Horrible hotel, misleading photos and information in the Expedia. It should have a warning that most of the guests are junkies so families with children would avoid it. Police officers attending incidents every day. People brandishing guns in front of kids. Rooms were dirty and poorly maintained. My family checked out one day earlier because of a gun incident. The experience in this hotel/motel was among the worst in my lifetime. I will never stay in any Wyndham brand hotel ever again.

Broken blinds/ roller shade, facing the street level with no curtains to cover the window. Only sheer curtains.
The manager was super sweet and wove a blanket over the shade to block the view from people passing by and the street lights.

Me and my family left as soon as we walked into the rooms. Paid almost $600 for two bedrooms (one night). What did we get? Beds undone and stained pillows, one bed had long hairs on it, bed headers stained and scratched. Bathroom floors with water and clogged sinks. Now the refund (if any) is being pointed/passed back and forth between the booking party and the hotel. Do yourself a favor and don’t book there, not even as a last resort.

The rooms were smelly, toilets were stained, bed comforters dirty and stained. We had two rooms. One of our party decided within 30 minutes not to stay and asked for a refund and were told the only had “15 minutes” to decide. Their neighbors had their doors opened and partying and the area reeked of weed. I stayed the night but would not sleep underneath the sheets.

Don’t get catfished like I did, the phots are old and most likely digitally enhanced. The rooms and property is all outdated. The green on the mini golf course for guests is faded, the chairs and tables for guests by the pool are broken and need to be replaced. Guests are allowed to have pets and they do not clean up after themselves nor do the staff. Be careful where you walk! The water pressure was terrible, shower head crusty and water smelled bad. The air conditioning system also doesn’t work in the room.

Okay for the price, very basic stay

Howard Johnson on Colonial is not a great place, but it’s acceptable if you’re paying around $80 or less. This motel should not cost more than $80. Some rooms appear updated, but many are still outdated and very basic.

The positives: the sheets were clean, which matters most, and they offer a nice complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. Parking is easy and convenient.

The downsides: everything feels bare-bones, nothing more than what’s absolutely necessary. It’s not very quiet at night, with people walking around and noise outside. Overall, this is a budget motel — fine for a short stay if you know what you’re getting, but don’t expect comfort or upgrades.

The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I've stayed there twice. The fabric furniture in the room was worn out and a bit stained, particularly the office chair and ottoman. The only major issue I had with the property in general is the proximity to the highway. It is extremely loud, particularly in the morning, and made it hard to sleep.

I went back to the office and informed her that I was not staying. She said to contact you for a refund.

We booked this hotel expecting a good night’s sleep, but found that the room was not well maintained. The sheets and towels were snow white, but everything else gave us the creeps. Plastic wrap was still on the lampshades, the bathtub was dirty, and black mold on the ceiling was far too much for us.

It was two types of flying bugs in the room. The window in the bathroom would not close which I felt very unsafe. Mold near floor boards, peeling floorboards, rust stain in toilet making it appear as soon just used the room. This room is not worth $83 dollars. I should've received a refund or some money back for this!

Shopped around quite a bit before settling on Howard Johnson. Best deal! The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was about what you'd expect for that price. After a long day kayaking Silver Springs the hot tub was a perfect way to end the day.

The room was in unsanitary and unsafe condition. Roaches were discovered later during the stay, along with visible mold, holes in the ceiling above the toilet and shower, and a non-functioning smoke detector. The microwave and refrigerator were also inoperable.

These issues were reported to the front desk immediately upon discovery. Management stated they had no pest control available and that no further assistance could be provided beyond a partial room refund and a full pet fee refund if we left or they can move us to the room next door. As a result, we advised that we would be contacting Expedia to seek resolution.

The condition of the room did not match the online listing, and the environment felt unsafe. People fighting all night long throwing things. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This is the worst hotel.

The staff is friendly. But the complimentary breakfast is not hot during the week only weekends they add hot eggs and sausage. The pool was not working during visit only hot tub. The hotel it self is under going renovation in certain rooms and I had to be moved to my 1st room being not updated and it smelled . They did change me to a newer room with carpet . But I would recon for a short stay nothing pass 3 days .

Updated rooms, but you get what you pay for here. We again and again because we only sleep and shower in the room. We come to visit family or for other activities. This isn't a resort. That being said, there are pools and mini golf. Breakfast is minimal and not great, but will get you by. No in room coffee so bring your own.

The outside appearance was fun, nostalgic and the staff working on parking lot pairing busy and professional. The highlight, was the very kind and understanding desk staff. The disappointment was entering the room, you were quickly reminded this is a budget hotel and a 2 star environment.

Entering, appeared as expected, but a glance around showed adjoining room doors which did not look very secure, the tv and the in room fridge I didn’t open, but the rust was all around the bottom of the door, possible water damage. The , there was tiny and the toilet had urine I flushed (only urine thankfully) and a strange red stain which could be blood on the shower wall near the shower faucet. At this point I went to sit on the bed to ask for a different room. It felt like I was sitting on a straw mattress, so I untucked the mattress to see the side and then when checking the boxspring cover between the mattress, a handful of cockroaches swarmed onto the floor and most scrambled back to the mattress and a few that hit the floor scurried to different hiding places.

At that point I walked back to the desk and checked out, and ended up booking a second night in Orlando.

I need to call to get a refund which the hotel clerk told me, you contact them and they approve. I tried for a long time to cancel but it was a challenge to do while trying to book a new spot.

I was disappointed, but everything is expensive today and for many, this hotel meets a need, but could be cleaner.

I'm disappointed one I'm a phobic on insects especially roaches the room was crawling with roaches i travel alot and never ever ever will i stay at the Howard Johnson again. Not only that there were some shady looking characters walking around a group of 3 with his on . This will not be my only review. Didn't sleep much with crawlers around. Disgusting. Staff was nice but the place no no no stay away at this point wish i would of stayed somewhere else but this was close to a event i attended...i learned my lesson reviews are musleading some of them and some weren't i should of listened to the doors. Sorry but not sorry i won't do this again

The headboards were peeling. I Could not stay there and both hotels. Com and Howard Johnson by Wyndham refused to give me my money back. I would NOT recommend staying Here! Had to take my children and go find other accommodations. Very disappointed as I’ve used this service for bookings multiple times but will never use it again after this experience

The propeery is a good place to stay for the value. Howe ee the pool had been broken for over a month and I paid extra for a poolside room and they didn't make any accommodations for the pool being broken. Housekeeping now cleans 2 times a week and they didn't do anything other than remove towels and only replace them one time. Didn't change the sheets or make the bed

I booked this hotel for the pool, hot tub, washer and dryer, and mini golf. When i arrive Im told the pool and hot tub are not usable. Huge let down. The mini golf is a joke. I try to use the washers( only 2) but both are broken. One washers water wasnt working, the other wouldnt close and the screen wasnt malfunctioning. I had to go to a laundromat.
Theres also poop streaks on the wall in the bathroom.
The lady working when i checked in has a sailor mouth. She was not professional.
Huge inconvenience, terrible service, highly disappointed. I give this place -5 stars

We had 3 different rooms in a 15 minute time frame. All 3 rooms had cockroaches. The second room was unclean: dirty towels on the floor and bathroom floor, food wrappers and crumbs on the table, beds looked like they were already slept in and cheesy hand prints on the sheets and comforter.
