Best buffet breakfast we've experienced in a long while! Loved dining on the patio and enjoying the view and happy hour in the bar. Would definitely recommend but you will need a car because there isn't much within walking distance.

We had a wonderful time at the Anchorage. Our room was towards the end of the boardwalk which gave us an amazing outlook from our room. We had great weather and wonderful sunsets.
Breakfast had everything you could dream of eating and beautifully presented.
A second comfortable chair would be really nice as dining chairs not comfortable for casual sitting [reading]. A beautiful place to chill out and enjoy the surroundings.

The facilities were disappointing for property that charge almost $1000 per night - no gym and no access to the overpriced spa unless a treatment was booked. Wanted to use the sauna and jacuzzi and was prepared to pay for that and was not allowed eventhough it was not in use.
Property looks fine but overpriced for what you get during a mid week stay. There was a large corporate function so unfortunately had to pay the full rate and was charged additional for a small upgrade. Breakfast was good and birthday chocolates were appreciated. Next time I would only stay with a Luxury Escape package, it’s much better value.

The restaurant service was appalling. The staff were good but the cooks couldn’t cope resulting in long waits between courses. In the morning we were told we only have one coffee machine so you’ll have to wait!! I like my coffee with my breakfast and not 15 minutes after I’ve finished. Shame how the kitchen fails the hotel. After such bad service on our first night we ate out rather than be disappointed.

For the price you would expect the rooms to be updated and in much better condition.The room was older and dated. This is not a cheap hotel so I expected something updated. In my opinion the cleaning of the hotel was not up to standard, though the hotel was fully booked so I know the cleaners would have been extremely busy. That being said the location was good, if you are looking for somewhere quieter. The restaurant was exceptional, both food and the service.We had a lovely dinner. The breakfast buffet was as good as any 5 star hotel. Staff were nice and friendly at this resort and restaurant.

The Anchorage is an excellent accommodation- it certainly exceeds their official four star rating. The staff are friendly, the facilities great for families, the beach is conveniently by the premise. I also loved the small touches - the complimentary watermelon at the adults only pool and the small gift at check out. I am planning on returning.

We had some issues with our booking being asked to pay an additional extra $400 to cover our 3 year old and 6 year old kids even though the room remained the same and amenities didn't change. Otherwise it's a great resort with a very premium feel.

Massive shame that the aircon in the loft suite did not work and made a shrieking noise while trying, as for summer it’s a necessity in those high rooms as they get to high 20’s in temp - made sleep under a fan only near unbearable.

The Anchorage is a fabulous place to stay and the buffet breakfast is really really good. Only downside was a very noisy air con in our room to the point we had to turn it off to be able to sleep. Service and location are perfect. I would recommend staying there.

Have always wanted to stay here and was slightly disappointed. My room choice didn’t have the view I was expecting the bed didn’t look out to view. The tv channels didn't work.
The hot food for breakfast was very dry.
The dinner was not pleasant. Entree’s were good but main was dry again.
The pool area is lovely but there was no drink service slightly uncomfortable with diners looking straight at you.
The 2nd breakfast was disturbed by workman drilling as they did repairs at 8.45 in the morning right next to veranda.

Very noisy slamming doors in hallways early in morning so not much sleep was had.
