I booked this hotel after reading all the good reviews. The hotel is old, and crazy expensive, $ 450-$800 per night. They don't provide any bottled water except one tiny bottle on the first day. The rooms are super tiny, with one tiny window. Only one person can fit in the tiny bathroom at a time. Hotel needs renovations desperately. It's obvious, they just want your money and could really care less about the quality of the services they provide. Definitely do not recommend.

Photos did not reflect the property conditions, in my opinion photos published are missleading. Towels were scratchy, steam iron was not working, courtains were ddirty and in bad shape. Elevators were too old. Number of starts (4), do not reflect the property reallity.

Loved the views over the rooftops out to the bay. It was amazing to watch the colors of the bay change right from the room. The bed and bath are very comfortable and the design of the room is very nice. The staff is very friendly. Nothing beat the short walk to the beach, promenade and old town. At night the neighborhood was quiet even though it was very central.

Fantastic dog-friendly hotel

We totally love this hotel. Secure on-site parking (bit tight, but seems to work), fantastic location literally a few minutes from the seafront, and VERY dog friendly (our little guy had his own bed, and welcome pack, with a toy he really loves, clearly thought out by someone who knows dogs), also spacious room, very comfortable. No restaurant, but not a problem for us - we actually had Glovo deliver to the room. Have stayed here 3x now and love it.

Room was clean but everything from furniture to furnishings felt cheap and worn. Towels were frayed, furniture chipped.
No drink facilities in room and also none available in reception.

Hotel on the top floors of a very high building so there’s always a good view, either to the bay or to the city. Beach and promenade is 2 min away, old city 10 min… I would book it again

Nice hotel near beach and city centre

Nice modern hotel less than 5 minutes walk from wonderful beach and 10 minutes from old town. We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious and comfortably furnished. The balcony afforded a view over the town and to the sea. Bed was comfortable. We were able to sleep with window open. Rea and coffee making facilities in room. Continental breakfast was good. Staff friendly and efficient.

Good but could do with cleanliness improvements

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right by the beach and close to enough shops and restaurants. The staff were also very friendly. The room seemed clean although it had a very musty smell, even after leaving the windows open for a few hours. What put me off a bit was climbing into bed that night and finding sand on the sheets where my feet were, as if the sheets had not been changed. I then tried to sleep on the top sheet but realised that the duvet was not in a cover but rather wedged between 2 sheets. This made it a bit unpleasant. The breakfast the next morning was great and had good variety.

This hotel was ideal for our San Sebastián vacation. We were only 1 minute from the beach, and about 15 minutes from all of the famous pintxo places. Staff were nice and they left out free soda and water for guests when they returned to the building. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but the cafes nearby are good.

Incredibly overpriced and uncomfortable. Furniture was out of the 70s and scratched. Towels and sheets were stained. There is a strange damp smell throughout the hotel. The service was good, and the location is great, but that’s about it.

Hotel is in a great location, just a street back from the beach with its lovely promenade. 15 minutes walk to the old town. If coming by car it’s easy to get to and park at. We had a junior suite on the top floor on the corner - room 504 - and the views were amazing. Check in staff were friendly and it was nice to have cans of free soft drinks available upon our return in the afternoon.

No AC regardless of the heat, was told it was not time to turn AC on, the bathtub floor is extremely slippery and right out dangerous, very limited channels available, no water bottles, way less coffee available in the rooms, although the room is spacious, the bujía old and trash cans line the front, very disappointing

They have a strange assortment of lights in the room that are more of a nuisance than useful. No USB sockets in room. Close to eateries and bars. Convenient location easy to find.

This property is perfectly located by the beach without being on the beach so a little quieter than beach front. Great little restaurants right next door, staff really helpful, breakfast buffet with so many choices, clean, elevators for old knees etc. nespresso machine in room:) Junior suite was perfect for longer stay with peek a boo view, couch and chair.

