Our other hotel canceled on us and I was able to book a last minute room here. No regrets! Very kind reception at night and tips on where to find free street parking. The room was comfortable with the balcony being the best part. You can see the mountains and tiny monasteries from there if you get a mountain view.

Breakfast was delicious..not too many people there in March so it was just us and a couple of other small groups. A couple of staff there in the morning. Delicious cold cuts and toast.

10 ish minutes to the monasteries, depending which ones you want to visit.

Stayed as a couple in early April 2026. First there is no parking on site, but free public parking 100m away. Booked double room with Mountain view - expecting view of Meteora as per some pictures on Expedia. In the end building in front is nearly fully blocking the view of Meteora

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. The only down side was there was no kettle in the room or any facilities to make a drink. Hot drinks could be purchased. Complimentary tea and coffee would have made this stay excellent.

This is a great place to stay! Quiet at night but a super quick walk to the nightlife, shops and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and present at the desk at all times. Wish I had booked more nights!

- horrible wifi connection, though i was on the 1st floor
- very super limited breakfast, one morning i didnt have breakfast at 9:00 cz there was nothing left to eat
Not recommended for light sleepers
- it is located directly on the street, couldnt sleep cz of car noises all night
- sound of the empty small refrigerator all night, had to keep it on for cooling water bottles

2-night visit to Meteora Monasteries

Great room in smaller hotel right on major street and a short 10 or 15 minute walk to train/bus station. Numerous restaurants & shops are right outside the hotel. Great breakfast for only 8 euros. The tour company (for trip to the monasteries) picked me up at the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The wonderful lady welcomed us and gave us helpful tips.
The room that we reserved was supposed to be with king size bed but it was double bed.
Without even having to ask for it the receptionist upgraded the room to one with 2 twins connected and an additional twin bed. So it was resolved.
Overall- a very good place to stay in Kalabaca

Great Customer Service and Amazing Breakfast

We accidentally booked on the wrong week and only discovered it when we arrived. Between them and hotels.com everything was taken care of and we were housed that night. The breakfast is a decadent arrangement of small plates. Felt like a Greek version of a British tea party. Perfect place to stay

Amazing view and great hospitality

Fantastic location with amazing views of Meteora. Zack was an outstanding host, going out of his way to pass on tips off how to see the most rewarding places in the area. He appeared genuinely concerned that we should get the best out of our stay. There is an ample breakfast, convenient free parking nearby and lots of places to eat in the evening. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The only slight limitation is that the room we stayed in was rather small with three beds being squashed into a relatively small space BUT there was a fantastic balcony with its amazing view. They space downstairs compared very favourably - lots of it. We mentioned this disparity as we were leaving and Zack explained they were aware of the issue and hoped to carry out some refurbishment in the near future to address the concern about small bedrooms. This should definitely not put anyone off staying at Hotel Kakis. We really enjoyed our visit and, when visiting the area in the future, would go back there.

This hotel is exactly as advertised. Central. Balcony with view of the rock spires. Refrigerator. A coffee maker would be nice but I didn't expect it. The beds are a little soft, and bedding tended to fall off in the night, but these are really small things. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Very convenient hotel right in the center of Kalambaka near Meteora and the monasteries. The rooms are small and the bed takes up most of the space but if you are looking for a place to sleep that is clean and comfortable, this is the place. It was also a tremendous value. In many ways it's a very high end hostel with private rooms. Lots of nearby shopping and dining within walking distance.

Lovely hotel, great service, enjoyable breakfast. Perfect for visiting the Meteora monasteries. Very easy to find with free parking close by. Easy walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Room was clean and comfortable. Ours had a nice balcony with a pretty view of mountains and a peek of the grand monastery. Bathroom is small but clean.

