Stay at this lovely charming hotel
If you are traveling through the middle of France it would be a mistake to skip Tours. It would be a bigger mistake to not stay at Francois’s wonderful old fashioned hotel. You will be delighted

Hostel is located ideally. Narrow stairway to first floor. Clean. Room has bare minimum. Water bottle & 2 glasses w/linens & fan sre the amenities. No kitchen facilities or even hot water kettle is available. Decor is off-beat, could use a make over. Shared bathroom could be problematic w/guests.

I was nervous about staying here after reading some negative reviews but needn’t have worried.
I didn’t receive the door codes so called when I arrived and the woman I spoke to was really helpful - she sent me them on WhatsApp. She stayed on the phone to make sure I could enter the property.
The room (3 single beds) was decorated nicely and was really clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a water dispenser in the hallway and maps etc.
Both bathrooms were spacious and very clean despite being shared facilities. We didn’t wait to use them at all. I suspect if we’d stayed in the peak of summer, we may have had to wait our turn.
Location was fantastic - right in the old town and 5mins walk to the beach. We could hear noise from the bars but we chose to stay on the main street where the bars are so we expected noise. It didn’t go on too late.
I am a lone female with 2 daughters (14 and 11) and felt completely safe staying here - in fact, it was one of our favourite stops on our backpacking trip. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is very centrally located in old town and though you can’t drive right up to it a cab can drop you off less than 3 blocks away. The room was clean and quaint. I stayed a week and without a view it started to feel a bit small. No reception so you need to be around for the maids to provide you with new towels. Shared washroom facilities were okay, never had to wait too long. For the price, I was a little underwhelmed, but overall this is a great place to stay if you’re traveling alone or with a partner and want to be in the thick of old town.

The Off Beat Guesthouse was just what we needed for our stay in San Sebastian! It was at the intersection of two major restaurant & shopping strips and right at the foot of Monte Urgull. All of the old town was just minutes away, which was perfect.
We arrived later than expected due to a missed train and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. It even had its own balcony overlooking the mountain. They seemed to be doing some maintenance over the off-season so one of the shared bathrooms was closed for renovations, but the two that were open were extremely clean and well-appointed. Perhaps the best I've seen in a hostel.

Beautiful house with a fantastic backyard with a view. Calm, quiet in a small village, the feeling of country side living with modern amenities, lots to visit nearby especially for wine lovers. Very nice and friendly host, speaking very good English, can give you tips what to do in the area.

The guesthouse was perfect for a short stay with friendly and welcoming staff. The location is great next to Saint Telmo church and not too noisy. The breakfasts included too was good with a wide range of choices. The interior is quirky and fun and clean but not too fussy, showers a bit basic but adequate -I would highly recommend.

Great location, friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Room was quite dirty, with short and curlies all over the floor. Not used to needing shoes while inside, but the floor was that gross. Would be fine at a quarter of the price - for over 100 euro / night, definitely wasn't worth it.

Last minute getaway from Bordeoux
We booked last minute and the accommodation was great and priced well. Perfect location! One thing to note is that there are 3 shared bathrooms for 6 rooms. We didn't know that when we booked. It was not a problem for us, we never had to wait and they were always very clean, just something to note. The breakfast was amazing and the staff gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants.

The location is amazing!! Bathrooms are clean, It will be great to have AC in the rooms, hall to the bathrooms needs to be fixed, it's unsafe, specially during nights since guests need to use shared bathrooms. The receptionist at check in was great she showed us the area map, offered a drink and was very helpful and conscious about the unsafe portion of the floor in the hall, management should take care of that quickly. Awesome location!!!

The hotel was in a great location, in old Town of Domestic but that is all that could be said about it. The staircase was worn and more importantly was damaged and slanting so there is always a danger of losing one's balance. The room bedding was missing a bedsheet. There was no airconditioning contrary to what Expedia led us to believe. Initially, we thought that the shared bathroom was clean but we later recognized that cleaning largely consisted of spraying a lot of room freshener all around. I would not stay in this hotel next time.

We stayed 2 min before leaving. It was a 200Eur youth hostel. On a very noisy street, but without recent windows. Room dark with a lovely view on a wall. Bathroom and toilet are common for all rooms. You should Remove from your serious website.

My last 2 Nights in San Sebastián
I decided to stay 2 more nights in San Sebastián and due to the busy season there was not much to choose from and for me, I knew I was going to be out the whole time so just needed the room for sleep.
When I showed up I had to walk up a flight of stairs just to get to reception as there is no lift. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was before 3:00 so I could not check in so I left my bags after carrying up the stairs.
At 4:30 I showed up and they had carried bags to room on 4th floor. Again, no lift.
When I was taken to the room I noticed it was only a room with shared bathrooms with that floor. The room was clean and very small. The picture is not accurate. No TV, No AC .
That all said, it served a purpose; to leave my bags and crash for the 2 days in old town.

Perfect Central Old Town Location
Boutique Magnifique is a perfect little guesthouse for a short break in central old town San Sebastián. We had a triple single bedded room which overlooked the church with a juliette balcony. The room was large, airy and very clean, with a towel provided. The beds were really comfy. There appeared to be only two rooms that had a good view to the front of the building, whilst others overlooked the internal courtyard which seemed quite dark.
There were three bathrooms to share and was always one free when needed. They were clean and well equipped with shower wash, shampoo and conditioner. I felt there lacked enough hooks to hang clothes/towel etc but wasn't an issue. I also found it a little disconcerting to clean your teeth right next to a urinal in one of the bathrooms, but the other two were fine.
James who met us on arrival was lovely and showed us our room and gave us a map highlighting key areas to see. Staff are available on site between 3pm and 7.30pm but there is a contact number should you need anything out of those hours. They are also from the UK so language for us Brits was not an issue.

Posizione ottima, stanza pulita e confortevole, nonostante i bagni in comune che però abbiamo trovato sempre in buone condizioni. Unica pecca il check in. Alle 15.30 non avevamo ancora ricevuto i codici, che ci sono stati inviati solo a seguito di chiamata (ufficialmente sono poi arrivati alle 18).

La chambre en elle même était propre, cependant l’enregistrement doit se faire au téléphone, près de 30 min de perdue pour avoir le code d’accès, et surtout grande surprise, aucune indication pour dire que ce sont des chambres avec des sanitaires communes, cette « surprise » a gâchée le séjour.
