Rooms were always cleaned to a high standard. Pillows/duvet a high standard and so comfortable.
You have to wear a bathing hat for the indoor pool but can buy from receptionist. Only 2 steps to get out of pool, really need 3!

We ate in the East Restaurant a couple of times, it was ok but the Italian restaurant outside was superb in their selection of food.

Staff were friendly and always engaging and friendly. Only two minor draw backs, not enough steps into the pool, I'm 75 and needed help from mjy husband to get out. The second issue, we settled our bill the night before our departure so we could make a quick exit to make the airport in time with the protesters blocking roads. In the morning we wasn't allowed to drop the keys and go, and was told we still owed 18cents! After spending around 1.5k, 18 cents! Really? We'd settled the bill in our eyes and this did spoil our day and imagine of the hotel as petty, nit picking and small minded jobs worths. It also put pressure on our time tsble as the lady that was going to hrlp allowed others to be dealt with, hence jumping the queue.

Beautiful hotel and as soon as we arrived we were welcomed by the staff, our room got upgraded and it was amazing, deluxe king room with a surrounding balcony - we were in awe and especially as we were celebrating our anniversary it made our trip feel even more special. Very clean and the amenities were great. We will definitely be coming back to The Spencer when we come to Dublin again.

The hotel is in a great location and is a nice refuge from the busy city but still walkable to the city. There is a nice vibe to the place and the staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was decent and the bar was a nice welcoming area to relax. I would possibly stay there again.

I don't normally leave hotel reviews, but the staff were so pleasant and the hotel was really clean and comfortable so I feel I need to! Room facilities were great, Nespresso machine, fridge, robes & slippers.
The only disappointment was that I booked on the basis of the pool and spa which was closed for refurbishment at the time of visiting. But otherwise a very comfortable one night stay.

Alot of traffic noise which even with the terrace doors closed was constant so not alotbof sleep. Very drafty room. Extractor not working in the bathroom and paintwork in the room in need of refresh. Lots of other bars and restaurants in range if you do not fancy the rather loud in house DJ on the Friday and Saturday night. All in all, fantastic value for money with good facilities.

The hotel is nice but for Feb I was surprised we were given a small room with no view - it was internal to a walkway. Also we booked for pool and after booking later we were informed it was closed for reno - fine but no compensation..like breakfast or coffee offered as a token

The buffet was well stocked but everything was stone cold. Not just tepid, absolutely cold. I mentioned this to the on duty servers and one of them then told me that there was a menu option. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and had them change the scambled tofu for scrambled egg. When it arrived almost 15 minutes later(!!), it was missing items. By this time though, I needed to get going so as not to miss my flight and couldn't argue the point any more. Hotel breakfasts are always expensive. This one definitely wasn't the most expensive I've ever had/paid for, but it wasn't worth the money I did pay unfortunately.

Check in was terrible, booked a room with Twin beds got given a double, had to wait 45 mins until someone came to room to sort this, rather than just changing room. Very cold staff, we booked breakfast when got to hotel and then they wouldn't refund us when we didn't have breakfast, Carparking we were left in an underground carpark for quite a period of time waiting for hotel to open the gates to get to our car, even though a member of staff walked us down and just left us at gate. Not a great experience at all from the may hotels we have stayed in.

The hotel was very nicce and the Staff was particularly nice. We stayed one night on a tour package and one night on our own. The breakfast was okay - I wish they could have started it a bit earlier in the morning as we didn't get breakfast one our last day; we needed to leave for the airport about the time breakfast started. Also, like most hotels in the UK and Ireland, the switch for the bathroom light is outside the bathroom, which makes it awkward when one person in a multi-person room needs to get up in the night to use the bathroom.
