Upon arrival we were told we had missed dinner time, but they had prepared and saved some food for us! Such a kind gesture. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. Sky bar had amazing views and decently priced cocktails. All staff were pleasant and friendly.

This property was old and run down. They had huge roaches. Very loud and the beds and bedding were horrible. The buffet was terrible and limited. The location was very loud with 18 year old drunk kids running all over the place. The only three good things about this place was the staff that was great, it was across the street from the beach and the restaurant on the corner called “Tango” was good. Would not recommend.

The hotel was beyond my expectations. The sea view was amazing and wonderful to wake up to. The pool was refreshing and now crowded. The staff is very attentive whether at the pool or in the dining room. The reception desk staff were very helpful and even went above and beyond when I was in Palma to get me a taxi back to the hotel. I was initially only staying for 4 nights but enjoyed the experience so much I added on 2 more days. I will be staying here again in the future. The hotel is on the beach and very close to transportation, restaurants and shops.

This hotel is 2 stars (at best) -- it's horrible Expedia allows hotels to arbitrarily make up their own star rating without confirming. The hotel is run down and dirty. There are so many great, reasonably priced hotels on the island -- don't stay here.

Lovely hotel, especially the staff, really helpful. Our room was too small and they have upgraded for free to a better room. The only issue is if you want to chota hotel to get some rest, this is not it. The guests are mostly young and they are really loud, late nights talking on the balconies and we could not rest for the 2 weeks we've stayed there. Location is great, buses to Palma every 15 mins. Lovely food as well. The manager Manolo at reception is a great and helpful guy.

A good class hotel in a good position close to the beach.Staff very friendly and generally efficient.One thing missing from the bedroom and the computer area is a general book/booklet giving details of hotel and area facilities -in ENGLISH. Choice of food-very good,but plates could be warmed to keep food warmer for longer.

The location of the hotel is great. Breakfast was good & staff was nice. My only complaints would be; you have to pay about €5 a day to use the safe in the room and when we had the front desk call a taxi for us to the airport she did NOT tell us there is an additional €3 charge on top of the rate and supplemental fee. I asked about info on using the bus and taxi to the airport the day prior and she still neglected to let me know of that charge. The hotel room was nice with a great view. Sky bar was a nice spot to get away from the busy crowds. Bus stop is right outside the hotel and with access into Palma.

We were over run with groups of young men who were there to party hard. Naked men on balconies and around the pool, shouting and drunk. Staff were consistently polite and diligent in their jobs but this crowd were difficult to deal with. I was pushed out of the way so the young men could get on elevators, they jostled us whenever they could, where ever they could. The area the hotel is in is filthy with discarded beer cans and cigarette butts. Didn't feel safe to walk along the waterfront even. We only spoke Spanish and English and most everyone else spoke German. And we really didn't find the Germans friendly as we have in the past in Germany itself. Pretty sure most of these guys wouldn't act this way at home.

Still a good hotel

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. The first was in 2009 with friends, the second was with my wife in 2012 and this time with my wife and adult daughter. The hotel is on the promenade and close enough to hear the waves lapping on the shore.The majority of guests to this area are from Germany so most of the bars and restaurants cater for German tastes. That is one of the selling points. Germans have good taste and exacting standards so the food is always good. We opted for the breakfast and dinner option as we have done before because the range of choice on the buffet for both meals is extraordinary and one of the reasons we came back.Our room was a triple with a balcony at 90 degrees to the sea shore so we had a view of the gardens of the adjacent hotel. But the room was clean and the bathroom compact, The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water but the 1/2 bath(Like a regular bath but chopped in 1/2) under the shower was sometimes awkward for a 16 stone man to manoeuvre in.We had an issue with the aircon which we reported but to no avail so had to sleep with the balcony door open to stay cool. The area is a haven for stag and hen parties and the Germans love to sing so it gets quite noisy well into the early hours.The revellers are all good natured but loud. The beds are v.comfortable.The hotel is on the main bus route to Palma City and the airport, buses are frequent and a single is Eu 1.50 to Palma.With friends i would stay again but not as a couple.

