This hotel has a great view of the mountains from the balcony. The room is on the small side but everything worked. No USB ports. Bathroom shower glass is small so it’s easy to get the bathroom floor quite wet. There is no toilet paper holder so the roll just sits on the toilet tank which got a bit wet. Free parking across the street. Staff is helpful. Buffet breakfast is inexpensive and very ordinary.

noise from the main avenue, which however, stops late in night,
very clean and recently renovated, warm atmosphere for very nice stay,

Worth visiting Meteora

Very nice small hotel on Main Street. GPS did not accurately locate by address but locals helpful. Free parking is block away but easy walk. Hotel breakfast very good and there is an exceptional Greek restaurant less than 100m. Shopping in immediate walking area. Meteora visible and easy, short drive. Staff very helpful with directions. Only problem was getting there thru snow storm in mountains. Snow plows kept roads open but recommend checking weather for when to visit. Driving can be harrowing when snowing but Meteora worth seeing.

The staff here were so kind. When I checked in, the front desk person asked if I wanted any info about the area, and then took 10 minutes telling me where the bus route went, what time each monastery was open until, how I could get back (bus vs hike), sights to potentially see along these routes, local food options and then gave me the map he had labeled with all this info.

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Obviously I knew this wasn't a luxury resort when I booked it, so the sheets and towel were a little itchy/rough, but everything was clean, including the bathroom.

The breakfast spread was nice. Gave the opportunity to experience some local flavor before heading out for a day of exploring.

Room with a monestary view!

Due to an one day train strike in Greece we had to make a last minute reservation at Alexiou hotel in Kalambaka. Room was decent size and it had an incredible view of a monestary in Metorea. $52 USD per night. We stayed a couple other night in town and wished we did not already have reservations elsewhere in town. The also kept our bags for us after we checked out while on a tour.

Too many things backwards

It was not a terrible stay, but
1) The card that turns the lights on was on the ring with the key that locks the door, so we had to use the flashlight to lock the door and then use the card to turn on the lights.
2) Bathroom lights were on the wall opposite to the sink. Good luck shaving in the dark.

The triple room was a little small for three people, the safe did not work, bath drain plug was missing, and the bed covers felt like they are made from non-breathable material.

Check-in was bumpy as reception could not retrieve my fresh Expedia booking.

Breakfast buffet was good.

Very friendly hotel staff! When I reached the hotel, I was immediately greeted by the hotel staff. He gave me an orientation of the entire area, including helping me to plan for my 3 days itinerary to make the best out of my time in Kalambaka, Meteora. The hotel is also very near the train station and public bus stop to the monasteries. Highly recommended!!!

Decent hotel in Kalambaka

We had a decent stay here. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Although the room decor was a bit worn and outdated, everything in the room was clean and worked.

The location was good - a 5-10 minute walk from Kalambaka station (up a hill as is everything from the station), on the main road through town so it's close to shops and restaurants. The bus stop for catching the public bus up to Meteora (specifically the Great Meteoron monastery) is opposite the hotel - there is no bus stop sign but ask the hotel staff to point out the spot (it's under the Hotel Divani sign).

This hotel is located at main road in kalampaka (where the main road starts). Easy access (15 min walking distance) to train station, main plaza, shops, cafe and bus station! I believe all hotels at main road are good. You take bus to meteora monasteries. So no need to stay close to meteora unless you want to hike there). Breakfast was good and staff was sourceful and kind. One of staff strongly recommend foot route from monastery to main road and it was great!

The bed would have been like sleeping on a board. The shower curtain went across the bathroom separating the tub and toilet from the sink. The tub was also super small so I'm not sure how you're supposed to take a shower. The guy at the front desk was really nice and it was on the main street which made it close to restaurants. Looking out the front door also gives a great view of the Meteora cliffs. The linens also didn't look super clean. Needless to say we decided to get another hotel nearby so we could take a shower and get a good nights rest. When they found out we were getting another hotel they called the owner but I don't think there would have been other rooms that were any better. If you are looking for a place to have a bed no matter how comfortable as well as a place to use the bathroom then this would be a hotel for you.

Only here for the night but really comfortable bed! The Bathroom was fine but did seem the shower had been shoe-horned in there between toilet and sink but not really an issue. Staff were good, very helpful with tips about the nearby monasteries.

At one end of town. Easy to find. Easy to get to Meteora. Owner could communicate well and was very helpful and eager to offer sightseeing advice. Even did our laundry for 10 euro while we toured around. Couldn't have been happier.

Good location, basic hotel

Overall this was good, especially for just one night. Compared to others in the area, it was a bit more expensive with out much better quality.
Rooms were nice, with air conditioning and a good amount of space. The beds and pillows were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Like in many European hotels, you have to put your room key in a slot by the door to turn on the lights. I like this electricity saving measure, but they should have a security light or a gap time when you remove the key. As soon as you removed the key, all lights would instantly turn off and it would be very dark. This made it extremely difficult to lock or unlock the door, since you had to take the key out of the slot to do so.
The breakfast was ok, fine for the price. Nothing special.

Could be better for the money

Excellent location on the main street, close to restaurants and shops. Owners are very friendly and helpful with info on things to see, restaurants to eat, roads to choose.
The room was relatively big, but furniture was old. The Bathroom was small, you can hardly move when you take a shower. It was not as clean as I expected.
Breakfast can be more varied and rich. No scrambled eggs and bacon.

MOST FRIENDLY HOTEL

Excellent location on the main road. Rooms big and nicely kept. The owner's son is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. He suggested our itinerary for the monasteries and arranged for a cab. I highly recommend this hotel to any visitors. We talked with the owner about so many things including tours, Greek economy, weather etc.

La chambre propre et comportant tout le nécessaire. Petit déjeuner correcte.

Petit point négatif, l’odeur de produit de nettoyage très forte à l’étage et dans ma chambre. Et le drap de lit qui se défait tout le temps. Pourquoi ne pas utiliser des draps contour avec élastique?

Spacious room with a newly renovated bathroom. Unfortunately the beds (at least in the triple room) aren’t full length, which means that your feet will be hanging out if you’re tall. Also, the pillows are very thick. The room was quiet and cool. Breakfast was decent, though a bit heavy on the sweeter side of things. Good location in Kalampaka, lots of free parking space nearby.

チェックインの時にフロントの人がメテオラ観光について説明してくれて、滞在中も質問をすると親切に答えてくれました。
朝食はリーズナブルなのに種類があって、おいしくいただきました。
チェックアウトの後に観光をするためにスーツケースを預けましたが、スタッフだけしか入れない所に保管をして管理されていたので、安心して預けられました。
