The apartment was not clean and this was the case in all rooms, after seeing the filthy kitchen cooking appliances microwave and little electric oven that sits on top of the microwave I decided this is unacceptable and even more unacceptable for the price it was for the two days I was there . Overall, the apartment we stayed in desperately needs a full update and refurbishment. In its current condition, it’s absolutely not worth the price being charged.
In saying that, we had friends staying in another apartment & their apartment was clean & everything seemed to be in orderly working condition.

We enjoyed one night stay as a family. The dishwasher didn't work and the bathroom started smelling bad after the jet bath. It's probably a sewage issue. Other than that we enjoyed walking to the snorkeling spot and Sunday market across the street.

The apartment was spacious and there was a good range of appliances and equipment. There was some evidence of wear, eg some taps were difficult to completely turn off and the spa bath nozzles needed replacing although this is scheduled to be addressed in 2025.
Also there was no means of locking the sliding door onto the balcony.
Checking in was easy but the WiFi code was not provided and it took over 2 hours before this could be sorted as reception was not staffed.
Despite this our overall stay was relaxing and the apartment was comfortable.

We were a group of 13 people visited over the Australia Day long weekend. It was an excellent experience staying at this property. Bathrooms were very clean. The swimming pool was very nice. It was heated pool and kids enjoyed it for long hours.

We had a wonderful stay recently at Nelson Bay Breeze holiday apartments. The 2 bedroom superior apartment was very nice albeit the downstairs toilet needs an upgrade. It was very spacious and very clean.
The heated pool is fantastic and the grounds are kept in immaculate condition.

Kids loved the pool and the proximity to Nelson Bay Beach.

Staff, Maria was the best!!! Maria cared to change rooms for a more appropriate room. Shower the flooding floor in the disabled unit created a large problem for all of us. We couldn’t get the air conditioner working to keep us warm. We used our overcoats to wear to bed. Very awkward when I sit up every night with medical issues. The teacups were disgraceful I cleaned then using my fingernails to get the grot off to be able to use. Apart from that the location and personal service from Maria is fabulous.

We stayed in the Townhouse apartment. Large sitting/dining area which was great. It was on the second floor, so lucky we didn’t have any knee issues! There seems to be lots of rules too, but overall, a good place to stay. The Westies club was close by, and had great cheap meals.

Great spot to stay with a family. A 10-15 minute walk to the local cafes and Marina. The only thing that was not provided that I wish was available was some milk( UHT milk) for the tea and coffee which I found strange. We only stayed 2 nights so not worth buying a full milk for such a short time.

This property was good for our family of four. Everything we needed. Aircon in the living area and both bedrooms. Great blockout blinds for sleeping in on holiday. Nice neat clean pool. Not much storage space for food in cupboards so I tried to keep them in their grocery bags. We were lucky enough to be in unit 4 and had a little grass area which was perfect fir my boys fishing gear and their fish too. I’d stay there again for sure. 👍

The staff were friendly and helpful. The suite was clean and well presented. The location is excellent with easy access by car or walking to Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay and all areas between. My only concern was that the Covid-19 declaration form promised was not emailed to us prior to our arrival despite being promised on the booking sheet and when I emailed and phoned seeking it. However the form was immediately available on arrival and it was very clear that they take Covid regulations very seriously. This is a very good place to stay and we will stay there again on our next visit.

Our apartment had a combined washer/dryer located in the kitchen. It was impossible to have this going while we were in the apartment as the noise was deafening.
We were offered a vacant room to do washing in which was OK.
Ensuite had no door and the blind in the bedroom had a gap which meant you could see into the ensuite from outside. We had to jam a stopper in the blind to cover the gap.
There was a loud water drip in a drain in the bathroom which was very noticeable at night

The apartment was clean , however the decor the cupboards the bed , everything is well worn, the room we stayed in had no electrical safety test tags on appliances, rusted light fittings in the bathroom, along with rotted wood around the bath , broken exposed switch on the kettle PowerPoint , laminating missing off all cupboard doors exposing the rotten timber, aircon remote did not work we had to use the power point to turn it on and off,

Considering I paid $1000 for 3 nights I was not impressed to be told that was all that was left. Walked into the room to a revolting, musty, mouldy smelling room. The floor was filthy, dishes looked like they have never been washed (or the drawers), bathrooms were disgusting. They were falling apart mouldy and the spa looked very unhygienic. The kitchen cupboards were falling apart and all the coating flaking off. No dishwasher or stove.
Needless to say I did not unpack and looked for somewhere else to stay, however being a busy weekend in Nelson Bay everything was fully booked so I had no other option other than to stay. Off I went to Woolworths to buy Glen 20 and cleaning products. NEVER AGAIN will I stay at this property. Definitely no resort, oh and heated pool, I don’t think so it was freezing!!

Stayed in 2 bedroom Townhouse apartment. Bedroom and main bathroom are upstairs. Main room with Queen bed was very spacious. The other bedroom was a fair bit smaller, but had two twin beds. Both rooms had air conditioning as I requested which was great. I was advised that most of the apartments do not have air con in the bedrooms so I was very happy that they were able to assign me to the one that did.

2 bedroom Townhomes. Very close to the Beaches and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Totally self-service including mandatory removal of your own trash upon departure OR a $50 additional charge. Having a Restaurant on site with a Bar is a nice Bonus as are the Happy Hour prices. The property was set in a good location, close to beaches and the marina. It was an easy walk or drive if you were feeling lazy. Unfortunately room 11 was in need of love and care with broken knobs, tables, and towel racks just to name a few things, and just a need of some general updates. Even a lick of paint would make a massive difference with many unpainted patches as things had been pulled or broken off walls. We were disappointed that our room was so run down, especially as we saw the one next door which was far better. The property wasn’t at full capacity by any means, so we wondered why we were given such a poor room. Surely you would make sure all the better apartments were rented first to ensure customer happiness and the hope of a return visit. Our apartment even had a funky smell as you walked in the door. Having said all this we would be more than happy to return if we were assured of getting a room such as the one next door.

Our two bedroom ground floor apartment was spacious and well equipped but very tired. We were disappointed, especially when informed by the manager, that we could have had one of the newly renovated apartments had we booked direct with Bay Breeze instead of online. Not happy Wotif.

The bed was old and deodorized but smelled the last two nights of a five night stay as the deodorizer wore off.
Even though the units were non smoking we could not experience the sea breeze because too many were smoking just outside their units.
The staff were friendly and helpful but the units need a better clean. Even so we hope to be back there next year.

The accommodation had lots of space but needed upgrading. Had trouble with the shower. thus potential for someone being burned as it was very difficult to adjust temperature. Mentioned this on leaving and lady in reception said she would get the plumber in.Bathroom door did not close fully and lady said they would attend to it. A good clean of furnishings and floors and a coat of paint would raise the overall rating to 5.
