Dated room that is in serious need of a higher level of maintenance and upkeep.
The floors were filthy, our feet were black after walking barefoot in the room for an hour. A lot of pet hair around the room that got on all our clothes. Bed linens were clean but worn and actually torn in three different places. The light fixture over the shower turned on and off by itself, obviously a short of some kind. Ceiling fan hasn't been cleaned in ages, same for the bathroom fan.
Overall a very disappointing experience. Cannot recommend these cottages.

Not only was the cottage spotlessly clean, it was well stocked to make your stay there comfortable and inviting. The fireplace was very efficient in warming the cottage and looked great, too. The bath products were wonderful, comfortable robes were provided and the shower was excellent. Dogs are very welcome and the front porch was generous in size. My dog loved sitting out there viewing the area. I liked being able to park right in front of the cottage. It was also wonderful having food and drink options at the property.

I loved the location, so close to beach, restaurants,movies and coffee. The cafe served delicious pastries and cookies which was wonderful for an afternoon treat or morning start. It is a pet friendly location, but even so, no loud dogs barking and the room was clean and no evidence of prior pets. Also parking right outside the room. If you need a pet friendly location close to all that Longbeach Wa.has to offer, this is a good choice. The rooms are small and I would have liked a coffee maker in the room, but ultimately it was what a good fit for a two day get away with my pet.

Very nice property, but don't fool yourself with the name. They are along the main road and not near the boardwalk.

The studio room was nice, but very small. Light outside the room was right next to the window, which only had shutters that didn't block the light very well. At 5am, the room was light. They should had curtains inside to block the light more if you are a light sleeper. They also had ear plugs on the side tables...I guess the walls are thin, but we didn't have any issues.

Very convenient location to all the downtown restaurants and shops. If I was to stay here again, I'd get the larger room.

We found the cottage very rustic and quaint. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. Horseback riding on the beach was wonderful. Unfortunately it was very rainy and cold while we were there.

Enjoyed the in room fireplace, bathtub and bathrobes. Clean and with good amenities- fridge, microwave, electric kettle, drink wear, utensils and plates. Nice amenities like barrel sauna, complimentary bikes and access to sister property pool/sauna. Walkable distance to shops and beach. Current coffee shop/bakery part of hotel and had good selection of food/drinks

Jenny at the front reception was excellent - warm and welcoming and full of great info too!
We loved the fireplace in room and the space in generally - so close to everything and a lovely 2 -3 block walk to the beach!
Cute kitchen - we cooked a eal there and had everything we needed.
The deep tub would be great for baths but was scratched up which wasn't as inviting.

Cottage #4 (2 bedroom w/bunks) had a very squeaky bed frame, any time you move it was loud. Porch lights stayed on and was bright inside. Fairly clean. Good location to downtown and boardwalk.

It looks cute at a glance. The condition of the cottage is in need of repair. The floor is giving away, there appears to be water damage and a lot of sloping. The paint colors, theme, and decor are cute, but the place is falling apart. The staff were nice and the cafe was as well. Wouldn’t stay here again, but we made the best of it.

Great spot! Clean rooms & nice atmosphere. Great pool. Nice to have mini kitchen. Nice lil spot. Check-in gal at Adrift wasn't super friendly but we’ve stayed there a ton & know that’s a one-off. Bed was too stiff & pillows too soft. Our tub took so long to fill that we eventually gave up. Paid for the upgraded jacuzzi room for nothing.

Paid for queen bed got a full for two large people. We had two reservations. One king and the next day one queen Was told we could keep the first room we rented which was a king.l for the 2nd day. We are two seniors who were at the end of the trail at cape disappointment light house when they changed their mind and demanded we hike all the way back to remove our stuff from the original unit.then after we were asleep they woke us up and demanded we move our van as we over in our tiny parking spot. Then after we moved allowed a pickup to to park in front of our cottage and his. You couldn’t pay me to stay here ever again!!!!

I stayed in the suite with kitchenette, and it had everything you need to make a meal, but also a very short walk to restaurants and shopping, as well as the beach. The fireplace in the room was great for the stormy weather days, the room was very clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

The room was wonderful (room 7), but the large gaps in the sliding bathroom door and the shutters on the front side of the bathroom are not good for typical privacy concerns anyone has about being in a bathroom. The fan works well.

Stayed in cottage #1. Overall this is a poorly constructed building. The finishes are done very poorly. The layout is awkward and uncomfortable. There’s no room to get into/around the bed. The bathroom is very cramped. The toilet is behind the bathroom door in a very tight spot. The exterior door did not seal well. It both let in a lot of cold air and it didn’t feel safe/secure. The food was very mediocre for the price. I would not return.

We enjoyed this stay at Long Beach. We were in a 2 bedroom cottage. It was very small but we weren't in the cottage very much. The cottages are located in a good area with easy access to everything. There is a nice coffee shop next door owned by the same company that we enjoyed.

They parked a large diesel trailer generator right outside my door on a Saturday. Tried to enjoy cooler weather with the windows and door open. The exhaust smoke came into my room setting off the fire alarm. Let the manager know he took the fire alarm and said he’ll bring it back later. Because of the fumes had to leave till they shut the generator off which was the full day Saturday. Had to air the room out after the work was done next door. They never brought the fire alarm back. Never said it’s clear, never offered money off knew that it was a major event weekend and there would be no other places to go.