PARKING SCAM !!!
literally only asked two questions ! Where to park our car. And what time is breakfast.

She told us anywhere there wasn’t yellow lines. That’s where we parked. And then was towed. Front staff lady couldn’t give a crap less. Main manager , older gentleman was helpful but language was difficult. When we went to pick our car up from impound it was more than 500 dollars. And surprise surprise full of tourists. Many I seen in the area. room was decent but it is a very busy hotel and they let people party in the hallways. Including urinating on the walls. Feel bad for the staff however there is a good chance one of them is getting a kick back. Will not recommend.

Me and my boyfriend were the only black couple in our hotel. It also felt like we were the only black people in the whole of Mallorca. Everyone was just breaking their Necks to look st us. Felt a little racist there because of all the Germans but besides from that we enjoyed our holiday.

Lovely modern hotel right next to the beach

Our trip to Spain was a last minute decision and The Hotel Hispania was the hotel that appealed to us. Not far from the airport and right on the beach. It is modern clean and has an impressive roof top bar. Our room was comfortable and up to date which had a well sized bathroom with a shower that kept a constant water temperature no matter what time of day you took it. It also had air conditioning a safe and fridge. We took the half board option and we really enjoyed the buffet style options. Plenty of variety in both hot and cold foods ( many hot dishes cooked to your liking right in front of you) There is a gym and spa available to use and a well kept pool with comfortable sun beds. There is also a small pool/jacuzzi on the roof top terrace. We spent most days on the beach and walked in the evening ending up on the beautiful roof top terrace for a cocktail. The prices of drinks at the hotel were just as compatible as the local bars. One thing stood out was how hard working and friendly ALL the staff were and it was consistent. Nothing was too much trouble. We travelled without children but there were plenty of couples with children and there are plenty of activities and trips to keep them entertained. I would say, this is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at in Spain. Would we go back? Absolutely. If we were to go back to Mallorca, we would check availability here first before looking anywhere else.

Perfect location for a beach holiday

The hotel itself was lovely- very clean, in good condition and looked like the pictures! It was a 30 sec walk to the sandy beach and there was restaurants and shops all around! However it did lack character and atmosphere and the beach front is very noisy at night!

It's beautiful hotel. Sea view from two terras, you can watch the sun set. Staff was very helpful , Monica helped us where to go for shopping.
All the staff was very helpful and kind.
This hotel has everything, jacuzzi spa, gym, swimming and we hired a bike from the hotel to go to Palma center 12 Kilometres and half day trip with the coach to visit the cave. 35 Euro
The only thing they should label the dessert. We didn't know what it was.
The food is great.
Definitely I will go back.

Very nice modern hotel in a very central position

Generally very good. Fantastic roof area for sunbathing during the day with jacuzzi and a peaceful bar in the evening with fantastic views over the bay and of the sunset over the mountains. Booked a double room. Was given an internal standard room initially but when we asked to change this was not a problem and we were given a double room with nice large balcony side sea view and view of pool of hotel opposite. Lovely. Food was continental varied something for everyone, buffet style, lovely salads, clean and spacious dining room not crowded at all. On day 4 of our 7 day stay we were very unfortunate to have a group of young German lads take most of the rooms on our corridor and used the area as a free for all party. The night receptionist was very good when we told him what was happening and came and restored order. One thing that was a disadvantage for me was that there are no lights on the balcony. This will not be a problem for some. It I like to sit and read in the evening. I used my phone torch and that worked fine. I would go back to this hotel and recommend it for many reasons Particularly the proximity to the beach and the roof terrace. The resort is 95 pct German but the bay is beautiful and there is a tourist bus that runs up the coast from atonal to can pastilla all day and evening so easy to get about. Great speed boat and banana boat trips from arinal and can pastillia is nice for an evening. Predominantly young German groups but we had great fun.

