Great location and definitely awesome views, but be advised that the reception hours are very limited. We arrived around noon and nobody was there (we had advised them ahead of time but they never got back to us about it), and the lights were off. We left our luggage behind the desk and walked around a bit but had a tour at 3 p.m., and it took three phone calls to get someone to come around that time for the check-in so we could change and freshen up. The breakfast was ok, the bed was really low on the ground (mattress with no edge support), and the shower was as about as big as a locker. Reasonably priced though and close to everything.

There was a problem with the flashing of the toilet! The picture of the balcony was different than the actual balcony we had. Overall not a bad hotel. The receptionist was not the most welcoming person but the rest of the staff was nice!

Negativo: algunas fotos mienten (las vistas no son para nada las que se muestras). Se ven las montañas de Meteora? Sí claro, pero de ninguna manera como se muestra en las engañosas fotos. El estacionamiento es otro punto negativo. Incómodo, de difícil acceso y pocos lugares. La atención no es muy cordial.
El acceso a piso superior es por escalera.
Lo positivo: cómodo habitación, limpia, buena presión de agua, cama cómoda y aire acondicionado. Tuvo lo necesario para descansar bien una noche. El hotel se encuentra en excelentes condiciones y queda cerca de comercios para comprar insumos (bebidas, alimentos), así como de fácil y pronto acceso en auto a los Monasterios (aproximadamente 15 minutos de auto).

The property is clean but very old and tired. The bathroom is very compact and a larger person may struggle, but great hot water pressure. The bed was low to ground and as hard as a rock, i had the worst night sleep i woke up with sore hips from having no lumber support. I would not return purely for the uncomfortable sleep, as a comfortable bed is more important to me than the variety of food at breakfast.

Very happy with our stay. Very clean. Towels changed daily. Friendly staff. Wonderful location for exploring Meterora.
Hotel set back from road with good parking.
We liked Kastraki. Quiet in November but several local restaurants were open. And the Autumnal colours were gorgeous.

Hotel is conveniently located for the tourist attraction of Meteora. Parking is easy, breakfast is good. Balcony has sideways view of the geological formations of Meteora. There are some good restaurants within walking distance which are reasonably priced.

I stayed at Meteoritis Hotel for two days at end of December 2023. It is located in Kastaraki and a path leads upto the Meteora Rocks from right on front of the hotel. Kastaraki is about 30 minutes walking from Kalambaka (where the train station is) or a short taxi ride costing 6 Euros.
The hotel and the room itself was clean, the staff nice and helpful. The room was nice and clean. The hotel bar outside the premises was mosty closed though. If you want tea outside breakfast hours, during the day, you can grab a tea/coffee from the restaurant in a hotel next door located on left side of this one. There are also a few convenience stores around. I generally ate at Efrosino, which is 5 minutes walking if you make a right when you come out of the hotel.
The Kastaraki village is walking distance and also the Meteora rocks. Atleast two monasteries are approachable on foot. It is a quiet location and good for walking around.

Good for seeing Meteora

It was a pleasant overnight stay. Room was fine but bed wasnt the most comfortable i had slept in but had a good sleep. Shower was OK but not particularly powerful. The bed frame did make a lot of noise when i got up in the night. Breakfast had a good selection.

We booked at this hotel because the pictures led us to believe that we would see the impressive tall mountains. When we checked into the hotel, the owner man was less than friendly to us so that told a story of what was to come. He didn't even help us get our luggage to our room. Our room was looking at the parking lot and there wasn't anybody else staying on the side of the hallway that the rooms would have been facing the mountains. The room was OK, but the bed was so low to the floor that it was like I was camping. It was difficult for me to get down so lot to get into bed and it was difficult for me to stand up. The bed was about 4\" below my knees so take it from there. The next morning our private driver came to pick us up. The same owner fellow from the night before, told our driver that we booked the cheapest room and he was sort of calling us cheap-skates to our driver, which the owner didn't realize that the driver was \"our\" driver. The breakfast was an extra 8 Euro's, and it was not a good value so we refused to eat there. The breakfast was pre-made scrambled eggs and a lot of cheap bread pastries. There was literally 2 slices of cold ham that wasn't much better than bologna meat and 2 slices of cheap cheese that was supposed to be for two people. Only 1 other couple ate there. When we were leaving the owner fellow didn't even say good-bye to us even though we walked right past him, and the owner fellow was talking to our driver.

We went for the upgraded room based on the description... not worth it. You can see the mountains from the small balcony, but \"panoramic\" is a bit of an exaggeration.

Nice lobby/dining area. Friendly staff. Breakfast was OK. A really good location for exploring the monasteries.

Mosquitos were a problem, and they seemed to be coming from the bathroom floor drain. High ceilings are nice... except when you're trying to swat a mosquito at 2AM.

The room was OK my view wasn't particularly nice but my main issue was the fridge that sounded like a egg frying popping off through the night, so bad I had to put ear plugs in. The air conditioning was also no existant which with the added plastic mattress protector lead to a very uncomfortably sweaty night in autumn you may cook in summer.

The hotel is in a nice quiet location, beautifully decorated, and the view from our room was amazing. While the shower cubicle was very small, the water was hot and pressure was excellent. Our only complaint was the mattress which was incredibly hard, sagged in the middle, and made a ridiculously loud creaking noise at the slightest movement. It was very difficult to sleep on, but thankfully we were tired enough from touring the monasteries that we somehow managed to get a few hours in. Breakfast was decent, and the staff was very friendly. Overall a decent enough stay, just don’t expect a cushy bed.

We took the best room the hotel can offer and were surprised the bed was not comfortable at all, the mattress felt like sleeping on a wooden board. The toilet paper in the bathroom divided pieces reminding a public toilet and not like a hotel. Overall the view from the panoramic room is amazing! Located in a good centered area.

Beautiful, small hotel. Wonderful staff, esp. front desk, they're friendly and responsive. Views from the property were awesome. Owner/boss who was at the cafe by the street was also great. In broken English, not only did he recommend a Taverna that he likes, he even offered to drive us in his car. One small thing though, our bathroom seemed like it has a broken glass door that was not replaced. And since there was no shower curtain, water would splash on to the rest of the toilet area.

1. Slow internet access. 2. Mosquito everyway. Owner is extremely dishonest. I booked hotel with paying at hotel option. But when I arrived, he told me that Hotels.com has already charged to my credit card. I found that my card was charged more than what I am supposed to pay. When I checked out, he gave me credit card receipt. But he charged some rip-off fee which was never mentioned when I checked in and told me he would email me receipt but he failed to do it.

The bed was squeaking and creaking with every move. No matter how small a move you made, the bed frame would squeak and creak. It got really annoying that we didn't look forward to going back to the hotel after a long day out. And the shower head had green molds (?) on it. It was quite disgusting. The customer service was excellent as the front desk lady and man was very sweet and welcoming. If only they changed the bed frame and cleaned the shower head, the stay would have been great.

Checked-in and gave us a room but it wasn't cleaned (trash and other things in the room). They gave us a new room so we've seen two of the rooms at the hotel. The room and furnishing feels a bit dated. It's pretty barebone but it's not bad for the area. Lobby area is nice and staff is super friendly.

Perfect for monasteries

The hotel is in a great location, perfect for visiting the monasteries, and easy to find. The lobby was very modern and the room was spacious, clean and in good condition. Very tidy and organized hotel. The only cons was the tight and limited parking spaces (it was high season though), and a not so great smell from the air condition. I travelled a lot this summer and stayed in many Greek 3ish star hotels and I encountered this problem a few times..the air condition, especially when first turned on, has a smell of urine.
