This it and old property but it is annoying that you have to keep inserting a card inside the room to get electricity in lights and appliances including a/c. Once you left the room they disconnect the A/C without let you know. It’s a rule the property use “to pay less for power services “. You have to ask them to turn on again.

The hotel is a bus ride away from the city center, so it’s very convenient when you need free parking in the city. Our bedroom had a roof leak but the room was comfortable.

The hotel was clean, basic, comfortable and well placed for visiting San Sebastián. It took about half an hour to walk into town. The bus service was cheap and efficient.

Comfortable and clean hotel. Free parking is a bonus as San Sebastian doesn't seem to have many parking spaces. Friendly reception and quick check in. Room was clean and comfortable. Never a 1 star hotel. 3 star would be right. Good transport links into the city centre with numerous bus options right outside.

We mainly chose this location because it had on-site parking, so it's off the beaten path. It was adequate. I did think it was odd that I had to provide my room number in order to be provided two glasses for wine.

good connection to old town and good price
We stayed for 2 nights choose here as it was cheaper then staying in old town and with bus stop right out front it was only 7min into old town and cost €1.70 each which run every 5 min. Quite and safe area even though on a main road. Great strong. water pressure in shower , we had a good size balcony, rooms a bit outdated but comfortable enough. No kettle but small bar fridge. Lady at reception was helpful with directions and spoke English and added bonus of free onsite parking and lift. Air conditioning in room worked well just ask reception to adjust it to the temperature you require. cant comment on breakfast as we didn’t try. Can walk to a beach within about 15min. Overall happy with the hotel, cost and location.

This place is pretty small, but convenient to get to and at a good price. it was easy to hop on the bus and get to the beach and city center. The desk attendants were brief and didn't often look up to greet us when we came in, but they always answered all our questions and got us what we needed.

Main problem was constant traffic noise from main dual carriageway outside......OK when doors/windows closed but bad when open.....& it goes on all night. The other main problem was the lack of a lounge or anywhere to sit other than in your small room - fine if you are out all day in good weather but if like us you had a lot of rain then it could be problematic. We were staying overnight, and the reviews suggested that the hotel was fine for our needs. However when we arrived there was no bar, breakfast facility , nothing but the room itself and a coffee machine. We had to go into the town to get a drink, which was a twenty minute walk at least. Although we were aware of the distance from the town we had no idea until we arrived that the restaurant/cafeteria was not available. The room was very nice but certainly not worth the money we paid considering th lack of facilities.

We stayed at Hotel Monte Ulia in January 2018 and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. It is very reasonably priced, offers free parking and the staff were very friendly towards our dog Oscar! The hotel smelt very nice and seemed well cared for. If you're worried about the hotel being far away from the old town, you needn't be. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel entrance, with a regular bus that will take you to the old town in just 5 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk it in 20 minutes and its a pleasant walk. Monte Ulia is in a lovely neighbourhood, which given more time, we would have explored. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will back in the future.

If you are coming here by car, slow waaaaay down when you are about 100 meters/yards out. The sign is behind some trees and we missed it even on subsequent occasions when we knew darned well it was coming up - it's that hard to pinpoint among the other driveways, and you only get one chance. Luckily, there is a back entrance up the mountain a bit.
Other than that, it is very well located on the #13 bus line, among others - just 10 minutes from Old Town. The bus runs every 5-10 minutes most of the time and you can buy a tourist card with 12 trips for €16, which includes discounts to museums and the like; otherwise, it is €1.70 per bus ride. Both options are much cheaper and easier than trying to park in the center.

We had stayed at this hotel a few years back, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the renovations! The rooms are now modern and much more welcoming. They gave us a corner room facing the street on the top floor, which we loved! Gave us a nice breeze when we opened the windows, and the sound of the street did not bother us at all. The only downside was that the wifi was a bit spotty in our room. It's about a 35 minute walk to the old town, which was a great way to exercise before eating all those pintxos! I definitely would recommend this hotel!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a clean practical relatively inexpensive hotel this is a good place. If you are looking a romantic hotel or one with charm this is not it. The breakfast is Ok but uninspired. We only ate there twice during our stay. We prefered to go into town.

Parking, close to the city, street car noise
If you have a car, this hotel has parking in the back, which is a great advantage in San Sebastian. Difficult to park in the city itself. The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the city center and very easy to find on a straight big street leading right into town. It would have been nice to have breakfast included because there is nothing in the vicinity. Also, beware that the road is busy and noisy. Windows face the street directly, so the room is noisy. Other than that, clean room and comfy bed.

Really enjoyed the trip to San Sebastian. Hotel was ideally located, about a 15 minute walk into the centre. Two lovely beaches there. Plenty to see and do. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Modern hotel, but not in city center
A relatively modern hotel located somewhat out of the center of San Sebastien. Regular bus schedule into town but no restaurants, cafes or bars in easy walking distance, except ironically a famous Michelin three star restaurant. Internet connection was inconsistent. Free parking on the premises.

This place wasn't extremely close to the main part of town, but for it's price along with free parking, I would recommend it. It was an 8€ taxi ride into the old town, and the woman at the desk was helpful and called us one. The bathroom and shower was super small but clean and did the job. Not bad for the price.

Basic comfort with a few hiccups
We had stayed at this hotel a few years back, and our stay was perfect. We had enjoyed the fact that it was only a 20 minute Walk to the city, and was cheaper than other hotels there. That walk was very enjoyable actually, and we always felt safe. This time, it left us saying we would probably not come back to this hotel next time. The hotel itself is rather comfortable, but nothing fancy. The mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was fine but a tad bit small for my 6\"5 husband. People at these reception were kind. Two things that left us unsatisfied: 1. The internet was not working consistently, and on one night, it just did not work. 2. Our room door did not lock. They said they would come and fix it in the morning. We got back to our hotel room around 10pm, and the door was unlocked. We were lucky that nothing was stolen.

Overall, the hotel was 'ok'. When checking prices of other hotels (en-suite rooms), this seemed at the cheaper end.

On the negative side. My biggest disappointment was the shower. It was too small. I was unable to bend my arms without hitting the plastic shower sides. (I'm not the largest person you could ever meet). I also found the single bed too narrow and hard.

Wonderful breakfast
Although the facilities need some touch up, we found out surprisingly well equipped for 1 star hotel. We even had slippers in the room. Breakfast was very fresh with hot food and some choices: fruits, yogurt, and freshly baked breads.

El personal y la limpieza fueron correctos y el hecho de tener aparcamiento es algo positivo, pero la relación calidad-precio deja mucho que desear, ya que cobran como hoteles de 3 y 4 estrellas siendo de 1.

Far out from the center, so be prepared to walk, take public transport of look for parking in town. Personnel was not helpful and seemed to be bothered when asked about recommendations. Room was small, dark and uncomfortable, with dust bunnies under the bed and furniture. We were bit by insects and had the feeling we were staying at a cheap youth hostel. The only breakfast option apart from the one offered by the hotel in the dark basement is a small bakery (nice lady but bad quality bread and bitter coffee). Only perk was free parking. For this price, and location, you can certainly find better options in Donostia.
