The pool was in a picturesque area overlooking the mountains, along with breakfast in the morning with the same view. We would love to visit in the winter sometime. It would be the perfect setting for that area. Overall, a great experience.

It was the perfect place to stay while visiting the Meteora. The lady that worked afternoon and nights was super helpful. She even helped us book an extra room. She gave us all the information we needed. The men at the restaurant was lovely, we laughed every night. The view from this hotel is breathtaking. The pool was a must after climbing all monasteries during the heat wave. We would be this hotel again if we went back to Meteora.

Funky hotel in a great location

For a visit to the monasteries of Meteora, this is in a great location, with nice views of the surrounding mountains. Our room was spare, with bad mattresses and a barely functional shower. The public spaces are much nicer. The lobby bar is comfy, and the breakfast buffet was nice. If you are driving, this seems like a better choice than a hotel in town, where parking is scarce.

We came to Meteora because of the monasteries, but absolutely loved the area itself. The scenery is spectacular, serene, and had a really tranquil vibe to it. The hotel was great, the staff really special. They helped us arrange a special father’s Day dinner, custom food order prepared in the hotel kitchen and served with style and grace. Special thanks for this experience to our server Georgia and the chef Niko! Highly recommend doing the hike up to the Holy Trinity monastery from Kalampaka. It’s off the beaten path and a strenuous hike up but we found it to be the one monastery with a true monasterial atmosphere.

What a lovely little gem! The staff was so sweet and helpful. The rooms all have a beautiful view of the METEORA mountains. In the morning your serenaded by the most beautiful sounds of birds and wildlife that it’s actually breathtaking. Breakfast was meh and there is no shampoo, conditioner etc… so be prepared. But honestly they were so lovely that those things didn’t matter on our one evening stay. It’s a beautiful area and so worth the time. Bring a car it’s super remote!

In middle of nowhere, not 4 star at all

The link on hotels.com is wrong. The hotel address listed is on a private road and can not be found on google map. It took us more than an hour and asked quite a few people to finally fiund the place, which is in the middof nowhere. The bathroom and furniture are all very out dated. No body lotion is supplied. The breakfast is very basic, no fresh fruit and very little vegetables. This hotel is not meet 4 star standard. I feel it is below 3 star.

In terms of pool view this hotel is amazing! Breakfast is good, bathrooms are nice and overall a very nice place, It didn’t get a perfect score because we did find a lot of dust in the closet shelves and also the WiFi wasn’t working in rooms. That being said, it’s such a beautiful place not sure being online 24/7 is necessary. I recommend this property overall (with a car though because it is just outside the centre and the hill is steep) but views are worth it. If visit again I would stay again!

Worth time ever!

Our stay was terrible and unpleasant.
First when we received our room, we found out the toilet wasn’t cleaned from the guests before us , with brown spots on it. The sheets and the desk were dirty as well. The receptionist sent the cleaning lady and while she’s cleaning and changing the sheets, shes mumbling curses in Greek.
The pool was dirty with a lot of dead bugs.

That is not all!
At night we saw Millipedes entering our room from under the room’s door. We thought ok its one or two no big deal and we moved them out. But the nightmare was day after when i found 5 of them in my suitcase between the clothes. Because i have a phobia from insects, i started to shake and cry and we went to the reception to complain. The rude receptionist was blaming us that we brought them from our previous hotel and said there is no way they are from here! At the same time we showed him one near the reception. He started ti get angry and again curse us in Greek.
I had the worst experience ever in this hotel, i do NOT recommend it for you. It is not worth it.

Dishonest and rude staff- terrible stay

There was no WiFi, pool had dead bugs when you asked someone to sort out everyone gave same excuse of the bad weather.

WiFi due to rain, dead bugs in pool due to sun.

The staff were rude - breakfast was included and not fresh - I saw leftover out in the draws below to be bought out again next morning eg: biscuits.

Fresh orange was not included and only found out with a bill for 28 euros on check out - staff then said if we don’t pay they will call the police and that everyone knows it’s not included - only to be told by others standing behind us that they also thought it was included and not extra! The staff were so rude when they said they will call the police we agreed. Other people supported us - what a embarrassment for the hotel. I will not stay here and will ask other to avoid. It with 5 star and not with the money you pay.

This hotel has the worse service I have ever experienced. Staff are rude. They do not care abt safety or standards of service. I would read the negative reviews and book elsewhere. Lying staff who do not tell the truth, pool with dead stuff inside and wild dogs drinking water and swimming in early morning. They do not even clean. I was threatened by the staff can you believe it! only other guest staying support what i was saying... did the hotel back off. Avoid staying here

The view of the Meteora was the main draw point for the place. It has a great view of the mountains and the monasteries.
I would recommend anyone going that they drive up or rent a car/bike there as it a little distance from Meteora.

