This is a cute hotel with an amazing restaurant and bar. The breakfast menu was phenomenal and the desk staff treated us like we were family. Did t use the pool but it looked clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay there again.

Such a charming hotel! Our rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The pool area was very nice. I especially loved The Whip Bar & Grill for dining. The Inn is right in the middle of Stowe and everything was very walkable. The staff was helpful in providing any information we needed for our stay.

There are no negatives. Staff was great, rooms are clean, location is amazing! Loved that they host a 4:00 tea and cookie time. We stepped out and had all kinds of shopping/restaurants all around us. I will definitely stay again. We never got to check out the pool..next time!

We had a great stay overall. I guess the only downside was the staff being inattentive. The house keeper was excellent but it was when we went to the pool and the pool bar was closed in late June. Granted there was a sign that said “call this number if pool bar is closed and need service” but we called and left a voicemail and never heard back or had anyone come outside. Also we called to have the fire pit outside the Mansfield house put on and the staff said they would but they did not. And as we waited around the fire pit we noticed multiple powertools with blades and batterypacks attached sitting on an end table by the fire pit. A bit unsafe for small children. And the poison pellet pesticides all over the ground doesn't help either.

My daughter and I were visiting for a mother daughter trip. She loved the outdoor heated pool and the location of the inn. I rated down how well the place was maintained because the elevator was being fixed the entire time we were visiting so we had to carry the luggage up to the second floor. We loved the restaurants for breakfast and dinner on location. The town was beautiful to walk around. The inn location was central to a variety of tourist stops.

Loved our room! Huge, great bedding, fireplace, jacuzzi tub. The only issue I had was there was no elevator and we had heavy suitcases to lug upstairs. Other than that, it was great. Right in the Main Street in the center of town in Stowe. Beautiful area.

Rhis place is beautiful. Spa, pool, hot tub, sauna jacuzzi, workout room, all right there. Everything was clean. Its a beautiful building and Stowe is a great little town. I highly recommend staying here and I cant wait to be back. Oh and my massage by Jessica was soooo helpful for me as I was there to summit Mt Mansfield. So the deep tissue massage on my legs afterwards was much needed and appreciated.

Staying at The Green Mountain Inn was an absolute delight. Built in 1833, the inn has a timeless charm that you can feel the moment you walk in. The property is filled with beautiful historic photos—both of the inn itself and the surrounding town—which made it feel like we were stepping into a living piece of Vermont history.

Our room was especially lovely. The décor was cozy and inviting, and the electric fireplace added the perfect touch of warmth and comfort. It made our mother‑daughter trip feel extra special and memorable.

The town of Stowe was just as charming as the inn. Cute shops, walkable streets, and that quintessential Vermont atmosphere made exploring the area a joy.

Overall, The Green Mountain Inn offered a unique, welcoming, and truly memorable stay. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our trip.

Very clean and nicely furnished for such an old property. Our room could have used a good scrubbing on the bathroom floors b/c the grout and tiles were dirty. The shower could use re-caulking around the glass shower door where it meets the bathtub to get rid of a bit of mold, and the tiles in the shower could need to be sprayed with Tilex and scrubbed. Those are all minor things, but could improve the room a lot. Overall, very satisfied.

Beautiful old inn in a convenient location. Lovely room with balcony overlooking the Main Street with shops and church steeple and mountains in the background.
The only reason for 4/5 stars is that the room was noisy at times. Anyone walking by in the hall on the old creaky floors or talking was well heard i the room. Headboard of bed also on wall abutting the hallway which did not help the noise buffer.
Other than that, I would highly recommend this inn.

We really enjoy the hotel, great to be walking distance from shops, pubs, and restaurants. The hotel is charming and very comfortable. The staff was super helpful and friendly. If you stay for breakfast, I’d recommend the avocado toast - simply delicious. Would I stay again - yes 100%

Food prices were super expensive. We stayed in the Mansfield Mansion. You should have coffee station in each building lobby so we don't have to go to the front office. Also no microwave in the room makes it very inconvenient. Drains need to be cleaned & update the deck of 727 was extremely dirty & rotting

The Green Moubtain Inn is absolutely wonderful it is centrally located in the center of town so you can walk to shops and restaurants. They have fire pits going, and jacuzzi heated outdoor pool that is still usable throughout. Kids loved it. Indoor sauna too. We stayed as a multi generational family of five and had plenty of space in our condo unit. Absolutely immaculate and decorated beautifully. Go visit. You will not be disappointed

Warm and inviting welcome to the property. thank you, Rye. Really nice young man. We were actually able to get in a little early, which was nice. The king size room was wonderful with an in room Jacuzzi. The outdoor heated pool was very warm and inviting after skiing in the hot tub was great. Very hot. Bath robes in each room. The property is exceptionally well taken care of. Multiple different Style buildings at all work together quite well. All in all an exceptional property and a wonderful experience. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Right on Main Street where the action is also.
If I would have one issue, it was the bed was quite soft when we are used to a Tempur-pedic firm. Too soft for me.

Lots of history to this place and its gorgeous. Our favorite stay thus far in Vermont. Staff was super friendly. Beautiful room, huge jet tub and shower, lovely electric fireplace, and so quaint! Downside was that there were no curtains over the blinds on our windows, so we woke up with the sun.

The room was clean & the fireplace was a perk. The problem was that the room was a ridiculously far outdoor walk uphill from the front desk with no bellhop in sight although the property claims to have a bellhop. On our walk, a lady in an ATV stopped to talk to us but didn't offer a ride or help with bags. And after the uphill trek with luggage in the elements, we had to drag our bags up steep stairs because the building had no elevator despite hotels.com saying it has elevators. Only in the main building. The room had no drinking water & when we called the front desk, they told us to walk back a ridiculous distance to purchase water or use the vending machine in the building. Newsflash: The vending machines have been removed from our building as well as the main building. All other buildings require a key so we had no access. Doubt they have vending machines. Hence, no drinking water. We were thirsty. Their website states that fire pits are just steps from our door. False. They are only in the pool area. We requested a bellhop to help us with our bags when we were departing as we needed to store bags for a few hours. After 2 calls and 45 minutes, nobody showed up so once again, we lugged our own bags a ridiculous distance. The carpet on the stairs in the common area in the Mansfield house hasn't been changed in decades. We were hopeful for a great stay, but the grunt work and lack of customer service & false advertising was overwhelming. We deserve a refund!

Location was amazing. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment type of room which was perfect and had a fully equipped kirchen, living room with fireplace, and ample room for the 2 of us. Ski shuttle was right across the street. Everything was super clean. The LR and dining furniture were old, but didn't bother as, it was cozy. We will stay again, for sure

The room was very clean, the staff were fantastic. The front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating. We ate breakfast at the hotel cafe, which was delicious although a little on the expensive side for breakfast. Similarly dinner at the whip bar and grill was delicious, host and manager were present courtesy and informative. Service was prompt and the atmosphere was nice. Hotel pool, hot tub and sauna were fantastic and clean. Although the hotel touts comfortable beds my party all thought they were a bit on the hard side but I suppose that’s a personal preference.