Good- The unit was clean. The two bedrooms worked great for us with kids on the bunk bed. Close to the beach and downtown Long Beach.

Not Good - Definitely shows some pet wear. The TV didn't work in the 2 bedroom suite, but that wasn't why we were there.

I was very pleased as a lone traveler to be received w kindness and respect. I received the free drink in the morning as I was checking out. The room was clean and prefect in every way as well as quiet. Other guest were friendly. The stay was exactly what I was looking for and affordable. I will return to this property in the future.

I was very disappointed with the extra "incidental fees" i was had to pay. This was the reason for the low scoring in certain categories. The property blamed Travelocity for the miscommunication. When a customer shops for a vacation rental, they should get an "out the door" quote. No one like surprise charges for unexplained services. I am not recommending this property.

Our beach cottage was one of about 10 right off the main road through Long Beach. The larger building where we checked in had a gift shop,bar and a restaurant with delicious breakfast offerings. We were also given pool privileges at the adrift hotel which was a 10 minute walk towards the beach. We didn’t end up going there but it was nice that it was an option. The staff was amazing, friendly and flexible. We were delayed getting back to our cottage for check out but they were understanding!
We had a nice little kitchenette, a pull out twin bed, a TV with enabled screen casting, robes, a fireplace and parking spot right outside the front door or the cottage. Would recommend!

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The accommodation was clean, quiet, and conveniently located near souvenir shops, which made it very comfortable for us.

However, I would like to share one point of disappointment. On the day after check-in, we inquired at the front desk about the possibility of moving to a larger room for greater comfort. The staff informed us that a larger room would be available, and that we could move on August 12. Unfortunately, when we approached the front desk on August 12 to confirm the move, we were told that the room was no longer available. This left us feeling quite disappointed, as we had been given assurance earlier that the room would be held for us.

That being said, we still appreciate the overall service, cleanliness, and housekeeping provided throughout our stay.

Overall, great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and cool. The beach was really close by which was convenient and fun for the kids. We would def get the bigger cottage if staying for a longer period of time just because it was a little cramped but did well for one night. Only negative I have is the shwr curtain didn't really protect the floors well from water damage and you would flood the bathroom everytime a shower was taken, especially with kids.

Don't assume air conditioning in this town. Understandably, it was an exceptional hot day, but a mini split or at least ceiling fans would be nice. Most of the town was shut down by 7pm, maybe because it was Sunday. Bed is overly soft. Shower stall is tiny. Walkable to the beach for some, but we needed to drive. Floors, door frames, furniture are pretty dirty. Some loud pets in other cottages. Overall, funky old cottage smell. Staff were super friendly. The restaurant area at check in seemed nice. Town has some charm but not for all. An actual boardwalk is non existent for the time being. Quite surprised at the high ranking reviews that we based our stay upon.

Bed too tall, parking awkward, tv in room, but only accessible if you have the right phone and lots of apps. No mention of this anywhere, except on the tv. Fees for using soap and shampoo. Fees after departure, again, not mentioned anywhere. Very limited seating, not designed for comfort. If you're an older person, don't expect to fit in at the cafe. Checkout was offered online. Checkout process denied online. Checked out at cafe, staff said I didn't have to come in. Website said I did. No concern, no apology, just walk away. Cottages are cute, bathrooms designed for skinny people. Lessons learned.

Run down and noisy

At check in, the staff were not welcoming and the front desk was blocked by boxes of paper towels. We had to climb over the boxes to reach the counter with the credit card machine.

The property is worn down and unkempt. The building's exterior and interior had chipped paint, damaged walls, and visible dirt.

The walls were very thin, and all noise from the exterior (people's conversations, cars driving in the parking lot, and dogs barking) could be heard from inside the building.

The amenities were lacking (bikes but no helmets, games missing pieces, and the pool was an 8-minute walk away).

The bed was very uncomfortable, and the rooms were stuffy. Opening the windows resulting in insects coming in through the holes in the screens. There was visible mold in the bathroom from lack of ventilation.

Description didn’t mention stairs, which would have been important to know about. Gravel lot and hard to close doors ensures we heard everyone coming and going.
Staff were friendly. Place was clean enough (although a previous guest left a coin near the bath tub that didn’t get cleaned up). Bed was comfortable. Would have liked a coffee maker instead of the bags. It was a good stay. Central and easy to walk places.

We had such a wonderful stay at Boardwalk Cottages in Long Beach! The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed — from kitchen essentials to extra towels. It had that perfect blend of charm and modern touches that made it feel both homey and special.

Above and Beyond!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I was already going to give 5 (loved the set up, separate bedrooms, very comfortable beds, great amenities either on-site or nearby at The Adrift), but then I got home and couldn't find my (fairly expensive) headphones. We're 2 and a half hours away, so I called and Hannah not only checked and found them (the ONE time I didn't check under the bed), she wrapped them up and mailed them to me! We will definitely be staying there any time we go to Long Beach.

We got one of the renovated rooms and it was beautiful and comfortable. The living room furntiure was definitely more for style than comfort but luckily we weren't there much. They need longer shower curtains. The curtain didn't cover the edge of the bath so we had to mop up tons of water after each shower.
