My family encountered poor service at this hotel.

During breakfast hours, my family was shocked to find housekeeping maids in our rooms even though we did not put out “Please Make Up Room” sign. Our valuables, phones and important belongings were still in the rooms. Our pyjamas were still on the beds. These were clear indications that we had not left the hotel to sight see.

In shock, we approached the reception with 3 female staff. Two of them were extremely rude and unreasonable. They blamed us for not putting out “Do Not Disturb” sign. They claimed that guests can leave hotel without phones and personal belongings. They argued that housekeeping has the right to enter guest rooms any time during breakfast hours. Instead of helping, the reception made the whole incident worse.

Feeling uncomfortable and disrespected, we asked to check out with full refund for the second night after having paid in full for 2 nights. We wouldn’t want to leave if not for this intrusive housekeeping and offensive reception. However, we were forced to stay because our distressed request was rejected.

We had the opportunity to stay at another 3/4-star hotel in Kalabaka for a third night. There is no doubt that the service in that hotel was so much better than Grand Meteora hotel, which is overrated and over priced.

The hotel has a wonderful breakfast and is very close to Kastraki- a short and hilly walk. We weee able to rent e-bikes in Kastraki for the day and used them to visit each monastary. (Many people don’t know about this option). The hotel provides great robes as well as slippers. Big room and bathroom; great balcony. We had a view of the rock columns and Kastraki. Staff was helpful and we would stay again.

Check in was awesome, young lady who spoke English was extremely helpful & informative! Food & room were great! Facility was beautiful, location could be better & view is incredible. Breakfast was very disappointing. As a Vegetarian, there were practically no options. There was only one type of bread, no hot milk, only one fresh fruit. They were also not accommodating to making anything meatless for us. We scarcely had anything for breakfast during our stay and frequently found ourselves hungry. We could only eat white bread as all the breads had bacon/ meat in it. We requested for a bread without meat for the next day but were completely denied. Both days of our stay we had to spend money for our breakfast. Very very disappointing

Wow! Super clean and great views

Got a great rate at their fabulous 4.5 star hotel located at the base of the rock pillars. Great view from our first floor balcony! Exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Room had a few wall defects (paint, cracks) but was fine overall. Wifi was spotty at the very end of the floor where our room was (had to go into doorway/hall to keep a connection) but free is free. Plenty of parking space. Breakfast buffet had everything you could want and a lot you could not get to in one sitting. Great stay overall!

Not really close to anything.

Website and booking engines heavily feature the pool and gym. We booked the hotel specifically because we knew we'd like to swim after a long day of hiking. Unfortunately, on arrival to the pool we learned it would cost an extra $30/day for our family to use the pool. Note, the rooms themselves were only $87/night, so an extra $30 is a significant mark-up. This fee doesn't seem to be disclosed on the hotel website or the booking engines. Very disappointed.

It was obvious that breakfast was made for a large tour group that must have left early. By the time we came to breakfast at 0830a everything was completely dried out and unappealing in the warming trays. We didn't really eat anything.

Expected a lot more given it touts itself as a 5 star hotel. It definitely is not. Room was large, but the king sized bed was two singles pushed together, not comfortable. The shower was a joke, impossible to use without spraying water everywhere in the bathroom and tiny. The functionality of the lights, etc was terrible. Bartenders did not speak English nor were they polite. The receptionist was the highlight. Blonde lady who was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sub-par though it was complete.

Fantastic view, great staff!

Fantastic panoramic view of the Holy Meteora from our balcony! Comfortable room, good breakfast. The staff was very welcoming and Ms. Katerina at reception, in particular, was extremely helpful and accommodated a last-minute change in our reservation. One improvement we would recommend is in the WiFi which was a bit unstable.

Pefect Location For Relaxing vacation with family.

Hotel location is Excellent...Amazingly picturesque.
The pool is quite nice however at a minor surcgarge. Breakfast is quite good. Ample parking space is available. Lunch is not available at hotel however just at one minute drive there are many nice restaurants. The property is a very good one.

Lovely huge hotel with no pool.

Huge very clean and quite empty hotel. Beautifully fitted, service staff were wonderful. But no outdoor pool ? A place like this needs an outdoor pool and there is plenty of space. There is an indoor pool but that’s quite useless with the no outdoor sun chairs etc.

Our family loved this hotel. The facilities were VERY clean and well maintained. My husband used the gym and complimented how specious and well equipped it was. I took advantage of their reasonably priced spa services. Their spa facilities were very nice inviting and the massage was well worth it!. Their staff went out of their way to accommodate every request. Their buffet breakfast was amazing. All of this was complimented by the breathtaking views of Metéora from our hotel room. We liked that the hotel was slightly removed from the center of town so we could enjoy feeling secluded.

The hotel is beautiful and it's location is great.
The lady at the front desk was horrible' seems like she hates the world.
We arrived in the morning and left our luggage at the lobby. The stuff at the front desk promised me to put the luggage in the room when it will be possible. When we came back the horrible lady was there. We told her that we need to do check in and that the luggage is probably already in the room. \"So ' you do have a key! so what do you want from me?\" she yelled at me.
Than my husband wanted to order a massage. She told him she did not have the time to answer him and ask him to talk to her later. Later he tried to call the reception but there was no answer... she ruined our stay there.

Great hotel in Kalambaka

The location is not in the city but is very quiet, the rooms are clean, parking is free at the propriety, the beds are very comfortable. The staff was a little arrogant as they could not find our reservation and asked us to show the our reservation on our phone emails and after they searched better in their computer they found it. Not a deal breaker but the attitude is certainly something to improve.

