The apartment was spacious and had all amenities required including ,microwave, kettle,cutlery and utensils and even a washing machine if needed . This was a great advantage as due to the stormy weather I couldn't venture out every day for lunch and or dinner with my kids so we bought essentials from the minimart attached to the hotel.The property is a little dated in furnishings etc but is well maintained and kept very clean with fresh towels almost daily and toiletries topped up .
The breakfast was more than satisfactory and there was ample choice between hot and cold buffet with live station for eggs ,pancakes and waffles that kept the kids happy.
There is a large heated indoor pool and jacuzzi,although we would have spent more time in the pool had it been a bit warmer.
The games room has table tennis, pool table and a bar football table to spend some time .Have been to Sitges many times over the years but my first stay in this hotel, its a quiet location right on the sea front and a half hour walk to the main centre, cabs are easy to get but can cost almost 20€ one way which is steep IMO ,however the hotel has ample bikes offered gor free rental if you choose to be active and want to get the town straight road all the way .
The staff are very friendly and helpful as and when required.

Got AC issue.
The room only reached 22°C, so I set it to 24°C, but it stayed below 23°C. Staff tried to help, but nothing changed, so they provided a blanket.
The room is large and seems unable to handle outside air. The entrance faces outdoors, allowing outside air to enter from both sides.

Rented an ocean front room with a kitchen. Very nice and highly recommended! However, hotel management staff suddenly and without warning cut off the electricity to our room. This prevented us from using our kitchen while making breakfast and using the bathroom (no lights) for about 2 hours. Hotel manager was difficult to deal with and did not help us with our problem. He identified himself as sub director “M.M” and was rude and confrontational over a simple issue. Very unusual experience. However, the general staff at the hotel were good. Front clerks helpful and cleaning staff excellent.

It’s a little tired and a real shame with the breakfast, great selection but the hot food was cold ( the hot plates didn’t work). On the first day, turned up 30 mins before breakfast ended and everything freezing, limited options as they didn’t replenish anything, churros rock hard and sausages undercooked. Second day went early and same again, the staff in the restaurant apologised and spoke to reception but said there is nothing they could do as no one else has complained… rude

Disappointing Stay at Sunway Playa Golf Hotel
My recent stay at the Sunway Playa Golf Hotel was a letdown despite the friendly staff and well-presented general areas. The core issue was the rooms, which were extremely basic and showed heavy use, definitely not deserving of a four-star rating.
My so-called Junior Suite was misleading. It was a one-bedroom apartment with a second bed squeezed into the living space. This meant there was no dedicated area to relax; the entire space felt cramped, and the small balcony was poorly furnished. The linens and towels were also below standard, with some towels being threadbare—unacceptable given the price.
Facilities were equally worn. The indoor heated pool had missing tiles and a persistent scum line on the siding where guests had etched names, making the area look tired and dated.
Location-wise, the hotel is a trek from town (the tourist train is an option), and it suffers from significant noise issues. Functions on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday blared loud music until 1 AM, preventing sleep. Even without the music, noise traveled easily from other rooms and from furniture scraping on the floors.
While the staff are great, the overall experience—from the quality of the 'suites' to the noise and poor maintenance—means I cannot recommend this hotel. There are much better, quieter, and cheaper options in Sitges.

I was not able to make the first night of a 2 night reservation because my flight to BCN was cancelled. After showing proof of the flight cancellation, they refused to give a refund. The room was not upgraded. The bed is tiny. The bathtub is not easy to get in and out of and the floors are slippery. The cabinets in the kitchen had water damage. The a la carts restaurant for breakfast had one waitress for 15 tables. A solid 3 star hotel.

A couple of minor areas for improvement- Bathroom door didn’t have a lock on it and front bedroom could have done with a net curtain to avoid people looking in. Also breakfast was a bit pricey- it would be a good idea to have a family breakfast package.

