Amenities were great. We were in a room that was quite dated. Also it wasn’t advertised as motel room but that’s what we ended up getting. Didn’t feel as safe as the hotel rooms in the building, not sure why we were put out there as it wasn’t busy at all. Flooring was mixed, beds and furniture had plenty wear and tear. Staff was friendly and outdoor pool was surprisingly nice. Indoor pool was freezing but outdoor pool was heated.

The resort was being renovated at the time, portable heaters in the rooms, restaurant was vacant, and since you asked, the breakfast was extremely underwhelming, bagels and store bought pastries. The coffee and juice were nice and fresh and that was good. The shuttle for Stowe stopped right out in front.

The deluxe rooms are spacious and clean somewhat dated. The \"standard rooms\" are dated and thread bare. The staff have always been nice and friendly. We understand that it is going thru renovations but there is usually something out of order every visit. We are hopeful that the new ownership will restore things fully, it was once a really nice property but is lacking right now but has hope.

My friend and I stayed for a spring ski weekend at Stowe. It's an easy drive to the mountain and a short drive to all the restaurant options in town. We rented demo skis at Pinnacle, which is literally across the street. We were exhausted from skiing each day so didn't end up using the amenities like pool and hot tub.

The Stoweflake is conveniently located close to restaurants, shops, and easy access to skiing. The room was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. We did not use the pool, or any other activities. The continental breakfast was good, and they serve it in a nicely appointed room.

Went for a short local getaway with our two kids and had a fantastic time, rarely leaving the hotel. The pool, hot tub, racquetball court and various lounges were a lot of fun to explore, and the staff were great!

We stayed at Stoweflake Resort in Vermont after a full day of skiing and what should have been a relaxing night turned into a complete nightmare. We checked in, grabbed our keys, and went up to our room only to find it had not been cleaned from the previous guests. There was trash everywhere and the beds were completely unmade. After skiing all day, that was the last thing we wanted to deal with.

We went back to the front desk and the guy told us we were getting an “upgrade” for me and the three other guys I was staying with. We went to the second room and it was a one bedroom that was missing a bed, even though we booked a two bed room. I asked how that was considered an upgrade. It clearly was not.

So we went back again and were placed in a third room. This one was at least vacant, but it was dark, outdated, and had stains everywhere. For $350 a night you would expect something decent, if not updated then at least clean with solid amenities.

We tried to use the pool and it was green. At that point we asked the front desk for a refund and he refused. To top it all off, we barely slept because a dog in the room next to us barked all night.

Needless to say, do not waste your money here. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere like Trapp Family Lodge or anywhere else. This place was a complete disappointment.

Didn't realize we booked a hotel room outside of the hotel (was not connected to main building). Was more of a motel. Housekeeping only came once halfway through our scheduled stay so our garbage piled up. Condition of the facilities was old and tired. Feels like the financial health of the resort is not good and seems to be reflected in the experience. We ended up leaving a full two days early due to the poor experience. Will not be coming back.

A great stay at Stoweflake Resort! Family of 5 in 2 rooms in the main inn. Indoor pool & hot tub were welcome after a day out in the snow! Super convenient location in the heart of Stowe! Lots of shops & restaurants within walking distance. 20 min ride to Mt. Mansfield base camp. Beautiful roaring fire pit outdoors at night as well as inside the lounges. Would stay again!

Always enjoy the Stoweflake when we come ski. The newer hot tub is bigger than before and the new hot water heaters provided us with nice hot showers. The place used to be really great, then it slipped, but now seems to be getting needed updates.

The place was amazing, and we had a great stay. I would highly recommend.
However, Expedia has false advertising for this place. When I booked the reservation, it said we would have a full kitchenette with a stove and a sink and things. It had none of that. It was just a room with two beds, and a bathroom. When I went to the front desk to ask them about that, they said NONE of the rooms on the property had a kitchenette. Expedia is notorious for giving false advertisement for Stoweflake, so make sure that you call the actual place to confirm what you got. Needless to say, all the food we had brought to cook on the stove went to waste and we had to go out to eat for every meal

Stowe is beautiful. Room was comfortable and nice. Location is great with easy walking to eat. Hotel is currently getting ready for construction. Breakfast is awful with no options other than bread and a couple of pastries. You are better going out to eat.

We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. It does not offer value for money, the property looks very neglected. We were woken at 6:30 am by a faulty fire alarm that went off blaring for 30 minutes. Our room was not serviced, and the breakfast options were very limited! I would not recommend staying here.