We would recommend this hotel. Perfect location to walk the city (just a block off the main beach but in the center) and the staff was genuinely kind, friendly and helpful. Bunch of places to eat nearby and easy to walk to the key sites. Had a good vibe the whole visit, the city is amazing.

Great hotel with lovely sea views from level 4. Worth the extra for the view. Now the bad bit!…..Charging 30 Euros for a dog to stay is too much! I have never paid more than 15 Euros before staying here. Please bear this in mind hotel management as it will stop me staying again.

The hotel offers secured underground parking for 22 euro a night. This is a busy area so this is a very convenient option.

We travelled with a dog. The pet charge is very high in comparison to other hotels as they charge 30 euro for a pet per night.

The hotel breakfast bar was closed due to covid restrictions so we had an option to order a breakfast box to a room which we did, 7.5 euro per person. The breakfast we got was a massive let down - surgery snacks type of food for a child. No good quality bread, no eggs, no cheese or good fruit.

Great location, easy to walk everywhere! The hotel seemed like it could use a refresh in some areas but overall it was good. We paid for the breakfast which I wouldn’t do again, it wasn’t that great. That being said we had to leave before breakfast one morning and they packed it up as a picnic for us. (Still not worth it for the price) we were on floor 2 which was much higher than expected and had a nice view! Would stay here again.

This was a disappointing hotel the room looked nothing like the pictures it was very small and quite dated but it did have the most amazing views which is one of the reasons we choose it and it had a garage
The price was very expensive for what you got and on top of that breakfast was nearly 20 euros per person a ridiculous amount

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is not on the beach but it is in a great location. The room was nice and clean but could use some updating in the bathrooms. Upon our arrival they were doing some minor work in front of the hotel which was not a problem other then having to use a different entrance to get into the hotel lobby. The front desk staff however were not very pleasant, check in took some time as there was only one person working when we came back to get the keys when the room was ready. The following day we decided to go to the beach and when asking the front desk clerk for a beach towel she seemed bothered and rolled her eyes. Saying she didn't think they had any. However when she went to check she came out from the back with a stack of fresh towels and then tells me it would a deposit of 20 euro for them. I asked her to put the deposit on the room charge and she seemed annoyed with that as well. Overall the hotel is nice. It was the staff that made the experience bad. It's amazing how much better your experience can be with good customer service.

We couldn’t be any more happier with our stay here at Tryp San Sebastián! We stayed in a premium view room and the upgrade was well worth it. The view from our room with breath taking, the room was extremely clean and the staff was the friendliest. Also, we recommend adding the breakfast!!!

The service was remarkably slow and dismissive. We checked in having reserved through this webpage. We selected this hotel expressively because they allow dogs. I am most certain that I mentioned coming with a perfectly clean, friendly, well educated six kilo poodle but evidently they didn’t show this in our reservation. What a scene. They were aggressive and impatient. Saying that we could of course not enter the hotel with a dog etc. At the end the that was necessary was a call to the manager and a ridiculously high daily charge of 32€ daily for the dog. More than for parking my car! It never got better. Absolute minimum of service. The “Bellman” brought our things down on a cart and simply left it all sitting in the lobby. No hotel restaurant nor bar, no pool, sauna, nor a proper gym. Four stars?? Are you joking??? Never again!

Great location and top floor corner suite came with an amzing view but properties wear and tear show badly. Couch had stain marks and removal marks all over, about half of window shades didnt work properly, hallway carpets worned and stained, safe didnt work. Pay for location not quality of physical prowprty. Staff was excellent and price wasnt outrageous for property condition standards. A deep clean under bed and behind furntiture wouldnt hurt either

Tiny bathroom and hotel needs updating

Our overall stay at Tryp San Sebastián Orly Hotel was okay. Location was good-walking distance to all/most sights, restaurants, and bars. Both morning and evening front desk personnel were accommodating. We didn’t like their policy of having to place a 10 euro deposit to borrow an umbrella. We also did not like how small and tight their bathroom was! They should just pull up the bidet to give you more room! The hotel needs updating!
