Front Desk Receptionist Ms. Erada who was on duty on 29/Jan, was one of the best staff, welcomed us, and asked us to have some rest while waiting for the room to be ready and helped us to check in early. She was very cooperative and nice and helpful. Later also she called us next day and asked if need any assistance. We really enjoyed our stay there...

Bedding and towels were so clean and comfortable. Room was supplied with everything we needed. The scale in the bathroom was a nice touch. Place is quiet, all staff are nice and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the water pressure of the the sink fossette. The shower was super powerful but the sink was very annoying. Didn't bother to complain as I was out most of the time. Oh and when you flush the toilet it splashes water on the seat so i have to rince it every time. Probably water pressure needs adjustment.
Would come back again and would recommend it if you want to comfortably pray five times in Haram.

My stay honest opinion.

Well first of the hotel was hard to located stood for hours before I could find it after series of calls to the reception whom refused to send out someone to assist since the road is blocked. The hall ways had this carpet smell and the rooms carpet were dirty. The food was good though and the location was very close to the mosque.

The hotel is in close proximity to Masjid Al Haraam and has food places in the vicinity.

The hotel is comfortable and clean however there is only 6 lifts in the building which is insufficient for the amount of people who stay at the hotel. It can take a long time to get to your room or to leave the building, especially at Salah times.

The other issue with this hotel is that you will be dropped off at a far distance with your luggage as there is no road access outside the hotel. This can be a problem if you have a large group with elderly or children.

Rahat was the person who would come round and clean our room and look after us. He was fantastic. Very polite and friendly. He would make sure that we had what we needed all the time.

Overall it is a brilliant hotel, close to the Masjid and with very polite staff in general.

Very close to the haram which is great and the staff were all very helpful. Hotels prayer room is also very nice and useful for when you can’t make it in time to make salah in the haram. However the hotel is old and our room was very unclean- fingerprints and splash marks were everywhere, the bedding was torn at the bottom, curtains are fraying, and overall looks like it hasn’t been updated in many years. Biggest issue is that they do not have a drop off/pick up area for taxis- this was an issue for us arriving to Makkah as our taxi didn’t know where to drop us off. We also had to walk far to the taxi area with all our bags to leave. Overall the hotel was fine but it definitely had some drawbacks.

Well, what can I say regarding Elaf Kinda?

Firstly, as soon as we entered the hotel room, the carpet and bathroom looked as if they haven’t been cleaned since the last stay, the bathroom stank and was wet on the ground.

The carpets looked as if they weren’t hoovered at all. I have pictures of all this as proof, they do not clean appropriately.

I have requested the rooms be cleaned not once, but on three occasions and they never came.

The mattress in one of the rooms were broken, I mean is this supposed to be a Five star hotel? The mattress are shocking and the actual rooms itself are really bad.

The rooms were never cleaned and the rubbish was taken out by ourselves, leaving them in the lobby otherwise the rooms would never be cleaned at all.

This is only a five star hotel due to its proximity to the Haram and the grand mosque. Other than that, this hotel is a complete shambles and if anything is a 1 start hotel at best.

I have stayed in Clock Towers, and other local hotels which are actual five stars and are miles better than Elaf Kinda Hotel. The only reason why I booked here, was all the other hotels were fully booked.

Please do consider this review when booking this hotel and only book if you do not care for cleanliness and service.

I strongly recommend anyone booking online to pay online or pay using cash at the hotel.

We used our card to pay at the front desk during check-in time. Next day they told us that they processed our credit card once again by mistake and we need to call our bank to get the refund. We asked them to do a refund and it will be resolved by they insisted on us calling our bank.

We were in a rush to catch our train so couldn't stay longer to discuss this.

Once we arrived home we start calling the hotel about our refund but this time they said we were never stayed at their hotel. According to them there was a booking for us which was cancelled few days before our arrival.

Now there's no option left for us other than opening a dispute with our bank to get refund of additional charges.

This whole process took number of hours of calling the bank and the hotel. On top of that the numerous calls we made to hotel's landline from Canada cost us over $70 in phone charges.

I arrived at the property to find my reservation canceled without my consent or even any email or confirmation of the cancelation. After traveling for 32 hours I was told I have no bed and was made to make a new reservation for the next day. Very horrible start to my vacation and experience.

Only wish they understand that there is a growing number of non Arab Muslims who are passionate about multiple umra visits and also stubborn on NOT learning spoken Arabic.

Sadly Elaf Kinda, like most Saudi hotels, fails miserably on that front. For time immemorial, they expect us to learn the language - when God himself has not made it compulsory or even remotely desirable. Show me one Sahih Hadith recommending Muslims to learn spoken Arabic.

Elaf Kinda spokesperson,, Wed, talks about the Saudi law requiring employing young Saudis and grooming them. Wed reasons that such a young Saudi may have tried to communicate with me when I asked earlier about the taxi drop to the hotel.

Does anyone even know that the taxi doesn't arrive at the reception? Does Elaf Kinda set this expectation with its guests?

