Great location right on Playa Zurriola. not central but a very pleasant seaside walk gets to the old town in about 10~15 minutes.
My room was great, but had some missing baseboards and some pieces of the flooring had separated and collected some junk in the cracks. Hardly a fatal flaw.

Loved the location near the beach, such a beautiful place to see when you walk out thr door in the morning. The hotel staff can be loud in the morning, waking me up most days but overall, for the money, it was great value, comfortable (no frills) and I would happily stay there again.

This property should be getting at least 4/5 stars. The one staff member I met was friendly, and the property itself is nice, clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately, at 2am the fire alarm activated. This is not a problem for me, whether it was a malfunction or not. What is concerning is that there was no staff around at all! If there had been a real fire, how would the emergency services know how many people are left in the building? I’m not sure if this is common for the hotel staff to leave the building unattended, but it is very dangerous and I suspect it violates many safety codes. I did get an apology the day after, but still unacceptable.

A warm welcome at this small hotel.

A lovely view across Gros bay from this seafront hotel . Our host in reception gave great local advice for bars and pinxos, as well as some handy basque phrases to use. The seaview room was modern and on dual levels (step up to seating / seaview window) and light was maximised by the use of an opaque glass enclosure around the shower / toilet room. We enjoyed the walk around the bay to reach the old town, aquarium & marina areas.
Staff were helpful and warm throughout our stay and were a credit to the hotel.

I loved this hotel but it was not clear when I booked that the room was interior and had no windows. I would love to come back and stay in the room I was hoping for. There was an issue with the drain in my shower and no hot water so washing my hair after a day at the beach was challenging but I loved being so close to the beach, everything was very clean, and the staff were great.

The staff were very kind.

Unfortunately, there was a bug infestation in our room. We woke up the on the second morning of our stay to about 50 small insects with wings crawling around the ceiling, on the windows, and a couple of them living in our bed. Not the most romantic for a couples' getaway.

We stayed for a total of five nights, and the sheets were not changed once - despite us asking explicitly the last three nights to have them changed.

The shower door was misfit, which would make water puddle up on the bathroom floor. They only replaced the towels once, and one was always needed to soak up the water on the floor.

The pictures make the room look much bigger than it is. There is not enough space for a couple to shower together, let alone stand up without constantly feeling in the way of each other.

Loved our stay here! Andrea checked us in and gave a terrific run down of San Sebastián, provided a map, a list of things to do and see and some history. Her service was impeccable! The best service we’ve had in our Europe trip so far. The views are unmatched and much prefer staying at nearby beach than the big main one due to the unbeatable sunset and waves on the beach. I would absolutely stay there again. It’s a 15/20 minute walk into old town but we preferred that due to a nice stroll home after delicious food. The cafes downstairs were great so easy to get a coffee in the morning.

During autumn, you can see that it is located a bit far away from

Incredible stay!

We went to San Sebastian for a couple days during our honeymoon and had an amazing stay at Punta Monpas. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations, the breakfast was amazing, and view out the window was beautiful! The hotel was really close to the beach - perfect spot to watch the sunset. I was also pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get around to different parts of the city from the hotel. We walked almost everywhere. There were also plenty of bars and restaurants right next to the hotel if we wanted to stay closeby. Highly recommend!

Hotel Punta Monpas is a tiny hotel at the far end of Zurriola beach which is the second and smaller of the two beaches in San Sebastian. The room was oddly shaped (long and thin) and felt cramped, the \"view\" was from a narrow window above the bed post that you had to climb over the bed to look through. Our room was street level so not much of a view but I was told by the staff that the view from the second floor rooms is much nicer. Breakfast was very nice with many choices of cold cuts eggs etc. but what made our stay most enjoyable was Marielda the reception staff for two of the three days that we were there. She was a wonderfully friendly person, very helpful with great suggestions who really made us feel at home. She recommended a day trip to Hondarribia and from there to Hendaye (actually inside France) which ended up being one of the highlights of our stay.

Andrea at reception was super friendly and helpful, she quickly advised us where to park, where to go, what to do and where to eat. The breakfast provided was very good.
The room was on the small side but comfortable, the air conditioner worked but only in one setting... very cold, so we used it sporadically.
San Sebastián is beautiful so all in all it was a pleasant stay.

Location, location, location.....and STAFF!!!!! The folks who run this place could not possibly be nicer or more helpful. I can honestly say we had a BETTER vacation because of the attitude, inside tips, and help that the office provided. I don't travel overseas often and am intimidated by the language barrier a bit, but I can say this was the best vacation hotel I've ever stayed at. The people are THAT great. Oh, and the location? the surf break is literally across the parking lot. Food? walk about 1-10 min and go crazy. San Sebastian is amazing!

Perfect Laid Back Ocean Breeze Stay

Perfect location and beautiful sea views if you pick the right room. The friendly hosts gave great reccomendations for places to eat and visit. When traveling back to San Sebastian, we will definitely be staying here again. Good value, service, and location. If you are looking for a laid back vibe that immediately puts you at ease and makes you truly realize you are on vacation, this is the place for you.