What was wonderful was the view from the hotel, can’t be beat. Breakfast was nice, plenty of variety. Not happy with room. We had a water leak from above, over the cabinet with refrigerator. We had put clothing there which got all wet. Called for maintenance never came, we’re told we would receive extra towels for us to clean/up they never came. Very disappointed in service. The best part was the young man who made the cappuccinos in the morning, his coffees made me forgot the bad stufff, Also one of the beds had a horrible mattress was like bricks. Also bathroom did not flush entirely. Truly with better rooms this hotel would be much better.

This hotel was fantastic! The staff members at Meteora Hotel were friendly and helpful when booking tours, and went above and beyond our expectations.

The Hotel was kept very clean and the view was amazing.

My family and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

It is not located in the centre town, but the hotel has its own restaurant if you don't have a car to travel around with. Otherwise it is a nit of a walk to centre town.

The view was incredible. More of a resort layout than hotel. Large comfortable lobby, great for big groups, large eat in dining area as well as dining outside facing the Meteors. Soothing and comfortable. Food prices average. Good selection for breakfast both, eggs, fruits, cereal and pastries. Rooms are sparse which is typical Greece. Really enjoyed sitting outside staring at the \"Rocks\" after a day of climbing.

Average Hotel, not handy to Restaurants

Hotel not that easy to find as there is another the same name at Kalambaka. The booking stated that we could book in at 2.00pm. We arrived at 3.30pm and told the room not ready and to leave our bags in the lobby, they would be in our rooms on return of a tour we had booked at 4.00pm. On arrival back at Hotel 9.00pm staff (who were not very welcoming/friendly) still seemed vague about our booking and baggage still in foyer. Definitely not a 4 star rating, room pretty basic. Best thing were views from reception area. Breakfast was quite satisfactory

The hotel is in a beautiful location and the rooms are basic but comfortable. The pool area is the best feature and is very nice. The restaurant is great for breakfast because it is a buffet, but I would avoid it at any other time of day. The service is extremely slow and not friendly at all. The food is ok but the service makes the experience very unpleasant. I would recommend eating in town instead.

This simply appointed hotel offers a gorgeous view of Meteora! The rooms have been recently updated and are clean. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. This hotel is about a half hour walk from the townsite of Kastraki. There is a walking path from the hotel but it is very uneven and rustic and very dark at night as the location is rural and not well lit. You can take a taxi into town for a reasonable price though. The pool and grounds are beautiful and my children loved swimming here.

Our family of four had an excellent one-night stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the food was good, and the kids loved the swimming pool. The view of the mountains is stunning. Our room was comfortable and clean though the bathtub needed new caulking. Overall, we found the stay worth the cost, and we enjoyed our visit to Meteora.

Lovely clean room. Bed not properly made on 2nd day. Waiting 10 minutes at bar ... Noone there. Asked at reception and told he'd gone downstairs and would be back shortly. Didn't bother waiting and went back to room. As hotel is out of town couldn't just pop out to a shop or a bar for drinks. As it was raining hard for our stay the hotel could have made a killing in bar but sadly didn't appear to bother. Had an evening meal. Staff didn't appear interested mor bothered about cleaning tables than new orders and again waited ages despite few guests. Wouldn't recommend. Pity because it has a lovely swimming pool and outlook in quiet area. Other fault was noise from 2 families either side but hotel can't help that. If you're going to meteora make sure you're nearer to town

Breathtaking view of Meteora

Driving for a few days in a car with manual transmission from Corfu to Athens is fun, enjoying all the beauty Greece has to offer. Meteora was one of the stops and the Meteora Hotel was the perfect stop, with one caveat: finding it.

Do book a room in this hotel but pay attention to this detail: There are at least two hotels named Meteora. Two brothers who separated and maintained the rights to the name own them. This one is in Kastraki.

Overall great facilities and room. Great view from the pool to Meteora mountains. My only complaint is the AC would not get that cold; kind of an issue with hot Greek summers.
Room had double bed and one single. Had to get two rooms for our family of 5.
Hotel is hard to find. Entrance to hotel road is not from road but parking lot from what appears to be a large restaurant. Once on the road, you think you are taking a road to some farm, until you see the hotel.
Buffet Breakfast was very good.

We arrived early evening. The Meteora had already lured us into a spell and checking in at a hotel where we could pan the entire area in front of us was even more exciting. The hotel rooms face the peaks. The hotel itself is spacious and uncluttered. We made adjustments to our reservations upon arrival and were advised with more than favourable options.

Nice!!!

The Bood: Large, clean, not so busy, very clean room, great breakfast, perfect dinner, incredible view

The Bad: Slight mildew odor in our bathroom, hotel difficult to find, inadequate signage it can benefit from adding distance marker to the signs : beware that 3 hotels in the area have the exact same name, no real address, locals may send you around...

The Ugly... None, go have a good time
