Staff was very helpful and cheerful. 2 of 3 elevators weren’t working. The tv was too small. The bed was so old it was nothing but lumpy. I am still amazed that staying at a Marriott wasn’t a great sleep for me. Guess I learned.

At the cafe/bar, some of the equipment wasnt working so half the items on their already limited menu were unavailable. Very frustrating stay for the price. Would not stay there again.

Too many renovations going on that nobody informed us of. No elevator to go down only up, stairs cut off, no ice machines. Doors slam when someone goes into or out of their rooms, walls are paper thin.

Checked in the room expecting everything to be ready to go, however bathroom was dirty with hair and stains all over. They did not refill the shower gel which had less than a 1/4 in it considering it was Christmas Eve and they noted they'd only be changing towels the next day. I had to grab a bar soap from family I was visiting for the next day. Property itself is old and not kept well. Pretty sad for the Marriott brand and would not stay here again.

The hotel wasn’t in condition to be open for business. Still renovating from hurricane damage. Every service was inconvenient. Prices should be lowered in every area if they are trying to stay open. I shouldn’t have to pay premium prices for the mess we were forced to stay with.
The staff was very nice. Nothing else was worth the stay. I don’t recommend any facet of this hotel to anyone. I don’t think I would even take my dog there. The atmosphere smelled of dust and construction odors and debris was in many areas plus most of the elevators were down. I am 81 years old, and don’t walk too well due to previous war injuries in Vietnam Nam. We were put on the third floor and had to walk through a maze haze to get to the front lobby. The employees often were not informed, and it was an absolute fiasco getting to our room. We were sent to elevators that didn’t work and had to drag our luggage through the halls and search for access on our own. The breakfast was really crappy and without standards. The complimentary coffee was cold and I had to pay for a cup of coffee in the dining area. This was the worst experience I have ever experienced in my travels. I can only think of one hotel that was worse (in NY City), was over run by roaches. No roaches in this hotel but I did see a couple rats scurrying in areas near rooms and construction on the first floor. I doubt I will ever go back to another Marriott. Corp.Mgt needs to learn the definition of “hospitality.”

The staff enter my room without my permission and stole my belongings. I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and all. Come to find out the door doesn't shut all the way so one of the housekeeping staff took my belongings. I had to also switch rooms because the air and sliding door didn't work.

I soon realized it was someone working in the room above me. The following morning, around 8:00 the drilling started again only louder. I called the front desk to ask if they could interrupt the drilling for at least an hour or two so I could rest until my morning appointment.
I think the person I spoke to was just placating me because the drilling did not stop. When I checked out of the hotel, I suggested they notify guests when construction work would begin and end. I don't get the sense I was taken seriously. I started my day, not well-rested and frazzled.

The HVAC system was not operating properly. We were too cold the first night and the system was so noisy we couldn’t hear the TV or talk on the phone. We asked for help and the front desk did not reply or file a work order for more than a hour. The next day, the maintenance crew replaced our unit. We didn’t have time to switch rooms because we had other commitments. We stayed in our room as long as we could then left for other activities we had planned in advance. Also, the room was not lit well, too dark and uncomfortable. The furniture was not at all comfortable, very and uncomfortable. Most of the side chairs, Devan and beds must have been a little too vintage. They were hard and uncomfortable. The artwork was very nice. The rest of the room needed an overhaul. Bathroom was too small. For the money we paid, the hotel was not up to any standard we are accustomed to. Overall, they should keep homeless folks there instead of top dollar customers. However, staff was very nice.

It was disappointing to see that the fire pit was not working and the washers were out of service. We had to fix the shower curtain rod in our room, and the drainage was terrible. The tub filled while trying to get a shower This was a 3 day stop to house hunt in the area, some of the amenities were the reason we picked here. The staff was wonderful, but maintenance could have been better.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s very close to Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST). Otherwise I would not recommend staying here. The room was dark, dated, and unclean. The microwave would only turn on in 30 second increments and the refrigerator was not cold. There also appeared to be people living in their vehicles in the parking lot adjacent to the hotel.
