The hot tub is old and the jets are not effective.
Ian
Free breakfast, except Sunday for some unknown reason. No real notice until they dropped a check on the table...
Karina
Had a great time with my family
Timothy
Nice room. Cool pool
Sara
For a one night stop in a pickle it’s not the worst, if we were staying longer I wouldn’t have been in love. The room smelt sweet and mildewy, there was someone smoking around us that we could smell, the shower had a nonstop drip and we woke up with bug bites.
That being said it’s conveniently located, we felt safe leaving our bulk of luggage in the car and check in/out was easy.

The room was super quiet. First hotel I didn't need to wear ear plugs to bed.

This hotel was great and so accomodating. Your front desk agents helped us setup some special (complimentary) amenities for a friend who was getting married that weekend. They assisted with printing things out, and putting a gift basket in her room as a surprise. Really great customer service! and pet friendly!
Jason
Low water pressure in the shower.
NaTasha
The staff was awesome and so nice. If we come back to Chico, we will stay here! Thank you for a nice stay.
Bethanie
The gentlemen who checked us in was extremely helpful. Please acknowledge his exemplary customer service with some appreciation and recognition. The hotel was clean and nice with a great location but he made our stay.
Darryl
My stay here was great. The only issue I had was the hours of the restaurant that’s in the hotel. If they open for lunch, that would have been nice.
Noah
The one thing I was not thrilled with was that the bed wasn’t very comfortable. The positives outweighed that one are and the pool area was nice, shaded with a decent lil hot tub. The front desk staff were top notch and very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Elizabeth
Estaba todo limpio
Robert
Location great
Becky
Staff were super nice upon check in and in the restaurant /bar area. Would not rate it a 4 star hotel, more like a 3.
HAN
not up to a regular 3-4 stars standard. insolations between rooms to rooms and wall to hall was are very bad. There were noises when people walk and open/close doors all night loong.
Manager kept intervene front desk clerk and try to show he is smarter (not necessary).
Room has mold smelling even after cleaning up.

I usually choose hampton inns by hilton. However, this time I chose a double tree and I now will choose DoubleTree over Hampton. The hampton property we stayed in was quite run down and not a friendly staff which was unusual

Stay was mediocre. Staff was mediocre.

I booked two rooms for family as we had a son graduating from Chico. I booked very early to make sure we got rooms. I was not happy with the cleanliness of the rooms that we paid TRIPLE the price for as it was graduation time. I was text by the hotel and asked how my stay was after the first night. I told them my issues: torn up rug edges, scratched up bed boards, old, saggy looking bed skirt, my mattress sagged down, lamp on bedstand had spots all over shade and needed dusting, dirt in corners of bath, something spilled on bath wall in plain site but not cleaned off, hair in tub, single ply toilet paper, water pressure not good, hall carpets and stair ways stained and smelly, and spots on tile floors. Pool had leaves and bugs floating in it (it was windy though)
and was pretty cold whereas the spa was to hot! The staff was nice and polite but will try another hotel next time. Cleanliness is SUPER important to me and I'm not a perfectionist by any means, but...

1) Near $400 for a 1 bedroom \"suite,\" at a hotel That makes you share an elevator with Housekeeping. My family and I had to wait for 3 elevator passes so Housekeeping could get their carts & gear to their destinations. The reason I mention this at all is in hospitality a price point for your accomodations typically reflects \"A Higher Level Of Guest Expectations Met,\" for overall experience and amenities offered on the property. In this case for the price of the Room, the minimum expectations would be: 1) staff NOT impeding in the OVERALL GUEST EXPERIENCE. 2) Cleanliness would be at a higher level. A) I found a used flosser from a previous guest on the bedroom carpet. B) The couch had chip remnants & looked dirty. C) Since the sofa bed is considered a sleep accomodations it should also be Cleaned. When we pulled out the matttress of the sofa bed the floor under it was filthy, & dust went flying. In the linen provided- the blanket had 4 long hairs stuck in it. I had specifically requested extra cleaning due to severe allergies and asthma for all of my family members. D) 2-4 coffee cup- 1 pkt of coffee.
At these price points staff operating systems should be unnoticed by guests, quality control needs an upgrade in Housekeeping, and rooms need refurbishing to continue operating under the Doubletrree Hilton moniker.
On the positive side, front desk and restaurant staff is kind and accommodating and late night food and breakfast was a home run!