Right on the sea front, we had a lovely apartment and large balcony, very quiet area, with the tourist train stop right by the hotel which will take you in to Stiges. Nice pool area, with small covered playground for children. A handy supermarket below the hotel where prices and choice were good. Would stay here again.

One small let down.

The hotel is amazing, the location is just gorgeous and the facilities are perfect. Lovely clean rooms, 2 pools, a gym, very plush. The only thing letting this hotel down is the service of the staff. They’re not friendly, not helpful and make you feel quite uncomfortable. In both the hotel and the shop adjoining. I wouldn’t let it put you off staying here, I’d just say it’s a good idea to be aware

The hotel is very nice, we checked into the hotel in the evening only one member of staff at reception. Check in took half an hour or so and not much information given regarding pool opening hours restaurants on site etc. I had to make a noise complaint as the apartment above was playing thumping music at midnight. Despite my complaint this went on until early hours. Staff were friendly, the room and hotel was spotless, and the indoor pool was hit especially with my children. Overall I would recommend the hotel.

Although this property was on the edge of town, my husbamd and I really appreciated that they have plenty of bikes to use for free.

Our room was beautiful and HUGE (room 1-13) with a beautiful double-sized patio.

I had a perfect stay with my family (2 adults, 1 x 6 year old, 1 x 1 year old) We stayed in the 2 bed apartment that was exactly what we needed. Balcony facing out over the golf course & sea with the additional highlight of the sunset. My 6 year old enjoyed both the beach and pool and my 1 year old enjoyed the indoor pool which was a bit warmer.
Breakfast was great and everyone found food they loved, the facilities were spot on and perfect for what we needed. The sandy beach was only 200m away with free use of the sun loungers to hotel only guests which also had a restaurant/bar next to it as well.
There was free car parking about a 10 min walk if you don't want to pay £25 per day for the hotel car park. Sitges main town is about a 30 mins walk however the walk is along the sea front but you can jump on the road 'train' that takes you into the town in about 10minsand only cost £2.50 per person one way.

We had a great day, as there was such a beautiful view from our balcony. The room is very spacious with fantastic storage. The staff as individuals were friendly, but there was a slightly slapdash culture at the hotel, led by the manager. For example, when we arrived, there were a few people complaining and this set the tone as overall our week there was very good but the service was not impeccable. They did not go above and beyond to accommodate the guests, although the facilities were great so overall we would recommend it.

Such a nice view and great facilities. Free bike so we drove almost every day in 5-10 minutes to Sitges. Eather to enjoy the nice city or to go to the train station where you can go in 45 minutes to Barcelona City centre for just 30 Euro (return ticket 4 persons in total!).
But also near the hotel there is nice beach and coffee/breakfast places.
We will defintely go again and this we almost never do.

Amazing views and family apartment, polite and courteous staff, great food, indoor and outdoor pools were fabulous. Our stay was excellent - as always when we come here. We have been going to Catalonia regularly since 2008, especially here to Sitges. For years we lived in an apartment, now we alternate and try staying in hotels.
This hotel suits us best, the room was spacious with a large terrace overlooking the city and the sea, and that's what we wanted.
This room would need a bit of investment - to fix the leaking shower head, to add and renew the utensils in the kitchen and a few other small things. Also, the phone did not work when I wanted to call the reception - the maid present witnessed my unsuccessful attempt.
But they were little things, the staff was pleasant (the staff was a little less nice on the terrace in the Vento restaurant, more in the hotel and at the reception), the hotel has an excellent location, we enjoyed it and will probably come back here - maybe with the family and sometime next summer. Anyway - it was great, a wonderful (althouhg short) stay for us.
Perfect outdoor pool with private garden and also indoor pool.