Great if you want to party all night , if you want to sleep then do it in the day time , German stag and hen nights in full flow until around 6a , the beds we had were like in jail I mean hard ! Great hotel overlooking the sea on Mallorca

Only about 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel to the airport. Great location for beach combing and laying in or out of the sun. Breakfast was included and was terrific with a great array of choices including desserts. And who doesn't like a breakfast with dessert. Their dinners were buffet and at 11Euro was quite the bargain. We enjoyed every meal we ate there for the 3 days we stayed.

Definitely will come back! Loved this hotel

I stayed with my wife and our 3yr old and we had a great time! We loved this place, especially the solarium in the fifth floor, we spend most of the day there. I must say that the staff pampered us all the time, the food was amazing, they make fresh smoothies every morning, and the meals are delicious.
I will definitely stay here the next time we visit Mallorca. Thank you guys for a memorable stay.

Definitly not a 4-star hotel.

First of all, not having a full supply of toiletries and even having to ask for replacement articles is not 4 star quality. And,usually, clean water glasses are provided without asking each day in hotels of 2 or 3 star ratings. Also, an in-room safe should not be an chargeable extra in a 4-star hotel.
On the positive side, the quality of the 1/2- board food and service was quite good and the roof-top bar, jacuzzi and lounge area were please and provided magnificent views and the location was perfect for long walks along the beach.

we enjoyed the stay in the hotel

The room was ok but the state of bathroom was not good. Had a problem with toilet and overal look of the bathroom was not as hotel 4stars and just refurbished 3y ago. The service in the restaurant was very good and the food was fantastic. When we arrived and checked in at 2pm room was not ready , cleaners still preparing the room .
All staff was very nice but only receptionists are speaking English .

the hotel is located in a german dominated beach area. Tons of german restaurants and beerhalls everywhere. The problem is most of them ( young, old, men and women ) like to party too much and return to the hotel drunk late at nite. I've been woken up 4 out of the 5 nites we stayed there. The windows are not sound proof, you can hear the germans laugh n sing ( something they are very fond of ) very easy during the day. This is a party area so I guess it's probably the same situation in every hotel in the area. The best thing about this hotel is that breakfast and dinner are included and both were pretty good. There's a bus station in front of the hotel to take you to Palma downtown for 1.5 euros. The beach is in front of it too n it's beautiful. We had a great time eventhough the loudness of everything going on around us there but we wouldn't return. But if you are german is totally recommended. Staff was super nice.

Staff were excelkent, smiling and friendly made us feel very welcome. Location is perfet. Good breakfast, dinner not, but its good to eat out (just not at Ocean Club) service was slow, very ignorant and miserable staff. But do go to Sea Club, foodcand service excellent! Skyline bar at hotel is perfect day or night, friendly staff and great views of beach for sunset. Would recommend for a short stay, we did 4 nights. Some other guests can be a bit noisy at night but they are on holiday and there to enjoy, it is definately not too noisy as others suggest. All in all a grrat little break.

I had gone to hotel hispania for 1 nigh with my husband &my son we are very happy the location of hotel is magnificent with side view to the sea ,the room is very clean the dinner and breakfast are very delicious and the waiters are very kind and smile all time but I prefer that in future the hotel will have room service and bell man to get our bags but in general it is a very good hotel next time when I go to malloca I will go to hispania hotel

I think this is more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. Average food and very noisey environment which was not suitable for a family holiday. Small swimming pool.

Disappointing start but ended well

Was initially disappointed as was given the wrong room that was paid for but was moved the following day. Having arrived at the hotel late was only offered a cold meat salad but no vegetarian option so I went hungry, I appreciate it was not the hotels fault but was a little annoyed as we had paid for a full evening meal.
The staff were most helpful and the sky bar was amazing and the drinks prices were very reasonable. The food was excellent and a variety to suit all tastes.