Room was great. Shower was a bit odd as it had a soaking type tub and a shower. No Curtains! Had to be careful or water goes all over bathroom. Front desk staff was not very pleasant. And I interacted with 4 of them, none were pleasant. One word answers and not helpful at all. Hotel otherwise is perfect. Great location- close to meteora and to kalabaka for food.

It is amazing to stay in this hotel. It is located on the outskirt of Kalambaka city and is near Meteora, a popular attraction. The hotel is lovely because you can have an unblocked view of Meteora and it just takes about 10 minutes to drive to the nearest monastery. Every room seems to have a balcony where you can enjoy fresh air and the lovely view of Meteora. The breakfast is of good quality and has a reasonable variety of foods. Though many guests chose to dine inside the restaurant I chose to dine at the outdoor table where you can enjoy the Meteora view and the lovely climate. However, neither the WIFI nor the 4G signal was not strong enough to sustain a smooth browsing during my stay. That was a downside I could find. Before you book this hotel, plan your traffic to there as it seems there is out of reach of public transport. Moreover, I recommend you use Google map to navigate as the road to the hotel is unnamed in my own navigator.

Excellent hotel with very good service and helpful staff. As a family of 6, we had two double rooms looking out at the rocks of Meteoria. Large parking lot made parking very convenient. Easy access to the town and all the sites. Breakfast buffet was good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We used their laundry service. Turned clothes in around 6:30 PM and they were returned in a couple of hours. Would recommend to others.

Great Look of Monestaries

We enjoyed the views and the lovely hotel and room. We were highly disappointed with ourselves for not having gone to a local taverna to eat that night, because there were several large tour groups that made it expedient for the hotel to offer a buffet. They had the usual Greek selections of salads and desserts, but the hot buffet proved well overcooked, though we arrived right when it opened. The groups were polite, and there was certainly enough food, just overcooked or dried out. Having been through various parts of Greece already, we were used to seeing ripe tomatoes, freshly cooked food (though we'd not had a buffet on other parts of the trip, except at breakfast. We at least expected some nice grainy bread. Breakfast was similar, including no grainy bread, just white bread and white rolls, as well as left over dessert from the night before.
Staying was nice, but not eating. Put on your walking shoes and hike the kilometer or less to a taverna.

Access to the hotel is via a very well marked but fairly narrow rural road. You should probably have your own transportation...

This hotel is outstanding. bar open 24/7 and the staff really went out of their way to treat you well. The road going in was a little disconcerting because it is small and really not kept up, and it looks like you are driving into nowhere then you open up into this beautiful hotel. Only complaint is the showers are designed screwy, like an old European hotel would have the shower on the long side instead of the short side, I don't understand why they would do that in a new hotel, but it wasn't awful just not as good as it could be. It is also very convenient to the sights around there.

The Perfect Hotel

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. Our balcony had the entire view of the amazing mountains in Meteora. Just sitting back and relaxing with a glass of wine and staring at the view was very enjoyable. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Basically everything you would want from a good hotel stay during a vacation, they had it.

Amazing view!

This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet location that has a wonderful view of Meteora. Don't do the train for a day tour of Meteora from Athens Come for an overnight or 2 and stay here.You will love the peacefulness. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast was way more choices than anyone would ever need and tasty. Google maps will take you right there and there is signage telling you each turn. Include a trip to see these unbelievable monasteries and rocks and stay here. It's a once in a lifetime trip worth making.

Very nice hotel - excellent for corporate meetings, all brand-new and modern. The views from the balconies of the Meteora rocks are breathtaking. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely appointed, comfy bed, excellent AC. The wi-fi wasn't very strong but apparently it's sort of weak in the whole town (according to the hotel clerk).

Definitely below our expectations. Hotel had only a handful of its many rooms occupied in first week of August. No way to secure our door from the inside - the electronic lock kept it unlocked even after we were issued and locked it with a physical key. The luxurious decor, the noise reverberation, the emptiness of the building, and the room door issues made for an eerie overall experience.

The hotel is very new and excellent condition. Compared to my previous stay at other hotel in downton Kalambaka, the facility and room condition is far superior to previous hotel. Although it is slightly away from Kalambaka down town, it is quiet and huge faciility to relax and to have fun with our familiy. I really recommend the hotel for the people who seek for clean and excellent room condition with kind staff.

Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views!

This brand new, immaculately built property has the best views facing the meteora! This is a five-star rating property for the fraction of the price. Staying during low season, they offered to bring me my breakfast to the room and that was amazing! Imagine, waking up to church bells in the distance with the sun rising on the mountainous view (while sipping coffee and eating the vast two-trayed breakfast). I felt like royalty! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to visit the meteora.

L’hôtel était bien et très propre mais était pas du tout insonorisé, le personnel pas très jovial et pour un 5 étoiles , ça ne passe pas. Les services de la piscine payant ça aussi ça ne passe pas , manquait beaucoup de service aux clients .

차를 가져가기에 훌륭한 호텔이라고 생각합니다. 넓은 주차장이 있었습니다. 마을까지 걷기에는 조금 떨어져있어서 저녁에 인근 레스토랑이나 술집에 갔다오기에는 조금 불편할 수 있습니다. 낮시간에 볼 수 있는 메테오라의 화려한 경관을 객실 베란다에서 만끽할 수 있어 아주 좋았습니다. 다음에도 묵기를 희망합니다.
