The room had everything we needed for our weekend stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is simple and easy to navigate. The popcorn machine is a nice little touch too! Those w/o disabled license plates or plaques that hang from a rearview mirror was something not monitored or abided by though. Overall our stay was great!

Nice location, close to main shopping areas and walking distance to lots of food options. Room was clean and the beds were very comfy. Our sheets were getting threadbare in places but that was minor and we had no complaints. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast offered had lots of options which was great as we both have dietary restrictions. Will recommend and will probably stay here again.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute joke. The reason why is because Expedia advertises that this is a step away to the beach. It also states that it’s a rare find to have it be a step away directly onto the beach. Completely false advertisement. This property/hotel is nowhere near the beach. We had to physically get in our car and drive a quarter mile to get to the actual beach. I demanded a refund and was told no. I was told that I should’ve checked the properties actual website for best Western. Why would I do that? If I need to go to every property website, then that defeats the purpose of the Expedia website!! COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!

Seriously good stay. Very pleased with everything and will likely stay here again on future visits to Long Beach. Check-in was a breeze. Breakfast was good; well-maintained and no pressure to rush off (might be different during a full weekend in the summer, though). Room was a good size and clean. Was a little concerned about being on the first floor, not far from the lobby, but it was quiet and we got a good night's sleep.

I gave the hotel a 4 overall. The main knock is the water smells musky and pungent like a frog pond. When you get in the enclosed area of the shower with the water on, the smell is a bit overwhelming. The water tastes the same as it smells. After one taste, we quit drinking it. I took a cup full from our room to the main desk to report it. The gal seemed surprised but had a few possible causes. Either way, she would let their maintenance person know. We were at multiple other businesses in the area and only noticed this smell in one other and it was faint there. I would expect Best Western to at least do a water test to check for bacteria, ecoli or similar.

The other issues are the lack of noise reduction from our room entrance door and barking dogs. We could easily hear anything in the hall ways. The doors slam hard and we heard the family next to us sound like they were doing a test on how many times you could slam the door in 15 minutes. We were woken up both nights of our stay by barking dogs in the hallway during the middle of the night. A “pet friendly” hotel offer will certainly affect whether we stay there or not.

Other than the water issues and noise, very friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, affordable and in the middle of town so walking distance of plenty of other things to enjoy this town.

There were so many ants all over the room. In the bathroom, on the only table next to the mirror, in the shower, on the nightstand. I woke up with multiple on me. I couldn’t use the restroom without getting them on me. When I called and complained they said they would “have somebody spray later” which

Everything was clean...BUT the bed would squeeze just to touch it! It needs to be on a platform , the mattress was fine, its the box springs! The chair was old, dirty, when you go to sit on it, it sank very uncomfortable. We actually switched room the following day, the bed was a little better but the chair was horrible again.

Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Room was small but clean Breakfast was standard fare, waffles, eggs,sausage and biscuits and gravy. Wife was disappointed as there was no pastries. There was work being done around the hotel,lost internet the first night so no TV and second day lost power for 2hrs. It didn't affect our stay too much. Toilet tank condensates water onto floor so be aware the floor will be wet around the toilet. Location was great and able to walk to most nearby amenities. Overall was a nice stay.

Friendly staff especially the breakfast room attendant. Hotel well maintained. Walking distance to almost anything. Only word of caution is this is a VERY pet friendly hotel. They tend to put those traveling with pets on the right side of the first floor. Can you guess where we stayed? Had to sleep with window open all night. Very heavy pet smell. We own a dog but this was a bit much. Next time we are back, we will request a room anywhere else.

Outdated, worn out dirty couch and springy bed. Staff was very nice and I appreciated the friendly attitudes. It was one night and I got mostly what I expected for the price. We were given keycards for a room that was already occupied. That was not great. Chose it for location and that’s about it.

Average sticks out, just another average chain hotel. Everything was clean, food offered was fresh. It's management that needs a review. I received push notifications and emails daily a week prior to check-in asking me to complete the early check in process. I arrived at 2pm day of and was expected to pay an early check in fee of $50

The early check in process is simply a way management collects personal information of their guests.

We used to love staying here but all of the things we loved about this hotel are long gone. They no longer have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, the breakfast was old/cold and gross, no bottled water in the room, and the pet fee is ridiculous ($40 per pet, per night). There are too many other places to stay in Long Beach that are just as nice (if not nicer), have great beds, and offer a cheaper pet fee ($25 per pet, per night).
We won’t be back.

I will start this by saying we have stayed in a lot of hotels recently. The room they gave us was pretty much in the lobby and eating area, so it was incredibly noisy. When I asked for a different room that was further away, I was told there were no other king rooms available. The beds were very hard ( I finally fell asleep at about 4 AM.) and the breakfast was not very good. I tried the scrambled eggs, and they were kind of wet. There was water in the chafing dish. The bacon seem like microwave, bacon, and the biscuits and gravy were definitely not fresh. They seem to start working on laundry a good hour before we checked out. We were right across the hall from it and it was ridiculously noisy.

Great location and really easy walk to the Marsh Museum, elephant ears shop and plenty of selection for restaurants and family fun center. Super clean hotel and very tidy rooms. Breakfast had amazing options to choose from. Down side...the mattresses could use some updating. Coming from someone with a bad back, the beds did nothing for comfort for myself or for my family with good backs. Other then that, it was a great stay. Would definitely stay there again even with creeky and squeaky coils beds

There are only 2 items I feel compelled to discuss. One thing is there are no view rooms in the hotel, I was highly dissapointed. And my second concern is the TOILET PAPER! The toilet paper is completely unacceptable.......the worst paper ever! Best Western needs to step up and buy some decent toilet paper. Thank You.

We enjoyed the pleasant and cheerful staff at Best Western, and breakfast that provided energy for our day.
Though, we did find the room had some cleanliness issues. The floor had stray, long, black hairs on some surfaces, and dust layers on others. No WiFi service at the hotel during our 4-day stay was unfortunate.
The Jeep parades on Long Beach were most entertaining, and restaurants within walking distance most appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Long Beach!

We were placed at the room right next to the front office reception, breakfast area, and in front of the elevators. This room should be majorly discounted for the inconvenience, noise level, and disregard for the occupants of this room. Very disappointing, as the owners of the facility need to make money on this room that should be a closet or storage area as it's adjoining to the breakfast room for the entire facility. Will not be back!