It's this kind of callous attitude that needs to change. Or they should adopt the British Pre Indian interdependence policy of \"Indians and Dogs not allowed\"

I did try to explain to Wed that market forces find their way. Like it is happening at 10 Downing St, where UK has both an Indian and a dog at its most prestigious address.

So, it's high time Saudis take non Arabs seriously. Truly serious. And such a commitment clearly, unabashedly, emphatically and openly.

Let's see them do it

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this location. One of the primary reason I booked this hotel is due to its proximity to Masjid Al Haram and I must say that I am very pleased with that. The housekeeping staff was very courteous. They immediately assisted with our requests especially unlimited water refills. The lift sometime gets crowded but that is expected given the volume of people arrives in this city. The only drawback I have noticed is the parking availability. We could not get any of our cab to come to near the hotel but we have to walk to the street.

Amazing stay at Elaf Kinda hotel. Staff allowed an early check in at 9am which was really helpful to say we had an extremely long flight.

The hotel is located on the Al Haram grounds and is easy to get to.

Staff were great and attended to needs. Cleaner was extremely polite and always worked above and beyond however, sometimes when I had called for room service this had not been attended to. Never the less, room was spotless every-time it has been cleaned.

Overall, I would be returning to this hotel for future stays. Great family friendly hotel.

Clock tower entrance next door. Main door of hotel opens to courtyard piazza. Not to
a traffic street. Cars can't come to the door. Taxi drops off away from hotrdl entrance. No parking.

The road adjacent to the property was undergoing major repair works, which meant there was no direct access to the property. Therefore, in order to go the Haram I had to cross mud and sand.

In addition, the rooms are very small for the price they are selling you can get bigger rooms In the same vicinity.

Every single thing about this hotel was excellent!!!
Going back to Makkah and staying at the same place.
100's of restaurants, all the malls, in front of Kaabah!!!!!!!!!
Perfect location.
Best Pakistani food ever located 10 min walk.
Mcds and all major fast food chains all around me.
Best shopping for everything- you dont have to leave the area.
No taxis needed no cars needed.
So much to do in all blocks of walking

When I arrived at the hotel in the evening, i was told that my reservations is canceled. No reason was given by the manager other than, it's Expedia!

He showed their Expedia page that shows my reservations was canceled at 04:14 !!! Mind you, their check-in time starts at 04:00.

There was no other room available in the hotel.

Trip was amazing, alhamdulillah. The first time to reach the hotel entrance is bit tough. Afterwards, the access to haram was easy. The restaurants were nearby. Triple bedroom was fine but not enough spacious for three beds. After joining all the three beds then there is little space available. Most essential amenities are available and for the rest you need to call.

Rooms itself are fine but going to hotel itself is a hassle. Lot of workload on bell boys as they have to move luggage from hotel to far place for transportation and on specific timings. They are literally hitting people on the road as one guy controlling two trolleys with lot of luggage and literally stopping the trolleys by using his shoes as a break. Bell boy was rude as well. I am not going to stay in this place

The hotel cancelled my stay without notifying me, they said that hotels. Com cancelled it which was a lie. I had to look for another hotel at midnight to find a place for my family and ended up paying a very expensive rate to save the situation. They were deceitful and dishonest and caused a big financial damage to me. The matter is looked at by Hotels. Com and I'm still waiting for their reply.

If you are looking for convenient, don’t stay at Elaf kinda. If you have luggage with you there is no proper taxi or transportation drop or entrance. You will have to work around from other hotel entrance to be able to safely make to this hotel. I do not recommend this if there is any disability or you are looking for ease of transportation.

Hotel is 5 star so room was good and clean. But we were not impressed with customer service they were not accommodating to extend check out time upon kind request. Even the manager said I have to pay if you stay over 3 pm. This was very bad and stressful event for my family.

The only good thing is helpers and room service people from India, pak, Bangladesh. They were kind enough to take your luggage to help transport otherwise u were all by yourself left with no help. These are the only stars of this hotel who are poor people but with biggest heart.
This hotel is not really for elder people as there is no transportation. You have to walk or travel by 5-6 blocks with your luggage in hand to be able to get a taxi.So watch out before booking!

False advertisement, room said City View but was provided with a room facing a brick wall.
I was told by staff that the only rooms with city views are suites.
Refused a refunded, formed a complain to manager was told he would be in touch, finally found him on our last day, said he wasn’t made aware of complaint offered us free food and a suite room even though we was checking out later that day.
Our room wasn’t cleaned for our WHOLE STAY after multiple requests.
They knocked on our door at 1am on our 3rd night to clean while we was in bed.
My wife and I also suspect bed Bugs as we’ve both been bite mutiple times but no one else in our party who stayed at other hotels and spent everyday with us received no bites but I don’t know how I can prove that

The location of property is excellent and from the price point, it is great. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Nabeel, duty manager and reception staff was very accommodating is getting room a bit early and letting me stay an extra hour to facilitate my timing. The beds are a bit old and can use some updated mattress but overall I have no complaints.