Close to the beach

Stayed at Hotel Hispania for 2 nights so we could enjoy being close to the beach. The beds leave a lot to be desired. First of all, I do not understand why all the rooms with a sea view (and maybe all the rooms in the hotel) have twin beds that are shoved together. A four star hotel should have, at the very least, a queen bed or even better a king size bed (it would fit in the room just fine). Also, the beds are way too firm, they are hard!! Makes it hard to sleep. I really think they need to upgrade the beds!!
Second of all, the elevator is extremely inadequate for the size of this hotel!! Maximum number of people in the elevator, at one time, is four, without luggage. We used the stairs as it became tiring waiting for an open elevator!
I had to ask about the password for the WiFi, it was not just given to you when you check in, as has been my experience with other hotels in the recent past. Also, you have to pay extra if you want to use the room safe. I don't use them anyway, but my past experience you just put in a pass code for the safe, no key needed, and definitely no extra charge.
This is definitely not a 4 star hotel by ANY standard!
We stayed on a Monday & Tuesday night to hopefully avoid the beach crowd noise. This is definitely no fault of the hotel, but it was pretty loud until about 3 am.

Great location just opposite the beach . good buffet specially breakfast and the variety of salads and desserts for dinner . During the end of April the Air conditioning was still OFF so the room was hot at night and when we opened the balcony door for air we could not sleep after 3 or 4 am with the constant noise from people , cars , delivery vans ...etc as the balcony was overlooking a side road used for deliveries , recycling bins etc . Another minus on this occasion was the size of the bathroom being too small ( you could not sit on the toilet properly : no room ! ) although the shower was very good and strong . also the balcony was too small : just enough space for 1 person . The WI FI does not work : it is rubbish !

Not bad, good for a cycling break

Very close to the beach and sea front. Clean hotel. Corridors and stairwells looking pretty tired. Rooms are reasonable size and clean. Bath didn't drain well and left you paddling ankle deep while showering. Food was good, but dining area was sometimes cramped and the layout makes trips to the buffet an awkward experience, where you find yourself brushing past diners trying to eat. Staff seemed a little owerwhelmed at busier times and tables were slow to be cleared and relaid for other guests.
Went for a cycling holiday and although the hotel supposedly has bike facilities these were never even mentioned to us even though we arrived with bikes. It seems that all cycling guests just store their bikes on their balconies.
Free WiFi is advertised but unless you specifically ask about it they are happy to let you carry on in ignorance of the free code. Even then the WiFi was appalling - constantly asking you to login again and a speed that wouldn't even send emails.

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Hispania, it was clean and the staff and food lovely. The hotel is mostly used by cyclists and the resort is mainly visited by German tourists. Not much for Children here I'm afraid but the cheap local buses make it easy to get around the island.

Hotel Hispania Beach 03

The long stretch of Playa de Palma is organised by numbers 01 to 13 (at least). Hotel Hispania is near beach 03, which is at the nearer end to the airport. The hotel entrance is on the side. It is on the one way road along with many other hotels. We went at off peak season and found the whole area pleasant and beautiful. The hotel staff were helpful, especially the front man - Marcelle, who speaks very good English. Waitresses in restaurant were very nice, too, with smiles. Facilities are basic to my standard although the room has plenty of storage spaces for two people. Air con is efficient and quiet (but the thermostat wasn't working and it was freezing after a while). Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Minimum toiletries provided and not replaced over four days' stay. No kettle. 2.50 euros per night for hiring safe box in room. 1 euro per hour for wifi voucher to use in room. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. Drinks to pay on top for dinner, one bottle of water costs 1.75 Euros.

Hotel was OK with good food but was let down by some room facilities not working or missing and the dining room dress code not upheld with some other guests being in T shirts and shorts.
It was also noisy from crowds of revelers passing by and also guests coming in in the early hours of the morning and banging doors to get into their room.
We would suggest a more stricter policy by the hotel management.

