I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit.

One of the highlights was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of fresh and delicious options.

The hotel’s location was also very convenient, with easy access to many points of interest in the area. Popular attractions, restaurants, and public transportation were all within a short distance, making it easy to explore and enjoy the surrounding area.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay, great breakfast, and excellent accessibility to local attractions

Would never stay here again. thee room I was in, across from elevator but next to staircase, the elephants came trancing down every morning, So I was woken up at 0800 every day and the hotel turns off the AC when the maids start cleaning and theen back on when the maids are done cleaning. Sometimes it’s turned back on between 1330 and as late as 1530. Bathroom looks new but the shower head was broke and it was like standing under a water fall. I notified management when I checked out. We even had a water issue, toilet didn’t flush and the shower stopped, though I can’t blame that on the hotel, they think with all the construction a line was hit. BED so uncomfortable, small bed, pillow mush, and a very small TV. The staff was helpful. Plane arrived late so stayed in Madrid first night but called. hotel to advise them of what happened and NOT to cancel my reservation aand that I would arrive the next day instead. No up grade, and no waving of the cost for the 1st night either. The person that took the call from the hotel was nice and made sure the reservation was not cancelled. Very disappointing stay. Yes in the heart of the old town, and the building is old, but hotel should spend some money and bring it into the 22nd century or reduce rates.

On offre de prendre les bagages mais placés en arriere du comptoir. Ils sont souvent sans surveillance en arriere du comptoir car celui qui y travaille fume dehors et il sort tres souvent. quand tu prends une douche c est comme si y avait pas de mur.les murs sont en carton. Le matelas descendait aussitot qu on s appuyait au mur. Il a fallu. Mettre des blocs. C est sale. Seul point positif c est poroche des choses a voirel fait de carton. J ai meme recu une plainte car je parlais video

Lovely older hotel in the old town part of Zaragoza. The room and bathroom were nice. We were comfortable, safe and enjoyed our stay. It’s a perfect location for walking the sights and very convenient for restaurants and bars. We did not have a car - I’m not sure what the parking situation would have been. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend!

Super thin towels. The sound of the toilet flushing is epic, specially in the middle of the night.
I would have commented on the city view, but, for some reason, I was given a room with the air shaft view: the rear side of other buildings. nothing pleasant.
The location is perfect.

The parking area that we were asigned was very difficult to park in.
No air conditioning in the room which required the winow to be opened.
There was very loud noise on the street each night until 1/2 in the morning.

The hotel was quite hard to find but with the aid of a Policeman we got there. The guy on reception was really helpful and advised us to look at the breakfast before paying for it. We were glad if his advise. The choice of food for €8.50 each was a joke. We went out and found food in a local cafe. The rest of the hotel suited our purpose as we were only staying one night and enjoyed looking around the City.

An absolutely no-frills hotel, which is however superbly located a few blocks from the Basilica del Pilar, right in the old town. Good bed, ok bathrooms, clean, it will serve the purpose of a short stay (2 days in my case). No safety box, and small room, but again, adequate. Not a steal, but reasonable deal for the price.

Hotel ideally situated in the centre of old town Zaragoza a few minutes walk to many bars and restaurants as well as historic buildings and the cathedral. Onsite parking was good although expensive at €20 a night. Breakfast continental was included in our stay but was basic at best. Quick improvement could be made by having better quality croissant and other ingredients. Bedroom was a little tired and had sheets with blankets - a quick improvement here would be introduce duvets. Aircon didn’t work for us not a problem in early May but summer would have been an issue. Overall good for a one night stop over.

My Mom’s (82y/o) first trip to Spain!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rio Arga. The front desk ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a little hard to get to but the location is worth it. Just follow the written instructions they send. Have them translated before leaving. GPS does help in this situation. The hotel is an older building and provides the basic needs. Our room had a frig but no kettle, which was fine. The Juliet balcony was nice to look out and see the quaint streets of Zaragoza. The bathroom was nice. Again, this hotel was simple yet provides the basics needed. Sheets are soft. Towels are a little worn but they do the job and they aren’t scratchy. My mom and I were comfortable and happy, and she’s 82, active with a bit of a back issue. I chose this place for the location and she walked easily around this particular area. It is nicely located to the Basilica. When you step out into the main street, which is steps away from the hotel, the view is incredible! Shopping is also really good. There’s a delicious churrería and lots of shops with sweets close by. I really wanted to see the palace Aljafería and it was beautiful. Reminds me of the architecture at the Alhambra in Granada! If you have car make sure to get the car size to them and get a spot reserved. The parking is tight but right on site, which is incredible given the small streets. We really enjoyed our stay in Zaragoza!

The best part of this was the attendant who went out of his way to help me navigate my car to park onsite. Driving in old town Zaragoza is very difficult with narrow streets and a lot of foot traffic. The walls are paper thin. The guy in the next room snored all night and I could hear all bathroom noises. Bed was too firm. Going with a name hotel is a better bet.

The hotel is well situated , close to all the attractions in the historic district. Room was clean. The staff at the reception were the most helpful and friendly.

This was perfect for a one night stay while travelling through Spain, however if you're looking for somewhere a little longer, the rooms are a bit pokey and small, and not soundproof. Perfectly reasonable for the purpose of travelling through Zaragoza.

Find a different hotel in Zaragoza

The AC did not work, the bed was very hard and the pillows were very flat. The hotel was very loud and the housekeeping crew started working very loudly early in the morning. There is construction near the hotel so GPS does not work to get you to the location, but they failed to put new directions on the website or in their correspondence.

The front desk staff is awesome, very friendly, and willing to help out with any request. They provided city recommendations on request, and were on point. The room lacked WiFi 95% of the stay, though the WiFi was good in the corridor as well as the lobby. The A/C also stopped working somewhere in the middle of the night… overall great location in Old Town, and sufficient for the evening.

Every hotel on our trip was excellent. However, Rio Arga staff went above and beyond when my husband's watch was left behind. They kept it at the front desk, packed it for shipping, and made sure we knew what was going on every step of the way. I can't imagine many hotels would take this kind of care. We will most definitely use this hotel when we return to Zaragoza.

We selected this place because it was close to the Basilica del Pillar. The hotel was cheap, so there is that. If you are on a budget, then you will be happy with this choice. The night shift guy was less than friendly. The parking spots were extremely small but cost 17 euros per night.

Parking a nightmare as roadworks restricted access to hotel car park! Had to park 500 yards away from hotel - couldn’t even drop luggage! No GPS available in the city! Hotel really convenient for City Centre attractions, shops, bars and restaurants! Close to Tourist Bus which was well worth a ride!

Only booked this hotel because I ticked the parking included for my search. However, I had to pay and it was off-site (albeit close). Also, stayed on a Saturday night and was at front of hotel which was noisy all night (until about 5am).

**READ BEFORE BOOKING THIS PLACE *** NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE.. 1. Air conditioning doesn't work, central air, very old unit not functioning. 2. Staff will not care about any issues. Poor client treatment, this staff needs empathy training. I was sweating in my room at 89 F and their proposed solution was to open the window? I complaint and asked for solution was ignored. 3. if you dare to reserve there, be aware they will try to charge you 25 euros per day in cash for parking, not the 15 euros as disclosed in Travelocity, you better have cash or they will give you a hard time.

It was like a hostel room, 4 cots in a small cramped room. The air conditioner was not on and we had to call the front desk to start theAC. Then in the middle of the night they turned off the air conditioner . I understand it was 12 degrees outside but at least informed the guest about midnight AC play.
