilities, but everything about them felt average rather than exceptional. Overall, the space and experience were more in line with a mid-range hotel than a luxury property.

Definitely not a 5* property, Expedia should revisit the rating and downgrade it. At best 4*.

It's got good sea approach but most other facilities are poor. The safe/locker in the room didn't work, the cleaning staff wouldn't clean the room properly, no iron given in the room even upon request, complimentary water bottle had to be asked every time, neither room was upgraded nor late checkout request honoured. Also food quality is average at best.

Staff were helpful though, but that didn't help much.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars but our air conditioning did not work in our room and I called the front desk and maintenance a couple of times to complain and they did nothing to fix the situation, like fix it or give us a different room. My husband and I couldn’t sleep the whole night because we were so hot and uncomfortable. We tried leaving the sliders on the balcony open all night but it didn’t even help. We were only staying one night because we were headed to Limassol, so I think that’s why they didn’t prioritise us, but I wouldn’t stay here again because of it.

One of the reception staff was rude when requesting child milk. When ask for complimentary water bottles in the room they didn’t deliver. Charged for baby milk which in the past hotels I have stayed they didn’t. Staff not helpful. Called up room service with no answer. When asking for additional water bill one of the staff said we had to call room service who don’t even pick up. I would not recommend this hotel and this is def not a 5 start hotel to me. No clear guides on reserving chairs near the pool. Really disappointed and would not stay in this franchise of hotel.

Average by all means.several instances that they fell short. Reception desk employee dismissive attitude giving a smirk, waiters not willing to answer to typical questions eg at what time is the buffet tomorrow. Lack of management supervision in most , not all , areas. Worn out and uncomfortable sofa beds , not thoroughly cleaned bed sheets.

We liked everything about the property. We went for a rest. As it was off peak season, (December) it was quiet but festive. The weather was beautiful. We had a free upgrade to a side-sea view. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea. We had a great view. The hotel restaurants were of excellent quality. We ventured out to eat on a couple of evenings to the nearby harbour area where there were several restaurants to choose from. The staff were all helpful and polite. We had hired a car so didn't use any local transport. We used the Spa, Beauty and gym facilities. A fabulous holiday!

My wife and I had a great time at the Grecian Bay Hotel. The greatest part of our incredibly relaxing vacation was laying by the beach under their large palm frond umbrellas on comfy chaise lounge chairs and swimming in their gorgeous and very large pool.
The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The soft sandy beach overlooking the turquoise and deep blue Mediterranean sea is steps away from the hotel, which is great because it is hot and humid in the summer, when we visited; not great weather for long walks. While on the beach or by the pool we ordered food using the convenient QR codes unique to each umbrella, and the food was brought out quickly and right to us. Talk about service! The food from the Beach Bar and the Grill was okay, not great. Still, the convenience can’t be beat.
The rooms in the hotel are large, clean, and comfortable. The towels were the best I’ve had at a hotel - large and plush. And the rain shower feature felt indulgent and satisfying. Our king sized bed was very comfortable and we slept well every night.
Finally, returning to location, the Grecian Bay is close to many restaurants and right next to a bus stop, making going out very easy.
One last positive - we stayed later ad the hotel allowed us to continue to use the grounds and pool, as well as a changing room with showers.
Overall, we were so pleased with our stay and will absolutely be recommending the Grecian Bay Hotel to our friends and family.
Con: not great internet in room.

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. I booked again because it has it’s amazing private beach with crystal clear water.
The check in was quick and smooth. I was given a lovely room (#303) with amazing sea view and great balcony.
Breakfast was ok. Pool bar is good. I also tried the buffet with Cypriot traditional music and dance.
Hair salon is good with reasonable prices. My only concern was the gym which was fully booked the 4 days of my stay…This was a big disappointment for me and should be improved by the hotel management.

5 star hotel just for the people's eyes and wallet

The most weird it was that in nowadays during summer time they have dress code in an old hotel! A couple with 2 newborn babies we stayed for 2 nights an they didn't allowed us to enter the restaurant because the husband didn't wear long trouser! There were not any other option at the hotel And we suffered all night looking around for somewhere to eat! They really didn't care at all at least for the babies!

I could say our stay at Grecian Bay was our dream vacation but that would be way understating how much we enjoyed our stay and how pleased we were with the staff, facilities, amenities, and nearby attractions. The beach and pool are wonderful. The room with balcony view of the ocean was beautiful. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The weather was nice.

The property grew on us as the week went on after being disappointed with the lack of sea view from the west wing.

Avoid staying in the west wing unless you want a view of the rear car park and tennis court.

You need a pool or sea view.

Food was OK. Although a bit boring.

Good thing was that the restaurant did not serve chips the whole week.

Salad bar was good quality.

Good idea about using plastic gloves similar to personal stations. This was when using the utensils at the buffets. Very good.

For price paid it was good. It was extremely hot abs staff wore masks, so smiles which one expects with hospitality was rare. You have to ask for everything, e.g. holding a baby at meal times, means asking for a high chair instead of being asked. Beach staff were the best.

Illiterate staff, clueless 2 star management

The staff is simply AGGRESSIVE to the point that we were ready to call the police:
Day 1. We arrived very late. We got sick and put the DO NOT DISTURB so we can sleep. The hotel staff broke into the room 4 times while we were trying to sleep, with DO NOT DISTURB sign on:
- Cleaning crew knocks and breaks in.
- Minibar check knocks and breaks in to look at the minibar
- Cleaning lady knocks and breaks in to ask when can she clean
- Random employee breaks in to let us know there will be a magic show at the bar.
Day 2. I go and complain to the management. DO NOT DISTURB sign is on, again. 4 more break-ins, for the exact same reasons.
Day 3. The same. Day 4 I hand write a note that I will call the police on whoever knocks on this door.

This is our 7th time going to the Grecian Bay and it never fails to tick all the boxes! It’s just just a 10 min walk into town so far enough way that you don’t get caught up in the hustle and bustle and noise. It’s situated on the beach so nice and close for that dip in the sea or just spend your time round the beautiful pool (which has bookable sun beds so no rushing to get up early to grab one!) Breakfast is amazing and the staff are attentive. The only small negative is the rooms are looking a little tired and could do with a re-vamp! In summary a wonderful hotel, great facilities and if all you want is a relaxing holiday then the Grecian Bay is the hotel for you!

Relaxing 5* Stay

Amazing hotel and fab service. They really did go out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We went with our 3 month old, were able to fill her flask with boiling water everyday. They upgraded us on arrival to a beautiful sea view room which already had a crib ready for our little one. Room was cleaned well everyday. And anything required was promptly catered for. Breakfast was plentiful. Nice and quiet as the season is only just about to start, many hotels still closed but made no difference to us as we needed the quiet time. Not all restaurants open however enough for us to have a choice, square was only 15min walk and used room service a couple of times which was well worth it. Very impressed with the indoor pool and spa area which is why I booked it as I knew the outdoor pool will be too cold for little one. I wouldn't hesitate to book again :)

The half board option means a table d,hotel menu of unrelenting format. Rather than a plated four course meal I would have preferred an allowance against an a la carte menu