The location was great for us while we were visiting our son. Nothing fancy but had a great nights sleep.

The Staff has truly been very friendly and helpful!
Carolyn
The restaurant on site was great. Because I did not book through Hilton, I wasn't able to get any of my preferred higher-floor options and was put on the ground floor, across from the exercise room and one door down from an exit. Makes for a noisy stay. The entry light switch had a slim light at the top that flickered and was too bright for a night light. I kept using sticky notes to try to block the light. The bed squeaked and was uncomfortable. Other than that, the stay was ok.
Mahalath
The place was great and close to Chico State.
Zachary
Great room and price will stay at again
Jenna
Great place to stay!

The breakfast was horrible
Summer
No complaints

Very clean and nice. Food in the cafe for dinnertime was pretty mediocre for the high price. My toddlers were very rambunctious and I appreciate the staff’s patience!!
Gwen
Overall it was a great stay. However, I think the staff could use some training in customer service. I pre-paid the breakfast for both days I was there. I double checked with the front desk that breakfast was pre-paid, and they said yes. At breakfast, I got a bill for the food, and they said the charge would be removed from my bill. But then a couple weeks later I saw the charge for breakfast for both days on my credit card. I called the hotel and the first thing the person answering asked was could I wait on hold. That was fine. Then when I got off hold, I explained the issue to the person, and she said she couldn't help me - only the manager could help me but the manager was away - could I call back in 30 minutes? I think she could leave a message for the manager but ok. I called back in 30 minutes, and the person at the desk asked if I could go on hold. Then when I got off hold I asked if I could speak to the manager. She transferred me to his number, but he did not pick up - I left a voicemail. Then I got impatient and called for a third time. The person at the desk asked if I could go on hold. I said no - could you please find the manager so I can get a refund? She found him and I talked to him and then he took care of the issue right away. I don't know why I had to call three times to take care of it :(
Michelle
The room was great! I loved the bed, sheets and pillows! We also loved the bar and the breakfast.
John
hot tub really hot
Kathryn
Pet-friendly and easy to find
Julian
The room was nice big and clean. The restaurant was great and the staff were all nice. Breakfast was okay, a typical buffet style hotel breakfast
William
Even though the front desk person that checked me in was training it went well and his co workers made sure everything went smoothly.
Stanley
Not what you would expect from a 4 star Hilton. Night staff was polite but not the kind that make you feel very welcomed. EV Charge was not complimentary. It's a Hilton but old.
Ed
One bath towel smelled like BO and the other smelled like a swimming pool. The shower leaked all over the floor. There's a big gap in the door so you hear everyone in the hallway and the elevator dinging all night and morning. This seems more like a 2 star hotel
Andrew
Brian was great, helpful, friendly. Made checking in a breeze, much thanks.
magnum
Clean place
Ramon
A great place to stay. As soon as I entered, the staff were friendly and welcoming. They were accommodating to my needs. The room was clean. The gym facility was great with various equipment. Great outdoor/pool area with nice ambiance lighting. Great bar area with various drinks. I would stay again.
Erik
Not a bad option in Chico. Rooms were average. They had a nice breakfast spread.
Daron
The staff were very friendly. The restaurant had descent menu choices. The room was very clean. We had a poolside view, but it was a nice quiet stay. I would definitely stay there again!
Marinda
Beautiful
Jeramy
Convenient location. Quiet. Exceptionally friendly staff from check-in to check out. Very clean. Bar and breakfast option.
Rebecca
All was wonderful, had a great time with my family by the poolside. Towels and seating were available.
Brandon
When I entered the room I found two torn edges of condom wrappers on the floor of my room which clearly showed me that the room was used but not clean properly prior to my rental. The breakfast was 24 dollars and some change per person added on to the room when me and my significant other went down to have breakfast it was a very sad excuse of a breakfast. Rock hard bacon instant eggs and watery gravy for biscuits and gravy . if it tells you anything me and her went to denny's (next door )the next morning and I had a way better breakfast experience.
