Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Don’t bring your car into the city but if you have to - ask for the parking voucher for nearby underground parking at circa 30 euros per day. Also note you can’t drive to the hotel to drop bags. So you’ll to walk 500m with your bags. Then up a steep set of crooked stairs to the third floor - that reflect the age and charm of the building. Only a few rooms on the floor, with a shared kitchen which was very convenient. Can’t beat the spot and the price, for ready access to dining extravaganza.

Amazing location to walk and explore the old town. Many pintxo bars, restaurants, and cafes steps from the pension. Beautiful and funky old building, cozy rooms, kept very clean. Small kitchen with a fridge, microwave, kettle and dishes for guests (as well as coffee, tea, and biscuits). Would recommend to anyone coming to San Sebastián!

The host was very nice but spoke fast in his broken English so it was difficult to understand him. The room was great with a little balcony. Everything was so clean and the bathroom nice and big. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, a variety of teas and cake which was delicious all complimentary.

I’ve read past reviews where the owner counter attacks the reviewer. So let’s go.
Firstly, the advertisement says staffed 9.00 am to 9.00 pm. This is not the case. You have to call to gain entry and someone turns up in a sweat. Dumps the keys and you and that’s it after a cursory show through of the place.
Secondly, yes it’s an old building but the stairs are basically unsafe.
Thirdly, the shower in our room was faulty. It didn’t drain. The room smelled damp. Issue was raised with Manager who didn’t respond.
Fourthly, the fan in our room was defective our neighbor asked us to stop the oscillation as it was scrapping the common wall.
Manager tries to get you communicating off Hotels.com app and use WhatsApp. I see this as deceptive.
We stayed one night then left. Burned €550 but put it down to experience. The ratings can’t be believed. 4.6 on Google and 9.2 on Hotels.com

The double room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The man working there was very kind. He even gave us a map with helpful tips on what was going on and a list of the best pintxo bars.
It didn't bother us, but because it is in the heart of old town surrounded by delicious pintxo bars (a definite overall plus for us!), you are naturally going to hear a lot of street noise at night from the room.

Great location in the heart of the old town! Surrounded by bars and restaurants, and next to the historical cathedral. Note that it’s located on a pedestrian-only street, so you will have to walk a few blocks to access, and then climb many stairs (no elevator). Our room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the main street. Service was excellent and there’s a community kitchen to make tea/coffee, or leave food items in the fridge. Definitely recommend for a unique experience!!!

Roberto was amazing! He helped with our luggage up and down the stairs. He organized bus transportation to our next destination printed our tickets. As well he printed a document which saved us running around looking for a print shop. We appreciated the common kitchen and our little balcony that looked out over the bars and restaurants below. Our room was one of few with an ensuite. The place was very clean. Amazing location right next to the church in the old city!

It’s a beautiful little old Pension and we loved it. Roberto and staff were great and tried to help where they could. It was film festival time so really busy, but it was great to stay here. The Madeira cake in the kitchen was a beautiful touch!

We loved the location, the \"down home\", relaxed feeling, the friendly staff, and the simplicity. We had a room with a private bath and balcony. During the summer, it may be too loud if you need to have the balcony window open, given the noisy tapas crowd in the streets during the night, but this wasn't a problem for us during the spring. We especially appreciated having a common kitchen to use in preparing meals, storing food in the refrigerator, and meeting other travelers around the table.

Great, central location, walkable to everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful. However, be sure to understand this is a very, very basic place. Towels are thin and small, the bathroom cramped. The room is very basic as well as worn bedding. But, everything was very clean! There are no extras whatsoever. You will have to carry your luggage up several flights of narrow old wooden stairs. You cannot beat this price in the heart of it all. But, certainly not a place to stay if you are looking for any services.

Perfect location, very friendly staff who gave great recommendations for local tapas bars we should check out (which all turned out to be great). Room was not huge but had everything we needed. Reception is closed from 12-1 or maybe 12-2PM which we didn't know until we arrived; we knew we were early, but had assumed we could leave our bags at reception. Just something to keep in mind. There is a common area by reception with coffee and tea fixins, which was great; we weren't there long enough to need it, but there is also a refrigerator if you stay for a while and want to store some cold cuts for sandwiches or etc. Highly recommend, especially for the great price we paid. Superb location in the pedestrian portion of the old city of San Sebastian. For cars, they provided discount parking at a nearby underground parking garage. The front ensuite room was clean, very nicely decorated, with a modern bathroom and a balcony overlooking the street, which be a bit noisy at night. The website pictures are accurate! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, offering great advice about pintxo bars, museums and sites around the city. We would definitely return.

Great place to stay in the centre of the Old Town
Very good welcome. Help with suitcases, needed as we are elderly and there are quite a lot of stairs. Patron very knowledgeable about the local area and history of the area. The house is the oldest in San Sebastian, great for historians, and very well placed for all the best eateries for which San Sebastian is renowned. Our room was comfortable, huge bed that met our needs well. We were a little chilly, but given an extra quilt and that worked well for us. We were really impressed that there is a small kitchen with tea/coffee making facilities, plus toaster and microwave plus crockery and cutlery. Very useful The internet worked well. We were given every assistance with arranging a taxi. The Patron is able to arrange a discount for the local car park (about 400 metres away). Only Taxis are allowed in the Old Town itself, but taxis are not expensive. Our room overlooked the Old Town Square where much of the celebrations for the Annual Saints Day are held. The place was spotlessly clean and staff unfailingly helpful. We thoroughly recommend a stay here.

It would s in a very old building, on one of the best streets for tapas. The room is nice, there is a bathroom separate from the room but private. The only thing I would change is the bed, it was not very comfortable to hard.

Preis/Leistung passen, das Hotel ist top gelegen, Bars etc direkt unter dem Hotel. Wer jedoch eine ruhige Gegend sucht ist hier absolut falsch, hier ist der Mittelpunkt des Lebens. La ubicación era perfecta, en pleno casco antiguo. La habitación era amplia y la cama muy cómoda con servicio de limpieza diario. El personal muy atento, nos resolvió todas las dudas y nos facilitó un mapa de la ciudad con una breve guía.