Andrea at reception is Punta Monpas' biggest asset

Firstly, we chose Punta Monpas after a recommendation from friends who had stayed here recently.
From the time we arrived Punta Monpas was welcoming.
Andrea at reception was a wealth of information and was able to direct us to important sight seeing locations, her favourite restaurants and bars, pintxos locations etc.
We nearly ticked them all off the list and I must say Andrea was spot on with all her suggestions.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone..

Perfect value in San Sebastian; Great staff!

Loved this hotel! First off, the staff was amazingly friendly. They were so welcoming and explained to us things to do around the area, where to eat, helped us with parking, etc. They were smiling and courteous and made us feel welcome. Frankly, this was what made the stay so pleasant. Second, the room was great. The shower, toilet area, bedding, fllooring, etc was all clean and new. I didn't feel it was in need of any updating and kind of looked like a bedroom/bath straight out of Ikea.

Then location was awesome. The photos I attached are of our hotel, then across the la Concha Bay. Great views and great location next to the beaches. The parking is parking in the street. park in the blue lines, then pay the automatic parking. The hotel staff will load up the parking meter for you all day and then bill it to your hotel bill. the b-fast was perfect! cheeses, pate's, fresh fruits, sweets, pastries, jucies, etc.

A bit pricey for a basic hotel

Located at the far end of the Zurriola surfing beach, this is a low rise building with fairly simple and basic rooms. We found the room to be stuffy and unventilated. The room was sold on the strength of a sea view but this proved to be disappointing - the window was narrow and difficult to access as behind the bed, and the room overlooked the car park and a large marquee (which completely obscured any view of the sea). The walls were thin and there was loud music coming from the room next door. The hotel appeared to be of a moderate 2 star quality yet the price was way above what I normally pay for such a room.

Good hotel close to Gran Via and shopping district

A bad experience with the check in. We arrived at the hotel around 7 PM when the hotel staff was on a call for another booking. He was so engrossed in the conversation that he didn't notice that there were several people queued up. It was a good 15 minutes before he hung up and we completed our check in. On our arrival at the room we noticed that the keys were not working and I had to make a couple of trips before it was sorted. Breakfast was ok. The only saving grace was the location to the Gran Via. However our room was facing out to the church which kept chiming at the hour - quite annoying when one wants to get some sleep. Would go for better hotel the next time

Nice but far from Old Town

Nice stay but a bit far to walk to the Old Town. Going surfing is perfect if you are a surfer, since the surfer beach is very close. Friendly staff. Decent room. Parking is unavailable unless you are the one person that can get the hotel's one parking spot. Otherwise the closest is pay parking about 6 blocks away.

The location is good if you don't want to be totally in the center of old town, which I really liked. The rooms are really really small. Bathrooms are separated by a glass wall. The soap and shampoo are the same and come out of a pump in the wall so not very nice. The rooms on the first floor look mostly at the parking lot and you can see the sea. Since the reception is only down the hallway it's very loud when they're talking to other guests. Recommended for the value but it needs some love! At least better lighting in the breakfast room.

Awesome Little Hotel in a Non-Touristy Area

If you are staying in San Sebastian, stay here! Great prices, the rooms are clean and the staff is really professional. It's like having a hotel concierge from a 4-5 star hotel. On one stormy evening, they brought us a bottle of red wine and chocolates. How awesome is that?!

Nice location near in a lovely city

The hotel is all the way at the north east end of San Sebastian. It's about a 15 minute walk to the old city and a little further to the famous La Concha Beach. The block that the hotel is on has some good bars and it's very close to the surfer beach, but other than that it's a pretty quite part of San Sebastian. Still, the exciting stuff is a short walk away.

The hotel itself is quite nice, with a modern feel. The staff is very helpful and incredibly nice.

One potential issue is that the bathrooms in the hotel room are stained glass only, and very thinly stained glass at that (at least in the one bedroom). If you are sharing a room, make sure that if you are very comfortable with the person you are sharing the room with as there isn't really any privacy in the bathroom.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal!

Leider wurde uns in der Altstadt die Geldbörse mit Ausweis, Führerschein, Kreditkarte, usw. gestohlen und wir sind dann bereits 2 Tage früher abgereist!

Das Personal war mehr als bestrebt uns weiter zu helfen!
Dafür bedanken wir uns hier nochmals ausdrücklich.

Le stationnement est très compliqué.

Direct aan het strand in San Sebastián. Niet middenin de stad maar er net iets buiten. Centrum op 10 minuten lopen, oude centrum op 20 minuten lopen. Mogelijkheid om fietsen te huren vlakbij het hotel. Personeel vriendelijk en kamer netjes. Voor een kort verblijf in San Sebastián perfect, wat ons betreft. Parkeren is wel een ding. Niet-inwoners van de stad mogen alleen (betaald) parkeren in de blauw-groene parkeervakken. Voor het hotel kun je, als je geluk hebt, betaald parkeren (3 uur per dag). Achter het hotel kun je langer betaald parkeren, maar ook hier zijn de plekken beperkt. Er is op een km afstand wel een parkeergarage. Voor het hotel mag en kan je wel laden en lossen.

God beliggenhed - men slidt og umoderne.

Hotellet har en fantastisk beliggenhed lige ved stranden, men udnytter ikke sit potientiale. Desværre for det kunne blive en lille perle. Hotellet er slidt, umoderne og bærer præg af gør det selv reparationer. Vi har overnattet der før, og valgte det udelukkende igen på grund af beliggenheden.