We did NOT get the room we booked as per advertised. Our booking was for a Club Double Room, 2 Double Beds (Sports Wing). Instead, we were given Standard Room, 2 Double Beds. Staff told us there is no such room as advertised. We are puzzled???

The room is just super outdated. The chairs are old and worn, the bed was comfortable enough, but the linens were old, it really needs to be updated. It was very tired. I have for $350 a night. It seemed to me it should’ve been nicer, there’s no elevator which is fine, stairs were old. The bathroom was fine. It was clean but again outdated. It certainly was not a luxury experience. All the staff I interacted with were perfectly fine. It’s not really walkable, except for to the alchemist brewing company and a pizza joint and a couple of other restaurants. It’s a little off the path from the primary downtown part of Stowe.

Stoweflake was not what I hoped but had some redeeming qualities. First the positive- The property was expansive. We stayed in a condo and had a very private place. It was conveniently located. The negative- The email confirmation stated check-in was at 3- we were not allowed to check in until 4:00. When I showed the email, staff were unapologetic and borderline rude. The place was dirty- it was evident it had not been vacuumed. There was hair in the shower. The furniture in the lobby/ breakfast area and the room was old, worn and dirty. I didn’t sit on the couch on our condo it seemed so dirty. Staff in general were not friendly.

I do not ever write negative reviews but given the cost of staying here it seems there needs to be some changes.

Room was fine although we were expecting queen beds. Shower temp was too low. Property was obviously in need of a refurbishment with lots of observable deferred maintenance. Hauling our large,heavy suitcases up a flight of narrow stairs with pealing painting and deteriorating fake wood components was a little unnerving. Beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. Towel heating rack was a very pleasant surprise. Large very complete gym facility. Breakfast area needs more seating/tables and a reliable circuit breaker. Seems like microwave and toaster in simultaneous use blew the breaker.

The room was clean and spacious. There is no air conditioning, so it was rather stuffy. We opened both windows, but one crank was not very functional and the window only opened a small amount and had to be pulled back in later. A small piece of the other crank came off, but was able to be put back on and remained functional. The bathroom toilet paper roll bar was not the one that should have been used with the bar holder and popped out every time you touched the roll. The shower had water, but no pressure, so you had to stand next to the wall to get rinsed. Breakfast was sustenance, but nothing to write home about. I was very excited to stay here, but was sadly disappointed especially considering the price.

Too pricey, no minibar in the room, shower not working properly, poor breakfast, almost no place to seat, although we have seen some rooms near the lobby in wich there were buffets been served for other guests.
And I had reserved (TO PAY AT PROPERTY) two rooms for me, my wife and a couple of friends, we were going to split the bill, but the total was already charged in my credit card, two days before we arrived.

We had a great check in experience and we were pleased with the facility. There are some needed repairs in the general building, but nothing that had an effect on our stay. I enjoyed the pool and the outdoor hot tub! The breakfast served was a typical continental breakfast. Would stay here again!

We got stuck with a room in the old motel addition which was very outdated and noisy. The beds were so sunken in that my back hurt all night. We were awoken at 6am by fire alarms and had to stand outside in the cold. No one told us what was going on. We had to ask the fire department (who came 30 minutes later). We go to bed finally and in the morning there is NO water. We had to shower in other rooms. We should have received a partial refund for a horrible night, but none was offered. All we got were apologies.

I had booked 3 rooms and was most excited about our stay at this property. They gave us the rooms in this building called Sports Wing, which is cut off from the main building and is more like staff quarters. The rooms were dark, dinghy, cold and smelling. Carpets were filthy. They had no housekeeping-PERIOD. At the time of booking, no where did it give any info about this separate building. DO NOT BOOK OR STAY IN THE SPORTS WING - even for free. Extremely disappointed, as I had guests from overseas. In fact, one of them even commented “ didn’t know there were such bad hotels in the USA.” We paid close to $275/night. The ultimate shame was that the breakfast was served in the lobby with barely seating for 20 people, when the capacity of the hotel must be over 100 guests. Breakfast too was pathetic. Do a lil research before getting stuck in this cess pool.

This resort was very old and run down. Very outdated style and mattress was so old it rolled both my husband and I to the center- which it’s fine to snuggle but we had to struggle to have some room out of the hole in the center. Breakfast was more grab and go but the people there were awesome and very friendly!!! The resort does say renovations coming soon so hopefully that helps!
