The staff and the amenities were amazing. We were in the loft rooms which were clean but need an update. Other rooms were renovated and were great. Suggest for the loft rooms that can sleep 6 people that when you reno that perhaps you do a full bathroom plus a half bath with just toilet/sink. There is definitely room for that in the one we stayed in.

I was lucky to stay in the recently renovated part of hotel. the room was modern, clean and cleverly designed. I was far from the common areas but that was not a problem bc there was a enclosed bridge so I did not have to go outdoors. I enjoyed the hot tub. The continental breakfast was simple and good: pastries, yogurt and breads. Stowe Bowl had a fun vibe and the wings were very good. The staff was EXCELLENT - helpful and friendly.

Overall a good experience. Room was clean, spacious, and beds were comfortable. The coffeemaker placed in the bathroom is all kinds of wrong but it didn’t really matter as it was broken. Shower had good water pressure but the water was not very warm. The hotel is small and the common area is tiny. Breakfast is all overly sweet pastries. The staff is friendly and the location of the hotel right by the ski area shuttle is perfect. Close to many good restaurants too. Price was more reasonable than other hotels in the area but matched the quality of the hotel. I don’t think we will stay there again.

We had a great stay, and I would give the property 4.5 if that were an option. They're currently upgrading all their rooms, and I think that will make a big difference. Our room (deluxe suite) was not upgraded yet, so the decor and furniture were somewhat dated. That said, the room was very well-maintained and clean. When factoring in what we paid compared to the "boutique" hotels in the area, it was a steal. Our room was spacious and comfortable. I loved having a full kitchen. The bathroom was also very spacious. We brought our own pillows, which I would recommend if you prefer down-filled pillows. Overall, the hotel met all of our needs. They have a complimentary continental breakfast with muffins, fruit, yogurt, and more. It was perfect. The hotel also accepts ALL pets, not just dogs. We brought our cat, and it was such a relief to be able to do that. The free shuttle to Stowe stops right outside and is a great way to get to the mountain. The staff is also the nicest ever. Really happy we stayed at Sun & Ski and will probably do it again next year.

We had a wonderful stay at Sun & Ski Inn during a busy holiday weekend for skiing in Stowe. The hotel is clean, has a cool bowling alley, and it's proximity to the slopes and to all the restaurants on Mountain Road is a big plus. But it was the friendly hospitality of the front desk staff, who made us and our two dogs feel so very welcome, which made it a great experience that we will always remember. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a reasonably priced dog-friendly hotel for a stay in a lovely Vermont ski town!

Nicest and most helpful staff I've ever met!

Wonderfully heated pool (92 degrees!), chocolate c hip cookies and tea and coffee and hot chocolate was amazing - especially after skiing all day!

We loved that the shuttle was accross the street and on the way back AT the hotel.

The reading + fireplace room was gorgeous.

The rooms were just beautiful - SUPER modern and updated. Very comfortable stay. We will 100% be back!

Staff was amazing! Went out of their way to make sure our stay was good. We have stayed here multiple years. Since the hot tub was being repaired, they didnt charge the resort fee. They really are customer focused. The breakfast is really nice (danishes, yogurt). If you stayed here before, you might have expected hard boiled eggs and cereal too, so that was the only thing that threw us off. But we will be back (with our own cereal) since we do love it here and they renovated an entire BUILDING over 2025. Highly recommend this place!

The good things were excellent, but some areas of improvement too. On a positive front desk staff super friendly, free continental breakfast excellent (Cabot Greek yogurt and wonderful granola). Afternoon cookies delicious. Housekeeping did excellent job refreshing room daily. The double queen room itself was a bit tired/dated, and heat hard to get a comfortable setting (and it’s loud). Parking outside our rooms front door is convenient, but didn’t realize when we booked it that it was a 1950s motel style with a walk outside to get from the room to lobby.

I only gave it 4 stars because the property is still under renovation, so the pool and hot tub weren’t available, and we weren’t able to get the first floor room we had reserved. The property was located in a good location and provided adequate amenities; however, they really didn't advise that they were going through major renovations, and the 7:30 am wake-up to loud construction noises was awful. Two days before our stay, we were advised that the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. In the end, we would have made reservations elsewhere to avoid these issues.

I cannot say enough great things about this property. Especially the front desk girl at night. I believe her name is Alicia. She was so sweet and so helpful with all of questions. The bowling staff was amazing and friendly too. Our second time staying here and we love it!!

Just a side note….. our room was literally outside of the construction they have going on until December. It was NOISY!!! They start early too. When I booked with Expedia, there was zero mention of construction

Room was clean and beds comfortable. Think there had been pets in the room as there was a slight odour to the room and the other rooms around had dogs. At one point I was sat in the room looking out and a dog owner walked past while his dog decided to leave a parcel right outside the patio doors. He did clean it up but not what you want to be stating at out of your room. Don’t think it made it clear on the booking about the pet situation and I’m allergic to dogs which is an issue in a room no matter how well it’s cleaned

The staff was phenomenal. The manager suggested we move to adjoining rooms on property (definitely the right call for our teens!), to offering endless fresh baked cookies, restaurant recommendations, and just overall being kind and welcoming! The rooms were spacious, clean, and despite the construction, we were able to rest and relax.
The river and mini golf were highlights of the stay for our kids. They’re already talking about returning!

The property is great for families (Miniature golf, bowling, pool, river, s'mores by the campfire...). It's also a very convenient location. We were able to walk to our favorite restaurant in under 5 minutes! It's truly a wonderful hotel!

Great resort with beautiful grounds. The area is quiet. We enjoyed the bowling and food on site. They also have a room with books and board games to borrow during your stay. The staff is amazing and super friendly and helpful. Fresh baked cookies, hot cocoa, and coffee at all times! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We got a loft room and our only complaint was the upstairs was warm. Air conditioning is on the bottom only so it was hot at times. They had a fan available upstairs which we used to cool down loft area. Great resort!!!

It was really an awesome stay. We stayed 2 nights. The area of the hotel is convenient and so much to do. We loved the mini golf and bowling on premises. Food at bowling alley was good too. Drinks are a bit expensive but food you get a discount on. The pool was a little chilly but a good option when raining outdoors. The hot tub was enjoyable though. The coffee and tea and snacks in lobby were always there. That was a nice option. There are sprcial nights like Sat. is Smores night and they provide everything including the sticks. You can toast marshmallows indoors or outside. There are plenty of picnic tables too. Pets are welcome too.