Stayed at the Hotel Hispania for 7 nights and had a wonderful time,nothing beats diving into the warm blue Med every day.

Hotel was in a great location, and very clean. Man at the front desk was very rude and kept helping other people While he was checking us in, and ignoring us. Food wasn't much to be desired either. As far as the service it sucked, but the location was super convenient

Amazing food

The hotel rooms were clean & comfortable with ac & a fridge. The balcony had chairs & a small table which was lovely to sit out on. The pool area was quite small but nice, that didn't matter because the beach was just across the road from the hotel. The food was amazing! It was tasty & fresh with so much choice. We did go in peak stag do season so the nights/early mornings were a little noisy from surrounding hotels. The staff are efficient but not overly friendly. I would come back to stay here

Very nice hotel close to beach close to airport

I was with my family last week it was great. Staff very very friendly very helpful, hotel very clean. Food was excellent everyday different. Hotel is just 15 min with bus from airport or to go Palma city. I have my son 2 years old with me and around hotel were to many playgrounds. Very nice family hotel quite not noise at all , I will go back again September

Hotel was situated very close to beach.

The only trouble with the holiday was the transfer bus/car did not turn up to take us to the airport. Took Expedia 25 min to answer the phone and mike at Expedia told us to catch a taxi. So Expedia owes me for the cab fare €18 . Plus your telephone system needs to be reviewed, to wait 25 min to answer a international call at my expect is not satisfactory. I require the €18 plus the cost of an international mobile phone call.
I look forward to your reply.

EXCELLANT HOTEL

What a super hotel to stay in, spotless,food excellent,reception staff extremely helpful and very kind, The rooms are a good size with great shower and toiletries, flat screen TV and lovely bright decor I stayed in room 443 with balcony. mostly Germans staying at the hotel but this was not a problem,the area was quite for start of the season April which was nice for a chill out break.The hotel is right beside the beautiful beach and promenade, you can walk safely for miles if you want.The hotel is simple to get to from the airport, use exit 4 out of the airport walk past Taxi rank and go to bus number 21 takes you to the back of hotel Hispania in about 10-15 minutes for 3 euros I will be going back to the Hotel Hispania in Sept for an other relaxing break.

Good hotel, friendly staff, good facilities

Easy access via the 21 bus from Palma airport.

Checkout time 12 noon but they have a secure facility to leave your bags so you can enjoy the beach until the last minute. We then had use of the showers and could change before making our way back to the airport.

Rooms very comfortable and cool with air conditioning.

Good hotel but some improvements...

travelled with my two younger brothers for a chill out not a party thing... we loved it at the Hispania. The hotel couldnt be in a better location, perfect. However some improvements such as hash browns for breakfast or more options for veggis (no egg, no fish etc...). Big credit to the chief as he made us a special dish for dinner which was really nice of them :)

The room we stayed in was meant to be a triplet but needs to be bit bigger not much space for storage and movement...

Finally this hotel was brilliant we defo consider staying again in the same area however would first enquiry about food for veggis...

Almost forgot, the beach is secs away from the hotel... its such a nice calm beach which made up for everything.
Thanks to all the staff at Hispania for making our stay wonderful

Good hotel nice location

Had a weeks stay here in a triple room end of July2014. We had room 435 which is on the side where the entrance is, we had a good side view of the beach.
The pool area was nice and never had trouble getting a sun bed any time of the day.
We stayed half board and and overall the food was very good lots of choice,some of the staff aren't too friendly in the restaurant would hardly get a smile from them.
The bar at the front of the hotel was excellent for food and drinks and the staff there were lovely, we spent most evenings here drinking cocktails at 4euros each people watching and playing cards.
Got the 21 bus from airport to hotel and a taxi on the return was 20euros.
Bus stop outside the hotel 1.50 each way to Palma,get the express bus as it is a lot quicker.
Would return to this hotel.

