My overall experience would have been a 3 to 4 star rating, up until I woke up in the morning, got up to go to the restroom, then upon returning to bed, discovered that I had rolled over and killed 3 small cockroaches in my sleep, which were squashed into the bed sheets! I immediately showered and left the property.

To be fair, I answered all the rating questions without letting the roaches factor into the overall rating. I can deal with A LOT of things, but the bugs were a bridge too far.

I didn't feel like waking up the manager to deal with this since it was about 6am when I left, because at that point the damage was already done. I did leave the bugs on the sheets where they'd been flattened in hopes the housekeeping staff would find them and be almost as appalled to find them as I was.

Traveled for Virginia to Chico, CA; stayed at various motels along the way. This motel is quiet, located away from busy roads and I only paid $67.00 a night. Room has an environmental unit, iron w/ board, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and blow dryer; all work. Ice machine by office and continental breakfast with many off-site locations to eat. Room was clean and had more than needed lighting; many options depending on the mood desired. This will be my first stop when I visit Chico again.

Simple no-nonsense check in and out. Property and room was clean, safe and comfortable. I can see they really wanted to provide guests with a nice place to stay. This place meet the expectations and I will return on a future trip there. FYI the rate was $75 for a Monday night and cheaper than anything else in Chico that also had great reviews.

I would not recommend staying at this Inn. The property is cute and maintained but most importantly is the rooms. Our rooms was run down, the fridge was gross and not our hair in the tub or on the floor.
I did like the 4 pillows per queen beds.

Might as well say that breakfast is NOT included..... Bananas were green, only two dry cereals and a waffle maker. And coffee, but no decaf coffee...... that's it. One of the worst I've even seen....

Ordered the big room with the jacuzzi tub and it was absolutely nasty. Had hair literally everywhere in it I had to scrub the jets myself, ran cleaner through the jets and drained it 3 times and still had hair coming out. Hair in the towels. Room was overall just dirty and nowhere worth the money. They were accommodating for the most part besides calling me 3 weeks later claiming that I took their green blanket. (Wouldn’t want to bring anything home from there with how dirty the room was). Pretty disappointed with my stay as it was 300 for 2 nights and it was so gross you couldn’t use the one amenity that sold the whole room, the tub. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone until they do a very thorough cleaning of the place.

I would definitely come back as it’s actually a motel that has been nicely updated. The breakfast had 2 things. A pancake machine and 2 choices of cereal. That’s it ! Staff was nice and friendly. When I checked in at 8 on a 100 degree day they didn’t run the air conditioner in any of the rooms it was so hot 3 hours later it was just getting to the high 70s in my room.

Appreciated the late check-in and easy check out. Simple room, white sheets clean, bed had old type bedspread on it that we removed. Bathroom faucet wasn’t clean but shower, toilet & counters clean. Later in the evening we found a small roach in the bathroom. He got away from us when trying to kill it so needless to say we didn’t sleep well. We skipped the shower & free breakfast the next morning.

Overall, the grounds of the hotel were very well kept and nice looking. Roos was pretty clean, but obviously, mopping happens and dirt residue is left on baseboards, making it look dirty.

I loved how quiet it was. It was perfectly clean.
I also so appreciate a non corporate ambiance with different art in each room.
The managers are lovely and very helpful. Its a much warmer and more personal experience that most motels provide. Bed was comfy, bath water was nice and hot!
Its my favorite place to stay in Chico! Plus, its not over priced. I think many of us are tired of being gouged when we need a place to stay. Their pricing is very reasonable.
Highly recommend it!! Great location with lovely landscaping too, and less than a mile to downtown Chico.
Perfect!!

This was a very spacious, comfortable room. I really liked how quiet the surrounding area was.
The only downside was the fact that the toilet was not tightly fastened to the floor, which created a small puddle upon flushing. Fortunately, I did not have any personal items in the bathroom.
The breakfast options were limited, but much appreciated.

It's not the nicest room I've stayed in, but it was excellent for the value.

The Inn area was blocked off with a fence, so I felt very safe. There was lots of parking, so I was able to park right next to my room. Got to check in early, and the staff was very friendly. There were a few shops and food spots nearby, so I had fun exploring around. Great location with downtown Chico only 5 mins away.

The breakfast was pretty minimal, but was better than nothing. The water pressure was great, but the shower temperature could have been hotter.

The walls were thin, so it got cold easily and you could hear traffic. The heater was very loud so I couldn't have it on while I slept, but it worked well and quickly.

Would I stay here again if I was looking to save money? Absolutely.

No hot water.

Property is in good condition. Check in went smooth. Room was clean and comfortable for the price. Unfortunately the internet was terrible. My room had no hot water in the morning. I went to front desk and asked the manager on duty if water heater was on or if there was an issue. He said he would check. I never heard back from him or anyone and I had to leave the property for my business meeting without showering.

Room was decent but smelt heavily of cigarette smoke (we did ask for a non-smoking room, too). A/C unit didn't work very well. Everything was clean it was just an outdated, run down room that needs some TLC.

Nasty

Where to start? From the bed springs poking my ribs, grey towels, water damaged laminate flooring so bad that the refrigerator door wouldn’t open, the crackhead next door making racket past 4 am, two chairs one rolling desk chair and no desk, and oh the cockroaches that scatter when the lights are turned on.

You get what you pay for

Customer service was great! Very friendly staff during check in. We asked for and iron and extra pillows during our stay and they brought the items over quickly without a fuss.

We had a carport to our room that had cigarette butts all around the doorway and debris all around; a quick sweep was needed.

The room itself was clean, but very out dated. Shower curtain rod was off the wall the night we got there, but the cleaning staff took care of it, without us asking. The lowest rating I would give is for the bed and heater unit. The bed was so uncomfortable and hard, felt like you were sleeping in the floor and the heater /ac unit was super loud and kept going off like every 5 minutes.