Property has a good location close to Sitges City Center (20 - 25 min walking)
Be aware that the room pictures are misleading. Rooms with ocean view don’t offer a full front view, but rather a distant side view with a front view of the golf course. We raised that concern at the front desk and they told us that we needed to request front sea view ahead of time, yet this information is not available on the property description.
Their bikes lack of proper maintenance and most of them have flat tires, are rusty or like in our case, bikes were not on the designated spots. Parking inside is a bit inconvenient, not an easy way in and out.
Last but not least, if you would like breakfast, make sure to pay in advance, otherwise you may ended up paying 60 Euros for 1 adult and 2 kids for a buffets full of sweets.
Overall, I would not recommend this place, there are better options for less or same price.

The hotel allows smoking on the balcony and right out side facility so if smoking bothers you it could affect your enjoyment. Staff are friendly and try to help when requested. We liked our stay. It had 3 restaurants, an outdoor pool and indoor. The service for cab pickup was perfect and left us at ease having someone there to wait for us.
Hotel was close to the beach and was less than a 2 mile walk to the main area, which was nice since we could get in our exercise. They have free bike rentals as well. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed with my family of 6 for 5 days.
2x separate rooms at both ends of a rather large building wasn't great.
2,5 km to the city center, so the free rental bikes come in handy, if they're working.

In-house amenities are OK, but would've preferred the summer to have access to the outdoor pool area.

All in, the stay was OK, but I would've booked closer to the city center to have better access to it (since we're not playing golf).

Comfortable apartment with wonderful sea view

We stayed in this apartment in November and had stayed at Sunway Playa Golf and Spa previously. The location is at the end of the seafront and serviced in the daytime by the L2 bus between the hotel and the train station and market. There is a minimarket which is convenient for basics in the basement. The apartment, itself, had a wonderful sea view was spacious, comfortable and clean and the daily housekeeping was carried out to a high standard. The bed was comfortable and there was no external noise. The shower was powerful. The Wi-Fi worked. The facilities for cooking were limited as there were only two rings, the pots and pans were large and it was difficult to fit two items on at the same time. The staff in reception, the Vento bar /restaurant, the breakfast area and housekeeping were all friendly, polite and helpful.

A lovely hotel with lovely views. Clean, well presented and the apartment had everything we needed. Maybe an English TV channel would have been nice(I did scroll through every channel available) but we were not there to watch TV. What was a problem for me were other guests moving wooden chairs & tables around on tiled floors after 10pm and into the early hours of the morning. I was woken up at 02:20am by this and the client playing loud music and then shouting over it. I reported this to the front desk and the music was dealt but they were still noisy until 04:00am. This then repeated at 00:20am the next day without the music, then 05:30am the final day of our stay. I fully realise you can't teach guests etiquette but maybe the hotel could soften the contact points on the chairs and tables?

The hotel is incredible both in location, on the beach, quiet and beautiful. the room we had was a 2 bedroom with kitchen and was perfect for us. the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. the only minus to this hotel is the evening restaurant. We went there 3 times and there was not many other patrons (5 other tables) for a few drinks and tapas and each time the service was worse. I'm not sure the staff really wanted to there and as we eventually had to get our own menus and eventually ask for service. The food itself was good but compared to the other places in Sitges we went this was by far the worse for service. We overlooked that from a overall perspective and would definitely recommend others to the hotel, just not the restaurants unless updates occur.

All of the main communal areas of the hotel are model and stylish. We booked a superior double with sea view. The actual room and en-suite was tired and dated in decor, WiFi very patchy even though maintenance tried to fix it. The room was very clean and view from the room was fantastic.
The pool area was very pleasant with plenty of sun loungers.
The walk into town takes approximately 40 minutes along the beach front.
The morning breakfast was fantastic, we also had lunch which again was very tasty.
Overall this is a good hotel to visit with friendly staff.

Though I booked a superior room with sea view, I was given a one bed room apartment with no sea view from the room. When I went to ask about it, the lady at the reception just said they are in the same category and asked me to stand aside and went on checking in new customers and I stood there for 15 mins without a word from her. At last I gave up and came back to my room when I thought it was enough humiliation. I was the only Indian (asian) there. Poor staff I would say since they still do racism.

Would definitely come again. Great with kids, especially having an on site grocery shop.