A wonderful hotel

Stayed here for two nights, hotel is right next to all the bars and restaurants. Also overlooking the sea which is a bonus. Rooms were very nicely done and very clean, staff were very helpful and friendly. Pool was good also. My only comment was im surprised they charged so much for wifi, it worked out cheaper for us to use our roaming. However, That didn't spoil a great break away

Worst of Mallorca

My husband and I spend 9 days traveling through Mallorca and we spent our last night here since we had an eary flight and wanted to be close to the hotel. First of all the area is the ugliest place on the entire island, catering to drunk 20-something's from Germany. The four star rating is undeserved, the staff are rude and unhelpful, they forgot about our wake up call and it's the only place on the island that didn't offer free internet. The decor is pretty bad and crowd unsavory. I guess we got what we paid for.

Could have been so much better

Cannot fault the position if you like the beautiful beach and clear blue sea, a minute's walk away. Not recommended if you don't like noise. Being so close to the front it is constant loud music and singing. Not double glazed so closing the windows/balcony doors doesn't help. It is in a totally German area, which is a bit disconcerting to start with but in fact was fine, they were very young (area not at all for older people or children) they may have been noisy and happy but were polite and behaved very respectfully! We asked for a move from the 1st floor to escape the noise and the man on reception was really nice and helpful. He gave us a better room on the 4th floor so that helped a bit. Again, no double glazing. BUT- and this was big but- the toilet, next to the shower, had a huge glass door and the shower an even larger glass window overlooking other rooms. Not frosted glass or blinds or anything, completely clear!!! This probably looked good as design features when they were designing it but anyone using the toilet could be seen from the living part of the room,and when having a shower could be seen by anyone on balconies around. Very uncomfortable.

The area has no nice restaurants, very touristy and fast, (mind you the sausages from the stands are great) but Palma is only a regular bus ride away so we would be happy to stay in the area again but not in the hotel.Double glazing and a bit of privacy is not much to ask for in what is advertised as a 5 star hotel

Good value for money....

Enjoyed our stay, hotel is modern & clean & yards from the beach & bars expected it to be noisy but wasn't too bad, half board meant we ate very well huge buffet style menu & very efficient good kitchen staff cooking fresh food in front of you, however they charge for drinks even water which was disappointing I wasn't even allowed a bottle of non hotel water by the pool, most guests were german some quite territorial over the pool loungers & were a bit rude, cleaning lady was friendly & did a good job however didn't lock our room door so anyone could have walked in & helped themselves to our possessions, however on the whole a good hotel for the price & only ten min from the airport / palma so convenient location

Pleasent Stay in Arenal

The Hotel is located in the \"German\" area of the Palma Beach around Shops, Bars and Restaurants. If renting a car, which was my case, sometimes it is difficult to find a parking spot. From what I could see, there is a Bus Stop 50 m away from the Hotel. Breakfast and dinner very complete. Room was clean and confortable. Extra fee charged for Wi-Fi and Room Safe.

Great place for a getaway

We had booked for 4 day break and the location was the main attraction and it did not let us down. Good staff, an impressive selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Though there are not much activities available, bus number 25, stop just outside the hotel, takes you into city in 15 mins. Overall, this hotel is a great place for a relaxing break.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super.
Das Zimmer war ziemlich alt und runtergekommen aber sauber. Finde es nicht in Ordnung das in so ein Zimmer jemand mit Kind reingesteckt wird dafür die ganzen Betrunkenen die renovierten Zimmer bekommen.
Personal war größtenteils nett.
Am Frühstück hat mir nicht gefallen, dass nicht auf Trennung von Fleisch geachtet wurde das Omelette wird in drei oder vier vorhanden Förmchen zubereitet mit dem selben Kochzubehör wurde Schinken ebenfalls verarbeitet. Ist für mich ein absolutes NO GO!
