A pet-friendly hotel permits pets on the property, but it is not a free-for-all. It almost always means you will pay an extra fee. But this is not the case at Motel 6
I have a cat, so I book an accessible room which gives me plenty of room to place the litter box within the large bathroom. The only drawback is in having an ensuite shower that makes the floor wet requiring wiping down the floor after taking a shower.
If you like bright lights bring your own 100 Watt LED light bulb to place in the light fixtures because the ones that are present do not provide same quality of light
The bedspread was stained and had burn holes

I love the pool is always clean, grounds are kept up they don't charge for my pets, they are very nice staff. The house keeping is great . I recommend staying when your in need of a place to stay don't want to be over charged or treated badly.
Mark
For one I wasn't even able to check in after paying a so called \"Deposit of $43.47\" on here, and instead of charging everything all at once, (Deposit and room cost) it processed the deposit online and then had me paying the rest in person at the hotel. Problem is, is that I paid using through Expedia using a virtual debit card. And didn't have any cash. Well, the hotel doesn't accept virtual debit cards. So I wasn't able to check in. Asked Expedia customer support to cancell the booking, and was told it would cost a total of 92 dollars and some change. Got charged, but the booking never got cancelled.......not a happy customer of either the hotel, nor Expedia.......

The room was large enough for me and a cat

My stay at Motel 6 in Chico was horrible from beginning to end. The room reeked of cigarette smoke the moment I walked in. The bed covers had stains, the sheets did not appear clean, and the shower was insanely dirty. Overall, the room felt neglected and unsanitary.
On top of that, the front desk staff was not helpful or accommodating when concerns were brought up. The entire experience was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. I would not recommend staying at this location.

The staff was more than just accommodating, they were sweet and extremely helpful. My only concern was how incredibly dirt and messy the state of the bed and it’s sheets were. Holy moly, blood stains, and a whole bunch of other stains rid the bed. What can I say tho, it was the cheapest place to stay. I’ll definitely not do anything last minute anymore. I highly recommend spending the few extra dollars to stay at the Hilton right next door.
A very good mistake learnt.

My stay at this motel 6 was about as expected. Though I didn’t use it, the pool area looked great. The room was as expected. Plenty of hot water in the showers. The only real negative was the noise. We could hear people’s conversations as they walked by. Loud vehicles on nearby Hwy. 99 woke us up. Not the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but it was decent.
Dannette
Clean room, close to all and the staff were very accommodating and friendly

Ok. Unusual cleaning staff. Don't go to Dennys next door, if you expect to get food!

The manager,Kumar, is very courteous and hospitable as he sets standard for his staff as well.In my experience, is definitely one of the good motel 6's.
In my opinion ,however ,
They should consider lowering the price, and align closer to their competitors in the area.

The noise from the upstairs bedroom was loud I couldn’t sleep, the smell in the room was of cigarette and urine, awful place to stay, the service from the front desk was nice

Found cockroaches in bathroom. Also the bed cover had some stains that hadn’t looked like they had been washed.
Darren
Nice staff. Bad housekeeping
Mark
This property was a little better than the typical Motel 6 because it has a nice outdoor pool, but it’s still pretty basic, which is what I expect from Motel 6. My room and the grounds were very clean and the night clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was a bit worn but everything worked and the bed was comfy. Bonus: There’s a Denny’s across the parking lot. It’s close to the highway, which made it very noisy, so don’t forget your earplugs.

Exceeded expectations! Clean and comfortable. No frills, but solid experience for good value. Staff very friendly.
Chris
Good stay overall. The property is clean and well lit. Rooms are standard size. Bed is pretty good not too hard or soft. Bathroom was clean and everything worked well. They have a pool which was also clean and with plenty of chairs, tables, umbrellas and recliners available. Staff is friendly and helpful. Area had some homeless living in cars. Right on Highway 99 but noise is okay on the none freeway side of the building (rooms 220-225).
Diana
I absolutely love the stay here! Never disappoints anf the staff is just wonderful and extremely accommodating

It was quiet, really liked the shower, good hot water, heater was quick to warm the room.

Parking outside of the door.
Shower was an absolute joke. Barely dripped. A/C did not work. Overall a run down property.

Pleasant surprise
Met by very friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable woman at front desk. For the price I was pleasantly surprised by this stay. The grounds were well kept and landscaped. Everything was clean. The room was quiet and cool. The surroundings did not feel unsafe and food was close by. Well worth the price.

Check in is a breeze if you have a reservation don't know if is the same without one. Room was clean just for a few details, my wife found some long gray hairs on the bed and the shower has soap scum marks on the wall but those are minor details, what I really don't like is the noise of the freeway, this place is oriented to it and the noise somehow is loud during the traffic hours. Good staying place.

I'm going somewhere else next time
The room smelled like a mixture of syrup and isopropyl alcohol. The bathroom was not clean. The towels were threadbare and the bed was lumpy. Also it was very noisy outside.

We stayed two different nights - one on the noisy freeway side so didn't like that. The other night was on the quiet side - much better. And it is very dog friendly.

The desk staff was very friendly. However the building is very outdated and in just poor shape. Lots of loud dogs barking in a room close and kids yelling and running. I can deal with kids nut the room left us feeling icky.

Noisy visit
The hotel is by the freeway and I could hear the traffic, it was difficult to fall asleep. The bathroom door creaked loudly and woke everyone in the middle of the night when someone went to the bathroom.

Don’t bother complaining. They won’t do anything about it. We had someone leave a screaming dog for 6 hours and when they finally came back the guy started hitting the woman he stayed with. Staff did nothing. We checked out early.

Pretty bleak
The reception staff was friendly, but… there were stains on the sheets and bed cover, sink stopper was broken, we found a couple small what I’m pretty sure were roaches running around. The upstairs neighbors were up all night keeping us awake (maybe that’s not the hotel’s fault), we woke up to a pile of “strange” trash on the ground outside our room (that didn’t get picked up all morning). A small coffee pot would have been nice - most hotels have some option for making coffee in the room. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, and I realize it was an inexpensive price so maybe I shouldn’t complain, but we felt the room was pretty bleak and rundown, and other than friendly staff, no care was taken to make this a welcoming experience.
Frank
Everything was great but the room was not clean. The shower was dirty with hair and the floors were sticky, can't really complain for a $90 room. The front office did call and check to see if i was satisfied within 20 minutes upon arrival.
Howard
The clerk sent us to a room that had not been cleaned. There wax urine in the toilet. The bed was obviously slept in. When i told the clerk, she acted as though it was an inconvenience. Then said i had to pay for a room change
Georgette
All in all, a great deal and clean place to stay.
The young lady at the desk was very helpful. After we saw our room, i asked for an additional blanket to cover the bed. The bedspread was disgustingly gross with stains. The room, bath, floors, micro, fridge and furnature and towels were all clean. The entry door needs some weather stripping though, the large gaps around the door made the room drafty and noisy. The room faced the hiway... the bed was hard as a rock and pillows were flat... oh, and they had coffee in the lobby, ice, drinks and snacks available. Dennys is right next door.
Theresa
The first room had a bottle of drugs in it and after they switch us to another room there was constant fighting and people trying to get into our room. Never staying there again