The hotel is located at the end of the long main road, however the buses to the main town and the monasteries does stop near the hotel.There are shops / restaurants within walking distance.
The room, was lovely and had everything I needed. The bathroom looks dated but clean.
The staff and hotel owners are really nice and helpful. They go out of their way to help you find information about the town / site seeing / transportation etc.
The season was low (I stayed in march), so when breakfast comes, they give a massive / good choice of breakfast.

Professional Hotel is also soooo Nice!

Warm and friendly and professional all at the same time. Highest standards of service, information, cleanliness and convenience. Decorated for Christmas and with a pine log fire on the hearth! Thoroughly enjoyable. Early morning breakfast on day of departure by train was just for me. And we shared together the beautiful sunrise. Easy walk to the train and all tourist services.

A real old-school hotel, but not in a really good way. I vaguely recall it being cheap. The breakfast was OK. The rooms are basic and the rugette really needs to be tossed. Aircon worked and front desk people very helpful and courteous.

Simply Perfect

This hotel is an absolute gem. The location in Kalambaka is perfect as a base for exploring the region around Meteora. The building is beautifully maintained, clean and freshly painted. The rooms are great and if you are facing Meteora, the view is out of this world. Breakfast was hearty, fresh and filling and nicely displayed. But the best point had to be the staff. I have never met such nice and helpful hotel staff. Nothing was too much trouble, from giving advice in order to get the most from our visit, to offering us an umbrella in the rain to organising transport up to the monasteries. Honestly, lovely and helpful people, just great.

Best home away from home!

Byfar my best hotel experience while traveling in Greece. The location was perfectly located off the main street and walking distance to everything. The balcony had a very nice view of Meteora and the rom was very clean with anything you might need. The best part was the workers. They were so helpful and sweet and wanted to make sure you were okay and provided us with great information and advice for what to do. Before our train, the front desk woman made sure we ate before the long trip and was so sweet! Check this place out!

Maybe one of most thoughtful hotel gestures ever!

The reason for my title in the review is that we had a 5:30am train to leave town. As we checked out the hotel had made us a brown bag lunch with sandwich, drink, chips and dessert for the train ride--that is an amazing level of thoughtfulness and care that goes above and beyond. They didn't have to do this and it did require some prep work on their part---we already liked the place, this just made them in our eyes that much nicer of folks.

The facilities were fine and the back lobby has a fireplace which makes for a cool place to get a class of wine (which was inexpensive).

Meteora may also be one of the most amazing sites I have seen.

We had a great view of the mountains, but a room with two twin beds pushed together instead of a double bed - made for an awkward sleep at times. If a double bed is important, specify that over a view! This hotel is in a good location to the see the Monasteries and for meals at night. Wifi was not working well when we were there. Room was clean, hotel has a cozy dining area for breakfast.

My shower was slow to drain the first night I stayed but she had it fixed right away when I mentioned it. The fireplace was great to read by. Would definitely stay again !

Le personnel de cet établissement a été très professionnel, aidant et très aimable. Emplacement parfait pour les déplacements. Aux pieds de météores et à courte distance des montagnes. En ce qui concerne restaurants et magasins, il y a une panoplie de choix dans les alentours, ainsi que supermarchés.
L’hôtel n’est pas le plus moderne de la place, mais il est propre et avec tout le nécessaire pour passer un bon séjour à Kalambaka. Le déjeuner était excellent et le personnel encore une fois exemplaire.

Purtroppo mettendo il filtro su parcheggio si viene illusi che ci sia un parcheggio privato della struttura, mentre invece quello a disposizione è un parcheggio pubblico in strada.

L'unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta è il fatto che la vista montagna delle camere è molto limitata, dal momento che di fronte è stato costruito un palazzo più alto che oscura la vista.

메테오라 아래에 있는 마을 초입부에 위치한 호텔이고 주차는 주변 공영주차장에 주차가 가능하다.
시설은 오래되었지만 친절한 관리인과 주변의 상권은 좋다.
주변에 마트와 음식점이 위치해 있다.
