The name Ramada by Wyndham North M1, was out of this world terrible and horrible.. The name and photos posted certainly a deception and does not reflect the standards
This property is a motel truck stops for travellers travelling long distance that needed an overnight stay .

The property has no air conditioning and had bugs crawling over the sheets. It was a nightmare. My 84 year old mother had to keep on her mask as she is asthmatic. We did not sleep that night and could not wait to exit the property.

I originally booked for 5 nights but stayed only (1) night due to the heat in the room, the smell of tobacco/cigarettes and worse of all bugs crawling all over. ( I have the video of the bugs crawling all over the sheets)

Never again.

The staff were friendly, the price was reaaonable but both my partner and i arrived at the room to find ants forming on the table side. Whilst sleeping we kept waking up to ants crawling on us. Upon checking out and informing the staff member all he had to say was sorry and thankyou for letting us know so we can prepare an exterminator for future guests. Bo offer of compensation of any sort. A mixed experience overall

adverts says \"sleep like a rock star\", I didn't know they meant literally, as in, after the show. the rooms were not clean, the walls and headboard had marks and stains of dirt that should have been wiped off. the bathroom has mould on the shower walls and corners. the shower had years of lime-scale built up on it. the beds were not clean but at least the sheets were. all of the items I mention could easily be cleaned with some bleach and vinegar for the shower head. but it cleaning management needs to improve massively. clearly it's not okay to have this much dirt in rooms

Been going to this hotel for over 30 years. It’s a bit tired now, rooms mainly. This said it’s still very reasonable to stay there & breakfasts are good with several choices. This stay the window was open in our room when we arrived -the handle was missing & it couldn’t be close. We couldn’t telephone reception as the phone wasn’t connected & said on the phone it was from room 136 -this wasn’t our room. Maintenance man didn’t come immediately as I was told so we waited a little while however my husband sorted the window so didn’t need maintenance & we advised reception as we left & about the phone not being connected

It is a hotel that is used by workmen from what I can see so it is well used
The public areas, bar etc are in a nice condition & inviting.
I have found all the staff here have been pleasant & helpful

Serverely lacking hotel. The beds in the room were good, comfy and clean. There was. Double bed and 2 singles in the room which would be good for families. However the bathroom was a horror show: light flickering when on, tap constantly dripping, no plug just a big hole for you to lose things down, broken door stopper lid on the floor, and the min highlight pubic hair all over a tile on the wall opposite the shower (discovered in the morning when the curtain was pulled back). The ceiling showed lots of signs of dom BK k spots as did all the grout. Standees for the hotel are low and it’s not maintained to an appropriate level even for 2-star hotel

The room was ok, but the bedding for the kids was organised on the floor. Air ventilation was v dusty, so anyone who stayed in the room had to inhale stale air. Spores/mould were significantly bad in the bathroom. People shower for cleanliness or to get infected with germs/bacteria? The outer and sitting area were nice.

The heating didn’t work in my room. Staff provided portable heater. They need to install more electrical sockets in rooms especially by the bed side. I was there for three days and I could observe that the lift area on the 3rd floor was never cleaned during that time.

The bathroom is outdated, and could do with a deep clean. Moldy sealant, damaged bath panel. Extractor fan didn't work, hence the mold.
The bedroom was more adequate, bed was comfortable.
Staff very helpful.
Breakfast was nice but could have been better. A choice of different eggs, use a plate warmer. Possibly cover the bread thats out on display.

Room was cold and run down, beds for kids are not great, provided kettle, sugar, milk cups but no tea or coffee to go with it. Biggest issue for us was breakfast, no acknowledgement that we had breakfast included at check in so no idea of timings. Breakfast itself was poor quality, and worse cold, the heat lamps clearly don’t work, tables not cleared the gentleman looking after the dining area had a Bluetooth headset and was clearly on the phone chatting away to someone instead of doing his job. Apparently you don’t provide teaspoons (ridiculous), also paper coffe cups, why not proper glassware.

We asked for an extra pillow in which we’re told no sorry as none left which I find hard to believe in a big hotel. Finally second guessing if our room had been cleaned before check in as there were dog biscuits by the mirror in our room so clearly had not been hoovered before our stay

Honestly for the money (£55) it doesn't get any better, room was modern, clean, bed was huge and very comfortable, staff were pleasant. I paid £15 for the late check out, rolled downstairs had the breakfast buffet which was absolutely fine for the money, went back up had a nap till 12 then left. Stunning value for money

Carpet was very unclean, mattress poor quality and the small fridge in the room was disgusting filthy.
Also sockets were pulling from walls revealing wires.

Rooms were very basic. Bathroom was not clean, had no toilet paper. Gentleman at reception Reece (not sure how to spell his name) was extremely welcoming and made me feel listened too when addressing my concerns.

Breakfast very basic English not much of a choice to select from. Not much of a vegan choice had to request this, which I didn't know. Chef said it takes 15mins to prepare 2 vegan sausage, so I left it.

Positive: parking space adequate.
Negative: you have to pay for parking permit day.

Positive it's close to the M1 easy to get on route to destination.

Negative: no sockets or usb plugs near bed side. Sockets were on opposite side of room, so you would need an extension lead to charge and use phone close to you in bed.

Positive: comfortable bed.
Negative: can't open bedroom windows for fresh air.

More ideal for solo traveller or for an emergency quick stop to rest, from your long journey.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast which I purchased as a extra was rather cool and not really hot enough. The room I booked had a very large comfortable bed. The room itself was tired, especially the bathroom with a dripping tap and an empty bottle of shower gel and a full bottle of hand was but both in the wrong place. The hotel is fine for a one night stay and great value for money. Dont expect top quality and you will be happy.

Bed was comfy, but would recommend bringing your own pillow. Check in and check out was easy and straight forward. Room in the main was clean, but carpet needed a clean as there was some debris on the floor. Excellent location if you are visiting London

1st room I checked into - you could not close the large windows (road side noise and cold), as the handles had been removed. The second room did have the windows closed, but still no handles, just holes where they should be.
Rooms are very tired and show signs of wear and age.

Alarms kept going off in the night, no guidance on what to do and no answers from reception to indicate if there was a problem or emergency.

No reasons or apologies on the check out process.

I recommend using an alternative hotel if available.

The staff were pleasant. The hotel is rather 'tired' especially the bathroom. No Plug socket next to the bed for mobile phone to be connected. Breakfast was not as good as in the past. The 'hot food' was cold despite being on a heated plate - it had obviously been sitting for a while. The fruit salad is tinned rather than fresh fruit. Cheese was dry and not refreshed.

The TV didn’t work.
I went to try and close the window to cut out the noise of the busy M1 motorway and the handle was loose in its housing, when I tried to turn the handle it just came apart.
I needed a shave in the morning and there wasn’t any plug to fill the basin so had to do it with running water.
I couldn’t be bothered to complain as I was only stopping there for the one night and will never stay there again.
On the plus side, I do have to say the the staff at reception and bar/restaurant were very good indeed.
I certainly won’t be staying there again.
