First of all, staff desk people were very nice... Super kind. However, our room smelled so bad.
I know, I should have asked to be moved, but I didn't.

Beds, blankets, pillow comfortable. Very small bathroom but it worked. Great, clean pool outside. Enjoyed swimming! Breakfast was great: scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, muffins, toast, bagels, yogurt dispenser (!), waffles, juice.

The beds in our room were really comfortable. Quiet and clean pet friendly rooms. Double luggage racks were provided which is really nice. Wonderful spread for breakfast with waffles and freshly made yoghurt. I like that there were cookies and cold water available near the front desk to welcome guests. Onyx was super helpful in checking us in.

The route was poorly lit for night time check in. The water was not hot. While the staff was pleasant they were unable to give us hot water prior to our check out and offered their apologies. They should have offered a discount since on our second day we were unable to shower before our departure. I question if I would stay there again.

Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, waffles plus the normal continental grab and go stuff. The property is run down but clean. It was hard to wheel my luggage across the hallway rug because it's coming up in several places. But other than it having the run-down feeling in a few places, the staff was so kind and helpful and everything was very clean, so for the price, especially considering the yummy breakfast, excellent stay!

This was a nice place to stay . I stayed for three nights and did not have a problem. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was ok, eggs were fresh but a little too watery for my taste. Hotel is close to downtown Chico . The parking lot was big and it felt safe. I did not venture to walk because there was no sidewalk to the north on main highway. Overall my experience was good/ok and would stay here again if I ever travel back through that area. You get a free cookie at check-in desk.

Check in did go well. When I got to the front desk the agent said the room had been double booked and she could not help as I booked through a third party and I needed to call Hotels.com ( she also said that's why we prefer booking direct) So when I got to my room I called Hotels.com directly. After over an hour I finally got a live customer service agent. He said I had to pay a service fee. I explained to him I booked the reservation on my cell phone and after checking my email I could not find it so I figured it did not go through and rebooked (arrived at the hotel about an hour later) He said that didn't matter and if I didn't a service fee would have to pay the full amount on both rooms. I told him this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a manager. He then said there's none available and they're just going to say the same thing. I then said I still wanted a call back from a MGR He said no one would call back. I then told him I was going to call my bank and put the second charge on hold. He said they would charge me an additional fee and I would have to pay the full amount on the 2 rooms. I called the bank, the agent listened to what happened and said that's not the way it works . The second charge is currently on hold and induspuite. I have been a hotel.com customer for many and never had just a problem . I would appreciate someone looking into this and getting back with me. Thank You, Mark Stephenson

The rooms were run down. Pillows were small. The location was hard to find and it was next to an abandoned KMART store. The area was noisy near a freeway. The breakfast area was also run down, and the food was just ok, lots of packaged food items. The hotel needs an update. I won’t stay here again.

The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel property had plenty of grass to walk our dog. The provided breakfast was fine.

The hotel is next to a defunct Kmart and the streetlights along the private road leading to the hotel were not illuminated, which was not good at night.

Our room (109) had a buzzing/rattling noise coming from above the beds and towards the exterior wall, which we could easily hear with the air conditioner off at night. It might have been from ductwork and/or a bathroom fan from the adjacent room. We have rarely heard such noises in other mid-priced hotels.

It was a disappointing property for being a Best Western property. The toilet didn't work, the towel rack was hanging by one side, there were cigarette burns on the bedspread, the upholstery furniture and carpets were dirty and stained. The website pictures looked updated and beautiful but it was not. At least the room that we were in. We requested the sheets be changed because of stains, the mattress was stained on the sides. The staff was quick to make the changes and fix the broken items, but that should have been taken care of the by staff before we even arrived. And unfortunately, it is located in an area that made us feel unsafe and worried that our car would be vandalized or stolen during the night.

People were excellent. Place was well maintained my only issue was for some reason we had to rest both room keys because they quit working. Not at the same time but different days and we were staying for 3 nights. Not sure if computer or they didn’t program properly or what but at the end of a long day it’s irritating to have to go back and fix. They were extremely nice about it and it was quick. Definitely would stay again.

Perfect stay for the price point. We needed a place that would let us have our dog with us. Their pet fees were fair and the room was clean and had nice amenities. I would only say that the room smelled a little like a smokers room. This is probably from years past as they allow no smoking in the hotel at all. Otherwise the it was a great stay.
